Ordered delivery from here for The Office connection and was pleasantly surprised. First, I did not have ANY issue with the delivery service, as is so frequently stated in these reviews. I ordered without issue and my food came promptly when they said it would. Onto the food... I ordered the square tray, thick crust pizza and while this is typically not my style it appeared as though they specialize in it so I went for it. I have to say, it was really quite good. The crust was absolutely perfect... a nice chew on the inside with a really crispy, buttery, golden outside. The sauce was also really tasty and I wished they put more on it. The cheese was uniquely melty in a way I couldn't quite put my finger on, but in a good way nonetheless. The only real issue I had with the pizza, and the only reason it lost a star, is that the sausage was COMPLETELY tasteless. I wouldn't have noticed there was sausage on my pizza if not for the texture as I was eating, and a pulled of a few pieces to try on their own and literally tasted nothing. That shouldn't be. So, Alfredo's, if you're reading... put more of that delicious sauce on your pizzas and season your sausage!

I went to Alfredo's for dinner while visiting family in the area. A hostess seated us immediately. We sat outside of the restaurants (a few tables are on the walkway). We order a double crust cheese pizza (two layers of dough stuffed with cheese & onions) and square pepperoni pizza. I thought the double crust pizza was decent. It's very cheesy with good flavor from the onions. My favorite pizza was Alfredo's square pepperoni pizza. The sauce and dough was good. Alfredo's cheese is really flavorful. It's the best part of Alfredo's square pizza in my opinion. Service was average at best. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. There's plenty of parking for customers. Alfredo's has an extensive cocktail menu. Alfredo's Pizza Cafe is a solid choice for square pizza/drinks.

Slow night at the restaurant yet it still took over 50 minutes for the food to come out. Place has potential but it's old school. Net necessarily in a good way.

We went here after my Grandmother's funeral so we were a large party of 30+. I was a little concerned after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The service was great. The food was excellent and plentiful. I was amazed at how large the ceased salad, pretzel chicken, chicken Marsala etc. we're. There was more than enough God to go around. If you order a small pizza, don't think it is just for one. I joked that it was a Papa John's large. The only downside that I saw, and I am a pizza snob, is that they do not use fresh mushrooms on their pizza. I would highly recommend. The food came out fairly quickly and they were very attentive to the entire party. The other negative reviews do not do this place justice.

You get a good experience with the staff if you sit at the bar or dine at a table. But if you call for takeout, the woman who answers is surly and unpleasant. Then when you go to pick-up, she behaves the same way.....and the greatest irony is that she has a tip jar prominently displayed. Based on the bad experience, I always feel like I should get a chance to dip into the tips. I strongly suspect that she is part of the owner's family.....why else would they keep her.

Food is average for the the type of place it is. Pizza is very good and they have a variety of choices if you are adventurous although some of the ones with additions such as chicken, can have a stale flavor if the toppings are not fresh. Wings are so, so, but the salads are very good. I note a comment here from someone using the bar area. That is a concern I have heard from others local to the area. I've heard stories where locals will take their business peers there when visiting the Scranton Area on business and they are made to feel very welcome by their bartending staff.

Alfredo's is what home tastes like to me. I grew up in Scranton and now live in Pittsburgh. My big brother introduced me to Alfredo's 20 years ago. Thick, crispy, and chewy crust. Amazing mix of cheeses that are so creamy. Tangy sauce. Pepperoni and sausage and extra cheese - yum!. And a bar! And take-out beer! What more can you ask for? Okay, so they're slow. Okay, so their service is not the best at the tables. So they lose a star. But the food,man... the pizza is a must every time I visit home. Three tray minimum for takeout. That way you don't have to put up with the spotty service. In from out of town? Do what I do. Get it par-baked. Then put it on ice for the trip home. Put it on a heavy baking pan and pop it in the oven. Now get out there and eat!

I normally get take out, but this time we ate in. OK it was Mothers Day, But we called the day before and had reservations. We arrived a bit early thinking this place wax going to be crazy like all other restaurants are on Mothers Day, it was busy ish. There were plenty of open tables and one large group. We were seated in a very reasonable amount of time, then we continued to sit there for about 10-15 minutes with out a waitress coming over to even take a drink order. A waiter walked past us two or three times and I made eye contact, hoping to get some service. This did not work. I then went up to the bar and polity said we had been sitting at our table for about 15 minutes an have yet to place our drink order. After I sat at our table for a few more minutes 3 or 4 waitresses come into the room and all began to clean one table and talk to each other. This was very rude as we had still not been waited on. After they left and returned my fiance had to go up to them and again ask for a waitress. Finally we were waited on, but she was a little rude and short with us. Pardon us for coming into a restaurant expecting service. Sorry to pry you away from your riveting conversation. After we asked to be waited on twice and delt with the rude waitress, we were content for the rest of our meal. The food was good, as it always is, but the service it not. I recommend you get take out when you deside to try Alfredo's.

