OUTSTANDING......one of the best Italian restaurants in the area, Dominic would have to be the finest host any restaurant has seen. A true asset. We go for lunch and for dinner. The food is always excellent and of high quality, beautifully prepared. The prices overall are moderate. Sometimes I'll actually crave one of their dishes such as Chicken a'la Sal which is offered on a limited basis. Their soups are INCREDIBLE...some of the best I've ever tasted. Located in shopping plaza, doesn't look like much outside, although inside is warm & inviting...nothing pretentious, but not unattractive, either. Just a wonderful restaurant!

One of the best of bucks. Always a good time at the restaurant, and take out is great too. I would hate to see them get too big and lose the control of the dishes served... Don't let me down 4.5

So I've been reading all the Yelp reviews about carlucci's grill. so decided to give it a try on fathers day for dinner!! When I arrived around 5 p.m. It was kind of packed, but was seated as soon as possible.. The staff was very friendly and the service was top notch. A few issues I had, I was seated in the corner table and it was tight, so mabe them removing a table or two could help make some more room. Will get to the other issue soon. But after being seated I was welcomed by a nice young pleasant waitress, she brought these cubes of bread with marinara sauce on top, and wow it was so good, then she asked what we would like to drink, brought the Drinks back within 5 minutes with a loaf of some kind of bread with some kind of seasonings on top. And was so good. Then when I place my order. I went for the homemade eggplant parmesan, and it either comes with spinach or pasta. I went with angel hair pasta,, you get to choose what kind you like. And can choose between a salad or soup, decided to go with the Cesar salad, the salad was good and was fresh. but the other issue I had was with how much sauce they put on the pasta and the eggplant parm. It was covered in sauce. Mabe they could cut down on that alittle. But that did not stop me from enjoying the meal, eggplant was so fresh and even the pasta was good, but the next time I will go with something a little different, something that doesn't have a lot of sauce on it like the seafood, For dessert I got a cannoli, and it was the best I have ever had, so if you want to try something good for dessert give that a try, or even the chocolate mousse cake what's good, Other than the few issues I had. I definitely recommend this place, and I will be coming back to enjoy another dinner in the near future.

Birthday dinner for a party of six. After we were seated, the table was treated to some rolls smothered in a tasty marinara sauce and a fresh garlic/olive oil pita which we all shared while ordering. Half of the table had grilled salmon with the others enjoying tilapia, crab in red gravy over pasta and grilled vegetables over pasta with some sliced chicken. Everyone enjoyed their plates enormously. The broccoli and potato soup was great. The salads were fresh and ample to start things off (they came with the platters). We shared a couple of BYOB bottles of wine and had a birthday cake that we brought in. The service was attentive and friendly. The manager led an enthusiastic happy birthday to finish the meal. A definite return for all of us.

We just wanted to grab some lunch before heading in to the nearby Kohl's to do some shopping. We did not expect much from a strip mall eatery, but Carlucci's can definitely be classified as a hidden gem. It is very nicely appointed inside, a lot fancier than we expected, with wall dividers hiding most of the dining room from the large front windows. They have a varied menu of Italian favorites, or considering their many sandwiches, Italian-flavored favorites. We ordered a roast pepper dip that was on special and a side of Sautéed Spinach. Both were amazingly delectable, and we vowed to come back when we really had time to explore their menu, and to tell everyone we knew about the place.

Excellent. From start to finish a great dining experience. My wife, 3 year old daughter and I walked in an hour before closing and we're greeted warmly at the door and seated immediately. She had chicken princess and I had the eggplant arnaud. Both were incredible. Our daughter had the basic chicken fingers and fries which was above average. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse and a cannoli. Both came with a scoop of chocolate ice cream and we're soooo good. We were there well after closing but we were not rushed. In fact, it felt very relaxed. Our waiter was one of the best I've had in a long time. A nice break after 2 days at sesame place! In case you are wondering, 3 dinners and dessert $65 . Worth every penny! Don't let the GPS fool you , they're in the kohl's shopping center.

Amazing dinner! Our party of four had crab cakes that were the absolute best crab cakes we've ever eaten. The linguine scoliosis was superb! We also had the salmon shrimp and crab cake entree scrumptious. Wolfgang recommended another dish not on the menu that was insane! Sea bass, scallops, and crab cake...we are from California and found this restaurant on yelp! We would highly recommend coming here! The owner Dominico "Sergio" was so hospitable!

Another great meal. Outstanding seafood bisque and fabulous Palm Salad with blackened grilled shrimp. Hubby had chicken florentine which received accolades. Love the puff dough bread that comes with every meal. Don't see our favorite manager, Dominico. Where are you?

Great food and love that it's BYOB. Only complaint is the tables are close together so it's a bit cramped in there and can get a little loud.

I moved from Philly to Levittown recently and this place is not only the best food I've had in the suburbs, but it also is on par with very good Italian food in south Philly. A leisurely delicious meal, an attentive waiter, and a friendly owner all came together for a great experience. Skip the nasty chains and go here! You've got a gem Bucks County!

Although we have only three official check ins we have eaten here many times. The decor & layout of the restaurant are designed very well. You are greeted at the door by the hostess & manager (owner? Who also happens to have a magnificent singing voice.) & promptly brought to your table. Even at its busiest, wait times, if any, are minimal. The food is absolutely delicious & the service is by far the best of any restaurant in the region. Upon seating you are presented with several slices of focaccia smothered in tomato sauce. When your meal is served you're given a loaf of "puffy bread" with garlic & olive oil. This is a perfect compliment to each & every dish on the menu. No matter what you order you simply cannot go wrong. This last time I ordered the Fettucine Diablo. The pasta was fresh, the sauce was slightly spicy & 3 of the 5 "jumbo shrimp" were so large they may very well have qualified as sea monsters. Needless to say I was unable to finish the dish due to the generous portions of pasta & shrimp (I did make sure to finish the shrimp). My wife ordered the seafood sampler from the specials menu. While it was listed under the appetizers section it was clearly a meal in & of itself. The generous portions of mussels, clams, & calamari were cooked to perfection. The crab cakes were slightly overcooked but she enjoyed them nonetheless. Our son ordered the pepperoni pizza, his usual. It was made fresh & he was able to eat half of it. No simple task for a youngster as it is a good size for a personal pizza. Carlucci's Grill is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in the Philadelphia metropolitan region. The food & service are second to none. Forget the traffic & wait times for Center City Italian fare, go to Carlucci's Grill. You won't regret & will most likely become a regular.

This was my first time here and it was very good food. . I did find out I do not like gnocchi... Sadly a little pricey to find out I don't like it... But it is a texture thing for me. . The seafood canoli got rave reviews. Worth the drive..

I have been coming to Carlucci's Grill about once or twice a year for over ten years for dinner with my family. I love coming here because of how consistent the service and the quality of the food is here! The service is always very good. They are friendly, give great suggestions, and are good with their timing. The food here is also something to write about! I always try different dishes here and always love what I get! My favorite part is the bread covered in a marinara sauce! So delicious! This restaurant is great and I would definitely recommend it!

Planned a large get together with friends, about 14. The food and service was great, except a server dropped a plate of bread with red sauce on me. I was insulted when the manager offered me $2 to get my shirt dry cleaned. Regardless, the food and service was great, excluding having red sauce spilled on my head and shirt, and then being offered $2 for dry cleaning. I would definitely recommend Carlucci's for a large group, but call at least a week in advance. I like how it's BYOB and you can bring your own cake, you save a lot of money with a large group. The location is ideal, right off Route 1, near 95 and the PA turnpike, right down the road from Sesame Place.

Top end service, taste, quality, and value. If you have not yet tried Carlucci's, you have been missing out on a great dining experience. I went back (for my fifth or sixth visit), this time for dinner on Sunday. We had to wait about five minutes for a table, which I took as a good sign. Although I'm not a fan of the set-up of the entry and waiting area, I knew that the best part of the experience was to come. My expectations were exceeded. Our clean table was out of the direct sunlight, but still well lit. Heavy flatware was rolled into linen napkins, and our waiter, Tom, was prompt, friendly, and highly professional. We were served bread with marinara (a small, four-bite plate for both of us), which is always very good. It's like going into Nana's kitchen before everyone else is served. Perfect! Next came our drinks and "Puffy Bread," which is excellent and nearly to good to share. Each of us ordered entrees and chose the salad over the soups (which I've sampled before, but the day's heat pushed us to chilled salads). Very good dark mixed greens and a fine house vinaigrette. My grilled seafood trio over grilled vegetables with a light lemon sauce was truly very, very good. Expertly grilled thin fillets of salmon, grilled shrimp, and grilled scallops. Perfectly done... Not dry, not burnt, with tantalizing grill marks. How do they do that so well?!?! The other guest ordered Chicken & Shrimp Stephani (with tomatos, bacon, and asparagus tossed with penne). It, too, was very, very good. Tom's professional service was great, and complimented the great food and very nice dining area. Big thanks to the entire Carlucci's team for a consistently fine dining experience.

