Today I came in for the oatmeal. Over all, it's pretty good. It's comes with multiple toppings that you have the choice to add to your oatmeal. They also provide you with agave syrup and brown sugar, so you have a choice of sweetener. I would get it again.

Avoid this Starbucks at all costs. Unless you have 15 minutes to wait for an Americano with only 1 person in line ahead of you. It's rare to not have a line wrapped around the store. While the staff is friendly, they generally move at a glacial pace & only 1 register is staffed. Not sure why they bothered to place 2 registers in this location. It may be convenient but the service is practically nonexistent. Easily the worst store I've ever visited in the chain.

This Starbucks left a lot to be desired on my visit this afternoon. There were only two employees working and one seemed to be training - and it was busy! We arrived when there wasn't much of a line but the queue got backed up several times while we were there. Secondly, there is not much seating available so you really have to pounce on a table the moment it becomes unoccupied. Third, the snack case was pretty barren and not super appealing. Perhaps this is a positive as it kept me from snacking! Finally, the music was turned way loud. I'm certain that Starbucks has some sort of corporate policy about their music volume and this particular location was definitely not abiding to that decibel. Totally distracting. My green tea latte was fine but the condiments station could have used a clean-up.

The Starbucks, on the surface, is pretty solid. Its big enough, always clean, has a nice outdoor seating area, and the staff is generally pretty friendly. However, unfortunately, they are chronically understaffed. Maybe its because the coffee served at the offices across the street is horrific (it is, I worked there), but the lines here are just not acceptable. As I write this review, I am 14th in line, with several behind me, in the middle of the afternoon. I'm here several times a week; this isn't an isolated incident. Hire more people, Starbucks. There is obviously enough business here to support it.

I think it's hard to review chain restaurants like Starbucks because they have so many company-specific standards to meet that you really should have a similar experience there no matter what location you go to. My visit to this location was exactly like any other Starbucks I've been to, except for the wifi. I was greeted when I walked in, the baristas were friendly, I got my drink quickly, and I was very happy with my chai tea late. However, I planned on spending a couple hours at Starbucks--I had a lot of school work to do and I drove several miles from my house to come to this location. But it totally wasn't worth the trip because the wifi was incredibly slow. When I was watching my lectures, they kept stopping and needing to buffer every 5 minutes. I've never had this problem anywhere else. The slow wifi was so annoying that I left early and went down the street to Corner Bakery Cafe--where I was able to watch my lectures without a single problem. Definitely won't be coming back to this Starbucks to study again.

Quite possibly the worst service at a Starbucks I've ever been to. Severely understaffed with folks who don't really care. Went 2 days in a row, simply horrible.

City Line Ave, Phila border Located near Target ;) & a few tempting eateries in this short strip. Okay Starbucks with a outdoorsy sitting area. Parking? don't know, I was at Crown Plaza for a conference when I found this place. Giant busy Target parking lot right behind. Be creative. Server never even told me my DECAFF was ready. But the pro is the coffee was not too sweet. I like when I can drink it as is. I hear it is college student central, and I like that -being surrounded by a bunch of St. Josephs and PCOM smarty pants. ;-P

Had a really good customer service experience here that prompted me to write a review, and I noticed a fair amount of negative ones. First, it is definitely not dirty. Like most Starbucks, they clean incessantly. Maybe the reviewer caught them right before some customer trashed the place. The barista's are overall very nice. Obviously, there may be a bad egg here or there, but, recently, I thought I ordered an iced coffee, but I was given and iced tea. I'm pretty sure I was wrong and ordered an iced tea, but when I inquired, they didn't even think twice they promptly gave me an iced coffee, offered me to keep the iced tea, and gave me a coupon for a free drink on my next visit because my experience wasn't "perfect." Pretty solid customer service to me. As for the seating etc, I do wish the seating area was double the size and they had an entrance that was located on the side so the whole place doesn't get miserably cold in the winter with each opening. As for the drinks, it's Starbuck's, so this one is par for the course.

This Starbucks is great to grab a cup of coffee. But last time I was here the power strips were not working, so I could not do any work while I was there on my laptop. I do wish this location was as big as the Starbucks on Montgomery Ave.

