if it's not 100 degrees outside and i'm not incredibly pressed for time, i prefer to walk the extra block to this starbucks (see my review for the nearby walnut location.) it seems like the baristas at this starbucks have a quicker turnover in preparing drinks, and the lines are never ridiculously long.

Philly starbucks are usually pretty slow with service but this one is amazing! Fast service, really nice staff, and a great ambiance. Perfect for studying when the walnut one is overcrowded with students. Went After a lunch rush and wash in n out in 5min.

Usually speedy with the drinks regardless of the line size. Watch the parking meters outside, the PPA is on point.

Other than a killer wait at peak times, this is my favorite location on Drexel's campus. My orders always come out perfect. The baristas are always super friendly and attentive at the register and when you pick up drinks. I haven't had a bad experience there even when the line is out the door. Somehow they are always patient and smiling. Not a ton of space with the place usually packed with students but term breaks are never an issue--you can grab a seat if you like or have a quick 10-minute turn-around on your coffee. My go-to drink: Chai Latte with an extra shot of espresso

Starbuck's definitely generates more crowd in G-Hall especially in the morning when students are half awake. Friendly baristas. Sometimes they get the orders wrong but everyone makes mistakes. Most students order drinks to go. Getting rid of that unnecessarily large dark wood rectangular table could really alleviate the traffic. Not many people would sit there anyways

The staff at this location is wonderful! Today, as I was rushing to eat my salad while working on my laptop at he same time, I spilled everything on the floor...after taking one bite.. While I was strugglin to clean up the mess (also embarrassed, frustrated, and hungry), one of the staff came up to me with a brand new salad and cleaned up everything on the floor for me. Best customer service ever! Made my day! Anyhow, besides this personal anecdote, I also want to comment that the location itself is really nice! They have plenty of small tables that you can study or work. Much better than the one on walnut if you are planning on sitting around for a while. Also, the music is the right volume and the couches are super comfy...

thank you, thank you, thank you. I can always rely on this Starbucks to serve me well. The staff is wonderful--always smiling and helpful, despite the length of the line. They understand the importance of a properly-made drink, serve it with a smile, and are patient with you when ordering and your brain freezes (duh--havent had my coffee yet). It is much better than the Starbucks one block over on Walnut (and less crowded with Penn students). fun fact: when I was a student at Drexel some years ago, rumor had it that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal hung out here while she was filming a movie a few blocks away.

This review regards this location, not the amazing food and drinks. This starbucks is a local hangout for high schools, like baldwin and shipley. I think that everyone agrees that their parking lot is atrocious. It is impossible to find parking, especially in the morning. It is always hard to sit down and some on the seating in the left side of the starbucks is really weird (there are two big tables that are simply awkward). Some of the baristas there is super friendly, but it isn't rare that I get a non-attentive barista.

I can always rely on them to get me my caffeine fix. The Baristas are always courteous, friendly, and go out of they're way for the customer on a regular basis. Even when it gets crowded, the baristas keep the line moving. The muffins are also made fresh everyday.

i love the bux. Forget about the politics you get your coffee the way you want it PERIOD. After drinks and nibbles i was in need to #GTL so yelped the closest starbucks and up popped this one two min away. I arrived to a pretty busy store but an even more amusing night crew taking orders and mixing up drinks. I was in an out in under 3 min with my #GTL ready to be up all night ! GTL =Green Tea Latte - yeah you guys can use it

You can never go wrong with Starbucks for some caffeine... but this Starbucks is especially classy. That's probably because this location is right across the street from the Penn Law School. Of course, the menu is the same anywhere you go. One of my new favorites is the Vivanno - which is a fruit-based smoothie, which a shot of espresso can be added to! A yummy meal in itself.

Of all Starbucks location in my neighborhood this is my favorite one to work in, because it has plenty of seating, many wall outlets, usually a very fast Wi-Fi, few obnoxious customers and very friendly staff. Oh, and it's open late. The air conditioning is not blowing your brains out, and they don't run out of snacks by 6 pm, like some other locations... Clientele is mostly students, keeping things upbeat. :) What else? Nice outdoor area. A pleasant view from the window. Of course, there are a few resident bums here, too (this is Philly, after all,) but the bathroom is always clean. So yes, I like this place and recommend it heartily.