Great deals for lunches here! Right when I walked in, I think it was the manager but he was singing Italian songs and it was quite funny and I enjoyed it. The food is great and the service was great. I would definitely recommend coming here for a lunch and getting one of their lunch combo deals, there are so many choices!

Was in the area with my family and we decided to let yelp lead us to my new favorite place. The ambiance, the singing staff and the extraordinary cuisine will keep us coming back for years to come.

The owner is a neighbor of mine. He owns 5 or 6 restaurants and Carlucci's is a upscale Italian Restaurant and the food is fabulous. There is plenty of seating but like any restaurant on a major Holiday you get whatever seat you get. He owns Mama Mia Trattoria so if you really want great pizza it's around the mall and the place is beautiful.

This absolutely is my favorite Italian restaurant on the planet. While I have only been here about four times in the past year, I would eat here everyday if I could afford to do so. The main dining area on the right is spacious and even though it is a fairly decent amount of tables, it is laid out where not overly loud nor does it feel like you are sitting on top of others. Apparently, there is also seating on the opposite side of the restaurant I was told recently by family members who dined there. The last three times I have been here were after finding out I was gluten sensitive. I'm not really sure the exact precautions that are being taken but I have never once felt the least bit sick after eating here. The crab cakes are heaven bursting in your mouth. It is real crab as well, not Mrs Pauls mystery meat or playing Where's Waldo searching for crab amidst a million breadcrumbs. Succulent, delicious and flavorful. The other entree I have sampled is the veal mimosa. Tender, melting in your mouth, and perfectly sauced. Even though it is in a garlic & olive oil sauce, the amount of each is superb. Overkill on garlic can be a nightmare but this dish is more like a dream come true. There are definitely a few other great and unique things here. Vegetables can be had instead of pasta with any meal, great for the carb conscious or those that don't like pasta. The vegetables are melt in your mouth and are lightly drizzled with olive oil. I really don't even like vegetables, but these are perfection. They are very accommodating when it comes to food allergies, even telling me that if there was something not on the GF menu, that they could find out if it could be made that way. It is also very refreshing that every few months when I come here, there always seem to be several new items to try on the menu. It is really nice to not have a stagnant menu, especially at a place where the food is so good I wish I could bum rush the kitchen and try a bite of everything. The only thing a bit disappointing for me personally is the lack of a GF soup or salad dressing other than the oil and vinegar, but hey nobody is perfect and this hardly makes them any less in my eyes. Well 4.9999999 stars but if it went up even 0.00000001 I may never leave.

Had the pleasure of dining here for the first time this evening. Both my guest and I ordered from the 3 courses for $20.00 menu that is offered Monday-Wednesday. We were immediately greeted by our waiter and told about the specials of day. Two types of homemade bread were put on the table. A delicious flavorful tomato pie and a garlic olive oil pit looking type of bread that was incredible. Our food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had small pockets of stuffed pockets that were spot on with a blush sauce. My guest had the crab cake which had very little filer and perfectly grilled and spiced vegetables. These were supposed to be lunch portions but I was full enough that I had to take my dessert that was included to go. Overall the food and service were well above most in the area. The place was busy for a random Tuesday night and it's easy to see why.

Great Italian place near all hotels for sesame place. Good for kids too. Note: it's BYOB. We really enjoyed the personal kids' pizzas, eggplant parm and shrimp Caesar salad. Nice to start off w a "puff" of crusty dough w olive oil, garlic and herbs. That was a great start vs typical bread basket. Service was great and prices seemed right. We would definitely return here if we are in the area again.

I came here with my mom for lunch on a weekday expecting a standard pizza place, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is actually a pretty classy Italian restaurant with a lot of Italian flair--from time to time, we heard someone start singing from the back. They were busy, but we didn't have to wait for long (except at the end for the check). Our waiter was pleasant. The restaurant is pretty dimly lit, and is the kind of place you can go with a family or for a date. The lunch menu is pretty large. I ordered the chicken florentine sandwich and substituted the fries with mixed grilled veggies. (You can substitute pasta or potatoes with mixed grilled veggies for no extra cost, or substitute vegetables like spinach for a little extra. I found this a great option. They also have a lot of gluten-free options.) The sandwich came on a sort of pita wrap. It was huge, very filling (I ended up taking some home), and delicious. The bread was soft, cheesy, warm, and flavorful; the chicken was cooked well; and the spinach was sautéed with garlic. It became a fork-and-knife meal, which I didn't mind at all. The grilled vegetables were tender and really flavorful. My mom ordered a special; I don't remember which. But her chicken was also tender and delicious. I'd say her portion wasn't as filling (no carbs on her plate). She helped me with some of my bread, but would have been fine without. Overall, we had a nice experience. It was nowhere as expensive as I'd expected (my sandwich was less than $8, and my mom's meal was around $12 or $13). Also, the chocolate mints at the end of the meal were quite good. Carlucci's is definitely better than most pizza/Italian places in the area, and affordably so as well.

Enjoyed the dinner very much and had outstanding puffy bread. We weren't sure what to expect and felt it was the best Italian option in the area. And will return for more!

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area but I'm not a big fan of Italian food in general as they are heavy. Food is good but not excellent. I loved my soup but my main entree Chicken la Sal was not good. My boyfriend loved his seafood pasta dish though. The manager noticed my plate and offered to cook me another dish gratis but I didn't want anything else so he sent out a dessert on the house. Now that is customer service! I highly recommend this place. Price is right on for the quality you get. I'm a foodie so I'm hard to please so please do not be discouraged by my 4 stars. I think most ppl would love it here!!

Phenomenal food!!! Grilled chicken parm / pastas was outta this world! The Mrs had the eggplant & pasta and had nothing but praise for it and the portion was so large she couldn't finish it. Grilled chicken had that fresh off the grill smokey taste! We highly recommend to everyone !! Friendly staff, great looking place and atmosphere! A+!

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Every experience has been enjoyable. By far, my favorite Italian restaurant. Every dish I've had has been so delicious and fresh. They always serve 2 kinds of bread which just thrills me because I'm a breadaholic. The first kind of bread is thick and served with tomato sauce on top. The second kind of bread is thin, like a flatbread, with garlic and olive oil. I'm getting hungry just talking about it. You can't go wrong with any dish you order here. I've been here a bunch of times and I try to order different things. They are always tasty and exceed my expectations. My absolute favorite thing I ordered was a special they had that night which I haven't been lucky enough to have a 2nd time. It was crab, shrimp, and lobster rolled in a pasta shell and served with a mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the most fantastic meals I've ever had. If the owner or an employee is reading this, please send me a message and tell me when you will have that dish again! :) I also need to mention the seafood bisque soup which is one of the best I've ever had. The problem is that this place has completely spoiled me! Anytime I order a pasta dish elsewhere, I am forever comparing it to the magic of Carlucci's!

No kidding this place is exceptional. When first looking into it I found that it is one of six restaurants with the same name but don't let the small chain fool you this was outstanding. My wife is a vegetarian with allergies to dairy and there is trouble finding food in some places. It was not the case here. We started with the bread (soft bread with marinara which was really good and puffy bread brought out hot with olive oil to taste it is knock your socks off good). Next we got the seafood sampler, clams, calamari, crab cake, mussels, shrimp - it is nothing to laugh at and the flavors are amazing. The crab cake alone was so good it prompted my wife to order the crab cake entree. I ordered the Santa Lucia (grilled chicken over broccoli rabe, sun-dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes on a bed of farfalle all smothered in smoked mozzarella. It was very good but the highlight of this meal was my wife's crab cakes. There is a reason they are a signature dish. Lump crab meat, which they heap on, and roughly the size of a baseball. Now imagine two on your plate. "To go box please!" Also ordered soup with the meal. My wife got pasta fagioli and loved every bit of it. I got the seafood bisque and haven't tasted bisque that good since being in Maine several years ago. Creamy flavorful and just plain Incredible! Desserts were nothing amazing, the typical desserts that are ordered from a large manufacturer. Actually the same menu I have seen in other establishments which was a bummer. Overall amazing experience, real Italian wait staff make the experience fun and immerse you in the atmosphere. Check it out for some great food and then hit an ice cream bar nearby.

