Service is extremely slow and the food is NOT worth the wait. Marinara sauce has meat in it (they don't tell you that).

Used to be ok but it has gone way downhill. Either burnt or has so many toppings its no longer considered pizza. It always takes FOREVER. They have ridiculous charges ($2.00 for delivery?? And it doesn't even go to the driver!!). Completely overrated they're lucky they don't have much competition. Plus the owner is NOT a good person.

The first word that pops into my head when thinking of this place is: Slow. We sat down to eat on a Tuesday night when they do the discounted wing night. We ordered a soda, a glass of wine, and 20 wings. The bar wasn't crowded at all, and it took us 40 minutes to see our wings. While reading the menu I notice it stated something along the lines of " We're not fast, because we're not fast food. We're good food. " Okay, yeah that's great. UMMM but there is something wrong if you need to put that in your menu -- not to mention the whole taking 40 minutes to make 20 chicken wings. We came in at 8:00, We didn't leave until 9:40. I've had far more complex meals in less time then that, with a restaurant full of people. Another thing I found very weird, is that they don't let you take your wings home with you on Tuesday nights. I overheard the waitress saying that she'd get fired if she let someone take the discounted wings home. What? It's not a buffet. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to just let people throw the food away? Now, not for nothing. I'm sure there are some starving people who would love those wings your pointlessly throwing away. .. The wings however were good. Just SLOW. The bar menu was kind of garbage too. Just beer and cheap wine.

Horrible is all I can say. Pizza is terrible, grinders are even worse. On one occasion we ordered an Italian grinder and it was SOAKED in Greek? dressing. Yes Greek, not even Italian. Next it was toasted. Not acceptable. Also, the tuna grinder was toasted! Who likes to eat warm mayo?

Although the food isn't bad... You should really take a hint at the other reviews that all say how LONG it takes for the food. If it takes an hour to make a pizza imagine how long it takes to deliver it, every single time. They are lucky they are one of the few places that deliver around us

pretty lousy experience here. I came in a party of four and was helped right away. The food took forever to get out and there were staff sitting near us texting at tables. We were just about the only people in the restaurant. I ordered potato skins with extra bacon and got some kind of bacon-cheese pie that tasted like pure butter. My friend got some kind of french fry casserole which was pretty bland. The weirdest part was that the staff overheard me commenting on the long wait time, and the chef was staring through the window watching us it. The whole vibe was uncomfortable. Definitely would not come back here, there are better places to eat than exeter

If you had any question to the claims made in other reviews, I will confirm that both times I have placed orders to go, they have taken at least 30 minutes and that is for pickup. The pizza I had tonight was over cooked and somewhat burnt which means they could have improved the time. The first time we decided to give Twisted a try was about a month ago. We had some calzones french fries and pasta, of everything that we had in stock and the fries were the best but it's pretty hard to screw up french fries. The sauce on the pasta was very plain, I have had sauce out of the jar that has tasted better and had more flavorful. Since Pizza is by far my favorite I figured I would give them a second try and went with a cheese pizza tonight, that is since I did not want to make the longer drive to pizza shops on the eastern side of North Kingstown. I will not make that mistake again, and drive further. The pizza was overcooked and very dry the crust was inedible. They also advertise it on the menu as a thin crust which I take for the traditional hand tossed type of pizza. However, this was clearly the pan style - Greek pizza that everyone else describes in their reviews. For that style of pizza I would much rather make the longer drive to Socrates Pizza on Post Road. If you want the hand tossed type of pizza visit Peir Pizza on Post Road. I clearly believe the reason this location does any business at all is due to the extreme lack of pizza shops in this part of town.

Filippou's Pizza is ok, but there's definitely better pizza in Rhode Island. The restaurant itself is very nicely set up, with a few booths and tables in the main part where the kitchen is. The other side has a new bar and flatscreen TV. There are three or so beers on tap, and some others available in bottles. They do have a pinball machine, which is very cool. The food itself is fair. It's a Greek style pizza, with a thicker crust and cooked in a pan so it gets crunchy. Not my favorite style, but it's fine for what it is. The subs are ok, but they bake all their subs, so if you don't like your roll toasted make sure to mention it. I was very disappointed with their Philly style cheese steak. All the meat was extremely over-seasoned with some concoction that tasted mostly of salt and oregano. Barely any cheese, and again that toasted sub roll. Sorry, but this is an insult to the real thing. I think they put a "twist" on all their food by adding this spice mix, or whatever it is, but even a simple meatball sub has an unusual flavor to it. Ok if you have no other options, but definitely not a place to go out of your way for.

45 min-hour from ordering for lunch. A burger, wings and a sandwich. Only a couple of us in the restaurant. Outta grilled chicken, but OK with that, got the gyro instead. Food was good, actually tasted great...but my onion rings came with a uncooked frozen french fry in it. The waitress was seriously doing other things like greeting friends (not patrons). It took over an hour to get a rather uneventfully flavored lunch. Had higher hopes. Perhaps better to order from home, or order ahead of time as I saw other customers doing. I agree, the service was terrible really and took so long I was just about to walk out.

Food was ok but the service was terrible. Also took forever for pizza to come out. Frank and Johns down the street is much better.

Owner takes pride in her establishment : these guys recently built a bar on the other side of the restaurant, with ability to serve beer & wine. Lots of work has gone into this place lately. Effie makes sure her customers are happy and will customize orders to suit dietary needs (try the veggie wrap with the special sauce!) The pizza's great and they deliver to most places in the area.

I have a small addiction to their eggplant pizza! I drive slightly out of my way to pick 1 up just about every week! I find the crust to be delightful and much better than any of my other local pizza shops. I have strayed and ordered a few other items and they were also very good! The pizza skins, for example, were yummy. The staff is super friendly and the place is clean and nice.

The pizza is good, thicker crust, I give credit to owner, I ordered pizza one night and it took an hour, but owner recognized that and gave me a gift certificate, she saved my business by doing that.

Out of the blue one night at a friends house in Exeter we decided to try twisted pizza. Instead of my usual chicken parm grinder I tried the chicken cordon blu grinder. It was so good its worth the drive! Absolute new favorite place for grinders! Only downfall, they don't deliver to me! I believe they only deliver within a mile of the resturant.
