Perfect for eating your felafel from Felafel Truck right outside. You get the experience of a restaurant but the price of a food truck. I always buy a Starbucks to just so I don't feel awkward! Lol

It seems like there is a Starbucks on every corner, but not all Starbucks nor their employees are created equal. This location is always polite, respectful, and timely. It's the little things. Today they made my day! In rare form, my eight month old puppy pulled on her leash and my brand new beverage went flying before I even made it home to put the straw in it. When I returned to this location, after cleaning up the mess and walking back, they replaced my beverage with no questions asked. It's the little things like this that make this location my favorite in Philly.

This starbucks at the corner of 20th & Market serves the local lawyers and stock exchange folks and they really manage the morning line well. Staff is decent enough - and the bathroom is usually OK - kept locked. Not bad!

Cashiers and baristas are very friendly and helpful here. They keep the line moving quickly even during "rush" hour like weekday mornings. Very convenient spot close to my work.

Now I don't know how it is during peak hours but I went on a Monday afternoon around 2pm and the service was extremely fast. Love it

Serious question. You are right in the middle of Philadelphia's "Financial District" (so to speak). Why aren't you open on Saturdays anymore? You've got the five largest accounting firms across the street, working on saturdays. This could be big money for you. It doesn't need to be year-round January to April 15th.

Awesome service! Friendly, polite and efficient! They really go out of their way to get to know the regulars here and will have your name and order memorized in no time. I have never had a problem with my drink order and the store is kept quite tidy. The space/setup is a bit odd and small, so be prepared to feel a little cramped. This is a great Starbucks!

This starbucks is near my bus stop. The line gets pretty long, but they make your drink faster when there is a line! Honestly when they are slow god help you if you have to make a bus or get to work. They are almost too friendly! I worked for starbucks years ago. If the drinks are made right they are great. My latte is always topped with a healthy dose of yummy foam and the people are as I said overly friendly! So if you happen to not have cash on you to run into la colombe ( which btw capogiro is open early and they have la colombe) stop here! the new yogurt parfait is also addictive...i think there is cocaine mixed in the yogurt! Okay the place is wheelchair accessible, but not through the front door, you have to go inside 1900 market and then through the side door. Might be tricky, but I'm sure someone will help you!

This is my go-to Starbucks. It's across from my work and the people who work here are normally pretty friendly. Not to mention, they are pretty damn good at what they do. I've been there at least a hundred times and they've never screwed up my drink. So while efficiency is their main success point, they are for the most part pretty friendly and a pleasure to visit. Although there are many other coffee joints in the area that I may like to visit every once in a while, this is my primary place because it's so close and they usually make a good drink.

I came here during a slow time when the staff had all the time in the world to leave a lasting impression. The service was mediocre and the lobby area was a hot mess. Not very good representation of the company.

There is this MILF Lady that works here that is very wacky, She's got pale skin, dark hair and a dippy hippy vibe about her. She's so friendly, crazy and funny that I love going into this Starbucks on the rare occasion I do caffeine.

Writing a bad review of a Starbucks is like saying that Mother Teresa was a slut. No one is going to believe you and no one will really care about your thoughts and you're really about to waste five minutes of your life by expressing your opinions. However...that isn't stopping me! My hubby works at 19th and Market, I work at 15 and Walnut. I decided to hitch a ride from him tonight after work rather than take the train so I walked from my business to his. It's about nuts-in-my-stomach degrees outside so when I came to the Starbucks on Market, I popped in for what I thought would be two quick cups of coffee and then continue on my way to meet my partner another half a block down the street. I was the only customer in line. Two people were behind the counter. An African American young lady with a terrible tumble-weave on her head and a goofy ogre-ish guy with a mop. I placed my order for a tall Americano and a tall latte. Nothing complicated about my order; you simply place the coffee cup under the grinder, push start and presto, you've got coffee! The back counter of the place was filthy. Out of the eight pitchers used for steaming milk, none were clean. Tumble-weave was too busy talking to a new customer who didn't seem to be placing an order but seemed to have stopped in for a social call, all the while my coffee was not being made. Finally, Tumble-weave got around to making my coffee. She steamed the milk first, then started the coffee. I would have guessed that the coffee came first but then again, I believe that the chicken came first not the egg. I waited at the counter counting the seconds and then the minutes as they passed by. I considered reaching over the counter and completing my own order but then I'd be banned from Starbucks forever. Oh what a terrible shame that would be. Tumble-weave finally returned to making my latte. She poured in the steamed milk from the dirty pitcher into my coffee and placed a lid on top. The foam was too high in the cup so when she put the lid on it, foam went-a-sprayin'. Solution? Grab the dirty cloth towel that you've been wiping the counter with and wipe the rim of my coffee cup with it. Sweet! Are you seriously that much of a pig that you thought that was a healthy, reasonable, customer-service-oriented solution to the problem? Why not just ask ogre-mop-guy to wipe off the top of my lid with his mop? No wonder you're a "barista" at Starbucks! Try not to have any hope of a higher career goal than that, sweetie! One cup down, one to go. I stood (not so patiently) waiting for my Americano. It was under the machine. The machine had dispensed the coffee. All it needed was the hot water added. So, while Tumble-weave ignored my coffee and finished her conversation with new-customer, I asked ogre-mop-guy if he could get me a new lid for my latte. He looked at me like I had grown three heads but after a few attempts to communicate my request to him, he finally got me a new lid. Then I asked him if he could take over for Tumble-weave and finish making my Americano coffee. It was sitting right there but he started to make a new one, which pissed Tumble-weave off. Finally, she returned to finish my order. Ogre-mop-guy headed off to get me a gift card to return at a later date for another go at getting a f*cking $4 cup of coffee. No thanks. I kindly handed him the gift card and walked out. Like I said at the beginning...this review won't mean sh*t to anyone who reads it and it certainly will have no bearing on the profits or customer volume at Starbucks but I feel better getting this off my chest. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read it.

I went here several times on my stay. Everytime, the service was pretty fast though there were huge lines.
