Two stars is pushing it. I have been to this place three times and will not be going back. We went to The Butcher and the Barkeep but they had a 45 minute wait, so we drove through Skippack looking and ended up here. The burger looked like someone had taken a flame thrower to it. The Paella shrimp tasted slightly past its prime. The chicken wrap was made with chicken salad- we sent it back. The beers were luke warm. The bathroom unclean and tiny. The wait staff was aloof to the point of us having to get up from the table twice to ask for something.

It took a long time to be seated which was odd since we were surrounded by empty tables when we finally did get a table. Drinks and food took quite a long time as well. We were handed the list of specials and then told all the things that were already sold out. The outdoor area is a real plus on a nice night

The one and only good thing about this place is their outdoor seating. That's it. The food is horrible, and the service is slacking. Always a long wait. There's so many better places in Skippack to go.

One of my biggest regrets in life (okay, not in life but for my most recent excursion to eastern Pennsylvania) is my trip to Justin's Carriage House. I could beat myself silly for not reading the Yelp reviews first. I haven't actually read the reviews, but, I will say from my own personal experience that it is was just plain AWFUL. It really looked appealing from the menu. Don't be fooled. I ordered the Crab Cobb salad. They get points for using real crab. (I asked before ordering). Nothing else about it was, at all, appealing. It was very "so so". I also ordered sangria. It seemed to do the job, but didn't really help me forget the miserable dining experience. Service was lacking. They took an exceptionally long time taking our order and even longer to bring the check. We were dining outside, but so were many others. It was a beautiful summer day. We considered walking up to the front to request the check, but they did eventually come. My sister ordered a wrap. When I think wrap, I think "fresh and light". This was not that way at all. I believe it was called the Athen's Wrap, or something like that. The wrap arrived hot, which was NOT described in the menu. The wrap was bathing in grease. She was not able to eat even half of it. This place was a complete disappointment. I hope, unlike me, that you've done your homework on Yelp and manage to avoid this gastronomical in gastronomical disappointment.

Justin's lies in the quaint village of Skippack, right on Skippack Pike. The old road house it resides in is very nice both inside and out. The first thing I noticed was no soap in the men's room... Hmmm... Then the waitresses in short shorts or skirts, while friendly, the uniform does not match the atmosphere and decor of the establishment! Portions are great. I started off with drench onion soup that, while tasty, was not hot enough and had too much cheese. I had to cut the thick lump of cheese with my knife. I ordered a seafood and pasta dish, that sounded really tasty from the description on the menu. The plate arrived and again, smothered in way too much mozzarella. The dish was also bland and the seafood overcooked. Justin's needs new attire for the staff and a chef that understands freshness and flavor, especially when preparing an Italian dish. Fresh tomatoes, roasted garlic and fresh herbs, with a sprinkling of Asiago and fresh Parmesan would have made this dish delicious!

Good Turkey club. Bad wait service. The perception is it does not seem like they are interested in good service.

Went to the bar with some friends to hear a band. Got there early so we could get a good seat and to get something to eat. The bartender saw us but waited about 8 min to greet us and ask what we wanted to drink. She was very snippy and seemed more focused on talking to co workers than making money. After one drink we left. We went to another establishment in Skippack to eat and see a band. Much better:)!! Sad because we all live close to Justin's.

Haven't been there for several years, but we happened to be in the area and decided to give it a try again. WHAT a disappointment. The service was poor (in fact the gal we had said "I'm not usually a waitress"....and that means what to me as a customer? I probably should have left right then !!) I had the coconut shrimp appetizer as my entrée and it was waaaay below standard. The drinks were watery and overall NOT a good experience. As another viewer wrote they should concentrate on the food and service instead of the coupons !! Not going again.

Idk why the rating is so low but tonight was great! We almost didn't come bc we were afraid of the low rating. I WILL NEVER TRUST A RATING AGAIN!!! Great food awesome burgers they even made me a special lent combo of seafood flatbread veggies and allowed me to be creative taking inspiration from all over the menu! Trust the smell of the awesome food over pretentious reviewers!!!

