ICE CREAM! so I'm an ice cream fanatic (almost as much as chocolate) and I've always heard good things about Friendly's. The cool thing is that they serve ice cream, but (drumroll) I wasn't blown away by it. I had the chocolate chip double scoop waffle cone...wow it sounds horrible written O_O but anyway, it was good but not out of this world amazing. Now, I didn't just eat ice cream, I had a chicken sandwich thing and it was actually very good; the food itself was tasty but the ice cream was alright, I've certainly had better. The place is a little small, when you walk it the ice cream "shop" is right in front of you which is convenient if you just want a snack, other than that the inside was small but it was fine, no complaints here. oh yea they also have an extensive menus, from breakfast (NOTE:

The ice cream is fine, but the waitresses get everything wrong. This is my second time coming here, this time was not great. First, they put chocolate in my ice cream when I say NO chocolate. They could have been sued because I am allergic to chocolate. Then, they got someone else's receipt mixed with my receipt. Lastly, they really need to clean up everything. The menus really stink.

EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED HERE, people looked upset and angry. Waiters took long and it looked like they forgot to clean the place for a few days. Will not return here. Also, the food tasted and looked like it was dipped in oil just before serving it.

The staff is friendly, quick and attentive. Every time I'm in the area I always stop here for a quick meal. The food is prepared well and is reasonably priced. My friend and I had a variety for breakfast and the bill came out to around $10.

Food was ok. Service was slow. My coffee cup was dirty, and instead of simply apologizing that it was dirty, the manager and server tried to explain-- basically saying it was a build up of coffee grounds. I don't care what it was, something wasn't properly cleaned if a build up of coffee grounds is on the side of my coffee cup. Yuck. An apology would have been sufficient.

I believe this is the one near Great Wolf Lodge. came here w. family for dinner, thinking it was a cheaper alternative to GWL (it turns out, not really). as we walked in, an Asian group of 12, I saw 2 of the staff, & what looked like the manager. eye contact was made, but no one immediately came to the hostess counter to greet us. it made me uncomfortable, causing me to think about the old stories of Denny's, & racism. waitress was nice, but food was disappointing. my impression was that these types of restaurants were much better outside of NYC, this one wasn't. cafeteria food; I think they use the microwave for certain items (which is why some of the dishes came w warning that plate was hot).

Man, I was excited about coming to Friendlys until I got horrible service. I am going to order my chicken dinner and it says NEW on the menu - never had it before. Well let's order that and once I get it, no gravy. "We are out of gravy" says Anais, the waitress with attitude. Fine, I will eat it. Then I realize, I don't have corn on the cob either. "We don't have corn on the cob either" says Anais, the waitress with attitude. I ordered based on the menu and I didn't get two of the items. "I told you it comes with corn" says Anais, the waitress with attitude. Wait, so I am suppose to assume when you tell me I get corn that I am not getting corn on the cob. I would have been fine if we just switched it but nope she had to throw a temper tantrum and argue with me. So, you know what, I will pass and make sure I don't come to this Friendlys again. Thank you manager for trying to be nice but still pissed.

Grace Under Fire- Jateya was an AMAZING server. We were 6 people at a booth out of a party of 30. She was happy chipper up beat and super friendly. And took our orders super fast and got out orders out as well as keeping up with the other 4 tables.

This place sure ain't The Taste Bud, I tell ya what... I got as far as the lobby, before I decided to leave with my protest signs and fellow "Taste Bud Enthusiasts" (We meet every Tuesday and Thursday behind the old firehouse). From what I could tell, the place seemed to be mobbed with tourists and screamin' kids. I snarled at the hostess when she asked how many were in my party, telling her to go "jump in a lake". I'll never understand why anyone would wanna spend their cold hard cash at a chain restaurant. Now the Taste Bud would treat you like family. Ol' "Tin Man Tommy" would always make sure you were fed right. After cookin' your meal, he'd personally deliver it to your table and play a little number on his ukulele. Ah, those were the days.

Came here for a Camelback ski trip and Friendly's was one of the only restaurants open during Christmas Eve! I ordered takeout and was very pleased with the friendly service via telephone. I had the Half Turkey Club SuperMelt and Garden Salad. The sandwich was delicious and juicy, the salad was fresh. I'm pleased with my experience with Friendly's!

I love stopping by this particular Friendly's for the New England Clam Chowder. I have asked the waiter, who presented one of the cook staff and explaining how they make their Clam Chowder. All Friendly's get a list of approved suppliers that have a similar quality and taste to purchase their pre-mixes and ingredients for. Their New England Clam Chowder comes from one such pre-packaged mixes. They just re-heat it. I thanked them for their honesty, and quality of service. I still like their New England Clam Chowder for a bit of clam in every bite. The entrees are okay, nothing special. I usually order the Fish n' Chips, burgers or Fried Clam Basket. The fried stuff is soggy, but I kind of like that, rather than the crunchy since it sometimes cuts up my gums. I love their ice creams, and try to finish the Jim Dandy on my own... not been successful yet. I've got sentimental ties to this particular branch of Friendly's and been a patron here for about the last 17 years. I'll be coming back whenever I can.

I am originally from PA....now living in the northern VA area. Every time I visit the Pocono region, I stop by Friendly's in Tannersville. The breakfast is consistently good. If it is lunch or dinner time, we always have to get the ice cream for dessert. The place is clean and comfortable and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. The menu prices are very affordabe. This is my favorite Friendly's restaurant!

As far as a Friendly's goes, it was pretty much what is to be expected. That being said, today i am super swollen from the sodium filled meal. Our server was really... well friendly. The hostess not so much. I don't know forgive me but i like to be greeted with a smile when i enter a restaurant. i know Friendly's is just 1/2 a step above fast food but... they couple their meals with ice cream sundaes. who can say no to that?! i have to say their ice cream is pretty much worth suffering through their lackluster food.

This was my first time at this Friendly's and my last time. Went with my wife for breakfast. Her french toast was not cooked on one side. Totally raw egg and she ate a few bites before realizing the side placing the plate was raw. Our waitress was very sorry and replaced the breakfast quickly. The troubling thing is that I sent a complaint to Friendly's who in turn contacted the owner. The owner called us and told us that what we were saying was impossible. Another words we were telling a lie. We told her to ask the waitress and then she started making excuses like it is a young crew there. There are many other better choices in the area.