Had a great lunch today. Crab cakes are sensational! One large crab cake comes with salad & angel hair pasta. One person has severe food allergies & Carlucci's is extremely adept at dealing with gluten free and other food issues. She had the pizza and loved it. Great service & a truly lovely place for lunch.

Have to say it was a big let down eating here tonight. After all the great reviews my wife and I decided to give it a shot around 5:30pm. When we arrived there was no line or waiting list and they immediately sat us. The first problem was that they sat us in a spot that was not warm at all. Our seats were not in line of sight or even that close to the front door but it was close enough that every time someone opened the doors there was a blast of cold air. Then we were told two different times who our waiter would be before he ever showed up. He didn't tell us what the specials of the day were and he took our order as quickly as possible and dashed off. The bruschetta was delicious but not nearly as tasty as the "puffed bread" that came drizzled with oil and fresh garlic. This was the highlight of our dinner - unfortunately. We ordered the mussels in white garlic appetizer and received our salads prior to getting them. The mussels were mushy and sandy and the sauce was too thick to be enjoyable. If you want really great mussels then spend an extra 10 minute drive and head over to De Lorenzo's. Unfortunately De Lorenzo's only serves them as an entree with pasta though. My main dish was the Fettuccine al Ragu Bolognese which was far too salty. Seriously - cut down on the salt! I could only eat about 1/3 of my dinner before it became too much. My wife had the Soup and Caprese Salad. She was only able to eat about 1/3 of it too - although she said her meal was "good". Overall I honestly can't give Carlucci's Grill any higher of a rating than 3 stars and probably will not eat there again any time soon.

This is the mother restaurant of mama Mia's in Oxford valley mall and it's every bit as good! They give you free Italian puffy bread with oil when you sit down and their food is delicious. The decor will be ready for an update soon, but I really like the Christmas lights they have in various spots throughout!

Beyond excellent! While visiting sesame Place, I stumbled upon this restaurant while passing by on my way to a local pharmacy. I checked with the concierge at my hotel who recommended it highly. She was 100% right. We are usually fussy about Italian restaurants since we are first generation (Italian)Americans. However, this restaurant was beyond authentic! We loved the pizzette from the wood-fired oven. The selection was unbelievable. The pizza Quattro stagioni was amazing, and plentiful. The calamari were tender and fresh, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. My husband had the seafood bisque and it was delicious. The veal was tender and delicately seasoned without being overly sauced or dressed. My children enjoyed their pizza and mozzarella sticks, too! We hardly waited for a table, and the service was so quick, helpful and friendly. Our server went above and beyond to help ensure that our children were comfortable and well taken care of. We highly recommend this restaurant for the food quality, the atmosphere, service and the price. We will definitely be back next time we are near Philly!

This is one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. The service is really what set's this particular restaurant apart from its competitors. Italian restaurants usually have wonderful service in the first place, but the staff at Carlucci's really makes you feel like a visiting family member that they haven't seen in years. When I left this restaurant I was stuffed, sleepy, and slightly larger. The food was better than the Italian food I cook at home, which is hard for me to say as a shameless self-promoter. The lunch prices are well below the prices at similar tiered Italian restaurants. Meal Breakdown: Bread- Carlucci's has one of the most interesting bread I've ever tried. Tiny pieces of garlic are baked into the decadently delicious bread, and it comes with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. So Good!!! Appetizer- Mozzarella sticks were just ok. Standard pub style mozzarella sticks. Entrees- Chicken Parmesan- Wonderful example of how chicken parmesan should be done. The chicken was a thick juicy cutlet, covered in hot and bubbling provolone cheese, drizzled with delicious marinara on a bed of Al-Dente linguine. It was simply spectacular. Trio Seafood Verdure- My date ordered this dish. She was very impressed by it. I can't really comment on the taste, but it was plated perfectly. Romantic relationships may rush into your life in a rush of joy and ecstasy, only to leave scars behind when they end, and we will all suffer the decay of old age that precedes our final destination; so good food that can be enjoyed in the moment with family and friends in an atmosphere like this, truly makes life magical.

We tried this place for dinner tonight. Ordered Caesar salads, mozzarella sticks, Chicken Stephanie (chicken& shrimp with penne pasta in a vodka sauce) and penne marinara with meatballs. The salad was good, the fried mozzarella was great and the food was pretty good. Loads of garlic flavor which I love. Our server was really on the ball and nice. I'd definitely come here again. As we were leaving, we noticed the table next to us having chicken parmigiana . It looked fantastic, already know what I'm eating next time.

Such an amazing place!!! Came here for my cousins bday and they picked an awesome place. Staff is great and the food is even better. The owner/manager (not sure who he was) was absolutely wonderful and hilarious. He was so accomadating. Anything we wanted and had the ingredients for, he would make, even if it wasn't on the menu. The staff also came out and sung happy birthday and they had such strong amazing voices. :-) My sister ordered mushroom gnocci (not on menu) and it was delicious! Stuffed mushrooms, salads, pastas, salmon, steak, etc etc (I tried basically the entire menu bc we went with a large group) was perfect. My husband did ask his steak to be oscar style (which is crab meat with a hollandaise sauce), but they did crab meat and shrimp with a gravy. Not oscar style, but it was still really good. They definately tried their best...I have to give them bonus points for that. Another plus...it's a byob restaurant. No spending crazy money on alcohol here. I love that I can go enjoy a great meal without paying for overpriced liquor. This place does everything correct. Thanks!!

This place is great. Amazing staff and food. I wasn't expecting it to be this nice, but it exceeded my expectation. The food was fresh, the sauces were made fresh and you can tell. No canned stuff here. The flat bread is amazing!! Will definitely be going back!

Food was tasty. A slight step above their original Villa Rosa down the street. The host was a little annoying randomly breaking out into loud singing. Either sing the whole song or not at all, three words does not a singer make you.

Maybe I'm picky because I'm a "North Jersey Italian" (I.e see Sopranos). I rarely ever like (Americanized) Italian food out. With your dinner I think you get soup or salad, I typical get the salad, with Balsamic Dressing. It's good, but a little too tart. Then you get some bread to dip in sauce (or gravy if you call it that). There is something about their tomato sauces and things I just don't like. I don't know what it is... but I don't like them. The pasta dish I ordered was from the specials (every time I've been there). It's good. Better than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill, but not the best Italian food I've ever had. (Again I'm super picky about Italian food). Inside is cramped but very nice. They also moved when I asked to be moved because a table with kids was next to use and being very loud. (A VERY common occurrence in Yardley due to Sesame Place being RIGHT THERE). 3.5 Stars.

I've never had a bad meal at Carlucci's. The portions are large, and they can accommodate my kid's with things they like. You get a complementary bread with red sauce, and shortly afterward a flatbread. Both are very tasty. Somewhat salty, but very good. The house made dressing for the salad is unreal. The Italian dishes are done quite well, and the steaks and seafoods are also good to go. Service has not been an issue at all.

My brother and sister raved about this Italian eatery. So we took our mother today for her 82nd birthday. The staff were very professional and polite. The food is excellent. We ordered the seafood sampler and the misto Italiano for the table. My father loved the clams and mussels. The calamari which was lightly battered was perfect. I had the Veal Sapotito which was so delicious. The prices are surprising low for the portion size and quality of the food. Our mother who had a stroke earlier in the year used her walker. The only complaint I have is the establishment isn't the most handicap friendly place in the world. Saying that, Carlucci's has excellent food at very reasonable prices and great service.

Always amazing! I've never had a bad meal here. The owner knows how to treat his regulars right. He's always friendly and giving. My mom and I always get the same thing, crab cakes. I like it the way it's described on the menu; my mom substitutes the side of pasta for vegetables. The do this every time no problem. The antipasto and cannolis are very tasty. Other favorites are the fried calamari and the garlic and oil bread. Another thing our family loves is when the owner gets on his megaphone and talks to his customers. This place is definetly worth the try! You'll love it!

