Why does the worst Starbucks in the city also have to be the one closest to my job? In general I don't think the issues of this place are directly related to the staff. They are always friendly when I'm there. I think the problem is that this place is always busy because it's in the Marriott and there never seems to be ENOUGH staff. It doesn't matter if there's only 2 people in line or 30, I always seem to wait at least 15 minutes for my iced coffee. Yet, I keep coming back thanks to my relentless caffeine addiction.

Rating Starbucks is like rating McDonald's: what's the point? Yep, it's a Starbucks on Market Street attached to the huge Marriott hotel. About what you'd expect from a Starbucks. No better, no worse.

Today i went to buy a couple of ice teas. two of my ice teas came right a way but then they ran out of the ice tea i wanted. Also there were a few other situations happening in the store but the gentleman came up to me and said the tea would take 5 mins to steep and asked if i mind waiting or would i like something else. I said i would wait, understanding that sometimes things can get a Little frantic in the service industry. In about five minutes i received my ice tea as well as two free coupons for the next time i visit. I was very impress with the way the gentleman handled the situation and i guess it is true good things come to those who wait. Definitely will be returning and not just because of the free coffee...haha

I wanted to get out of the rain while in Philly. So I stopped by Starbucks. What fantastic service, the staff was as accommodating as they come. I stayed 2 hours to complete computer work. I was sitting near the register and over heard some of the interaction between customers and staff. The staff was on point with every customer as they were with me. My hot beverage tasted that much better due to GREAT service. Amazing work!

The employees set this Starbucks apart. They are always very friendly and keep the establishment in top notch condition, which says a lot given all the traffic that passes through here.

I drink Starbucks daily! And Starbucks is a disgraceful company! You are not a franchise! Your privately owned! so you are responsible for hiring managers and rude staff! That cannot and will not understand that supporting you local community is a proper way of conducting your self! This locations is lower than scum! by not allowing a police officer to NOT use the restroom being denied! You need to retrain your staff and have some protocols standards and procedures for when the police officers needs to use a restroom!

Stayed in the hotel that this Starbucks was housed in for a conference. This place gets BUSY! However, they are pretty efficient and the line moved quickly. I didn't get a drink, but had a greek yogurt with berries and a separate multi grain bagel with cream cheese. The total came out to about $5 and it was very filling. Quality and selection of items are standard, but the location is really convenient! There's a nice bar seating area by the windows so it's a nice place to people watch.

this starbucks does not support or care for any philidelphia police officers, fire fighters, and emt's. boycott the business, any coffee establishment that will not alow a police officer to use its bathroom does not belong in business. what happened to simple life respect for others? go to dunkin donuts.... the coffee is better anyway!! nj.com/news/index.ssf/20…

Really happy to have discovered this Starbucks so close to me after I moved away from my old fave - its quick, efficient, and large with lots of seating! The baristas know what they're doing and don't hold you up, so I will absolutely be making this my new spot

Sunday morning scenario: Line snaked through Sbux into the Marriott lobby. One barista on register. Two baristas on coffee and food. One barista doing nothing. One barista at the espresso, etc. area. I patiently waited my turn and ordered the same thing I have ordered every day since 8/28; a Venti non-fat, no whip pumpkin spice latte and picked up a Mango Juice from the fridge. I did not have enough on my Gold Card so I also handed the cashier $10 and asked her to put it on my card first. She condescendingly "explained" she could do it all at the same time. She put it on my card and rang my order and gave me some coin change?? (still haven't figured that one out). I patiently waited FOREVER and watched as several people who came after me got their drinks. I politely asked the barista if he had a Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte coming up. He did not. Meanwhile the register girl yells down that I had ordered a Grande. I pulled out my receipt to verify that I had indeed ordered a Venti. He finally made my drink (with whip and most likely Vitamin D milk) and gave me a card for a free drink next time. I get that people make mistakes, but register girl seriously needs to not be in the customer service position of ringing customers. (There were other snide remarks heard while waiting there that I won't even go into.) I love Sbux and like I said, I visit my local spot at least once per day. Not even remotely impressed with the management of this local.

I love you... I have an addiction.. You feed that addiction.. When I try to stop and leave, you always keep me coming back.. This Starbucks is in the lobby of the hotel where I work, and I love it. The majority of the employees are amazing. They are so amazing, they know what I'm ordering, before I know. I walk in, and they go "The usual?" Sigh... Can't get better than that.

Line at this Starbucks in Marriott Downtown lobby is always insane. There weren't any spices (I always have cinnamon in my coffee) and the milk containers were empty. Not what you'd expect on a busy Saturday morning. The staff was nice enough, but they could have used another hand it looked like.

I found this Starbucks to be exceptional when my husband and I were in town. We were staying at the adjacent Marriott hotel so coming down the elevators to get a cup of coffee was a huge perk for the hotel. The staff here is awesome. Let me tell you why. I collect the Starbucks mugs from places I've visited and unfortunately, this store ran out. The two guys that were working the first day we were there was super apologetic that they didn't have any in stock but "thought" they might get a shipment overnight. They were nice enough to give me directions to other Starbucks around that they thought I should also try. Unfortunately, I struck out there as well. When we went in later that night, I told the same guy that we were unsuccessful in finding the mug but he was still hoping that they'd get a shipment in that night but urged me to check the very next morning. The next morning rolled around and the two guys weren't working but a new staff came in and I told them the story of how we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of these mugs. The gal went into the back and sadly, they did not arrive in the shipment. I was bummed because we were leaving that morning and it was clear that I was going home empty handed. I was disappointed and gave my husband the "sad face" look. We proceeded to place or our for a few pastries and our coffees and when the gal told us our total, we thought she had missed something. Turns out, she comp'd our coffee because they didn't have the mugs we wanted. How sweet! I thought that was a nice gesture and it sent us on the road to the New York with a smile on our face. When a store is super busy as this store was has the time to go out of their way to find a bunch of silly tourist a mug, I would say that's as good as it gets.

Seriously, Starbucks, an extra $0.75 or whatever for iced coffee vs. regular? How does that even make sense? I might as well spend the extra dollar and get an iced latte. Lame.

This Starbucks is downright unpleasant to be in. It has very little seating and has entrances that open both onto the street and into a hotel lobby. I felt like the doors were constantly opening in this place. The store is also far smaller than your average Starbucks. If you need to get a drink, it's okay, but it is not a place I would linger.

The furniture is very odd here, somebody wanted to make a fashion statement or something. Nothing is comfortable. The windows, looking out onto the street are nice but the service is lacking. Very disorganized.
