Trio is an interesting place with a good size selection of various Italian food items, a decent, complete deli type of menu and a huge beer selection. There food items consist of large proportions, but lacking in flavor and pizzazz. The food is basically just a lot of rather bland, stacked cold cuts and chesses for a hoagie and for their Philly Cheese Steak, definitely not up to the standards of the Philadelphia area. It might pass for great somewhere out in Utah, but not in its birthplace of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You'll see a lot of the Widener College kids there but as is known, Widener kids are a rather inexperience tasteless lot and the real close by places of the college campus are nonexistent. So, for their patronage, direct nearby campus competition is sparse. If Trio Cold Cuts were located elsewhere, like Alberta, Canada, I'd give it the three or maybe even four stars, but when they are in the heart of hoagie and cheese steak, they can't rate better than a two star when compared to their competition.

I came here for a late lunch one day before me and the BF headed out for a Total-Wine-beer-purchasing-extravaganza in Delaware. We were seated at this little table in front of a huge cooler of carry out beer. Definitely a great selection considering this is just a little deli-type place. (They had Magic Hat Elderberry, so I was excited.) I ended up getting the eggplant parm, which was decent, but definitely needed more marinara sauce. The eggplant was delicious and you could taste it was fresh, so that was good enough for me. The BF got the buffalo chicken cheesesteak and inhaled it before I got a bite. His only comment was "I really didn't want to eat the whole thing, but I just couldn't help it." That speaks volumes. I'll definitely be back to Trio! I'm excited to try one of their hoagies next time.

I'm from California and have been missing a good sub shop so that might be why i was so elated to eat from Trio. The service was slow but friendly. The food selection was awesome and I finally got a good ruben, i had been looking for one in monterey for a long time. I got a great sub and a great ruben for less than $13, i could hardly believe it. Great deli!

The rating may be a little skewed since there's no other really good hoagie shop in the area, but I think some of these reviews are pretty tough on this place. This has a classic little Italian deli feel with very nice people working and serves up some good food too. The hoagies are decently priced: hot and cold are between $6-$8 for a 12 inch. I went with the old-fashioned Italian and it was LOADED with meats. Now I'm a little picky and usually like the meat on the bottom of the hoagie but they went the other way. Didn't ruin the sandwich though and I devoured it all. The other side is a nice little sitdown spot, plus you can buy singles, sixers, or twelve-packs of beer to enjoy with your hoagie. Wawa might be the popular hoagie place in the Delaware Valley area, this place definitely makes better quality sandwiches at a comparable price.

Very very pleased with how fast they were able to help out my family in a pinch. We had a death in the family and we called them to have hoagies made with 3 sides. They had everything ready within 2 hours and the food was delicious!!! Thank you Trios!

What a delicious place! From the smell when you enter the door, to the last lick of your fingers, it's delicious. I have been there on several occasions and I am a particular fan of the Prosciutto and Sharp Provolone sandwich. To Die FOR! Instantly you know it's high quality. The staff is friendly and happy to answer questions. The selection of Italian goodies alone is worth the trip. The spices are also fantastic! I gave it 4 starts only because it could use a dusting. :)

I love Trio's. Not only do they have delicious hoagies, but they've got a great selection of good foods and cheeses. I've never eaten on the restaurant side, but the sandwich side is great. Try the Old-Style Italian... i think that's what it's called. If you get mayo, you might want to ask them to go light. They sometimes have a tendency to put on a lot and that can be kind of gross.

When in Philly for work, I stop here daily for lunch. All of the sandwiches are great, but whatever you order, make sure you get it on Sarcone bread. OMG, it is so delicious! If you are in a hurry, consider calling your order in for take out as the service can be a bit slow in the restaurant section if they are busy. I will be back later this month for my Sarcone bread fix! mmmmm!

The night I went there, the waitress was extremely nice to us, and the hoagies were pretty good. In fact, the wife loved her chicken cheesesteak so much, she said she could eat a second one. My tuna hoagie wasn't as exciting as that, but I had no problem with it. I didn't think the hoagies were overly special. But they're decent enough. It's probably closer to 3 1/2 stars, but they get the 4th due to the good service the night I went. I just wish they hadn't run out of soup at 7pm on a Friday night.