Service stinks and so does the restrooms waiting 45 min for a tray of pizza. And it wasn't busy. Much better pizza restaurants in the area

Great food, but a very rude and unhelpful staff behind the to-go counter. The waitresses seemed nice.

Very good pizza!! I ordered the pan pizza with pepperoni. It was really tasty. I love how the cheese melts in your mouth! I only ordered the half tray which was plenty enough, 6 cuts total which is perfect for one REALLY hungry person or two hungry people. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were fantastic. The stuffing was italian sausage I believe and it was phenomenal!! I will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu!!

My favorite restaurant in Scranton! I love it here so much. The barbecue chicken pizza is amazing. Love the garlic breadsticks, rice pilaf, Fettuccine Alfredo, steak fries, and chicken tenders. My best friend and I eat here a lot. Convenient location, good hours, nice martini selection - and tasty! The only thing is that sometimes, the service is slow. But it has been pretty good the last few times I visited.

I made reservations for a Friday night at 615 pm. Upon arrival, the business owner told my fiancé and I that we could not keep our reservation because there were too many people there. Clearly they need to learn how to manage their business better. Everytime we go the service is extremely slow and the food is mediocre. After the experience I just had, I will never go back there again.

Quick business get together. Sat at the bar and ordered a wrap, boss had a hamburger. Both were ok. Nothing special but not bad. Typical bar foods. I've come on several occasions here as the location is convenient. Mostly I would order pizza and their pizza is very good. Overall, a good choice.

This was easily the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Not even just the pizza, the overall experience. Kid shows up and it's a $23 pie. I hand him a 10 and a 20 and ask for 5 bucks back. "Ohhh uhhhh... I didn't bring any change." I wound up having to give him the whole 30. Total scam. Then I got the pizza inside. What in the HELL, man? These people should be in prison for this. Pizza vandalism, culinary assault, something. Newsflash: you don't melt slices of American cheese on a pizza and sell it to people. What is wrong with you? Runny and oogy and just disgusting. It smelled like feet. And the "sausage" was long strips of pepperoni. 3 of them about the size of my pinky. On the whole pie. The crust looked like it was a frozen crust. It was 10:55 when I got the pizza and by the time I called they were closed. When I called the next day I tried to be as polite as possible to get my money back. The woman on the phone was completely horrible and hung up after telling me I "couldn't prove anything" and I was "shit out of luck." SERIOUSLY? I not only will never eat here again, I'll be actively campaigning to have this place shut down and something more useful put in its place. Like a mostly empty parking lot with just one out of order Porta-john in it. It would probably smell better.

Food is decent as far as hoagies and some of the meals are concerned. The square pizza is aweful,it's topped with a mix of gooey disgusting cheese and tons of onions Service is mediocre but the owner's girlfriend who is scantly dressed and half is age gives the place a trashy ambiance with her PDA's as she was allover the old man.

Choose Square or Round Pizza: Do you like thin and crispy New York style? Order Round Or do you like overly thick crust with sweet sauce? Order Square. I like round... It was decent here

    (3)
  • Kimberly B.

I love Alfredo's! I come here for the square cut pizza and they never fail me. The crust is always perfect, the sauce is delicious, and the cheese is melted bliss. Yes, the square pizza is "different" than other pizza. If you don't like it, then order the round pizza and be done with it. Yes, the food takes a little longer, but it's worth the wait.

Great food! The pizza is fantastic and is pretty well priced. I do have to admit though that service can be hit or miss (although to be fair I usually have good experiences) however on occasion I have gotten a very slow server and at least once that I can recall the server was short with me (simply for asking for the check AGAIN after 25 minutes of waiting for it after the first time I asked). I will come back again though of course - just will avoid that server like the plague!