We love Carlucci's!! By far, our favorite local Italian restaurant. I come from a huge Italian family and I can be overly critical of Italian food, but this place is the real deal. I've probably had everything on the menu at this point, and it's all incredible. My favorite "go to" dish is the Calamarata. Good portion sizes too! Between the 2 breads and salad they give you before the meal, I always have something to take home for lunch the next day, which is excellent. The best part is the staff and ambiance. The waiters are all very friendly and always accommodating. We love the manager! (Maybe he's the owner, still not sure) He is a real character and loves to sing Italian opera style for birthdays and just at random. My husband loves to play it back to him. so whenever are there they exchange a "HELLOOOO HOW ARE YOOOOOUU?" as we arrive and a "THAAANKA YOOOOU GOOOD NIIIIGHT!" as we leave. If you've been there you are smiling right now and if you haven't been there yet you will smile when you hear it. :) This is a place that loves their customers and knows how to treat them. Can't beat it in my book! *BYOB, so remember to bring your favorite bottle!

Excellent! Great value for your money and one of the best cannoli's i've ever had! Pasta was cooked wonderfully, sauces were satisfying and flavorful yet not heavy or overly creamy. highly recommend the linguini with pesto, shrimp, and veggies (although it might have been a daily special, can't remember). I also really enjoyed their eggplant rollatini and the beggar's purse with vodka sauce. Huge menu, loads of choices, great prices, and the complimentary bread with tomato sauce was a nice touch

I had absolutely no complaints.... great service and great food. BYOB...what more could you want? I had pasta pockets stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella in vodka sauce and it was to die for. The bread was awesome. I loved everything. It was my sisters birthday and we didn't ask them to sing but they came and sang and delivered two complimentary desserts to the table anyways. It was great.

I had to take off one star due to a bad customer service incident that happened years ago...with that said, it is still my favorite Italian restaurant. From the starter of the bread with the delicious sauce (automatically included for free), then to the seafood bisque, then an order of pappardelle with vodka sauce and crab meat- the food is perfect every time. It's BYOB which is an added bonus.

Great, local spot! When we drove up there were many people waiting outside (good sign, right?) so we decided to wait for a spot. The decor inside is a mix of rustic & contemporary... I believe there were 3 birthdays and an engagement party going on at the same time, and they advertised that they can seat up to 80 people for special events. Loved: Service (very friendly & upbeat staff), their garlic bread (they bring this as well as squares of bread with tomato sauce- all complimentary), that our waiter said "two glasses and two waters?" automatically upon seeing our bottle of wine-- and also knowing that every restaurant should give water without the customer having to ask. Only suggestion for improvement: there are not many traditional pasta dishes. While the food is great and tastes wonderful, I know that if I brought my old-school Italian father in, he'd be searching for spaghetti & meatballs or for penne a la vodka or baked ziti. Many of the pasta dishes have a lot of seafood or other embellishments, which some people like, but for those of us who like more toned-down plates, it's something to consider. I will definitely be back and would like to try the pizza. The baked ravioli I had was delicious. ps: fantastic dessert selection!

My fiancé and I love to dine at Carlucci's. We usually go M-W when they have a special of a $19.95 selected three course meal. I always get the Borsellini Alla Vodka which is fabulous as well as their creme brûlée! This last time we went on a Saturday with the whole family for my birthday. There was about 8 of us. The wait staff had to make room for another table so they asked us if we don't mind scooting the tables down a few inches. We just leaned back while they did the work. Just for "inconveniencing" us (we really did not mind at all!) with the tables, they gave us each a free cannoli for dessert!! It was the first time my family members had been to Carluccis and they all raved about how delicious their meals were. They start you off with bread with sauce on top for the table, your soup (I love the Pasta E Fagioli) or salad that comes with most entrees also comes with a puffy bread with garlic and the entrees are pretty big portions. The staff is very friendly and at tentative. Definitely give this restaurant a try!

I have been here with my children and without them while on a date. Both experiences, the food was very nice, as well as the service. I especially enjoyed bringing my children with me as the staff treated them like young adults and were attentive to even them. During that time, the restaurant was pleasantly busy with every table filled with happy talkative people. I loved it! When I came with a date, on a weekday, it was quiet and very calm, which was welcomed as well. The Caprese salad was fresh and tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Florentine. It was full of flavor, vegetables (always a bonus for me!) and tender. I am a huge lobster bisque fan, so I figured I would try their seafood bisque, but I did not entirely enjoy it as I would have preferred it a bit thicker and more flavorful. It's a BYOB, so bring your fav! Enjoy! We will all be back there again. OH, desserts were wonderful. Try the Creme Brulee.

Great portion size of the tasty entrees. This BYOB in a strip mall near Kohl's offers quick seating and a polite and attentive staff. (Wine and Spirits is located in the same shopping center so that's super convenient). I tried a few chicken/pasta dishes and the sauce is so good. They give all tables some warm bread with a red sauce as well as a garlic loaf to share with the table. SO SO much food.

Visiting form out of town and found this place through research on yelp. High reviews and high number of reviews. Food was truly average at best. Soup tasted as if from a can. Grilled vegetables were done well. For the $$ was seriously not impressed. 2 kids with three adults, just under $200 no alcohol as they do not serve. I have typically used yelp with great success in finding places to eat in new cities. I guess with the 4 1/2 stars and the 81 reviews I expected more, I guess.

Fantastic! My son devoured the side of meat balls floating in delicious red sauce. My husband's chicken parm entree was a bit heavy in breading but very good. I kept it simple with penne with red sauce but the portion was generous and the sauce was flavorable. The salads were large and contained a variety of lettuces with a succulant roasted garlic balsamic vinaigrette. We added a side of garlic knots nicely seasoned with butter and garlic served with a side of red sauce. Overall a fabulous meal. We would return tomorrow if we lived in the area.

My husband and I ate at Carlucci's last evening for a date night out together. We ordered the Seafood Sampler appetizer, the filet mignon with shrimp, and a chicken dish special served with a lemon sauce and shrimp over a bed of spinach. Last evening my husband became violently ill after eating the mussels that were a part of the seafood appetizer. We are pretty sure it is the mussles that made hime sick, as I myself did not eat them, and I was not ill. As locals living in the Yardley area, we have eaten at Carlucci's on numerous occasions. I must say it is hit-or-miss. On most visits you will get an above-average Italian meal with great service, but on some visits the food is nothing to rave about. The place is always packed on the weekends, so I guess they are doing something right? I just wish it was more consistent.

My boyfriend and I love this restaurant. The food is fantastic, the staff is super nice and attentive, and did I mention that the food is amazing?! Chicken parm is to die for and there are enough dishes that you never get bored. Usually a huge menu is a huge problem because things are inconsistent or not made well. Not at Carlucci's. Every time that we have visited, they have surpassed our expectations. The food tastes fresh, has good flavor, and doesn't take long to come out. We love Carlucci's! :)

Went for lunch after a business meeting and the service and food were superb. Quick service, customized dish for the special diet person with us, and great food all around. I had the raviolis with spinach. Everything at the table looked great. But what really made it special was the super attentive service to match the food.

Why there was no wait for Carlucci's on a Friday night but the wait for the nearby Olive Garden was probably two hours long is beyond me. Yes, it's more expensive, but honestly only by a few bucks a dish. Carlucci's Grill is a good example of local Italian done right. Portions are ample (a meal for 2 yielded enough leftovers for 2 lunches) and the complimentary bread is great. As soon as you sit they serve foccacia with tomato sauce, and after you you order they place a wood fired flatbread on your table. Both are good but the flatbread was ethereal. I don't like that a different waiter does each job as it makes people hard to flag down, but it leads to efficient service. My pasta e fagioli soup needed a bit more spicing and seasoning, but it wasn't bad. The pizza gets an A for effort in executing the Neopolitan style but its taste was more of a B-. The toppings, sauce, and cheese (make sure to get fresh buffalo mozz) were as they should be (read: fresh) but the crust lacked the crisp-puffiness associated with great wood-fired pizza and had a soggy middle. Anyone with a reasonable appetite shouldn't be able to eat more than half. Similarly, my Gnocchi a la Carlucci was dinosaur-like in portion. The sauce was flavorful and clearly made with care, but erred on the rich side and could've used less cream with more of everything else. The gnocchi had good flavor but were heavy and a bit gummy. Of course, my criticisms are somewhat nitpicky. Carlucci's makes a sincere effort to execute their food well and provide a charming dining atmosphere. This in itself is commendable, and it's worth making a trip to the place if you're craving Italian.