Very disappointed. The frap wasn't made correctly as in it tasted funny, but that I could deal with...the one person working while the other lackadaisically talked to a "patron" was a little off-putting. What is more, a)the "patron" was not buying anything and b) she was taking up half the register area just talking about personal subjects with the second worker. I have worked several jobs where I have had personal conversations but you move to the side and move real patrons along. Not here. The "patron" stood there for at least 10 more minutes...who knows how long before I got there. This whole time customers SLOWLY moved through. It was clear to see they were not pleased with the "patron" and we all knew she had either worked there or felt entitled. Now she moved to the side (where her boyfriend sat with their Wendy's bags) and loudly discussed personal matters with the workers while people waited. . Then she engaged the first worker in conversation while the store was busy. Needless to say, she was a complete nuisance (the "patron") and yet no one working seemed to mind setting the customers back in time and inconvenience them for the sake of this rude, inconsiderate person I hope does not work there (short, blond hair). I will go elsewhere and recommend the same to everyone. Kind of yucky experience. I think she put the baristas in a bad situation, but I also think she needed to be put aside for paying customers.

We were staying nearby and needed to get up early the next morning. I called to ask what time they open and they gave me the wrong time so it was closed when we got there.

I'm not a fan of this location. They are not friendly, and the last time I was here, I politely asked for the kind of coffee I always get, received the wrong one, and politely asked them to change it out (it was a tall for crimey's sake, not a venti or a trenta). Instead of an apology or agreement, I got an eyeroll. But I don't handle eyerolls very well, so I asked simply, "why did you roll your eyes" ::cue silence followed by backpeddling:: The service is a bit slow here. Like the Yelp 2 star review states, "meh".

This Starbucks used to be fast, efficient, with perfectly made drinks. The last 2 weeks...not so much. There have been at least 1-2 trainees there in the morning between 8:30-9:00, which is not exactly conducive to providing fast and reliable service. Training should not be done on weekdays at peak business time, during rush hour. Also, for the last 2 weeks, my drink has not been made properly or is too weak, missing a part of the order, etc. Please, Starbucks - train your employees during a slower time...so your customers aren't late (or rushing) to work!

I hate Starbucks, but I like this location!! It's so cozy!! Also love their pumpkin scones!! DELICIOUS!!! Their vanilla chais suck, but I love their strawberry smoothies!

Nice friendly people. Clean and well stocked. Close to major stuff on City Ave, and near 76. Very large outdoor cafe area.

This Starbucks is in a perfect location, with a beautiful building, in a great shopping centre. But unfortunately the coffee giant that I love was unable to capitalize on it's opportunity. The biggest complaint about this store that I have is the lack of comfortable seating. All chairs except for 3 bench seats in the room are uncomfortable metal chairs that don't invite one to stay for more than 10 minutes. So if one is looking for a relaxing atmosphere to relax with a cup of coffee for an hour or two, I would avoid this store. This location has the normal Starbucks quality coffee, with some college students (most likely from st joes) running the store. Some days they are pleasant, other days they are rude and bitter. I wish this Starbucks was better, because it could be so nice and perfect. But I don't have any desires to return to this location unless its just to pick up a cheap cup of joe after chipoltle.

The drinks are awesome and well done! Only complaint is that alot of college kids go there so theres never anywhere to sit!

Like another reviewer said, it is very hard to review chain restaurants do to their corporate standards that each restaurant must follow. I will say that there was a mistake in the ordering process when I went. I ordered a peach green tea and waited for it. I never heard it being called but they gave it away to someone else who had been standing there. That made me a little upset because how could you possibly miss or forget the person who ordered something five or 10 minutes later? The woman who was working at the counter made up for it by giving me a large peach green tea instead of the small that I ordered. I guess it was her way of saying sorry about that. I really appreciated it! I also met some medical students while I was studying there and we had some interesting conversations. That's the nice thing about the Starbucks. It's right across the street from the medical school campus so there are a lot of other medical students studying there if that's what you're interested in or if that's the crowd that you like to hang out with. I also like to bounce between getting drinks there and going to the chipotle a couple doors down. The parking is so convenient. There is a very nice and clean parking garage right across from it. Not sketchy at all

Good Starbucks - friendly service, fast-moving lines & clean interior. Only giving 3 stars because my frappuccinos here have been below par. But for the more simple drinks this is a great option for Starbucks lovers.