I use to like it here but it has really gone downhill. Be prepared to wait 10 to 15 minutes for a drink while bartenders stand in the corner and gossip. Then when you get your drink be prepared for the bartenders to continue gossiping about you. My boyfriend and I attempted to eat dinner there recently. Food was bland and cold!!! We sent it back and then it got burnt. $80 for a meal we couldn't eat. So sad:( Use to love this place.

This place is awful. Service is a wreck and smells like a pub that wasn't cleaned from a night and closed for 5 days and reopened. Stay out of this place. It's a shame but there doesn't seem like a ton of options around here. Family just walked in and I wanted to scream to turn around.

Went to Justin's on 8/19/2014. The fact that the second entree was free was no excuse for the poor quality of the food. I would rather pay full price and have something I could actually eat and enjoy. The salmon tasted like it was taken from the freezer and microwaved. It was chewy and dry. The asparagus tasted like it was boiled in water, the chewy ends in tact. The rice pilaf tasted as if it came out of a box; carrots in it tasted like freezed-dried. Of all things, they served a baked potato with the rice pilaf dish. At, least, I thought, they can't hurt a potato. I just should not have used the rank sour cream they served with it. I stopped at Paneras on the way home and got a salad.

Outdated decor, outdated food, and bad service. By far the worst restaurant I have been to in Skippack. Went because we had picked up a coupon definitely NOT worth it!

Pretty disappointing. I always drove through the town and thought all the stores were neat and cute so I decided to take my boyfriend here for dinner for his birthday. We were met- not even greeted- by a lady who was acting like she didnt want to be there. It also took five minutes for her to realize we were even standing there. She asked us, "do you want to sit outside or in the middle room or front room." i said, "what's the best? whats the difference?" she said "i dont know, just pick a table." I was kind of shocked. So we sat down and I was wondering if we should just get up and leave. The same lady comes and just goes "what do you want to drink." Didn't even introduce herself or ask us how we were! It took about 10 minutes for the drinks and then we ordered our food, which came out in a reasonable amount of time but we just got burgers. It wasn't terrible, but I probably could have made the same exact dinner but better. Throughout the whole dinner we had to listen to the waitresses whine and complain about how they didnt want to be working, so and so is late, and i think they were even complaining about a customer. I really did not want to give a tip because I was so upset with the service but as a former hostess who worked off tips, I couldnt do that. I was really hoping the inside would look better, and smelled better. Wouldve eaten outsite but it was too windy... Again, really disappointed and I'm kicking myself for not reading these reviews!

I have been here twice and both times my family and I were very disappointed with our meals. For the price your paying the food should be alot better. It was very tasteless and the inside decor could use a update bad! I have no idea how this place has stayed open this long with all the bad reviews. It's located in such a great little town with so many other better reasturants so I suggest picking one of the other places.

Went there for lunch, wife and I with another couple. Had the crab Cobb salad which I never heard of and so did another at the table. No crab, waitress argued with us; very rude, threw the napkins on the table,, very impatient. My wife had a hamburger that was terrible. Onion soup was edible... Worst experience ever. Would not recommend. VERY low prices - you indeed get what you pay for. Rossi cabernet - hello. Try the Park Bistro, the hotel or Bella 19.

What a joke. They should put some energy into better service and less on coupons. The service was so bad. I will never go here again.

Something is very wrong here. The restaurant is dirty, the servers look sorta... well homeless! The food is just gross. I can't begin to guess how they stay in business.

Have been going there for three years. They are getting better. Menu has taken great strides forward. Service improving. BEST wings in town. Patio is always pleasant. Dog friendly. Good bar to watch a game, indoor or out. Hope to move to 4 stars soon!

Baked Seafood Florentine $19 Shrimp, Scallops & Crabmeat with Roasted Red Peppers & Baby Spinach in a Light Cream Sauce topped with Mozzarella Cheese over Penne. Gluten Free if served over Rice Pilaf. I am posting the description of what I ordered but it certainly wasn't what was served. Light cream sauce? There was so much cream sauce on my plate I couldn't tell what anything was except the red peppers and green spinach, nothing else was identifiable. Everything on the plated tasted the same, that is of the 1/4 of my food that I ate I could go no further. The place is dirty at best and I should have turned around and left immediately. It is at best a corner bar that thinks it's a restaurant, the staff were dressed as if they were getting ready to clean the garage out. Never again and how anyone gives this place any stars is just too hard for me to understand. My fault for staying there just from looking around inside. I gave it one star for the wonderful parking lot, well lit and flat.

