My husband & I love this pizza place. It is a must have whenever we come to Pennsylvania. The pizza is light & airy with just enough cheese.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Savo's in Pittson on 12/3. Wasn't sure what to expect, as I hadn't been there in years and the quality was always hit or miss. This time, it was great. We ordered a TON of food thanks to a Restaurant.com gift certificate that had a minimum purchase of $35. The waitress was more than accomodating to bringing out the strangest assortment of food. I enjoyed the buffalo bites, and the hot sauce was actually more sweet than hot, which was fine by me, as I usually look for a "honey hot" sauce. The pizza was light and airy and cooked perfectly and the chicken tender basket was great, as hard as it is to screw up a chicken tender basket. The mozzarella sticks capped it off, with gooey, stringy mozzarella cheese and a hot outer breading. I'll be returning to Savo's in the future to sample other dishes, I'm sure.

Great place, great food, great service, and reasonably priced menu. Love their wings, burgers, cheesesteak, and many other items that we have tried so far.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!! For starters it took literally 10 minutes for them to bring two fountain drinks over to the table. Another waitress realized we were sitting there a while and got them herself. Our waitress comes over apologized, took our order...things start looking up. We ordered mini potato pancakes, chicken wings, and chicken wing pizza. They bring out potato pancakes they're alright, they bring out wings (which we asked to be crispy) they were slimy on the inside, not crispy. They then bring our pizza I had them take it back because they didn't cut it I had a round pie sitting in front of me. When they bring it out a second time I take a piece bite into it and I get raw dough. Take another piece same thing, I was done at this point. I love food and it is very rare that anyone will ever hear me complain about it, but tonight was terrible!

This review is based solely on a delivered cheese pizza. I've never been to the actual restaurant and I've never eaten any of their other food. Unfortunately, because the pizza was pretty yuck, I probably won't eat any of their other food. We just moved to Pittston and Savo's was recommended to me as having great pizza. We already had demuro's and it is awesome, but I figured we'd try savo's anyway. Who knows? Maybe savo's would be better than Demuro's. Yeah, definitely not. Here was my experience: -the lady taking my order over the phone wasn't exactly nice. She wasn't rude, but she didn't bowl me over with enthusiasm for her restaurant. I told her that we just moved here and she didn't even acknowledge my comment. I was unfamiliar with "trays" (squares) of pizza and how that compares to regular circle pizzas. I needed to know if they could take a card over the phone, etc. New customer type questions. My whole experience with her was quite lackluster. Hopefully, she's not a server and if she is, I hope she's WAY more personable in person. -the pizza arrived in a timely fashion, so that was nice. -the pizza definitely was not piping hot. "Pretty warm" is how I'd describe it. -the cheese looked kind of glue-like....like really weird melted cheese, not normal melted cheese. Hard to explain, but did not look appetizing. -1 tray equals 12 cuts of pizza (slices). We ordered 1.5 trays. Total was about $25. WAY too much in comparison to what I can get from other places. -at first bite the kids and I thought it wasn't too bad. Kids said they liked it. I can see kids liking this pizza. Soft crust. Bland flavors. However, By the end of their first slice they determined they didn't like it afterall. I forced down 2 slices and stopped. The rest went to waste, unfortunately. This pizza tastes as bad as or worse than food court pizza at a mall. Fairly bland, but in a "bleh, why am I still eating this?" Kind of way. A few bites had a really weird non-food tatse. No clue what it was. There were no sighs of pizza contentment from this pizza. I can see how you'd love it, if you were raised on it, but I've lived from east coast to southern US to west coast and I love pizza....like I REALLY like almost all pizza, but savo's is just not good, imo. I wish I could get my money back. Call Demuro's. Flavorful awesome NY style pizza. Nom!

Savo's is a great place to eat! My children and I love the pizza and LOVE the sweet hot wing sauce :-) The atmosphere is cute and welcoming. Love this place and we go all the time!

Great pizza place tucked away inside a dismal strip mall on the bypass in Pittston. Savo's pizza is certainly in the Old Forge family of pizzas, you get it in trays and they don't really use mozzarella cheese; more like a tasty blend of cheeses that definitely includes American. I will say, to Savo's credit, they have the lightest pizza I have ever had. I could eat and eat and eat this stuff and never seem to fill up...and it's good enough that I want to try... They could renovate the interior. It"s dated, and the booths need some...loving attention. I also agree with the previous comment about the service, some days you are basically on your own...but it's not enough to stop me from coming back!

Best pizza in the valley! I had my parents drive an unbaked tray (or two) out to me when they came to visit in Chicago. They have really good daily specials and coupons- be on the lookout! I love the paintings on the wall!

Food is ok if they bother to get it right but nothing special at all. Staff can't take an order in less than five minutes on the phone let alone get it right too. Then after about and 1 1/2 they finally deliver cold food, that's not correct.

Great Pizza with a sweet sauce and light crispy crust. Their chili sauce on hotdogs and Boagies is excellent. Decent service and cool displays of historical items

My all time favorite pizza. Freezer is always stocked with at least 2 trays. I cant speak for any of their other food, as the plain tray of pizza is all i order. There are always specials, just check out their site. But 2 trays get 1 free ... best deal in the world!