I love the justification for food consumption that my short lived food blog provided. On a Tuesday, I called my friend Rose and said, "I need to eat somewhere awesome so I can update the blog". Early on in my Scranton life Rose was a great resource for food in Scranton- but I insisted that it needed to be somewhere new to me! The following is a (not so brief) recap of my Alfredo's experience. We started a haphazard cruise and saw a little Mexican joint on Cedar that was illuminated by a curious blue light, but when the lady inside showed us a day old "buffet" consisting primarily of beef gruel, I mumbled something about not eating meat and moved on. Thank goodness that Rose remembered Alfredo's! Alfredo's is located in South Side, right on North Washington. Thank goodness it was close, because I am generally unpleasant when I'm hungry. Visually, it's a nice place- a pretty outdoor eating patio, with plenty of (artificial?) foliage to create a little space from the road. Upon entering the restaurant, the bartender checked us out- and then ignored us.... and then another server looked up and quickly looked down and... walked away. I was actually surprised she didn't hold her hand up to hide her face. Eventually (and I do mean in no less than 5 minutes) someone came and sat us. We ordered a tasty appetizer as soon as possible- An oven roasted butternut squash with sage pasta, and a sinfully sweet brown sugar brandy cream sauce with walnuts. It was as good as it sounds- the sauce especially worked well- the touch of brandy added a rich note to the sauce, while still allowing the other flavors room to work their magic. For our meals Rosaleen ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, and I ordered gnocchi with pesto sauce. Rosaleen's salad was a large portion, and the dressing was a traditional Caesar. My gnocchi portion was humongous and delicious! Rather than a thick pesto sauce that seems favored by some of the other Italian eatery's I've visited locally, this sauce was light while still flavorful. The gnocchi were also cocked correctly- which ultimately means that yes, I gorged myself. Rosaleen's husband Michael joined us about halfway through the meal- and thankfully they both helped me with my meal. The good things: They're open late on week nights and the pasta dishes are tasty and highly recommended, the lighting and ambiance are all well done. The bad: On this particular night, the service was disappointing. Our server forgot my salad, served me clearly burnt coffee and the bowl of soup we ordered for Michael ended up being a cup. I can and often do excuse a server for silly mistakes, because I served for nearly 15 years and we all have those nights- it isn't a life crisis. However, what did put a bad taste in my mouth was that although they are open late, the waitstaff made it clear they'd prefer not to be. Still- that butternut squash was pretty outrageous.

I was doing work in Southside Scranton and wanted to eat. The place was close and I didn't want fast food. The place is dark. Since I eat alone a lot, I generally read the paper. It's not usually a problem. It was very difficult to read in here as the place is poorly lit. The service was slow. It was a slow Monday, so they can't blame it on being busy. I ordered veal parm. The sauce was uninspired. And the pasta was nothing special. Probably since I couldn't see anything in the dark, my other senses were working harder. I know a bunch of better Italian restaurants. When I want Italian, this won't be my choice again.

The pizza here is great, but like others have mentioned, the service is terrible. I recently ordered take out from here and even that service is awful. The person in front of me came to pick up her pizza, but the person waiting on her said someone already got it. Obviously they gave the wrong item to the wrong customer. She didn't apologize and had a flippant attitude about the situation. I enjoyed my food, but the ordeal for the other customer will make me think twice about ordering from here.

This is a great Italian restaurant with indoor or outdoor seating (weather dependent). Salmon is some of the best I have eaten so is the tuna. Pasta is cooked just right, not mushy at all.

The eat in only pizza special is great. Kind of pricey so we don't normally go here too often. The pasta is pretty good as well. We always get this one older gentleman waiting our table and he is awesome.

I am kind of surprised to see such bad reviews of this place. I have lived - well, all over, and everytime I am home I come here with my parents. Their square pizza is by far my favorite pizza, ever! It has a great sweet sauce and an ooey gooey mixture of cheese on top. I agree- service isn't the best and takeout is SLOW, but I will still go back everytime I'm home!

AWFUL SERVICE! The people who work there act like you are doing them a disservice by giving them business. Whether you eat in or take out there is a 90% chance you will run into some kind of awful customer service. The lady who answers the phone is horribly rude and hates the world. The waiter/waitress' forget you sat down (sometimes a few times per visit). The food saves this business because the workers are about as bad as it can possibly get. WORD TO ALFREDOS WORKERS: CUSTOMERS ARE THE REASON YOU HAVE JOBS!