My main man Fudge and I decided to hit up Justin's after a solid round of nearby golf. When we walked in an elderly women was sitting in the lobby area, she grumbled something and got up as if to seat us, frisk us or perhaps just pass out...OK, I'm being a little salty here...I get like that. So we took a seat at the extremely dim lite bar, another couple at the other end of the bar and two waitresses texting/reading the newspaper, fine. I did not ask here name, the bartender was sassy, sarcastic, aggressive but not in a good or fun way, if that makes sense. Fudge and I are pretty easy going and like to goof around a little (we think in a good way). We had a few beers and ordered their Hot Wings and Pizza-Roll-Up-Do-Dad-Thingys. The wings were great! Meaty, a little crisp, wonderfully balanced sauce; a Wing after my own heart. But don't offend my with wilted, rubbery celery and watered down blue cheese sauce. Now for the Pizza-Roll-Up-Do-Dad-Thingys...F*CK ME DEAD! The description on the menu says pizza dough rolled up with mozzarella cheese on the inside with marinara sauce on the side for dipping...I don't think so. First, it's not pizza dough or any other kind of identifiable dough you would want to eat; dense, chewy and flavorless. Second, the proportions of cheese to bread was 1 to 3 (with the crappy bread winning). Lastly, the marinara was canned tomato sauce with no seasoning...it even had the tinny, metal like taste. It's called SALT for the love of God. Even some Craptastic dried basil would be a welcome addition. Better places nearby.

Justin's appears ready to go out of business. Owner is letting business go down hill. Sandwiches very skimpy for the price. Recently had clams casino which seemed to be frozen clams with a few bacon chips added. The bar looks well stocked but on closer examination many contain only a few ounces of alcohol. On two recent visits food came out lukewarm which suggest no communication between cook and wait staff or maybe staff have just given up and don't care about the customer. My wife reported no paper towels in restroom on two visits. Place could use a good cleaning. Bar is dark and dank. We have seen places like this go down from California to Washington, D.C. The owner should let it go and give someone else a chance to change for the better.

This place is terrible. Just went for drinks and apps with a couple of friends. Went here a few years ago for dinner and it wasn't great, but we figured how bad could a place screw up drinks and a few apps. Well...pretty bad. I've come to find certain items on a restaurants menu tell a lot about the type of ingredients and care they put into their food. Nachos are one of those items. The freakin' nachos at Justin's were some super salty nachos, canned jalapenos, a small sprinkling of shredded cheese, and some chopped up tomatoes. The nachos were served with two tiny cough syrup size cups of salsa and sour cream. I've never seen anything like it. We ordered two orders of wings, one teriyaki and one honey bbq. The blue cheese was watery, not very appetizing. Both flavors of wings were tasteless. If I was blind folded I could not have determined which flavor was which. At least they were cooked properly so at least I won't get sick. Hate to write such a bad review on drinks and apps alone, though i saw enough to get the sense this place is a sinking ship. Or perhaps a sunken ship.

Worst food in Philly. Tasteless and expensive food for the quality you're paying for. Spinach and artichoke dip tastes like it came from one of those buckets from costco. With that appetizer we decided to get celery instead of chips, the dish came out with at most 15 little pieces of celery. The broiled flounder is just disgusting. Wet and flavorless. Seafood pasta and venetian scallop pasta were just as bad as the flounder.

Restaurant impossible or the food inspector needs to check out this place. I am surprised they haven't been shut down. The smell is really bad and the place is filthy. We walked out before getting served. We talked to some people near us who didn't finish their meals. They refused to ask for a doggy bag. the food looked horrible. Hopefully the owner or manager reads these posts because this place could be so awesome due to the location and the historical value of the area and the building. If you are from out of the area, don't let the outside fool you.

