Don't let the exterior of the building or the bar atmosphere fool you - the food here is great. I'm a bit of a lobster roll snob and this one ranked up there with the best of them. I had family with me and we almost turned away after walking in, but we were thankful we stayed. All of our food was excellent. Service was a bit hit or miss as there weren't many people working and there aren't many tables unless you're on the deck, so don't set your expectations too high for the service. And even with the service, our small party of three had a 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill. The view from the deck is nice overlooking the inlet and out to the Cliff Walk in the distance.

Really good lobster rolls, but watch out - they charge an automatic 20% gratuity. Would have given 4 stars, but there were only 2 of us and we ordered 2 lobster rolls and 2 beers and they charged $8 in gratuity. By the way, there were only 4 other people in the bar.

Had a livingsocial deal which we informed our server of at the time of the order. Shortly after ordering, the server informed us that the Chef told her she could not honor our voucher as it was not printed out. I pulled up the deal/voucher on my Iphone and gave it to the sever. Directly above the voucher number which appeared on my livinigsocial account it stated "Show this to your server", which I proceeded to do. They insisted that the voucher had to be printed (with no printer on site) they refused to honor it. I felt we were treated very poorly and I clearly had no intention of coming back to the restaurant to use the voucher after how we were treated. They lost a valuable customer......

Its winter time in Newport, even if it feels like May. No one is in town. We roll in with Restaurant.com coupons knowing we are kind of annoying, and we still get treated like kings. Place was not busy, but we still get great food and service and that is why the Easton's Point Pub has earned a 4! As for the food...the fish tacos are amazing. As soon as we finished eating them (yes..all four of us ordered the same thing they sounded so good), we found out a local news paper was actually doing a story on the very same scrumptious burrito ("taco")that i had just engulfed. Each "taco" filled with fresh field greens, at least a 6 oz. filet of cod, authentic Baja Sauce and pico. I have spent lots of time in Baja and I must say they do a good job with this sauce. I say go. Keep this place open in the off season, and enjoy their specials. If you can make if for a sunset that is a huge bonus!

Easton's has the best food in Newport. We have lived here two years and have not found anywhere with a lobster roll and good daily specials like they do. The service is outstanding. They are all very warm and attentive. It is very reasonably priced. With a bar casual feeling and a fine dining menu.

This is a very basic sort of "dive" bar/pub with an awesome lobster roll & very friendly staff. I found it on Yelp & glad I stopped by. The only negative for me is that they only had one Chardonnay - Mondavi, which I'm not a big fan of - but then I guess I shouldn't expect a fine Chardonnay in a dive bar :-)

Purchased a $10 for 20 deal through the app a couple days ago after a random errand in the area .. Sat out on the deck overlooking the water and adorable wild bunnies in the parking lot. The clam chowder is superb, the stuffie was to die for and had a nice kick to it, and finally the calamari .. So fresh and perfectly breaded, I wish I had ordered more. The service was excellent and I will definitely be returning with friends.

This place is a great local hot-spot that I visit every time I'm in town. The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing. I just ate their mussels with chourizo and onions in a white-wine butter style sauce. I've also had their burgers and they are one of the best I've had in town. I met the owner the last time I was there and he had just returned from catching the Black Sea-Bass for their daily catch! THAT is fresh fish! They also have the most gorgeous sunset view in town. It's more of a casual pub setting and also have live music I think from the posters I saw. It reminds me of Cheers... they always know my name!

I'm a burger junky, and the burger and hand-cut fries served at Easton's Point Pub is easily my favorite on Aquidneck Island.

Great food, value & service with an amazing view of the sunset! Try the peach BBQ Chicken pizza, fish tacos, coconut chicken, and fish & chips. Huge portions and home made food-not the bagged junk you get down the street. I agree with the other review that called Easton's a "Diamond in the rough"!

Place was great. I believe it was the owner that waited on us and we could not have asked for a better guy. Recommended the special, a lobster roll. Was one of the best I've ever had! We'll definitely be back when we're in Newport again.

