We were told by a friend that this was the place to go. He was right. We both got the mushroom cheesesteak and it was superb. Being from DC, I have never had a steak sammie with a red sauce on it. I was afraid it would over power the meat and mushroom taste, but I was completely wrong. It was delish. The fries are good and the staff is super cheerful. Definitely going back if I ever make it to Reading again.

Here's a tip: if you have a lot of people to feed (like, more than four), go somewhere else. This is a great little place, but the emphasis is on "little." We ordered seven cheesesteaks and fries, and an order that size clearly overwhelmed them. They can only manage to make about three sandwiches at once. By the time the last sandwich was done, the first few were cold. The fries sat out for who knows how long, and were stone cold when we got them. Just not a good experience, and definitely not worth $74. Nice guys, though, for what it's worth.

My co-workers and I order yesterday from this place is the 1st time I try them im very picky with my sandwiches, but this one made it to the order right on point, delicious and im actually ordering today again for my family, 2 thumbs up! Fresh ham and cheese on a nice fresh roll! french fries were like home made and with a good taste.

Hands down the best cheese steak in Reading! I love this place. their sandwiches are fresh and made with fine ingredients. The staff is nice too. There is room to sit in the place or you can carry out. I got a cheese steak with American cheese and onions. They put a little bit of red sauce on top of the sandwich which is a bit different than a traditional cheese steak but its worth it. It compliments the meat and melted cheese great. They are closed Sundays and Mondays so make sure you don't waist your time on those days. Also the neighbor hood is not too safe after dark so make sure you call your order in and just pick up rather than eat in.

I'm from Reading, but going to school in Philly for the last few years has afforded me the opportunity to sample many cheesesteaks. Forget Pat's and Geno's, got to Santo's! Santo's is cheaper, has a friendlier atmosphere, and the food is better! Every time I get a cheesesteak at Santo's it is juicy, flavorful, and delicious!
