Issac's began in Lancaster in the 80s and now has 20 restaurants in 6 counties. So it is a chain but a small local one. A nice alternative to a diner with its light and bright colors, Issac's offers a wide array of salads and sandwiches cutely named for birds. They seem to do a lot of takeout business too. Sadly, I don't find much for vegans unless I request a lot of changes, which I am loath to do (since I don't want to seem high maintenance in front of colleagues or hassle the server). I used to love their vegetarian broccoli salad, which is unusual in that it does not have bacon. I wrote to the company about expanding the choices and received a very nice personal, enthusiastic response, and they seem to be getting much better at offering gluten-free choices. The pretzel rolls are now vegan, btw. I loved being able to buy a dill pickle for a quarter. I know the company is nice about offering coupons and was kind to the Spring Township Library, which is in the same upscale shopping plaza.

Places where you can go and always find something. I love it here, it's always an amazing experience with the service and the great food! I have been going here since I was young and love my experiences. The only thing I worry of is that I don't know what to get, when in doubt, just go with their pepperjack tomato soup. It's to die for!

The best thing about Isaac's is that they are consistently good. The worst thing about Isaac's is that they are consistently good. You can certainly count on getting a good sandwich and soup, but that's about as far as it goes. Isaac's is one of those places that I like having in the area, but if it disappeared, I would only shed a small tear. I've probably been to various Isaac's delis 25 times in the last 15 years, and I really enjoy the pretzel sandwiches, and they make excellent condiments, pickles, and use fresh veggies. The biggest knock on quality for me would be the meats - which sometimes seem mushy and flavorless. The best part of the meal would be the dish of pickled veggies you get. I want to give Isaac's 4 stars, but I can't quite get there. The place has decent prices, is great for kids, and has good service. Try it and you won't be disappointed..

This place is really good. Fresh Healthy ingredients in a relaxed setting. Biggest reason to go to Isaac's is the pretzel sandwich's, the rose of sharon and the mexican sunflower are both tasty. Great spot to eat on the lighter side and leave feeling satisfied and refreshed. Good job Isaac's

Classic deli sandwiches with funky names. Food and service are always good, even if the prices are a little high.

So, we had been to the Isaac's out in Strasburg years ago and overall it was a bad. Mediocre overpriced food coupled with inattentive crap service equaled an experience that I vowed never to repeat again. But, when people are hungry and you know that it's a prime dinner time so that most normal choices are going to be crazy busy you need to go off the grid which in Wyomissing would be coming to this Isaac's. The first thing that is noteworthy is that I feel it's safe to say that coming here on a weekend should be a slam dunk in terms of getting seated right away. They're located mostly around a lot of offices all of which are closed on the weekends which equals that by five o'clock everything with the exception of Isaac's, a nail place and a cupcake place are also closed in the strip mall where the restaurant is located. Everything was decent in terms of being seated right away as the place was maybe half-full a little after five on a Saturday. No issues during our visit with plates being cleared or in the time it took for the food to hit the table. As for menu: it's a bit bizarre, confusing and still overpriced. The kids' menu even admitted by our server "S" is confusing and poorly laid out. The whole pick one selection for one price and pick two for another price is dumb and unnecessarily complicated. Also their idea of portion size is a bit off as well. Telling people that a single portion is for five and under is nothing more than a great way to try and get people to spend more money for a double portion when that is only going to equal a lot of food and a lot of money as six plus dollars for a few carrots and two Kraft Easy Mac packets is extortion. The adult meals were decent with the Cormorant and the Magpie. The prices for these are a bit more in line but even then over nine dollars for a little bit of chicken, spinach and bacon on a flatbread seems a bit much. The decor of the restaurant is flat out ugly as it looks like could have fit right into the same space in around 1988 with the bright pastels and kitschy decor. I was half expecting Crockett & Tubbs to walk in for their take out Cuban sandwiches. Clearly Issac's has a following as the chain has been around for thirty plus years although I truly don't understand the appeal. The food to me is nothing special, the decor is awful and the prices are very high for what you get. The best thing I can say for them is that they're not bad. But at the same time they're not good either.

I have been a loyalty member and loyal customer for years. My family and I have been eating at Isaac's a couple of times a month for a very long time, but recently everything about it has gone downhill. Our last visit will be our last ever as they have increased the prices while decreasing the portions so much that my husband and I just paid $9 each for a sandwich so small it was completely gone in 4 bites. My 3 year old had more to eat than I did. So now after spend over $40 on dinner we are off to another restaurant to eat something.

Found this cool place by accident. This place has some great sandwiches and salads. The staff is very friendly.