Amazing strawberry banana soy smoothie. Since I actually watch what they put into the smoothie, I know that they put in real fruit and the ingredients are fresh. It's really filling and is just delicious. The wait staff is by far the most efficient I have ever seen at any Starbucks. They are friendly, too. I enjoy the visits I have here for that very reason. There are way too many people in there sitting and taking up space, however. Whether people are taking up sitting space with bags and laptops/ipads for hours on end without leaving. If the Starbucks were bigger, I could understand more, but the cafe is a) fairly small and b) has a steady flow of traffic. 30 minutes to an hour? Have at it. After that, get off your butt and go to a library or somewhere appropriate for your attention getting tactics. Sorry, but there. I said it. Ever heard of a library? There is one a hop, skip, and jump away. Usually people are at least talking audibly, the hot coffee drinks do get cold just as the cold drinks get lukewarm, and the place does close eventually. That is no fault of the Starbucks, so I will not lower the stars. But ugh, people. Ugh, I tell you. Let everyone have a seat to enjoy their frothy beverage.

I have seen some customers get pretty picky at this starbucks and never once did the workers give a hard time to anyone. They are fast, super nice, and make all the coffee correctly. Sweet ladies and men, wish they had more eating and no lines whenever you go in, but it's wonderful to see the starbucks on campus. This starbucks is always filled with students. We actually lost out phone here and one of the workers picked it up, called us back and told us he would hold it at the register until we came back. What better service is that? Amazing. My coffee was made perfectly and even though there was a line there really wasn't a wait. Can't compliment this starbucks enough. Great job!

Only been here a handful of times. The oatmeal and breakfast items are good and the blonde roasts are never burnt. So by chain coffee store standards, this Starbucks deserves 4 stars. For me, I don't think there are many tables in open areas for studying especially because I don't like the claustrophobic tables in the back by the restrooms, but they have a cute little area with couches if you want to catch up with friends!

I enjoy studying at this Starbucks since there are more seats here than at the Walnut/34th St. location just a couple of blocks away right across from the UPenn campus. The baristas are generally pleasant, not any more or any less friendly than those at other coffee shops. Immediately to the left of the main entrance is a section with couches, which are ideal for sitting in while reading a book or relaxing while savoring a cool beverage on a Friday evening. The place is open until 11 P.M., which is nice. I live about a 20-minute walk away, but I often come here with my laptop since it is less noisy than other places. This goes for any Starbucks, but I recommend getting the following: 1) Coffee Frappucino (this comes without whipped cream) since it is less saccharine than other Frappucinos and it probably has the highest caffeine content. 2) Passion tea lemonade (sweetened) - This cool beverage is perfect for the dog days of summer. I get this either in the grande or venti size. Don't take too long to sip it or the ice will melt and dilute the syrup. The tall-sized house coffee is just okay and rather bitter in my opinion. If you take your coffee with cream and sugar, it might be tastier since the coffee is so strong and bitter. There is a difference between bitter and dark coffee, however, as can be noted when one compares the house coffee at Starbucks with Peet's Coffee blend. The latter is dark and aromatic without giving a bitter after taste. Unfortunately, it's difficult to get access to Peet's Coffee here. Another perk: the place has restrooms which are clean (and open to the public). The music is also enjoyable - it's usually a mix of bossa nova or indie (Wilco, emo music, etc.)

I've only been in here once but the baristas are super friendly and chatty. I really appreciate it because a lot of people in the university area seem to hate the students. It closes late at midnight, and it's got two floors! I love Starbucks. You always know what you're going to get.

The baristas here are always very nice...this place is a bit further than the one on 32n market but they have apple fritters so it's worth the trip ;)

Great location, makes it easy to grab a coffee in between classes. People are super friendly. And actually get my name right which is awesome. It's always packed in the morning/afternoons during weekdays though, so if you're looking for a quick grab and go this may not be the best place at that time.