Was there last weekend had a group of 9 and got there around 5:00. We were seated immediately which was great since we had no reservations. The waitress was friendly and we ordered antipasto and buffalo wings and pizza. We got both round and square trays. All they food was very good. The balsamic dressing was very sweet. The pizza there is great. Their round is more traditional pizza style. The square was amazing. The cheese blend is very good and I usually like a lot of sauce but this pizza doesn't have much sauce but is better than most traditional pizzas. Their sausage is very good as well. I highly recommend this place for pizza. I'd bet the other food is great but I always go with a home run and that's the pizza.

I was not happy with my experience here. I came on a busy night, valentines day, my chicken order was 1/2 raw. I guess it says a lot about the rest of the meal that I didn't notice til I was half done but still very off putting. I should have just got the pizza, I hear it's pretty good. Update: Called for delivery, the person answering the phone was very rude. Needless to say I cancelled the order and pretty much will never give them business again

For a pizza place located in a strip mall, this place is a class act and delicious to boot. I once got drunk off of martinis in the middle of the day there, too! Not only is their square yumtastic (the first type I've had there) but surprisingly their round is also very good. Nothing beats the crazy cheese combination and thick crunch bread combo of the Sicilian, though. So I'd stick with that if I were you. The outdoor seating allows you to watch people park their cars to go to one of the many other establishments, like to a Chinese food place or dollar store or H&R Block. I wouldn't order out from this place. Did it once, and it took 90 years* to get my two trays. And I was driving in from Olyphant to get it, so it wasn't like I showed up 5 minutes later expecting my food. It's pretty much a cluster in there at night, so avoid that. *exaggeration

My boyfriend and I went to the restaurant for a late dinner. We ordered wraps, and apparently the table next to us also ordered wraps, as when their order was delivered....it came to our table. We thought the wraps we ours and tasted them...but they weren't ours & the waitress retuned to ask us if we received the correct wraps. We sent our wraps, with bites out of them, back to the kitchen to retrieve our correct wraps. After they delivered the correct ones, I noticed that the kitchen rearranged our first wraps, with the bite out of it, and served them to the table next to us. We brought it to their attention that our bite was in it. Then, the pizza we ordered to go came out & it was only a half tray ( we ordered a whole) AND the toppings were incorrect! I asked to speak with the manager & when I explained that it wasn't just the pizza - told the story of the wraps - she seemed completely complacent and unconcerned. They gave us a free half tray of party cut plain to take home - which definitely didn't make up for the nonchalant attitude of the manager! I seriously hope the girls that were served the half eaten wraps got more than that! Sad part - the food was actually really good, I just wonder if another customer had their fingers in it first! Amendment to my previous review - the FREE pizza for our troubles... Was burnt - probably one they couldn't sell so they thought they could save some face with it - very poor management skills!

I came here purely for the connection to "The Office", only expecting better than "a hot circle of garbage". When I visited, the restaurant was nearly empty (1:00 on a Saturday). I ordered the thin crust, which wasn't as thin as I expected (think Domino's, Little Caesars) and tasted amazing. Great food, but it was at least half an hour before I got my food. Slow service, nice staff, great food. Would visit again.

Every time I go to this place there's a problem, it seems. Up until this point, nothing major: Missing place settings, forgotten drink orders, drink order mix-ups, an excessive amount of time waiting to be served, etc. No biggie. All typical of any restaurant, I suppose, but very consistent with said issues. My problem with Alfredo's isn't the food, but rather, the staff. The majority of their staff are inexperienced and some are downright rude. A few months ago my friends and I sat at the bar for cocktail hour and pizza. Right off the bat I could tell something was wrong with our bartender. Mentally. She spoke to customers in "baby-voice" and made really loud, really bad jokes. We just brushed it off as "oh well, she's just quirky." --Keep in mind this bartender was a woman in her late-40's, early 50's. Speaking to customers in baby-talk. Bizarre. When it came time to pay the bill she charged my friend for 3 martini's when she only ordered two. When my friend questioned the discrepancy, this lunatic of a bartender didn't even double check it, she just said "no, you ordered 3." When I chimed in that she should check the computer register input, she proceded to tear up my friend's receipt and say "if you have a problem with our system, you can leave!" She then proceded to YELL IN MY FACE " We don't want people like you here anyway!!" and made a scene telling the whole bar that we were trying to get free drinks!! I was never so mortified. Not only did we order a large tray of pizza and wings, we also ordered beer and martini's (it was a group of four). If we had no problem paying for our meal and drinks, why in the world would we try to steal a martini?? Unreal, Embarrassing, AND a downright lie. We approached the manager and she didn't even defend this lunatic of a bartender's behavior. Her explanation was: "You know, sometimes she likes to yell at people and make fun of them. I'll talk to her." REALLY?!?!?! And you still keep someone like that staffed??? All the manager did was offer to refund my friend the $5 cash for the martini and said "next time don't sit at the bar." NO THANKS, ALFREDO'S. Never again. And I mean ever. And I've told EVERYONE I KNOW about my horrific experience here. BEWARE.

