Staying in the area for a couple of nights and decided to try them out based on the great reviews. We were not disappointed. Had dinner at the bar because they were booked with reservations. They were busy but the service was great. Chicken parm for me and my husband got some gnocchi. Both were fantastic. Portions were huge so plan to share or take some home when you leave!

The best dinner in Uniontown. Travelers be aware: portion sizes are huge. Hope you have a fridge in your room. Otherwise: share.

This place is awesome! Live in Ashburn Va, grew up in Uniontown. If this place was in Ashburn it would be hard to get into! Food portions are over the top, easily enough for lunch next day. Only negative but not enough to drop from 5 stars: wine is a little bit over priced.

Family of five visiting from out of town. Had a very good meal: lobster scampi, homemade gnocchi and ravioli, cream cake, etc. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Lori, was a very attentive and friendly waitress. The food was very good. I started with the Fr Bob Bruschetta, the Lory recommended the Chicken Marsala, a favorite of mine. It was Devine:-). I add the Brussels sprouts (which I loved). I wasn't expecting much in this little town, but was impressed and will come again!

Based on the Yelp reviews, we stopped here for lunch - the reviewers were right - this place is great! On the menu they warn you that the lunch portions are smaller than those served for dinner. We could just about finish what was on our plate! The place itself is in what looks like an old train station and has a very nice warm feeling to it. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The Spaghetti & Meatball selection was good but the winner was the Mushroom Cappelletti which were small filled tortellini-type pasta with fresh sliced mushrooms in a delicious cream sauce. With 2 glasses of house Chianti, the bill (before tax & tip) came to around $30.00 Well worth a stop if you're near Uniontown.

Wow. And wow Who in their wildest thoughts would ever think that in Union Town PA where the Walmart gets real busy on the 1at of every month (if you get what I mean) that one could find such an outstanding place I had one of the specials a salmon dish with scallops and shrimp. I have travelled the world and have never had such a great dish (and for only $25.). Way to go Angie and crew

Caporellas is one of my favorite restaurants. They serve fresh hot hard crusted bread. They have the best dipping oil anywhere. Their lunch menu and prices are very good. It cost less than going to Panera, and so much better. The atmosphere inside is very nice. We always had friendly waitresses. I have never had a bad meal there. Desserts are very good except for the Tiramisu which is not real Tiramisu, it is cake. The Italian cream cake is my favorite.

Fabulous Italian cuisine in Uniontown's historic Grindle train Station! The best restaurant in Uniontown--this family run business never disappoints. The fish is always fresh, the beans and greens (while heavy in garlic) is delicious--especially when paired with sparkling moscato, and they've some tasty desserts. Friendly and attentive staff assist you and yours to have a delicious and romantic date night experience.

The owners and management are snobbish non-negotiable people, especially when it comes to reserving a banquet room. My friend reserved the large room for a rehearsal dinner. Two weeks before the event, they tried to move him to a smaller room that would not accommodate his large group. He had to scramble to find another venue. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND HIS DEPOSIT! Very unprofessional!

This place's server first brought out some delicious bread and tasty dipping sauce. The house salad dressing was perfect and not overbearing. The zucchini parm with side of pasta was served hot and was satisfying .The waitress , Alley, did a fine job also. Nothing bad to say here.

Ate here for the first time and it was great! Ordered the antipasto plate to start and it was tasty....3 types of meat, 2 cheeses, roasted peppers, anchovies, 2 types of olives and almonds. It was a good size portion for $12. The house olive oil they provide for dipping your bread in was delicious....Italian herbs with a little kick of red pepper! For dinner, we had the chicken picatta and veal scallopini. Both were good size portions and quite tasty! We will definitely come back! The decor was great, food delicious and service was friendly and attentive.

Thanks yelp! Great place for lunch as we were driving east. Lunch menu was great value - really good food at very good price. Warm crusty bread with dipping oil was fantastic. French onion soup was served piping hot ( the way it should be), and had great flavor. I had the Chicken parmesan - it was cooked perfectly - lightly breaded & not greasy. My wife had some version of pasta with mushrooms in an asiago cream sauce which was also very good. We boxed up enough to take home for dinner. Sorry we do not live nearby or this would easily become a favorite.

Our first of many visits to Capporella's! It was highly recommended and I can't believe no-one bothered to yelp it! Excellent food (can't wait to try more things) I had the crab and shrimp stuffed ravioli with sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms in a vodka sauce, wonderful! The hubby had shrimp and scallops over tortellini with an Alfredo sauce, it was amazing as well! (Of course I tasted it) We all had the wedding soup, it was great as well. No room for dessert, we ate too much bread... zucchini appetizer also delicious!

My wife and I were traveling through Uniontown and stumbled across this exceptional restaurant. They were packed with no available tables for two hours. We sat at the bar and decided to eat there. The service was exceptional and the food was marvelous. The barrister recommended a very nice Chilean Cab. We would highly recommend the Chicken Palamero and the Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