If you can avoid this Starbucks I would do so. It's always on the dirtier side- spilled sugar packets, dirty barista counters, etc and it takes forever to get your drinks.. Pretty awful!!

As many in the yelp community know, I am not a big fan of Charbucks (aka fourbucks) BUT- and this location deserved the big but... considering that this shopping area (near the Target on City Ave.) is the only walkable place near my new office, I come here for an occaisional Ice Green Tea Lemonade. This Starbucks is clean and (aside from morning rush) not crowded. A pleasant surprise. My goodness - I may start (gasp) liking Starbucks again.

Before deciding to go to Starbucks, I grabbed a cup of coffee from Dunkin' Donuts the day before. The coffee was very bland and the service was not spectacular...no comparison here with Starbucks. Upon arriving at this Starbucks location, I was impressed by the cleanliness and the fast service this location displayed. This location was very serene and relaxing. It provided an atmosphere where one can write a business letter or even draft a paper with little background noise. Some locations allow you to use your laptop but they have background, non compromising noise that interferes with focusing and concentrating on a task. I ordered a tall Peppermint Mocha that was topped with whipped cream and peppermint bits. This coffee was rich in flavor and very inexpensive. The customer service here was great! I will definitely return with my laptop and order another one of their flavorful coffee drinks in the future. I have been to other Starbucks locations, but this one was the best yet, by far.

This Starbucks is a dump. The tops of the armrests fall off the chairs - apparently they are too cheap (or lazy) to get them repaired (or even glue them back on!). The line was ridiculous and they don't have nearly enough people working (2 cashiers, 1 barista) for the dozens of people here (at noon on a Saturday). Not nearly enough seating available, though there is a nice outdoor courtyard for warmer months. My drink was tasty, but otherwise, BLAH!

  • Erin R.

They are generally very very slow - it takes forever to get your drink here. The baristas are below-average, and my drinks are always just so-so. If I'm going to pay $5 for a latte, I will go to another Starbucks!! A decent amount of seating, including outdoor seating in summertime.

I love this place. It's very conveniently located to home, work, and everywhere in between. The only thing I don't really like is the parking lot adjacent to this establishment...but hey, that's not Starbucks' fault! The Caramel Crunch Frappucino is indubitably delightful!

THIS IS ONLY A REVIEW OF THIS LOCATION, NOT STARBUCKS GENERALLY!!! I recently became self-employed, so I've spent a lot of time at Starbucks, taking advantage of WIFI and addictive coffee. I've frequented many of the Starbucks in the area, but since I'm meeting somebody at CPK, I decided to try this one. What a mistake. The staff here is utterly indifferent to customer service. They bring new meaning to the word laconic. There's nothing wrong with the product (same as every other Starbucks), but the service left such a bad taste in my mouth, I'll never come back to this place ... ever.

Come here on the weekends in the morning because it's most convenient location. Every time I come the staff are slow and confused. Lots of frustrated customers. It takes 20 minutes to get a regular ice coffee. I stay to read outside for awhile thinking that I can come back in to get a quick re-fill , but that also takes 20 minutes. Somehow the staff still find time to laugh and talk to each other as if they are doing their job. Terrible experience every time!

I've never been so disrespected by a barista. I got my usual grande non fat iced green tea latte. I usually get it shaken up and if they do not, I ask nicely and the Barista usually shake it for me. Not today, I asked nicely being the southerner that IM, and instead of him kindly explaining to me that he cannot use the shake container because those are for non-dairy products he rudely stated that the containers you see there are four non-dairy products and I really don't feel like cleaning them after just your one drink. That was very unexpected and I've never been treated that way by anyone for no reason whatsoever. I didn't appreciate it. There was no need for attitude. Never going to this location again I'd rather go inside target which is a hop skip away.

I frequent this Starbucks 3-4 times a week and never was all that impressed with the personalities of the baristas. They appeared disgruntled as I often overheard them talking poorly about their managers. Today, when I ordered a woman named Kendra helped me and was extremely friendly with excellent customer service. She appeared genuinely happy to do a good job and it makes a difference in my experience. I think this location has definitely stepped up its game over the past few months and it is showing in the attitude and cheeriness of its employees. Good job, Starbucks!