We have been to this particular Isaac's a half dozen times or so in the last 3 years. My wife keeps getting coupons from work for donating blood. On this occasion though we had a small problem with my wife's meal. In less than 30 seconds the manager was at our table fixing the issue! Or so we thought! Manager said he would take care of my wife's meal and give her her next sandwich free. So when the bill came he actually only took care of her sandwich (plus the future freebie) The problem is we already had given our coupon for a free sandwich to our server. So now instead of us getting my cheaper sandwich free we got my wife's more expensive (by $2.00) sandwich free. So all the manager did was give us a $2 discount on our meal. For having a HAIR on my wife's plate! My wife has a mental list of the places we will no longer dine at for one reason or another. She was sooo close to adding this place, but I think I convinced her not to...the Pepperjack Tomato soup is too good to put this place on the list for a first time offense. I know most of you would be done with this place, it was an eyelash, on the side of the plate, not touching any food! Yes it's gross! But I really like that soup! I had some parrot named sandwich. It was Corned Beef on Pumpernickel with slaw and red onion. I had swapped the Munster for swiss. It was really good. They also have great deli salads. We had the Almond Tortellini and the Sesame Asian Noodles with carrot and fresh cilantro. Both really good. My wife had the crab cake sandwich special which she made some changes to. She wanted the toppings on the pretzel sandwich but with french bread roll instead. Even though the issue on her plate changed the atmosphere during the meal, she ate the majority of her sandwich. Not finishing because she was full. I would still recommend this place. One infraction, even though it was gross, will not change my mind about this place. Would have been 5 stars if not for the issue we had!!

Ok where have I been eating; not here! I cannot believe this great sandwich joint wasn't on my radar. Thank goodness for Yelp when looking for something different. Although it is a chain/franchise it's great service, choices and atmosphere for a stop mall! Definitely on our local short list especially on a Sunday for lunch after church! You can't beat the prices for table service.

Good homemade soups and nice variety of sandwiches. Have gluten free flat bread kids meal deal is amazing. For only &6,29 they can choose 2 kids entrees, a side, a drink & a dessert.

I love Isaac's! I have never had a bad meal at this place ever. The service is as good as the food. Waitstaff is always friendly and serve with a smile. I am a big fan of this place. One of the most important things I notice is the cleanliness. The staff is always doing something to ensure the place is clean.

Ordered three sandwiches for take out... when we got home and looked at them, the lettuce was soooo bad and old, it was almost at the slim point. Did not eat them. Never saw a sandwich shop sell anything that bad!!!

Great sandwiches, and you can't beat the "speckled (strawberry) lemonade"! Recommend getting the pretzel roll regardless of the sandwich you choose. There are gluten-free and vegetarian options, and you can choose a side salad, applesauce, or baby carrots instead of chips (baked chips are also available).

After my time working in Manhattan and NJ., it is great to find a great solid deal like this. In NYC, they use words like devilish, delightful, and delectable to describe the food and calls service mind reading (Zagat). The truth is that the food is average, and most of it can be bettered by a nice little restaurant in Nebraska where they are using grandma's treasured recipes, and amazing service means they actually check on how the food is before half of it is gone and they manage a half-smile. So, it is truly awesome to find a place like Isaac's! Huge portions, very fresh and just plain damn good food. It is also a very clean little restaurant; not at all what you would expect of a "deli." I went 3 times in 2 weeks after finding it. The service has been extremely friendly, neighborly, and attentive without hovering. My waitress was Katie and I do not recall the other. This has been a great change from life in Jersey.

I have to agree with everything yelper Greg has said about Isaacs. It's a good, solid lunch- and it always goes down easily- yet I can't get excited when it's suggested as a meal detination. I can't really say why. We generally visit Isaacs of Ephrata, but today we stopped in to celebrate Grandpa's birthday, and this was the most convenient location. We did wait a few minutes for a table of 7, but considering it was Sunday at 12:45, I shouldn't be surprised. I'll give a a pass on the seating time. I'm not sure if they take reservations or not, but in retro, it would have helped. Everyone seemed to like the food ordered. I had the flaming buffalo chicken wrap, wife had a cheesesteak, and kids had various kids' meals. It was all good...no complaints,as always. No bragging, either. I forget what the grandparents had, but everyone went away happy. Speed of service was good, and our waitress kept the drinks refilled and the checkups frequent. No complaints here. It is also appreciated that it is quite a kid-friendly establishment. Kids are offered a small bag of goldfish to hold them over, and crayons, fun placemats, and about 10 kids meals are offered on the menu. Plus, the live fish are always a hit. I just can't figure why I can't get more enthused about Isaacs. Maybe it's familiarity, or just taking a good meal for granted. I guess it's like a Honda; it just works well, is reliable, does it's job well, and is utilitarian...but you don't appreciate it until it finally lets you down. Its strength is its weakness. There's a wonderful compliment in there somewhere, I believe...

LOVE!!! This is one of my favorite sandwich places. Their menu is extensive and can be overwhelmed if you do not have something particular in mind that you want. I have tried a few different sandwiches but my favorite is the Rainbow Parrot. The coleslaw is delicious, and add the perfect amount of crunch. Also, the Tomato soup is a must. I have ordered out and sat in. The service is decent, and I prefer eating in.

I love this chain! Whenever I'm in PA, I have to stop at one of their locations and enjoy a Doc Brown's Cherry Soda and the Scarlet Ibis sandwich. Perfect lunch!

I have been a customer of Isaac's for many years. One of the reasons I keep going back are their Reuben Sandwiches. Today I ordered one and I was SO disappointed. It was served on light brown bread and the corn beef was NOT up to standards. It almost tasted like ham. Whatever you changed with the ingredients needs to be taken back to the original items. I feel like I never have to go back.
