High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Okay. It's Applebee's. It is what it is, and I'm not about to change it. But when my parents stop by with me in tow, it would be delightful to have an option besides hot tea. Just one dish not smothered in meat and cheese - is that so much to ask? A veggie burger topped with guac, a simple pasta dish, or a vegetable stirfry would delight me endlessly. For now, this is not a restaurant for me. The service is fine, my family likes it, so I'm sure I'll be back, sipping tea.

Went to lunch with a work colleague. The server was overwhelmingly attentive. It was to the point where she was interrupting us every 8 minutes. It's lunch, soup and salad, two professional looking adults and not a table with small children- We Don't Need That Much Attention... Yikes! We don't care for the automatic payment machine on our table. Keep people employed and stop replacing humans with machines. Please.

Me and my friends went here (we are all servers) and it was about 13 of us. The girl came to the table flustered, and she only had one other 2 top. She was in a rush when it came time to put our food in, and told us she had to go say hi to her other table and walked away (rude) when she got back we requested a new server, because she clearly couldn't handle a party our size. So then we got Billy. And he was great! This time we went and the whole party wasn't there. The server (ali) says to the table "is the rest of your party coming soon, because we close at 12" as a server we NEVER mention the time of closing with the greet because right away it makes us feel rushed. The entrees came out right on top of the appetizers, we didn't get silent refills on our drinks. I don't know if it's me asking too much of the restaurant or not but service was bad and we will not be going back for a while.

I must preface this review with the fact that I've visited Applebee's all over the country while traveling. Some admittedly better than others, however none as awful a this location. On two separate occasions our family ordered food via take out. The first incident involved a portion of either a plastic bag or plastic glove being in my food. I immediately notified the store the GM was not present, nor did she ever call after several attempts on my end to reach her. I finally went to corporate and received a call from the district manager. After speaking with him he assured me things had changed in the operation if the kitchen and sent me a gift card. After some reluctance our family returned two additional times, one if which was fine with no incident. Last night was the second time and I cannot stress enough the last time. First our food was screwed up but that is actually a non issue after what we found in our food...a piece of by all appearances to be porcelain from a cup or plate!! What if that had found its way into a child plate!! There is NO way a child would have caught it and could have serious injuries due to the sharp edges...The staff clearly doesn't care, or they would slow down and do it right! I'm walking with my wallet and I would advise all to NOT eat at this restaurant.

I have been to this location several times in the past. Service is usually pretty good. Food is okay. The only late night special is 50 cent boneless wings and cheap coors beer.

We chose Applebees because we needed an inexpensive way for four good friends to catch up. We accomplished that, but not much else. The food was BLAND and terrible. Sadly, this Applebees met but didn't exceed my very low expectations.

This place is getting worse. When it first opened it was good, but the service has declined, the food is less than eatable, and overall just not worth the money. This is after many attempts. It is corporate so I guess it would take a change from the higher ups. Maybe more training, maybe a little more caring, I don't know what to suggest. I guess if you want to attempt to waste money, try your luck here, it's a gamble.

This Applebees is awesome, the servers are the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Karaoke nights are the most sober fun I've had on a Thursday night. It's a great place to meet people, when you walk in there it seems like everyone is having dinner together. Great place to hang out and spend time. Tuesday nights they have dinners for family with specials for the kids, they also bring a clown to entertain the kids. Wednesdays is dine to donate were they donate to a organization based on how much people come into eat. It's a great neighborhood bar & grill. Two thumbs up for Applebees!

I go to the bar here often, and Greg is wonderful! Friday night's its usually pretty full but waite around its worth it. Greg makes amazing drinks he can usually make whatever you ask for even if its not on the menu nice and strong. The food well its Applebees get the boneless wings and onion rings and you'll be happy. And amazing desert shooters.

I'd never been to an App's before, but 1 of our party of 4 had a gift card, so off we went. Nothing on the menu caught my eye in regard to being free of fatty coatings, fillings, cheese or dressings, so I settled on a triple platter & asked for 3 orders of hot, boneless Buffalo wings. I love Buffalo wings, so I thought I'd be safe. They were beyond awful... swimming in mild (not hot) sauce, mostly batter & little chicken & stone COLD. I returned them to be reheated & (is this a bloody joke!???) they were microwaved into absolute, rock hard oblivion. The waitress returned a plate to me that looked like 2/3 of the wings had been removed, as they'd shrunk that much... they're actually tiny bites, not resembling chicken wings or fingers at all & like small, hard stones. The sauce had dried up, too & the plate was covered in dried, almost burnt wings. I had 3... they were completely inedible & 1 of our party took the rest to feed to their dog. The others said their food/drinks were 'nothing special, not horrible'. From what I recall, the others had salad, burger, some sort of sandwich & fajitas. I drank water, 2 had iced tea & 1 had coffee, which she said was 'lousy'. Horribly slow service, due to being grossly understaffed, awful food, over $80 (including tip) for an awful lunch for 4. Forget it. I won't be returning to this awful place. Wendy's would have been better. 0* out of 5 (but the system doesn't allow for a 0 rating), as the others I visited with said they'd visit another App's if no other choices were available. I wouldn't.

I have been to applebee's in many different states and never once had a the problems that I have had at this one. On every order I placed something was either missing or not what we ordered, the lady straw was when we found bones in our chicken kids meals and a 10 inch piece of plastic in one of the pasta dishes. When notifying the manager we were met work, what do you want from us. This location is horrible.