I'm surprised that I haven't reviewed Carlucci's before as I've been coming here for about a decade. This place is easily the best Italian restaurant in the Levittown/Langhorne area. While I usually order one of their seafood entrees, their appetizers are fantastic. My wife and I have spent a Sunday afternoon here just sharing appetizers as a meal. The misto italiano is a must order. This might be one of my favorite things to order from any restaurant ever. Their soups are also really good, oh and the bread provided to each table is amazing as well. Also, I must say that one of the best things about Carlucci's is the service. It's also BYO and there is a liquor store in the same shopping center.

"Good local Italian" I would not consider this a destination place like some of the restaurants in Philly but for locals its not bad at all. Their food could be brought up a couple notches but if you are looking for a place with good atmosphere and white table cloths, this is it locally. General American-Italian favorites. Nice place for a celebration, birthday party, etc. Easy place to come and eat and leave satiated. Not mind blowing or a foodie type place.

I love going to Carlucci's for lunch or dinner or just getting take-out! If you are really hungry, this is the place to go! They have great service (great place to go for a business lunch) and delicious food. Upon sitting, you immediately get bread with sauce on it (which is one of my favorites). The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it can get very loud during dinner time. Other than that the restaurant is very clean, great customer service, and yummy food! Plus, it's a BYOB which I love to bring our own bottle of wine. (Wine & Spirits is located in the same shopping center). Be sure to make a reservation Thurs-Sat night!

To start we received a complimentary serving of what I believe was a foccacia topped with a simple tomato sauce. We also received puffed flat bread drizzled in olive oil and dusted with Parmesan cheese. Both were excellent. I had the crab cakes with mixed grilled vegetables (pasta can be subbed for vegetables for free). The crab cakes had large lump meat was topped with a lemon butter sauce. One of the better crab cakes I've had. The vegetables were also well done in olive oil, salt, and rosemary. My daughter had the kids menu ravioli. Not anything special - four ravioli with a small cup of tomato sauce. I had a taste and they weren't very good. They tasted like they were probably store-bought frozen ravioli. My wife had the veal mimosa, which was good but a bit too sour. They were extremely busy (we went Sunday evening). The wait was a little long but not so bad because we had the bread, salad/soups to keep us busy. The waiter was pleasant enough but didn't stop by as much as he could have. It took a while to get him to take our order and refills also took some time. Overall, a nice dining experience. Definitely, one of the better restaurants in the area. However, not a fantastic experience. The cooking and service could use improvement.

I went to dinner on Wed. with my friend and we had an excellent meal. They have a 3 course meal special Mon-Wed. for $19.99. We both had the mango salad, crab cake, and dessert. While the portions were small the meal was delicious. I am looking forward to returning!

THANK YOU YELP!!! My going to Carlucci's strictly due to looking up Italian restaurants on the way to Parx casino. My wife wanted to go for Italian for her birthday on our way to the Parx casino and I said let me look up on yelp and see what is out there. I have to admit that when Carlucci's Grill first came up I said no as it they have a few locations and I want real italian not a chain (I was wrong). My wife insisted on going. Needless to say this place was FANTASTIC!!! it is a BYOB place and was really busy. Our meal was to die for. We split an appetizer sharing the Calucci sampler which was mozzerella sticks, fried artichokes, antipasto, bruschetta (all great). They also gave us wonderful bread. I had the seafood bisque which was delicious and my wife had a salad. For dinner I had the eggplant stuffed with crab with a mushroom cream sauce...OMG it was GREAT and my wife had her usual eggplant parm which she raved about. Our waiter named Sal was hands down the best waiter i have ever had anywhere. If you get a chance I HIGHLY recomend going to Carlucci's grill. You will not be disappointed.

    The Italian men in their black shirts and tight black pants, dark hair, bright white smiles and oh the accents, I find myself staring as they first approach the table for drinks, no wine, no cocktails, it is BYOB, who cares as another beautiful Italian slips me a plate full of complimentary tomato topped Bruschetta. Benvenuto darling. They continue to dance by, did I say dance? I meant prance towards your table offering you constant free refills on what they offer for most drinks. I have already had several visual appetizers, but I needed to eat. Hubby and I both love clams casino, so we each ordered six. They were very good, mine are better, but not served with the same tight black attire and I am still smiling. Each of our meals came with a choice of soup or salad. They always offer the Pasta E Fagioli or a soup of the day or a house salad. I opted for a small Caesar, no charge and hubby had the house salad. The salads were okay and they do offer anchovies for those who love them as much as I do. The next time we will both try the soups, as we found the dressings too bitter and bland. The menu is so extensive from appetizers and three pages of entrees and specials to sandwiches. They also serve a nice variety of homemade pizzas. They have several restaurants and this happens to be in a shopping center. The minute that you walk inside, you feel that you are in a full service restaurant, other than the bar being missing, but all of the Italians make you forget about that! They offer an Express Carlucci's at the other end of this strip mall. For our entrees hubby had the Lobster Ravioli with lump crab meat and shrimps in a vodka sauce. It was a large plate of 5 homemade raviolis with tomatoes and lots of jumbo lump crabmeat and whole shrimps.. I was so torn and I could go back here to try each and every one of them! Oh food, yes, I chose the jumbo lump crab cake with the garlic aioli angel hair and I am still in heaven. The crab cake was pure lump crab meat and the size of a softball!. Excellent! They have a wonderful dessert menu and they offer espresso We turned them down, yes we did! Enough was enough! No desserts for us! Just bring us the last course, which is the bill for this great entertainment, I mean food. After all I have already had my dessert . Decor? I have already explained that. It is wonderful and I do mean beautiful ;+}

BRING YOUR OWN WINE. Just wanted to get that off my chest first. The first time colleagues and I came to Carlucci's we made the mistake of sitting and ordering before realizing they didn't have a liquor license. (Hey...red wine is half the reason I eat Italian food!) The next time we came we went to the SuperFresh Market around the corner first so we could bring our own. That worked out well. Otherwise the place is great. Delicious food. Great menu. Warm setting. Friendly staff. Excellent and very professional service. Prices are a bit on the high side, but both my meals here have been very enjoyable, even the one without wine.

Where to start!? I have been dinning here since I was in high school and the food has always been great! Some of the staff members are straight off the boat from Italy and they treat you like you are part of their big family. The one waiter, whose name escapes me at the moment, remembers me every time I come in. Even when I haven't been there in months. He also remembers what my favorite dish is. Not to mention he ends up singing in Italian while working and is quite the character. This adds to the charm of this gem. They give you bread with a nice chunky garlicky red sauce on top which is rather addicting. I love to save a piece for when my salad comes. I recommend their house balsamic vinaigrette. Again it is addicting, for me at least. All of the dishes are cooked to perfection and served to you fresh. Nothing tastes pre-cooked or frozen. They give you great portions and depending on how hungry you are, you may have the next days lunch to bring home with you. It is a BYOB, but there is a Wine & Spirits shop within the strip mall in case you didn't bring anything in from home. They will gladly uncork your wine bottle for you without charge. It is located in a strip mall right next to the Kohl's. Don't let the outside and the fact that it is located in a strip mall turn you away from the amazing food and kind staff that awaits you inside. This used to be a word of mouth kind of place when they first opened. Now it gets rather crowded at the typical dinning times. I have yet to find a dish I don't like and a server who wasn't kind at Carlucci's. (side note: just don't go to the Carlucci's Take Out which is located at the other end of the strip mall -- the food is NOT of the same quality)

This restaurant serves very good Italian food. You know you're on the right track when you walk in and overhear the hostess and wait staff speaking Italian. It seems ideal for large groups, families with kids, or even a date night. We ordered one of the pasta dishes with meatballs along with a chicken/crab meat entree. Both were very large portions and very tasty. When the check came, we were pleasantly surprised by the bargain given the amount of food we ate (and packed up in boxes to take with us). If you're spending the day at Sesame Place and would like a nice meal after eating the standard amusement park junk, I highly recommend Carlucci's.

took a while to get our food tonight and as i debated writing this review i realized that this is exactly why we loved our meal- because it was made to order, from scratch with real ingredients. incredible grilled veggies, sautéed broccoli. perfect for kids pasta and sauce withe meatballs and they ate every bite. best penne vodka ever. and 2 ridiculously good gluten free chicken dishes: parmesan and florentine. the chicken rice soup was tasty, the bread was copies, the salad dressing was tangy and fresh. no complaints. hands down best last minute, takeout with the kids, ever. and... we have lots of leftovers for tomorrow!

