While I agreed that this place is not the best, they are almost the only one and one of the best that served my favourite dish, "Ikan Bandeng Duri Lunak" (soft bone fish). This place is one of the recommended place that served the best fish dish. The service is great and the other foods are fine too. There are no other indonesian restaurant that served a good fried banana, so do this place. The other deserts are alright. Please order something indonesian (which is their specialties) other than other food and thats where you will find this place is good. :)

In a pinch they are OK, but if you want really good Asian, this is not the place to go. We've tried it twice now, and have had the same mediocre results.

The food has been pretty damn good everytime I've orderd here. The southeast asian food is unlike any other. For those who don't know, its light so you dont feel the heaviness like you do with some other cuisines and you get to taste the essense of the dishes. I, for one, love the crispy fried tofu with shrimp and keep ordering the grilled chicken. yum! Also their soups are great, the oxtail soup or the cambodian rice noodle soup. I've ordered delivery from here for about 2 years now and will continue to!

Since this place is located down the block from me, it's convenient. I have to admit the lunch specials are mostly rice and little bit of meat which was disappointing. Their vietnamese pho noodles were actually quite good and their selection of sushi is very affordable if you get the 2 roll special. You can get 2 rolls for $7, good for the price.

Now, I'm very easy to please. There are very few times where I'm not willing to come back and give you another try. But unfortunately, Tasty Asia is not one of those places. After being sick for a couple days, I decided to be as lazy as possible and order from grubhub. I really wanted some wanton soup, and they seemed to be the only ones on there that had what I wanted. Since there was a $10.00 minimum for delivery, I had to find something other than their wanton soup so I ordered spring rolls and the fried banana dessert to my order. Thank god I started with the spring rolls, because they were actually pretty delicious, I liked their use of carrots and their sauce was just the right amount of sweet and spicy. Their "Wanton noddle soup" came in a normal chinese take-out container. Why? because it wasn't soup. Instead they just piled wantons (which, mind you, had a nice filling) on top of noodles. plain. I looked back into the bag several times to look for broth or sauce or SOMETHING. Nothing. I was stuck with plain wantons with plain, bland noodles. The EXACT thing I wanted turned out to be exactly what I didn't want. So, I thought I'd give the fried banana dessert a try to salvage the whole soup fiasco. This was easily the worst part of my meal. The fried bananas were stuffed with chocolate and something I can only describe as cheesewiz. It was cold, yellow, and had an extremely unpleasant cheese/plastic taste that ruined the entire thing. I'm still trying to get the taste out of my mouth while I eat campbell's chicken and rice.

Randomly located along a strip of Washington Ave construction and contractor warehouses, one wouldn't think to stop here, or to even venture here to SIT DOWN for a meal. As we approached, I was fairly certain it was takeout only. Also, I must have passed this place about 1000 times, and never even noticed it. Until I decided to venture here for Indonesian food. When we walked in, we noticed all the odd offerings - from ice cream to grilled cheese, which we found odd for an Indonesian restaurant. So we asked the woman behind the counter, who brought out the Indonesian menu. Very different and worth asking for - because the food was great. We got a fried tofu / tempeh app, delicious, well fried, and served with something delicious. For our main course, we split a egg / tofu curry - off the charts yummy, made with broccoli and tomato, and spinach! I seriously recommend going here. I'd still pick up Hardena or Indonesian Restaurant food before here, but this is a close third! Exciting to always have more options. If you do go to dine in, don't expect much. Very casual. Clean, but very casual. Also extraordinarily cheap!!

Good food. Always a favorite. Cheap. Good portion. Our favorite always 'Ikan bandeng duri lunak' (Fried Soft-Bone Fish). You can literally eat everything from this fish. Everything means everything, including it's bone. Guys, please do not order ordinary "chinese" food.. This is not "chinese" food joint.. Why would you get wonton soup from INDONESIAN restaurant?? Ahem. Anyway.. we ordered 'Ikan Bandeng Duri Lunak' (Fried Soft-Bone Fish) and also 'Ikan Bakar' (Grilled Fish). Both are very yummy and CHEAP. I know that most restaurant have their fish menu on high price. But not this one. The portion also satisfying. And cheap! We ordered those both fishes and also Satay Chicken. And like .. 5 plates of rice. Our bills came about $25ish.. I forgot. But definitely its not higher than $30. Go try this place sometime and dine in. Food always better when it's warm. Again please for the love of human kind, do not order 'chinese' food in 'Indonesian' joint. It's like you grab a plate of chicken wings at chinese buffet joint. Ofcourse it wouldn't be good. duh~!?
