Sal's Pizza in the Gateway Shopping Center - Wayne, PA 19087 I finally got out to get some Sa'ls pizza on my own. My company orders from there all the time, but this time I went out to pickup from Sal's. Good, hot, fresh made food. Typical small pizza shop that runs on the corner in your neighborhood, but they're inside a local plaza near my office. I got a buffalo chicken cheesesteak, and some jalepeno poppers. Cheesesteak was real good! I'm waiting on the poppers to cool down before I tear into them. Good eats!

I don't know how much business these guys get, but both times I ate at Sal's, the slices I ordered had clearly been sitting out for a long time. They may even have been reheated more than once, because they were bizarrely crunchy and tasteless. Maybe you'll have better luck with a whole, freshly-made pie or one of the other menu items, but I can't recommend the slices here. Go get a frozen pizza from Trader Joe's! You'll be way happier.

Oh, I've always wanted my pizza crust to taste like card board - says no one, ever! This is hands down the WORST pizza I have ever had. We ordered 2 large pizzas, and everyone pretty much ate ~1/2 slice. I literally could not take another bite. and couldn't stomach anymore. I hate wasting food, but we threw out the leftovers. When I tried to put more pizza in my mouth, it would go try, like my saliva was running for its life from this atrocity.

Decent plain cheese pizza but I'm giving this place a 1 star for hygiene. The gentleman who warmed my slice was working on some silver pots at the back he came up to help me, used his hands to take the slice from the tray and put it in the oven. Then used the cash register to charge me and then went back to stacking pots. When the pizza was warm he used his fingers to take it out. I get that pizza is made with hands but dude if your touching everything under the son and then putting your hands on my pizza? No way.

I thoroughly enjoyed my philly cheesesteak from here. The man who runs the restaurant seemed very friendly and warm towards all the customers. I find that to be very important when trying a new place. I wouldn't mind coming back here next time I'm in town.

We ordered a large amount of food for delivery and were told 50 minutes for delivery. When it got to over two hours, we got a bit annoyed, particularly when they hung up on us when we asked when they were delivering. When we finally got the food, the chicken parm sub was decent, as was the meatball and the ravioli. I guess the big orders were a bit dicey. Unfortunately, getting a large order to us in a timely manner was the most important thing in this rating.

Nice little place to stop by for a quick bite. I ordered cheese fries with mozzarella cheese, and like it. Fries were good and cheese were very stringy. This place is good for takeout. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Sal also does catering for parties and events.

My family has been ordering Pies and such from Sal's since 1977. Tonight was the same as always, large sausage half 'shroom and a large meatball Stromboli....delicious !!!!! There have been changes in ownership over the years but the consistency is still there! I love the chew of the dough and the balance between the sweetness and herb profile of the sauce with just enough of acidity! Of course there have been times Sal's didn't meet our expectations but those have been few! I wish Wilmington had a Sal's

Very good Pizza. Downside is that there is only 3 little table to eat at. Basically a take-out only, not really a sit down and eat kind of place. Overall good pizza place.

I have only gone one time, and it was because there was a good review about their cheesesteaks. Well, I don't know what that other person has eaten in the past...but those experiences must not be good. The cheesesteak was passable, but it was nothing you couldn't make yourself with some meat and a good roll. it was okay at best. if you needed a cheesesteak quick and you lived less than 5 minutes away I would recommend it. If not, then I wouldn't go. I will try it again in a pinch, but wont order the cheesesteak again.

One time I ordered here, they answered the phone "yo!" and another night, my pizza was about an hour and a half late, and they had me call the delivery guy, which only confused him more cause he in the process of delivering someone else's pizza and didn't have mine. So yeah, they've definitely had some off nights when it comes to service. Their pizza is good, but it's pretty much just standard pizza joint pizza. Maybe I'll give their cheesesteaks a try next time.

It's actually not in Wayne, but Berwyn, I think. This place has bomb cheesesteaks. I'm in Bryn Mawr, so a trip to South Philly is totally not worth it. This place curbed my cravings, and really delivered on the quality. I got it with American Cheese. The meat was moist, the bread was crispy, the cheese was melty. It's pretty good if you put a little ketchup on it. Don't be too generous with that though, you're not eating a ketchup sandwich. At $6 a pop, it's a good deal. I didn't try the pizza, and I don't think I ever will...

Excellent little pizza shop that serves their food with a great personal touch. This is how pizza shops should look and taste!

Go in a few minutes before closing and ask for two slices to go heated up. Guy tells me it's $5. He bags them up for me and hands me the slices in a white bag. I walk to my car and drive home only to see the two sorriest slices I have ever purchased. In a normal pizza two slices are a quarter of the round pie. These two slices made up about 1/6 of a round pizza. Very disappointed when a large pie only cost 3 times more than what I paid. Being the end of the night they couldn't even cut me a break and give me a decent sized slice. The sauce had no flavor and the cheese well there was barely any. Pizza is really hard to mess up and these guys managed to do so. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

This is a long, over due review of a place I ate at forever when I lived in the area. I stop by whenever I'm in town. The cheesesteaks and pizza are both great. Staff is very friendly. Wonderful local pizzeria.

This would not be my pizza pick. They leave the pies out all day, and one Sunday, as I was walking to Trader Joe's from TJ Maxx, I noticed that they had a pizza sitting OUTSIDE, open to the air, next to the cigarette ash tray. Not exactly sanitary or appetizing, if you ask me. Plus the guys were smoking right next to it too. Yes, the prices are cheap but I wouldn't trust the food here.
