This location is always thriving, but the service is always top notch Went to try the raved new Cinammon Roll Frap, and it came out more coffee-y than reviews I seen online. My husband and I switched, and I got the Cocoa Caramel. Tasted like ice cream!

I've been to this Starbucks location for more than a year now. The staff are nice, the remember my name and my order. It's been a great experience. Their new setup where people are waiting for their drinks, can be a little disorganized. But overall it is a good place. Until this morning 9/2/2015 10.30AM when I'm ordered a grande soy latte 130. The lady behind the cashier couldn't hear me clearly so I repeat "Grande Soy Latte 130" and she asked, what is 130. Then I told her Kids Temperature and she said not to yell at her and she gave me an attitude. This lady should not serving any customers with that kind of attitude.

Prime location and pretty fast service. I like what they did after renovating the place. Seems a lot bigger and the line forms in a nice organized fashion instead of having ppl stand all up in a customers private space lol

People who worked there were very nice and made the drinks in a timely manner and they were also right on the money with them as well, which made it , soooo much better. Also there is so seating area in there.

Parking is a challenge because it's so busy. Outlets to work off of are not easily accessible like at other locations. I don't think I'll be back here anytime soon. I don't like the layout here. Havertown is so much better in that regard.

I go to this Starbucks every morning and it's either a hit or miss depending on who's making your drink that day. Parking is a challenge also because there is not many spots and its in a shopping center with other stores taking spots up also.

I really enjoy working here when I need a change of scenery and love the easy access via car, bike, public transit, etc. Although I live close enough to walk, I am sometimes skeptical about walking with my laptop, phone, etc. so the option to drive and park for free keeps me coming back! It feels like a neighborhood coffee shop even though it's a chain store. The baristas are always super friendly and a few of them have made an effort to remember my name. My favorite is the Berry Hibiscus Refresher--unlike anything at any other coffee shop! Love it and will be back!

If you like Starbucks coffee, you already know the menu, and you know the environment, so no need to tell you how great my Caramel Macchiato was. Being a coffee shop that has all the uniformity of restaurant chain, the only thing I found worthy to review is the quality of service and cleanliness. That said, I really like this Starbucks. The line moves quick because they know how to staff properly, and it's relatively clean given the amount of traffic that comes through. The baristas appear to actually enjoy their job(unlike the McDonalds workers down the street), which could be seen clearly from the smiles on their faces. They got my order right, but that could be due to the simplicity of my drink. My great experience here was mostly surprising to me because the neighborhood is usually crawling with homeless, littered with trash, and surrounded by neglected brownstones-not the civic pride I'm used to seeing. Spend some time in South Philly, and you'll see why this is pretty rare experience.

Good service! Kinda slow but understandable because I went there early in the morning and only 1 barista during the rush hours

Love this Starbucks! Great, friendly service and a nice sense of community as well. Really convenient parking, when it's available. The parking lot is often full.

The espresso shots weren't as strong as they usually are in other Starbucks locations. I found this disappointing, since I really needed the shots to wake myself up for a long drive.

In the land of Bada Bing there was a Starbucks that became South Philly's thriving cooperate coffee spot. Still great smiles and fast service but I've got the same bitch. Even with more seats and a polished appearance there is nowhere to sit. The new look has you on top of each other even more. Is this the old Melrose Diner back in the day? I don't want to share space with people I don't know or impose on their territory, since these natives feel they've got to claim 2 tables and 4 chairs just to surf the cyber wave of free internet porn. I am sadly disappointed with the feng shui here. For all that they spend in the glam appearance they could buy a bigger building or just open an additional store down there other end of South Philly. However, I still like this java joint and give them snaps for their courageous beanery efforts of improvement. Much love to you Starbucks South Philly and your new stylized look!