We took our family here on a Friday night around 5:30. We were seated quickly. I found the restaurant to be a bit loud, as well as our waiter. He was very friendly and very well informed about gf dining. His wife has celiac he informed us. We ordered a gf pizza for the kids, myself the salmon dish and my husband had the gf pasta with vodka sauce. The gf pasta was good, not great. The vodka sauce was delicious. The gf pizza was great and cooked in a dedicated oven, which is a big plus. My salmon was just awful as it smelled super fishy and so I asked him to take it back. He agreed that it was bad and offered to make me a salad, which he did. Overall the experience was okay, the kids did enjoy the pizza and I am confident that they get gf (no cross contamination in the kitchen).

This place really is as good as it gets!! Ok, so this was my first experience with BYOB - yes, you bring in your own beer/wine/whatever. Apparently it is a philly thing where restaurants can offer that. So after I got over the awkward feeling of walking in with a bottle, ok two bottles, of wine in a brown paper bag - it was a really great time. The food is awesome, the waitstaff is fun and randomly yells and sings - which makes it for a cool environment. I got the grab cakes, and they were seriously as good as Maryland's best crab cakes, hands down. Oh yeah, they were half the cost too!

This place is consistently good. Had the linguine con vognole just the other day. Delish! Another hint, there is a PA wine and spirits shop in the same mall. So grab a bottle of vino for this BYOB gem.

I went here with my pregnant wife and my mother. We ordered three lunches and opted for the soup with our entrees. My soup had a hair in it, so I had to send it back. My wife ordered Salmon Aromatico. The salmon had a strange, mushy texture. She became very ill after leaving the restaurant until the entire meal passed through her. I am, of course, very concerned about any ill effects the bad food could of had on the pregnancy. That aside, my mother and I ordered different lunch specials--mine was a pasta dish with shrimp and sauteed zucchini and eggplant, my mother ordered a seafood cannelloni dish. Our dishes were visually unappealing and tasted even worse. I even felt a little nauseous after lunch. Do not go to this restaurant. The food was tasteless and poorly prepared, and worse, dangerous.

I love this restaurant. Everything is really yummy, albeit gigantic. The garlic puffy bread that they bring out is one of my favorite things to eat in general. We have had many different meals and have never been disappointed. We have always received great service, and the servers are super nice to the kiddos, making it a great family joint. Just go - I can't imagine anyone not liking this place.

Went to Carlucci's with a tired party of 4 who'd just tromped all over Philly. There was quite a wait so my sister who's a local sent me over to the liquor store for a bottle of wine. I think PA has almost as restrictive liquor laws as Utah! Finally got a table and everything was great. Our waiter's name (I think) was Domenic and he was wonderful My daughter, who is disabled, has some odd dining requirement. Domenic was more than accomodating, giving her a child's portion, throwing in a salad for her so she wouldn't be left out. The food was good, not exceptional but the service was great and a super value for the money.

I have to say first that James H.'s review (below) is probably of the Carlucci's EXPRESS... which is NOT the restaurant. It is a takeout place that has seating if you want to eat there. Please don't skip this restaurant because of that! I grew up in Yardley and this was always my family's go-to place for a weekend restaurant outing, or to bring visitors. I always used to joke with my dad that it was the only restaurant he wanted to eat at - mainly because it was! Now I live in Center City, but have a fond place in my heart for Carlucci's and the family memories I have there. And even if you don't have family memories, you'll feel the same warmth here from the staff and from the setting. Everyone is friendly and as others have said, international. And they like to talk. The food is great as well, lots of variety on the menu and a good mix of traditional italian stuff but also original combinations. Every time I've eaten there it's been consistently good. The free bruschetta you start with is also to die for. The bread is very doughy and the topping is sweet yet tomatoey. Oh my... I didn't think writing this would give me such childhood nostalgia, but it has. It has also made me very hungry.

Meh. Went here based on other yelp reviews and convenient location. Service was very friendly. Food was just ok- mine cane out lukewarm, and the salmon in the dish was very fishy and the shrimp a bit mushy, as if it was not at all fresh. the sauces were somewhat greasy, despite a description that would not lead one to believe that they were supposed to have oil or fat. Very pleasant, accommodating server and decent ambiance made it ok, but we won't be going back based on the food.

Thumbs-up for a decent meal and service on a blustery fall evening. Considering that it was Halloween AND the Phillies' World Series game was underway, we were surprised to see anyone in the joint, but they were open as advertised at 930 on a Saturday night, and they received us warmly. Let's get square about one thing: This is most def not a five-star joint. I suspect that the five-star-givers who are locals WANT to like this place to the max, given the dearth of decent eateries within five miles, and there is clearly some emotional attachment to the place. And the staff are effusive and friendly, but when you start to break it down ... Our waiter was a dude from a neighboring town who talked about his plans for later that night (which involved booze, cars, and women--presumably all fast), The wine glasses were small, thick, and warm -- straight from the party rental store via the dishwasher. The "signature" bread was adequate -- kinda spongy, kinda salty -- and the olive oil was bland. Dinner salads were marked by a distinct COLD. I don't know where the sweet spot for iceberg lettuce is in the walk-in, but we were shivering after the first bite. The under-ripe golf-ball-size cherry tomato reminded us that it takes WORK to get great produce up north in the colder months. Props to the cooks for the tasty, satisfying spaghetti bolognese. And we enjoyed the Atlantic salmon stuffed with crab meat (what is it about Bucks County and this abundance of delicious crab?!) -- light, ethereal one might say. Dessert was proffered on a 4-color table tent, so we steered clear. Ripoff alert: The kids menu. We had a 10-year-old in tow who had no idea how fleeced we felt shelling out $8 for her plate of linguini with butter and cheese. Bringing kids? Order them a $12 small pizza, which the manager said is what the joint is famous for. BYOB, BTW: Apparently, this is a dry town (lots of Quakers in these parts), so the BYOB is a no-fault no-brainer. Savings mount, because you buy your wine at the state-run liquor board (which has major purchasing power and passes the savings on to customers. We spent $22 on a decent Sonoma County Zin that I've never seen retail anywhere in California for less than $35.) Bottom line: If you are in Yardley, it's the go-to joint. Otherwise, you're headed to Applebee's. ** ** EDIT: The Google map is wrong. Carlucci's Grill is in the mall. Do NOT turn away from the mall. The road gets darker and darker, and the marsh grasses taller and taller. We thought we'd never get unlost from that swamp.

AWWw Carlucci's I'm sad to write this .You are such nice, friendly people.. Not so good my last visit . Since when is chicken parm sandwich not breaded and fried? What we got was a grilled piece of chicken with a bit of chunky tom.sauce and a skimpy amount of mozzarella. My Italian grinder was very cheap on the meat and over toasted and dry.The fries were hard and I wonder if they were dropped fresh because they were not very hot and very tough. I hope this was just an off day.We will give you another chance but come on raise the prices and give better food.

I was in town on business and dressed in business casual with a sport coat. I arrived just before a party of four or so. It was past the dinner rush and there were a number of open tables. The manager came over and took the party of four or so ahead of me and then proceeded to take their drink orders leaving me standing in the entryway. I have never before been treated with such rudeness or disrespect in a restaurant. I left after letting the manager know what I thought of him. The food may be good, but the service, at least by the manager, is terrible.