I was going to preface this review with a defense of Starbucks, but changed my mind and decided to not get into the politics and simply stick to reviewing. (Though I will say - politics does influence where I will spend my money.) In some ways, a Starbucks is a Starbucks. At least if you are at a Company Store and not a Licensed Location (of which there are thankfully few.) However, in the world of "the same" this location stands out as wonderful. The Baristas are uniquely friendly. They also do seem to try harder to be helpful than at other locations. I have on a few occasions needed to speak to a manager, not for problems, but to get information, and the woman who seems to be the store manager is knowledgeable and responsive. She also seems to have a good rapport with the staff, which may account for the quality of service. The store, and specifically the restroom, is always clean, and when I have found it lacking in a paper product, they are quick to fix the problem. Although the lines can be long, service doesn't dawdle. On the other hand, when it isn't busy, staff is happy to chat about coffee, or movies, if you are interested and don't interfere with their work getting done. There are plenty of tables, and four areas which have power outlets, which is more than most locations, so it is truly possible to be there and get work done. It does get crowded at times, especially during exam weeks at Drexel and Penn, but I have only once, out of many visits had to leave because I couldn't find a seat. This is not the ONLY Starbucks in Philly that I like, but it is my favorite! On a Company-wide note - they now use NO High Fructose Corn Syrup in ANYTHING. Desserts are back on my menu!

I almost feel silly for writing a review about Starbucks but since I frequent this location so very often...I will write one! The baristas here are probably the friendliest ones I've ever encountered. I'm not sure what other Starbucks hours are but this one is 5:30AM-11:00PM Monday-Saturdays and 6AM-10PM on Sundays (I believe) which makes it convenient for college students (as it is sandwiched between Drexel University and University of Pennsylvania campuses). I also like how there is always a large selection of food/pastries as other Starbucks usually do not stock as many. Love it!

The baristas are super nice and make all the drinks as they should be! It also has a full Starbucks menu, which is super nice because I feel that many smaller Starbucks in the area do not. Beware of the early afternoon though because it is super packed!

I don't know much about other items it offers, but I do love the *Iced Green Tea Coffee Latte* there. I've tasted this one at bunch of Starbucks in Philla, and another one is near Broad street, Temple Univ., which is also neat. But I used to go to this one where is near my house to do my reading assignments every weekends, and I'll definitely buy a cup of green tea coffee latte. The only drawback there, I would say, I feel a little noisy if I sit in the upstairs, cause there are always vibrating the coffee machines underneath.. and the seats having good lights are limited, but if you don't work with readings, you can choose the secondaries.

The Starbucks coffees and lattes are the same as coffees and lattes and coffees as same the are lattes and coffees Starbucks The. This wonderful palindrome is not the reason I'm giving this Starbucks a 5-star rating. This jawn is getting its 5 stars due to its friendly staff. I don't really like talking to people, but the morning staff is so good at remembering orders (You want an Americano with a churclate durnut? Uhhh, yeah wow thanks) that I can't help saying Hi How are you? or Thanks! All the workers seem genuinely enthused even when dealing with crowded rush hours and lousy soft misters. This quality service makes me feel better about spending the ridiculous Starbucks price. I feel good about the purchase until I get to work and log into my bank account. But that's a whole different issue.

This Starbucks (about a block and a half away from another Starbucks--one of the many charms of living in a metropolis) is offers consistently great customer service and a friendly, attractive staff. And who doesn't appreciate a hot barista (though most don't stick around long). An added bonus of this Starbucks? It's the only one in the city located in a super-luxury condo building. Personally, I like to sit in a comfy chair, sitting on my Egg Nog latte and pretending that I live upstairs.

I normally wouldn't bother writing a review for someplace as generic as a Starbucks, but the staff here is so amazingly friendly and quick that I had to give them a shout out. It's sadly becoming more uncommon to find people in food service who aren't giving you attitude or busy checking their cell phones or whatever these days, but the baristas here not only don't do this, they also completely respect the urgency of the long lines and I've NEVER encountered any of them in a bad mood!

Baristas are always friendly and the coffee is consistently good. Indoor/outdoor seating adds bonus points. As some other users said, it's a Starbucks. And it does it's job well!

A Starbucks is a Starbucks, but this is definitely a much better alternative to the hellhole on 34th/Walnut.

There's nothing like quiet time at Starbucks. Good coffee, great music (at this location at least), and decent artwork. The baristas worked quickly and were friendly. I like that there is a good selection of seating, from couches to individual booth seating. FREE WI-FI is always a plus as well. My coffee was made correctly and tasted pretty good. I didn't even use sugar like I usually do.

Despite how crazy and busy they get in the store, the staffs are always so nice and attentive ! You know how when there is a long line and you are the person that orders a drink with all kind of requests (aka me) and you feel bad and the cashier is probably giving you an attitude, well this never happens at this place ! How lovely.