The coffee was fine but there is only one bathroom for a large cafe. I waited for about 15 min in a long line right nxt to where u pick up your coffee :/ when i finally went in the bathroom was a nightmare. It was covered in layers of grime. A toilet plunger lay on its side on the floor. There was blood on the floor and hair, lots and lots of hair like someone had trimmed their hair all over the sink. It smelled awful and i left nauseated n wouldn't even touch the sink to wash my hands. 4$ for a drink= clean the bathroom!!!

Enjoying a nice pick me up. Starbucks speaks for itself. Customer service is impeccable. My greentea frap is yummy. Great parking spot and super clean. 5 stars all the way. Just wish the prices go down.

Really Yelp...u want me to review a starbucks? No way. haha. Not many seats..always busy because it is the only South Philadelphia Starbucks. Try green tea frappacino, pumple spice latte (unfortunately this is seasonal here). This Starbucks use to be my pharmacy school quiet study spot before it got real busy. Feeling nostalgic.

I can't believe I'm reviewing Starbucks but here I am. This place is a panic attack waiting to happen. It's always so damn crowded with little seating. You literally have to steal seats sometimes. You're also rushed ordering because of this. The service is decent though and well, it's Starbucks.

I'm with the first reviewer that this is not the best Starbucks to stop at. There is a nicer one down the street. I stopped to use the restroom and ordered two tall strawberry frappachino's. I'm not sure if they put any strawberries in here. The drink was not the usual pink color that it is at other Starbucks and it only tasted lightly of maybe strawberry syrup. Not worth the $7 I paid.

Contrary to other's rating. My experience here was decent. The only problem is that seats are often taken or too tight. Wish that there were more chairs and space.

As soon as I open my eyes in the morn, I put on shoes, brush the teeth and head here for my morning jolt. The staff are friendly and we always chat it up. This particular Starbucks is always bustling so finding a seat may be hard - but I don't stay, I get my drink to go. The staff know what my drink is by now, so I don't even have to tell them. There are reviews saying that the condiment bar is "dirty". Because this Starbucks is always busy, it's tough for the staff to come out every second to clean the condiment bar. And to be honest, the people who use the condiment bar are slobs. I've stood at the bar fixing my drink and have watched people make a mess. One lady made a complete mess then had the nerve to yell, "um, someone needs to come and clean this mess!". I wanted to throw my drink on her. But yes, the staff do come out when they have a second to clean the bar and to even sweep the floor. Cut them some slack, people. The one thing I hate is the parking lot. It's small and you share it with the loserville- junkie Quest medical facility patients. These ghetto fabulous people think they are better than you and decide to just double park in the lot and not move. So, to save yourself a brawl which may leave some weave on the ground, park on the street at a meter. Other than that, I love my friendly, neighborhood Starbucks : )

Every person that is a part of the staff at this Starbucks is really friendly and helpful. They always get my drinks right and strike up a conversation, I used to go in there a lot. It's usually clean. If you don't go in there during a rush, it's a nice place to sit down and relax. This is my favorite Starbucks location in Philadelphia. Every other location has been disappointing.

Though this is my neighborhood location, I've never ventured here until this past week. My favorite drink was made to perfection (green tea latte) and there wasn't an issue with anybody inside. Do wish they had more seating or atleast outlets. No other issues.

Not a big Starbucks fan. Find a real neighborhood coffee shop or get your coffee from Mickey D's down the street. I do remember hanging there when I was teen. We thought we were so cool. Good times.

Ugh. From worse to worser... Went in this morning for a few drinks. Condiment bar was gross; luckily, I didn't need it today. My order (I get this all the time, so I know I didnt mess up): Venti no-water Chai & a grande extra-caramel caramel macchiatto. First was the Chai. "Non-fat no-water chai" said the barista. (She's also the manager!) I politely told her I ordered a no-water chai, not non-fat, and she took it back, made a new one. Next drink was the extra caramel macchiatto. She called it a "Grande non-fat extra caramel macchiatto." I again informed her that it was not non-fat, to which she replied that it wasnt non-fat. And I said that isnt what you called. And she said, rudely, "Listen to what I'm saying. It isnt non-fat." Ok then... Eff this place.