Had lunch here today with my family. What a great find! Where to even begin with the food..... We ordered the specials: Chowder and a "stuffy" - chowder was very good. Full of clams and dill just the way I like it. The stuffy was beyond words. Quahog was filled with sausage and bread like stuffing all mixed together and baked in it's shell. I could eat one of these every day. Lobster roll was served on a toasted buttered hamburger bun. LOTS of lobster all held together with mayo and celery. Excellent! The absolute highlight of the meal was the fried clam platter. The very, very best I have ever had. Light seasoned batter and fresh, yes fresh, clams that were delivered while I was sitting there. Other highlights of the meal: A Bloody Mary to die for. Mix is made from scratch every day. Had 2 it was so wonderful. The slaw was great too. Tons of flavor, tangy, sweet and creamy. Spoke with the owner Jim who was working behind the bar. He owns the place with his son who does all the cooking. Very friendly and you can tell he is proud of his place. For those of you that smoke you can go out to the balcony overlooking Easton's Pond ( I think that's what he called it) instead of hiding in the parking lot like a criminal which is what I usually encounter. Best meal by far that I've had since I've been in Newport. Side note: Flo's Clam Shack it right around the corner. I ordered the same thing there (clams, slaw, quahog, lobster roll) and it was the worst meal I have had in Newport. So do yourself a huge favor and drive the extra 3 minutes around the corner from Flo's to Easton's Point Pub

I love this place because it's a different experience every single time! Catch the sun setting on the deck, live music on Saturdays, or order one of the best pizzas on the island.

It's hard to give anything in Newport five stars, because there are so many genuine five-star restaurants (although Easton's is actually in Middletown). After a day on the beach we chose Easton's Point Pub based on the location -- just a few blocks away, so we didn't have to deal with parking on the strip -- and the reviews on Yelp. It was a good choice! Since it was 4:00 Sunday after a day at the beach, we didn't experience the upstairs dining room, which is billed as a nice place for a romantic dinner overlooking the water. We sat in the pub on the main floor, so this review only pertains to that. There is a big stage at one end, so I assume they do live music on Friday/Saturday nights. It's not very big, but they've got a nice outside deck with a view of the bay across the parking lot. They manage to fit in a pool table, too, and the walls are adorned with posters from Surfer Magazine. It's looks like a fun place for a weekend evening after playing in the sun all day. Our server was also handling the bar, but that didn't stop her from being super-friendly and super-attentive. Frankly, she is the reason for the fourth star; service like this is a rarity. We started with a beer and a vodka & soda, which was a big drink, served in a 16oz beer glass. Then we ordered the "stuffy," stuffed quahog. Served with a drizzle of hot sauce on the plate, full of spicy chorizo, piled high in the shell -- damned fine! The bar menu had a wide variety, but several items were blacked out. There were several specials, and we selected the fish tacos and lobster roll. The fish tacos were, as others have said, outstanding. Served almost open-face on a lightly grilled flour tortilla, with a couple of pieces of flaky, perfectly fried cod, some delicious ranch-salsa dressing and topped with a dollop of cole slaw. These might have been the best fish tacos I've ever had. The lobster roll wasn't your traditional New England style lobstah roll; instead of a hot-dog bun, the meat was piled high on a big buttered/grilled bulky roll. It was the mayo & celery style lobster salad, but very light on the mayo and celery. Just enough to add some nice flavors. The lobster was the focus, not lots of sloppy dressing, and it was very good. There are so many great restaurants in the area, but Easton's Point Pub & Restaurant is a solid choice if you're in the Aquidneck Avenue part of town. I'd go back...I'd like to try that romantic dining room upstairs. And props once again to our server.

We had a discount offer from restaurant.com and the server told us they had a party and couldn't serve us. Then he told us they were out of the items we wanted. Lobster rolls were listed on the sign outside but they were out of them. We were served barbecue wings not the buffalo wings we ordered. Food was lukewarm not hot. Steak sandwich was tough and roll fell apart. Service was poor but added 20% tip to check.