Drinks from the bar took forever to come, and by the time it did come the martini was not super chilled like ordered. Food was ok, nothing over fabulous to write home about. Salads are big and can be split. If you're looking for atmosphere you def. won't get it in this strip mall location. If you need a bite and your close by, you will get a decent affordable meal.

Walked in and the waitress seated us . She was rude right from the get go . We were seated in the back of the restaurant and could smell the bathrooms. . So we moved our seat . When we only order soup and wings she even had more of an attitude . So the bottom line I'm paying money to have a middle aged waitress have an attitude with me and my two kids. So soup arrived , sausage vegetable there were 3 piecese of sausage in the bowl of soup. My kids had the wings they were tasty but cold . Will never be back .

Im from New York and you know we dont play with our pizza. My Mom was born and raised in Scranton and most of my family is still there so I go in a lot to spend time with them. I can safely say that I have never ever liked any kind of pizza outside of NY- they say its something about the water, but that all changed when I had Alfredo's pizza. I always make sure that I have some when Im visiting my mom but if theres no time for it I bring a pie (sorry you guys call it "trays") home- my mom has also been known to bring me some when she visits NY on the weekends! Most of the time Ill order it and bring it home, the reviews about the service is true- they are very slow and not the greatest- but coming from NYC and being rushed at all times, I sometimes welcome being in a restaurant and not being rushed out of the place even before my meal is over. Im sorry I cant review any other dishes because other than the pizza Im not interested. I do prefer the square tray over the round- not sure why but the round one just tastes different.

Had reservations here with my wife at 5:30 one night and came to restaurant that turned out to be crowded but we had a reservation so I assumed we'd have no problem... Wrong. The Asian seating manager told us they didn't have room and we'd have to wait 30-45 min for a table and time we reserved for! It was crazy. She didn't even ask us nicely either just a firm telling us how it is. I could see maybe waiting a little time to have to wait but not that long. We left and never went back. Horrible service!!

This restaurant should only serve pizza, because it's the only thing they are good at. The waitress was inexperienced and we waited a long time. We waited and received our minuscule salads, bread, and appetizer almost right in top of each other. I ordered a glass of wine which they serve you as an empty glass and the wine in a small decanter. The amount of wine in the decanter was less than half the serving of wine at other restaurants. My companions ordered water which they said tasted like "toilet water." Our appetizers arrived only shortly before our meals. The mild boneless wings were actually pretty tasty, but that was the only part of the meal that was. I ordered veal francaise and was extremely disappointed. There were multiple lemon seeds in the sauce and the veal was unseasoned. They lightly bread the veal and parts of the breading were burnt. The only good part of my entree was the steamed broccoli. For the prices charged I expect a much higher quality than what was presented. I will only order take out pizza from there from now on. If you want a nice local sit down dinner that isn't pizza, go somewhere else.

I love their pizza but I'm not sure if I'll ever return. The service is so slow and they have like no good beer at the bar although they sell good beer to carry out. I thought that I would try delivery and see if it was any faster, but the first time I waited an hour and they forgot my salad and the second time we called in an hour and they had forgotten to deliver our food, so it just sat there. They remade the order and delivered it but we didn't get any kind of deal or credit for the problem. Oh well.