Skip this place if you're in Skippack. Went here for lunch on Saturday because we got a coupon from a nearby business. The food and service was bland, the problem is the building itself and prices. For what we got and the quality of it, the food was very expensive, $15 for lunch with no drinks and a BOGO coupon is a little too much for me. We were seated on the porch area, which had a noticeable incline to it, so much so that my wife's water almost slid off the table. Dank, dark and musty spring to mind when I think about where we were seated, maybe the rest of the building is nicer but I'll never know. There seems to be a lot of wasted potential with this building and location.

Do not under any circumstances eat at this dump. Food is horrible, staff is rude and the place hasn't been cleaned in decades.

My partner and I stopped in Justin's Carriage House, while traveling down 73 in Skippack. The building itself is beautiful, and obviously dates back many decades. Once inside, it was very cramped, and very smokey, as the bar is immediately located inside the door. Despite this, I was impressed with the menu, it had several of my favorite dishes on it, As I love high quality executions of comfort foods, like steaks and chicken. I ordered french onion soup and the Chicken Parmigiana with Imported Linguini. A simple dish, but one that I typically really enjoy. The French onion soup was ok, but was very dark in color, almost black, including the onions. It definitely tasted as though the main ingredient was worcestershire sauce. Not terrible, but a little over-powering. The chicken parm, however, was the worst I've ever had. The chicken was very grainy, almost like a flounder texture, but it wasn't fishy tasting. The imported linguine was so saturated with water, that the sauce didn't even stick to it. It was mushy and tasteless. The garlic bread tasted soapy. I won't detail the men's room, but it rivals that of some dive bars I've visited in the alleys of Philly. This is the first 1 star review I've given, and I struggled with giving it 2, because I feel bad rating a place so low. However, the food here was just really terroble, and I ate very little of it. And that is rare, I'm the type of person that usually eats most of my meal, unless I really cannot stomach it.

Ive been going to Justins for at least 5 years. I was pleased up until my last experience. I ordered baby back ribs and they were very dry and overly cooked. I didn't enjoy them and may not ever order them again. I will be going back within the next week or so. Im hoping that the food will be good like my past experiences. I'll let you know.

Horrible. Don't go here. Waitresses smoke in front of youq and then touch food. Service sucks. Food is horrible. Beer wasn't even cold. They directed upstairs to us the bathroom because the on downstairs is broke. The upstairs looks like a dump. The bill was ridiculous for the slop I had to eat. Never again. If I could give it no stars I would.

Mehhh. My friend and I went for dinner at 7:30p on a Friday night. I got the crab cakes and she got a pasta dish. We were both very happy with our entrees for the most part. The "veggies" with my crab cakes were disappointing and slimy. I was expecting brocolli and carrots. I got onions, peppers and I am not even sure what the other thing was supposed to be. My decaf coffee tasted soapy. I have no idea where our waitress went. We sat for about 30 minutes waiting for her to take the check.

I am honestly surprised with the low reviews.... I like Justin's! They have an awesome outside area with cool music. The dining area is ok... I have had food a few times but don't recall it being bad... Also not spectacular. I like going there to hang out for a few beers on a Friday or Saturday nights.

We took the in-laws here for a dinner out on the weekend. I ate at Justin's a few times a while back but hadn't been here in over 5 years. The interior is nice enough, think old school pub - lots of brick, wooden chairs, some country flair. The food unfortunately appears to have gone seriously downhill in the years since I was last here. First off the food didn't look as though it had been prepared with much care, just like it had been thrown together and slapped on the plate. Secondly the food was just kind of mediocre in taste, you know, not bad but not that good either. For the price you're paying you'd expect things to be more than a few notches higher quality wise. The service was as spotty as the food. Our server wasn't miserable but certainly could have been a lot friendlier and was gone for long stretches, even though we were there late in the afternoon and the restaurant was mostly empty. Not sure what happened to this place but it's nothing like the Justin's Carriage House restaurant that my friends and I used to like to go to years ago for drinks and a good meal. With all the other restaurants that now fill the Skippack area Justin's really needs to improve.
