We will ALWAYS chose this country diner over any others in the area. As another review stated they had issues on re-open but those have been resolved. They now need to work on physical upgrades to the establishment in and out. The location is perfect directly on Route 19. The food offered on their menu is satisfying, cooked correctly and delicious. Pricing is very reasonable. Will recommend and return. The help is attentive to customer requests and efficient as well as polite. Our other suggestion is that pies and baked goods be consistently provided in their case for sale. If you need a pie you should call ahead as we have hit days they don't bake and then days they do.

I actually like diner food. When done properly, it can be the best of comfort foods. When done poorly, it exemplifies the worst qualities of what it means to be a greasy spoon. Eppie's is someplace in between. Although the portions were large and inexpensive, it lacked the freshly-prepared quality that a diner should strive for.

Worst place around to waste your money. Everything is frozen food from Sysco, nothing is homemade. I wish I could give 0 star, this place shouldn't have a rating.

Great little country diner. Best in the area. Amazing prices and great service. We ordered two breakfast platters and everything was cooked perfectly the way we requested. Worth a stop in. Oh, and they have WiFi.

Whenever you're feeling hivey -- reach for that Eppie pen -- there's nothing like it -- except an oasis in the desert -- They have cherry pie

Ordered wings on the Wednesday Night Wing Special Night. They were boiled whole wings, with Hot Sauce Drizzled in the center of the pile. So if you like boiled meat....no seasoning, hot sauce right out of the bottle, this is your place.

Great country style restaurant. The food came out quick and was delicious and hot. The service was helpful and friendly. Everything was clean. It was good all around. They opened recently so take that into consideration. Starting a restaurant is not easy and takes years to season. With time this place will get back to being the classic it was before.

Disorganized and bad service. Mediocre food. We visited this diner on our way to McConnell's Mill State Park, which is nearby. We arrived at about 12 on a Sunday. The place was moderately busy, but most people were just finishing up late breakfast. We sat and waited for our waitress. And waited. And waited. The host of the restaurant eventually got us some drinks and then, about 20 minutes later, the waitress finally came. Up to that point, the entire restaurant appeared to be being managed by a single waitress. She took our order and then we waited for our food. And waited. And waited. In the meantime, I procured some silverware, which they forgot to give to us. My daughter ordered a milkshake that gave her intestinal problems right away. Perhaps not too many people order the shakes? She was hugging the toilet the rest of the day. But we did not realize the cause until later. After about 40 minutes more, our food came (or at least some of it). Considering we had a party of 3 and our order consisted of chicken fingers, french fries, and an omelet, it is amazing that it took 40 minutes to cook. By this time, the restaurant was practically empty. Our food trickled out to our table over the next several minutes so that none of us could eat at the same time. Speaking of the food, it was mediocre at best. The omelet was average (a bit watery and rather cold), the fries were uncooked in the middle, so it was more like eating half-raw potatoes, and the chicken fingers were difficult for my children to eat. Considering that they generally always order chicken fingers at every restaurant, I trust that they are leading experts on quality chicken fingers. In the end, our quick lunch took about 2 hours, which means we could have saved time by driving home, eating lunch, and then driving back again. In any case, my advice to you is to avoid this restaurant unless you really enjoy waiting a very long time for bad food.

Plain and simple comfort food that hits the spot. Portions are plenty and flavorful and the desserts are delicious. Prices are low, quality is high. The reason it didn't receive 5/5 stars is the decor. Even though everything is new and updated, 20 years ago the walls were covered in the owners travel photos, tribal mask, and famous customers. Always enjoyed looking at them as a kid. But that's just nitpicking.

This place is so out, it's in. The burgers were good, the fries appeared fresh cut and the mash potatoes were real. The only sour note was the coleslaw which was not fresh and had congealed into a sour lump. The ancient booths are too beat to even qualify as kitsch, but the phone booth, cat and pony paintings, and real juke box provided ample novelty for even the most jaded hipster. Given this places proximity between Living Treasures Animal Zoo and 79 I was surprised they weren't promoting themselves more to the tourist crowd.