I was warned that this place is BYOB. A rarity I'd thought, but I guess it's since I'm from CA. I remember experiencing this in a few other states. But since this restaurant is in a shopping center with a grocery store with wine/beer/liquor, it's not that big a deal. I kind of wondered though if you bring your own, can they legally card you? I mean, you came in with the alcohol, you know? So when I drove by this place initially I thought it would be a cheesy heavy, super-Americanized place. When I walked in and saw the decor and fake plants, I continued to think it would be that way. When I saw the menu, I thought there COULD be a chance it'd be a bit better. The appetizer pizza bread - eh, kind of cheesy. But my Pasta E Fagioli was OK. Too beany for me; not an equal balance of pasta or broth. Almost all beans, and they were still hard. Not cooked enough. The puffed up pizza bread was tasty and unique. Served in olive oil, hollow, and topped with parmesan. That could get addicting. There were a lot of interesting sounding choices for main entrees. Too many for my party to decide from. But definitely unique and not your average menu. A little more inventive and not the typical "Spaghetti with Meatballs" type of thing at all. I had the Pasta Fantasia with Chicken instead of Shrimp. It had a light marinara, fresh papardelle, arugula, and sundried tomatoes. It was light and good. The other dishes my colleagues ordered were well received. Huge portions. They have a surprising amount of seafood dishes. I debated getting one, but since I'd had salmon the night before, I passed. My coworker got a dish that was topped in crab meat and some sort of a hollandaise sauce. It looked super heavy. But she said it was good. We stopped eating when we saw the dessert menu. I was also impressed with the selection. No boring stuff. They had a Limone dessert. Looked like a hollowed out lemon with lemon sorbet. Tempting! But then I saw an item I almost never see in the States! What they called a "Chocolate Truffle" but when I knew as a Tartufo. Oh hell yah did I order that!!!! Can't get that in many places outside of Italia! It was sooooooooooooo good. Heavily powdered with cocoa powder and served on a small white dish with a creme anglaise sauce with chocolate sauce swirls. Two others got the Tiramisu and liked it, and we got an almond dessert, which was gobbled up. The service was really good. We had a huge character of a waiter. He said he was French and had lived across the world. He said he knew no English when he first moved to the area and picked an Italian restaurant instead of a French one to work for since they were the only ones to hire him without having impeccable English. I thought that was a great story. And he said he'd been there for 10 years. He jokingly said "shoo" to the other staff when they helped him with drinks and delivering food. He was very entertaining. Cute spot, and surprisingly tasty food. Get the Tartufo! And try to sit at that server's table!

I threw my father a surprise birthday party here. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good and everyone enjoyed their meals. Also being a BYOB is great. I would definitely recommend Carlucci's for a party or dinner!

I love this place! They have a gluten free menu, which is a huge plus for my family. The atmosphere is very festive and family friendly. And the food is great: Very tasty and reasonably priced! Can't wait to go back.

Whenever i meet Nic for lunch, it seems always disastrous, so she says. And its usually my fault. I was really confused by the the whole ordering procedure. They have all of this dried out food for you to choose from, there, drying out under all of those heat lamps. They shove menus in your face ask repeatedly what do you want. This place seems to really cut corners by employing very nice, but difficult to understand Mexican imports and making you pour your own drinks. They don't offer you any silverware unless you ask. I had a cold sandwich which, for 6.99, could have come without the bologna (another corner-cutting measure). I was in the mood for Pizza, but it looked like it was sitting there all day, and cooked in a toaster oven. This place seems like they really know how to take family made food and give it a Fast-Food sort of feel. The prices are fair, but the taste of everything was average, perhaps below average. Televisions on every wall, showing mostly soapy-daytime talk shows. i won't be back, and i don't recommend it for anyone else. addendum: I would like to say, also, that i've been recently contacted by someone in effort to persuade me to edit this review. I stand by my statements as they are a recollection of my experience there. I find this type of lobbying contrary to the spirit of this website, which honest people give their honest opinion of their experience.

Been here a million times and only had one bad meal. Most recently tried the crabcakes. Delicious and full of meaty, fresh crab. New gluten free menu a plus. For a large menu with so many choices, it's always a good meal.

Wow! Carlucci's is exactly like one of those Italian places you see on The Sopranos, except without the risk of having your restaurant burnt down if you don't comply with Tony. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE ON A NO-CARB DIET. Very, very warm and inviting atmosphere and decor, and the food! Please, come here RAVENOUS. The portions are HUGE. They bring you: +Breadsticks in cubes, topped with hot marinara sauce +A round loaf of bread with garlic baked into it This was already more than enough for our party of four. In addition, I got the pasta e fagioli soup...very filling, enough to be a meal on its own, and very good and hot. It was around $6, so not expensive at all. I also got the mediterranean salad, which had calimari, shrimp, lobster, and vegetables, olives, and red pepper. It was literally the size of my head. Thank god I only got salad. This cost about $10. Fiancé got chicken parmigiana, which came with a house salad as well, around $15. The entrees are a bit more expensive, but you get a ridiculous amount of food. He said it was really good, but he had two chicken breasts and could not for the life of him finish them. Our friends both got fillet mignon and substituted vegetables for pasta, and also got huge plates. They were the ones that had recommended it to us in the first place, so we should thank them. The total check came to $100 with tip, which is too pricey in my opinion for only four people, but the food was terrific and plentiful. And our waiter was great!

Carlucci's is a BYOB first off, so if you plan on having a nice glass of wine with your Italian food, bring your own. They will supply the glasses for you, but you just need to bring the alcohol. When you walk into Carlucci's you feel like you have just entered a high class italian eatery. The owner is always there walking around, waiting tables, seating people, and he is always singing. He has a good voice and doesn't get annoying. When you are seated you are given a plate of bread cubes topped with marinara sauce that is unlimited. They will keep bringing you this bread as long as you order food too. The food is great. I feel that they have a very talented staff of chefs behind the scenes. Overall this place is a great for casual eating, and romantic dates. I extremely recommend it.

Fan-effing-tastic. BYOB (It's a pain to get a liquor license in Bucks County so I'm told). Excellent service, terrific food. So Italian, the owner parks his Alfa Romeo outside. Servers are cheerful and eager to please. Reasonable prices considering how good the food is and how rare it is compared to all the chain restaurants down the street on the other side of Route 1 and the Oxford Valley Mall. Don't be a rube and go to Olive Garden. Go here.

Oh yes, food is wonderful, service is wonderful. Seafood appetizer for 2 or 4 is the best. We often have it for our meal with a salad.

First of all, not much to choose from in this area. You have Chili's or Applebee's so this place rocks. The food is sooo yummy and the service, well world class east coast service, what can I say? No, really, the service is good. The only downfall ius that there's no BAR, hello? Really? A dry town??? You can bring your own wine, I might add that the majority of people brought white zin so this gives you an idea of the crowd.

Very good food, with excellent prices due to the BYOB. You'll never feel pressured by the wait staff to order liquor and boost the bill. It is definitely a nice change from the chain restaurants in and all around the Oxford Valley Mall area, without driving to Newtown, New Hope, or Princeton. There aren't any mind-blowing dishes, but it does make for a nice night out without having to take out a second mortgage. I'm always surprised that its a "strip mall restaurant", and I'm always happy that we have such a nice place so close to home. It may not be evident that the closest wine and spirits shop is inside the supermarket around the corner in the same plaza. If you approach the plaza from Route 1 (the Kohl's end), you may not even know about the supermarket, let alone the liquor store.

I love this place and all the people that work here - seriously! I remember how sweet they were to my grandmom and grandpop (we'd visit all the time). Since my grandpop passed in 2005 and grandmom passed in 2009, I haven't been back. However, I need to make an effort to. I always got the pollo reale - it was so incredibly delicious. Turns out I am pretty "religious" about my food as were my grandparents (grandmom always had the linguini and sausage, grandpop always had the scallops or fish and baked potato). Also, they serve pretty amazing bread and a tasty version of bruschetta.

Food is tasty but drenched in whatever sauce it comes with. Entrée examples: We had the shrimp & asparagus entrée in their Light & Healthy section of the menu. It was drenched in olive oil. I had a special of the day, a grilled chicken with mozzarella & spinach on capellini in a white wine sauce. What sounded like a healthy dish was really quite a number of calories with the buttery wine sauce. Even though they SOUND like they are trying for healthier options, their portioning of sauces make it probably LESS healthy than a classic tomato sauce. Portions are on the large side but we didn't have a great service experience with Angelino, our waiter. At least Angelino is what it said on our receipt, he never actually introduced himself. Once he came to our table I asked him about the kid's meals and if we could get veggies with them since there are NO veggie options (other than fries). He said we would need to order a side of broccoli or other veggie. After we perused the menu we see on the 2nd page it gives you the option to substitute your pasta or potato with grilled veggies or upgrade to another veggie for $2. When I ask him about this I couldn't quite understand his explanation but then said yes, we could do that for the kid's meal. Why didn't he say that in the beginning?! Overall he didn't smile at all and had an unpleasant demeanor. The host (owner? in a black chef outfit) wasn't very inviting either but I did some other friendly waiters so we might just have lost the crap shoot that day.

I think the review that says this is a mostly take-out place is talking about Carlucci's Express which is in the same strip mall. Carlucci's Grill is a sit-down restaurant BYOB. We love this place. The staff is experienced and known to be singing in Italian while working. The food is always hot and delicious. Don't forget your favorite bottle of wine to go along as they are in Yardley and it is a dry town. The ambiance is relaxing and doesn't feel like a strip mall restaurant once you get inside. We go here often for a relaxing and yummy italian fix!

