Best Mexican Food EVER! Seems like everytime I travel I check out some Mexican food places and I still have yet to find one better. Who would have guessed the best food would be in Waynesboro?

I love eating at Montezuma's! Great mexican food and I always get great service when I'm there! I love the Carnitas!

I came with some girlfriends on the way to the movies. The waiter did not know the menu items and could not answer many questions. Clearly "new" here. One of my friends ordered a shrimp burrito to with no peppers. When our meals came hers was not brought. Then he came back to the table said they didn't make hers and that it would be out soon. He came back about a minute later and sat down a plate. Turns out it was not a shrimp burrito, it was a combo burrito AND it had peppers in it. He didn't come back for a good five minutes. When we explained what happened he said, "yeah sorry, I brought you the wrong thing." No offer to make anything else. When the check came, he charged her the full amount! For food she didn't order!!! When she went to the front desk to try to ask about a discount or something, the were very rude and still made her pay. The manger said, "well he's new." I'm sorry, but you should have tried to rectify the situation. This was a horrible experience and put a damper on the whole night. Won't be back!!! #byefelicia #yousuck #sorrynotsorry #takeyourrecieptandshoveit

Easily my favorite Mexican place within an hours drive. To start with the restaurant is large and roomy and the service and quick and attentive. As soon as we were seated our drink order was taken and we were brought chips and salsa while we reviewed the menu. I ordered a burrito and my girlfriend ordered a taco salad. The meals came back quickly and were hot and fresh. The food here is as close to Mexican as can be found in the area!!

Good place for families or business. Good food and the prices are very reasonable. Very well kept and clean. Has an authentic feel to it. Service is friendly and fairly quick. Plenty of choices on the menu so everyone can find something.

It is ok and that is about it. The service is always great but the food is very bland even for American style mexican food. Will go again but would not recommend. As I said food is edible, but nothing to write home about. Hopefully a,good Mexican place opens in town so those that rave about the food can see what it should taste like.

Service- Ok. Server didn't ask if we wanted desert so left and went somewhere else. On the other hand they did well at keeping our drinks full and giving us plenty of chips and salsa. For the most part everyone was friendly. Food- Standard like the other reviews. One meal had a hair in it. And they remade it with no complaints. Everything else was presented well and tasted mediocre. The meal with the hair was removed from out bill and I didn't even complain :-)

Good Mexican food, quick service. No alcohol is sold however. I typically like to get a dish called chori pollo but this restaurant doesn't have this dish which I found odd since I've had it at every other Mexican place I've been. The quesadillas here are very delicious

I've enjoyed all the Montezuma locations, but this is by far my favorite. Nice and roomy, good service, great food. Tonight's fish taco was new on the menu and very tasty.

Large variety, great taste, fairly large portions, reasonable prices, friendly efficient service. Among the family tonight we had Enchilada Verde, Fajita Burrito, Enchilada Supreme, and Beef Taco. Everyone liked it all! Be careful, the chips are fresh and addictive...

This is your generic Mexican restaurant. Every suburban area in the country has its own, and this is Waynesboro's version. The service is quick and the waiters are friendly. The prices are cheap and the ingredients are too, but it tastes pretty darn good--and that's why we go to these places. It's a step up from Taco Bell, but doesn't hold a candle to traditional home-cooked Mexican food.

Solid 4 star on food and service , BYOB or stuck drinking tea in place of Dos Equis , chips are Very good, the salsa is so so . This place is a must try in Waynesboro , I have eaten at the 4 of their locations and enjoyed then all , the food quality is the same which is quite impressive for a small chain .

Montezuma's (original author misspelled the name) has very good Mexican food, friendly staff, filling chips :-) and is very reasonably priced. One thing I can't quite grasp is that nearly all the male waitstaff have their hair shaved/styled into Mohawks. Weird! Not that it detracts from the quality of service, but just an oddity. A definite MUST for anyone who likes good grub from South of the Border. I didn't know that BYOB was allowed b/c of Pennsylvania's antiquated and out-dated liquor laws, so I'll be sure to bring some Tecate with me next time. Salute!

Good food, fast service, everything was accurate and served very hot, large portions and very affordable. Fresh, crispy warm chips with some nippy salsa, very nice. Ambiance was a little cold. Lots of tile and no music that we could hear. I ordered La Rancheria which was sauted mushrooms, tomatos and onions over beef tips = Mexican Stew. It was very good and so large a portion I had half of it boxed up to go. Walked out spending under $30 for three of us. Not bad. Authentic perhaps..but perhaps not. Waitress was amazing with keeping the water glasses topped off and we always go through the water! She was really pushing the desert in a good way but we were just too full. Very friendly waitress.

This is Mexican food at its best. I can't seem to think of anything but seriously generic things to say, such as how good everything is. It's true. Everything I have ever tried here is just darn good. The chips are baked in-house daily, the salsa must be fresh as well, and the bean and cheese dip must be tried to be believed. Somehow this place has managed to nail every single angle down. The food, decor and service all work together like a well oiled machine cranking out over 12000 rpms (that's 'really premium meals'). Aside from the strange mohawks the servers sport, its a great place for a few quick tacos or a hearty meal. Be prepared to spend a little more. It isn't taco bell after all.

Great Mex/TexMex. Fantastic meal served in pineapple and then they talked us into desert! Very friendly staff who made us feel right at home and special. Highly recommend.

Good food and service. I don't know how authentic the food is but you can't best the taste and price. We had 3 combo plates for $30. Not much on atmosphere but the food is worth the visit.

Moved to Maryland from Southern California a few months ago and we head a few good reviews from people that have eaten there. The food was decent as we compared it to what my wife and I have eaten for the last thirteen years and it was mediocre. In addition, not two hours after eating there my wife and I are dealing with some adverse effects from the food and that has never happened in a Mexican restaurant we have eaten at so sadly we will not return.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