The freshest cold cuts. Best imported pastas and sauces as well as other fine Italian imported items. Their salad items are awesome. I'm a big fan of the best potato Salad in the county. Their shrimp salad is so fresh and appetizing... And dare say I don't believe you can get a better hoagie outside of Philly. Been a fan for over 20 years. They are the best in DELCO.

Damn good sandwiches. Some of the best in Delco! Also, if you like to cook healthy food Trio's has a great selection of Salt Free Seasonings that I have trouble finding anywhere else.

Trio Cold Cuts & Sandwich Pub is the best deli in southern Delaware County and maybe in the whole county. "Why?" you may ask. Three words - clean, fresh and tasty. The owner is a stickler for cleanliness which translates into high customer volume which means that the inventory turnover is high and the product is fresh - such a simple formula that simply works. Trio is a deli with fresh lunch meats, chesses, breads and other deli and food products. They have homemade salads like potato, macaroni and seafood that really taste like homemade. Trio does a very large business in take out with a great selection of sandwiches and they even have a few vegetarian sandwiches that are quite good. On the other side of the store is a sandwich pub and beer store. The sandwich pub has sit down waiter service where you can get your sandwich with draft or bottled beer. One wall of the pub is a long refrigerator filled with a large selection of beers for take out. Clean, fresh and tasty, what more could you ask for in a deli.

If I wasn't starving, I couldn't have made a dent in my sandwich. I went here because of the past review mentioning vegetarian sandwiches, and that was what I was craving. When I saw the outside of the place, I began to have my doubts. However, there were a couple of good reviews here with high praises, so I proceeded. At first look the store looked nice. We ordered and then looked around at the pasta, sauces, cheeses, and frozen stuff for sale. The first thing I noticed was how dusty most of the products were and that most of the canned goods I picked up were nearing the expiration date. The place was dead and there was one other guy picking up an order. They had frozen pasta and perioges and other goodies in freezers for sale, but most of them looked massively frost bitten, so they must have been there for a while as well. I kinda had a bad feeling after looking around the store, but then figured the ingredients they used for the sandwiches must be better. However, I shouldn't have given them the benefit of the doubt. While the prices were good, the sandwich was hardly edible. The broccoli rabe was mushy, while the eggplant was tough and leathery. The cheese was all in a wad and had been cut into thick little rectangles. You think a deli would have a good way to slice cheese. It also had a funny taste. The whole thing tasted like the ingredients had been precooked, sat around for a while, and then were nuked in a microwave. My boyfriend had a meatball sandwich. He said it was not as bad as mine, but was very bland and was definitely missing something. Needless to say, this is definitely the worst veggie sandwich I've ever had, and I won't be back.

Ok. I've had a number of subs in my life and none can compare to those at Trio's! I moved back to pittsburgh from Clifton heights nearly 3 years ago and still crave these subs. The meats and cheeses they use are atypical of most subs - with Italian meats like prosciutto and sharp provolone cheese. The Godfather was my favorite - lots of Italian meats, sharp provolone, and roasted red peppers.

When I first moved to Wallingford, Trio's was a godsend. Their hoagies were huge and wonderful. Fresh ingredients, Amaroso rolls, and friendly service. However over the last several years the service in particular has taken a u-turn. The staff is so rude and dismissive. And the sandwiches are awful now. Greasy, cold "hot" sandwiches, the love is gone. And so am I! Never again will I have the "manager" berate my wife like a second class citizen because YOU screwed up on an order. I'm looking forward to a new business moving in because Trio's is quickly digging it's own grave.

The sandwiches are pretty decent, and they have a pretty good selection of beer. I usually go for the roast pork or italian special. The biggest problem is the service. We try to go for lunch during the week but the average amount of time we have to wait for our food has been about an hour. An hour to make 8 cold cut sandwiches? That's a little ridiculous.