Best Italian food in the area. My favorites are ravioli bellini (ravioli in a pink sauce with spinach) and the pollo santa lucia. My father also loves this restaurant and orders the seafood dishes, especially the linguini carnivale (linguini with many fruits of the sea). Also a plus at Carlucci's is the friendly service. It is BYOB, so bring a bottle of wine from home to compliment the delicious food.

Carlucci's is an Italian restaurant amidst a sea of chain restaurants. The people who work there are friendly, the service is good, and most importantly, the food is delicious. They have a large menu with rotating specials, you get 2 - count them -2 types of bread before your meal, and their desserts are good as well! (On a side note, you gotta try the Ravioli Bellini - its really good)

Mmm! I was really impressed with Carlucci's "Light and Fresh" section of the menu. I was in search of good Italian food that didn't include bread or pasta- and I found it. They have a variety of dishes that are served with julienned and grilled vegetables and/or potatoes in place of pasta... and it is so good!! Felt very fresh and light. Carlucci's should be commended for offering these options for people who don't always want carb filled lunches and dinners. Definitely will be back!

Hands down my favorite restaurant. Do not let the strip mall exterior fool you. If you go for dinner you will be given 2 breads (cubes w/ marinara and puff bread with garlic and cheese). If you are not a major seafood fan, you will never truly appreciate the care that this restaurant puts into the cooking. The seafood is what sets them at a higher standard. Recommendations: Cappellini Maradona, Crab Cakes, Seafood Cannaloni. All entrees come with a bowl of homemade soup(FABULOUS clam chowder on fridays) or garden salad. They also have a good selection of "light and fresh" entrees for those who are watching their diet. Regulars also know that the plastic dessert menus on the table are for tourists. Request the homemade cannoli, tiramisu, or bread pudding. I'm going tomorrow for their "Help Haiti" benefit and cannot wait!

We have eaten at Carlucci's several times over the years and have always been satisfied with our selections. Recently, we decided to have a baby shower there and it was great. We had a choice of two areas of the restaurant, which was sectioned off and was private. Aside from the appetizers, soup or salad, we had a choice of four entrees, which were all good. We also had beverages and dessert included. We brought our own wine (BYOB) and was immediately provided with wine glasses. Our waiter, who was French, was fantastic. In fact, one vegetarian guest didn't pay attention to his description of one dish and didn't realize that there was meat in it until she received it, so he quickly removed it and had another one made. He was very attentive, pleasant, and checked on us throughout the shower. Everyone was pleased with their food and the attention to detail. I checked a few other area restaurants and Carlucci's offered the best package. The attendees commented on how relaxed and fun the luncheon was. Carlucci's was a good choice.

Real italian place. You may need a translator to understand your waiter. Absolutely, positively, delicious! I had a cannelloni filled with seafood and cream sauce. My god! Awesome grilled veggie side. Two kinds of bread come with the dinner free. Wish I had more room, 'cause the deserts looked awesome too.

We have been going to carlucci's for many years now and this place never disappoints us. As soon as you sit down, the staff brings in the table bread with marinara sauce (yummy) and garlic bread. The service and food are excellent! They always give you big portions. I love their chicken parm which is not fried nor breaded unlike other restaurants. Every time we try other restaurants we always come back here to recover. This is our favorite restaurant.....

This place was FABULOUS!! My father-in-law's birthday was Monday and we thought we'd take him somewhere none of us had been. We all love Italian food and when I found Carlucci's on YELP and read the reviews, and read the menu on their website, the decision to try it was made. Boy are we glad we did. 1) It is BYOB...but there's a wine store in the same shopping center... 2) The appetizers were amazing...we had clams casino which was served with some kind of buttery sauce, delicious and tender fried calimari, and my favorite, fried artichokes with a lemony garlic sauce...YUM! 3) The menu is extensive and they also offer a good variety of specials. Entrees come with choice of soup or salad and the creamy vegetable soup with clams I had tonight was so tasty! The gnocchi special featured light and fluffy gnocchi with baby shrimp, grape tomatoes, red peppers and some kind of creamy sauce...so good! My husband couldn't decide so ordered 2 entrees...the chicken with papardelle and peas which was amazing and the ravioli with spinach in a rosy cream sauce...they were both wonderful. Other diners sampled a veal special and the seafood trio...both of which they enjoyed very much. 4) The portions are large...and they bring you two kinds of breads...when you first sit down, a focaccia with tomato sauce on top and before the entree, a huge puff of pizza dough covered in olive oil and garlic...you know how some pizza crust bubbles up and gets hollow...well just like that...but as big as a dinner plate...it was delicious and we ate it all even though, by this time, we were getting full. 5) Desserts...quite a nice choice and we sampled 3 between the 4 of us. Mine was the best...cherry and amaretti swirled ice cream...also good was the chocolate truffle, followed by the pretty decent bread pudding. The service was perfect...super friendly AND attentive but not at all rushed...the food came out piping hot, water glasses were replenished and plates removed quickly and efficiently. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant! Excuse me while I go undo the waistband of my pants...

I would first like to point out that there are two Carlucci's in this mall, one is a pizza joint and called Carlucci's Express, the other is a sit down restaurant BYOB and is called Carlucci's Grill. The later is a gem!! Don't fret if you arrive without your vino, there is a Superfresh around the corned in the mall with a liquor store. So get a table, walk down and get a couple of bottles. OK, so now you are served fresh baked italian bread topped with marinara sauce, yum!! The entree choices are many and I have had most (except fish, can't go there). Bar none, they are served piping hot and delicious. Oh and the fresh baked garlic bread, very different, kind of like a whole large pita cooked with olive oil and fresh garlic brushed on top. If you hear singing don't be surprised. They have a few that love to serenade while working, it is very refreshing. All the servers are a little older and have perfected their craft. No teenagers just looking to get it over with here! The ambiance is such that you forget that you are in a strip mall the minute you get inside. The prices are average, you can spend between $10-$20 on an entree. If you have kids with you there is a nice kids menu and crayons to help them color the flip side of the place mat. Turn it in at the end of your meal and they will stamp it with free kids pizza stamp and say, you won!! This makes the day for them, too cool. One of our favorite haunts, definitely worth it!!

We LOVE Carlucci's! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very nice. The food is authentic (even though one reviewer mistakenly referred to the mostly Italian staff as Mexican) and very fresh! I have never had a bad meal there! Carlucci's is a BYOB like every other restaurant in Yardley (except for the Yardley Inn I believe) because Yardley is a dry town. You can hardly blame the establishment for abiding by the law. Either way, Carlucci's great for families or couples! Do yourself a favor and try it out! For a quicker mean try the new Carluccis Food Court near Oxford Valley Mall or Carluccis Express right around the corner!!

  • Babs J.

One of my favorite restaurants in an area in desperate need of something other than chain restaurants! The people who have given Carlucci's bad ratings are DEFINITELY not talking about the right place. This is the restaurant in Kohl's shopping center NOT near Sesame Place and the mall. That place WAS called Carlucci's Express but it is now Mama Mia Trattoria. And is very good as well! So, NO heat lamps with food underneath them AND NO calzones and pannini's on the menu...folks are absolutely confused! Great food, great service, true Italians serving excellent Italian food. Like other reviewers have said, it is a BYOB so be sure to stop by SuperFresh (which is also in the Kohl's shopping center) before you go. Yardley is NOT a dry town...not sure where that came from...and it is NOT full of Quakers! That is just too funny and I work at a Quaker school! I have been eating here since they opened and have NEVER had a bad experience!

With all due respect, I believe the previous reviewer was talking about a different restaurant. Carlucci's is most certainly a full restaurant, with ample seating (although a huge waiting list on weekend nights -- but that's because it is SO GOOD). The wait staff at Carlucci's are unfailingly polite and helpful, and the food is terrifically fresh. Tomato sauce is the best I've tasted in a long time, and their desserts are wonderful as well. The restaurant is BYOB but there's a state store in the same shopping center, inside Super Fresh. Can't wait to return to Carlucci's!

Nothing out of this world. Basically, Carlucci's is a corner pizza place with a few additional menu items, like calzones and panini. The staff is efficient but entirely unfriendly. I like the chicken, spinach and provalone panino for a quick lunch. For a pizzeria, the presentation isn't bad. It's mostly a take-out joint, though. There are a few seats inside, but the pickup traffic can get annoying.

One of my favorite local restaurants -- good food, lots of variety and good service. The BYOB is a plus too. It can get crowded on a Friday or Saturday night & they only take reservations for larger parties.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