I have visited Alfredo's numerous times since my last review over two years ago. The food quality has been good every time. As I now only sit in the bar area the service has been excellent. I visited again on 10/29/12. The food and service were both excellent. The bartender, Donya, was very friendly. Maybe a little too friendly for the taste of the owner's current drunken girlfriend. Let me explain, three of my friends and I were sitting at the bar, we each ordered a dinner. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, which was very good. Others had gnocci and a veal dish, and they were pleased with their choices and one friend ate nothing and only came for drinks. We finished eating and stayed for a few more beers (well maybe more than a few, what the hell it was in the middle of Hurricane Sandy and most of us didn't have work the next morning.) Like I said, the bartender was very friendly, as are my friends and I, and we laughed and joked and had some fun. Well, the owner and his Tipsy Tart were also sitting at the bar a few seats away. The girlfriend certainly kept the bartender busy, if you know what I mean. So we were having some fun with Donya and apparently the Pickled Paramour DID NOT LIKE IT AT ALL. I heard her say something to the bartender about "your friends down there" and demanded, "I want to see a print-out of their bill!" She was convinced that we were friends of Donya and came in for free booze. For the record, neither I, nor any of my friends knew her at all, though I had seen her waiting tables at Alfredo's before. Donya obliged and printed the bill. I certainly don't know why because the Boozed-up Bimbo is not employed by the restaurant nor will she be the last in a long string of younger attractive women seen at the owner's side. The bill print-out was somewhere in the neighborhood of $95. Ok, so 3 dinners in the $11-$16 range and $1.50 draft beers and we racked it all the way up to 95 bucks, and somehow we got something for free? She made quite a scene and I was very insulted over the whole ordeal. Due to her asinine antics the owner did start yelling at his Plastered Prized Pet and dragged her drunken derriere out of the restaurant, but never offered an apology. Donya did apologize for the scene, and we ordered a few more drinks, paid our $112 bill and left.

Alfredo's has the worst service I've experienced in Scranton. The food is ok, not the best but far from the worst. (I used to be quite a fan of white pizza.) The problem being (as has been mentioned by others.) the horrible service. Can't tolerate eating there, really spotty service. Can't pick up, they are off on their estimated times frequently. Honestly, to me, their worst service is in their delivery. In my experience, you've got about a 50/50 chance of them screwing up your order in some way. Late. Forgotten. Late. Goofed up the order. Very late. The final straw was when they forgot my order, so I call when it is 45-50 minutes late, and they say it's not forgotten, it's on its way. Delivery guy shows up 20 minutes later with SOMEONE ELSE'S ORDER. Long story short, he comes back 5 minutes later swaps the orders and...wait for it...they had screwed up my order anyway. They didn't apologize once, nor did they offer to discount the food a nickel. They get two stars because their food was ok when I ever got it above room temperature. Nuts to them, I'll never eat their food again. Good luck if you do!

Their pizza is really good. Their breadsticks are terrible. Their martinis are good. Their prices are high. It's a nice atmosphere. It's just okay overall.

We decided to eat here the night before we ran the Steamtown Marathon. I read the reviews about the resturant and decided a little wait wasn't bad and at least the food would be descent. Well, it had to be the worst service ever! (And the food was adequate at best.) The service was beyond slow-- 45min for our salad and another hour for our pasta after threatening to leave. The only thing wrose then the wait was the manager who came over and told us that we should "expect" to wait because it was like this every year and every weekend. We could not figure out why (a) someone would admit to that and (b) why they wouldn't do something about it. Apparently they think it's okay to make their customers wait over 1.5hrs to get pasta with meat sauce and pizza....

I have had Alfredo's several times and their pizza is unreal. Hands down one of my favorite square pizzas at a reasonable price. The sauce and the cheese are amazing, not to mention that this pizza fills you up! Have a couple slices and you are full, they are also very quick with orders. I place an order for a pizza and it is ready very quickly. Definitely a hidden gem in a crappy strip mall location!

Every time i order from this place i only get my favorite, double crust white pizza with mushrooms. Sad thing is i usually have to wait like an hour to get it. But other than that, i recommend it to anyone

I love and miss Alfredo's Square pizza with sausage. I grew up getting take out, and as they grew and put in a more comfortable restaurant, dining in. Now that I no longer live in the Scranton area, my fiancee and I count the days until we can make it back to Scranton and Alfredo's. my mom brings me pizza every time she comes to visit. I don't know if we'd allow her through the door without it.

Some of the best goopy cheese old forge style awesome pizza in Scranton, but they also have New York style for those who are difficult. Lots of martinis if you like that sort of thing. Outside seating, but it looks out ont the parking lot and McDonald's which is kind of hilarious

The service was perfectly adequate. The salad was too. The pizza? While I wouldn't describe it as the "hot circle of garbage" served at Pizza by Alfredo, we got the white "Pizza Alfredo Plus" with chicken. I understand why that pizza is eat in only--there isn't anything sticking it to the crust with the greasy alfredo sauce and piles of cheese; the toppings would definitely slide right off in a car. It was the kind of thing that made us feel like we were putting our bodies (hearts) under assault and didn't taste good enough to do that. The chicken was rubbery cubes on top (definitely not as good as Trader Joe's packaged precooked stuff). The spinach on it was good, so I picked that off. More cheese and fat is not the answer to every recipe question.