Wife and I had prime rib here and it was okay. She had to have hers cooked a bit more because it was undercooked from what she asked for. Service was fine and the cook came out later to apologize. The bar is a bar so it's not exactly a high end place but they have plenty of TVs and drinks available. I don't think it would be ideal for a large group getting dinner, but is fine for small to medium parties. They have games here too so you can play some darts or pool.

After my first visit I've been here a number of times... Each time I've had great food and good service. This is why you give people a second chance, especially when they have good fresh food. Everybody's been friendly and have provided good service. Nick remembers me, he even remembered me after he only met me once. So maybe this will become my local bar after all...

We were out-of-towners on a mini road trip with our french bulldog and needed a place to eat on our way home. We found Easton's on yelp and saw that it had great reviews as well as a dog friendly place to eat. It was Labor Day, so the place was pretty empty, which meant we had our own view of the water on the outdoor deck. The owner immediately pulled out ice water for our frenchie as well as some dog treats. Super friendly and very accommodating. We ordered the clam chowda (the best we had in New England and I think it's the added dill), lobster roll (super fresh and not too mayo-y - just how we like it), and the mussels - white wine sauce was on point! Bloody (spicy) Marys also hit the spot. The place is very chill and we're very glad to have given this place a chance. It also seems like a great place for drinks with your friends at a low key dive bar but with the hospitality of a super charming B&B. I would definitely recommend the place!

Small dive bar type place, very cool, food is amazing! The lobster roll and the beef short ribs are out of this world! The hostess was super nice and we met the chef and she was very nice and talked to us about how she made the food... We will absolutely be back!

We were on the hunt for a place that had food and Keno. You would be surprised at how few there are. The list drops considerably when my mother is involved as she is extremely picky. Upon walking in we were warmly greeted, and seated. The atmosphere is...well...dive bar. When you walk in don't expect fancy. But I feel most comfortable in dive bars so I was good. It was a rainy miserable day when we were there, and I seriously can't wait to go back on a nice day when the deck is open. I can see myself having a beer, and looking out at the water. I love days like that. The bartender was great. Friendly and funny, there was never a lack in service. In fact, instead of making me go up to the bar, he took my keno slips up himself. My mother's food was excellent, and mine was above average. The only reason mine was above average is because the black bean burger I got was huge, and literally fell apart as soon as I picked it up. It was too big for it's own good. I had to eat the whole thing with a fork and knife, which is frankly, annoying. But I will definitely be back for more food in the future.

Very good food and great service! The coconut chicken and fish tacos were lightly fried not covered in batter so the favors really came through!

Great food but don't bother ordering anything other than wings until after 5pm. It's a good after work hang out. They even have a smoking and drinking friendly patio

Thanks for the great service and conversation Nick! Excellent fried clams and fries, and delicious coleslaw. My daughter had the chicken and broccoli Alfredo with garlic bread and swears it was the best she's ever had!

Delicious food and friendly staff. Very casual but the food and service far exceed that of any more upscale restaurant that we visited while in the Newport area. I would definitely recommend checking them out!

Ate there last night. The Sea Bass was among the best I've ever had. My wife had the Lobster roll which she said was delicious. Jillian was our server and was very friendly and efficient. The Rhode Island specialty (Stuffie) stuffed clam was wonderful. Why pay twice as much to dine in an overpriced crowded tourist trap when you can get great food here. I'm recommending this place to everyone I know who visits Newport.

Went there after we completed the Cliff Walk so we all had a serious appetite! The Bloody Mary mix is made fresh daily so I had to try it. It did not disappoint! Probably the best Bloody Mary I've ever had! My 15 and 17 year old children had the Cajun chicken Alfredo and cleaned their plates. I should note that they are both very picky eaters so the fact that they loved this dish says a lot. My husband had the chowder and Stuffy and loved it. I had the chowder as well and it was the bestie had since I got to RI a week ago (my first time here). The staff was so friendly too! I will be coming back!
