The baristas were extremely friendly. They even recommended me certain drinks but didn't recommend the most expensive ones. The service was quick but I wasn't cut off or anything. Great coffee experience

Bobby Barista, you think your funny but your comments are nothing short of being a douche. Customer asked a simple question "What year did this store open" it doesn't require 18 douche like responses. Thanks but no thanks Philly Resident and Starbucks Client

Going to Starbucks today was the best! The barista made the greatest recommendation for a special frapuccino and it was just perfect.

Wonderful service, happy baristas at this location, and ample seating to sit and relax while getting your caffeine fix and your day started. It's very conveniently located near lots of different apartment buildings in the area, which gives it a homey neighborhood feel. I visited multiple times while staying in the area and was never even close to disappointed with my coffee, snacks, or service. Also, I made the star dash! hooray for free money to buy more coffee!

Best Starbucks in the city, imho. Baristas are so nice- every single one of them! Sometimes, yes a drink gets messed up but they quickly fix it with no questions asked. Best people watching window on a Saturday morning and I love sitting outside at the round tables with an iced vanilla coffee in the summer!

I think it comes from being a regular here, but I think the service at this Starbucks is just tops. I don't know every barista I encounter, but there are enough there that we do know that make coming into this Starbucks a pleasant encounter every time I go. I usually just get the plain drip coffee, usually a "tall Pike" (which stands for Pike Place, their signature blend). But sometimes I branch out to an unsweetened black tea lemonade or a fat free latte. And they get their drinks right 99% of the time. When they don't, you get a coupon for a free drink later AND they'll remake your drink. In a flash. A few times I've been here and there's been a line out the door, but they serve people quickly and efficiently, so it never holds you up for too long. Special props to manager Macha, who always has a smile on her face and is ready to help. Her and her staff do great things everyday, and I wish everyone appreciated their baristas a little bit more!

Wow...definitely surprised this spot doesn't have a better rating. I affectionately refer to this Starbucks as "MY Starbucks" (a la Braveheart with the crazy Irishman..."What do you mean, 'your island?" - "Yes...Ireland...IT'S MINE." The one at the Bellevue is closer but the line is forever and my order is always wrong. The one at 16th and Walnut has the rudest staff ever. But this one...friendliest crew no matter what...my drink takes a little long? I don't even say anything and the manager hands me a coupon for a free drink at my next visit. Can't give it five stars purely for that reason...sometimes you're standing there in an empty store and your iced coffee takes a strangely long amount of time. And I miss Cafe Hausbrandt :(.

I'm a regular here and I'm always surprised at how distant the servers are even though I've been coming in for almost two years. Chilly service aside I like the space and the atmosphere for reading etc.

Living a convient block away, I don't even want to know how much money I spend here per week, but I am a happy customer :) The service is always on point. The manager (her name is slipping my mind) is always incredibly sweet and positive with high energy while the rest of the baristas follow suit. It's nice that they already know what I want and we can chat about our lives. The more personable the experience the better. The only reason I didn't give this location 5 stars is because they don't have a doggie leash holder which becomes clutch in nicer weather. And I do prefer to work from their 19th and Spruce location instead because the vibe there is more relaxed. Sorry guys! But I still keep coming back here.

This is a nice Starbucks, but it's always very COLD in this location. The staff doesn't seem to care that everyone who is sitting there is wearing their coats, scarfs, and gloves (me included) while sipping on their coffee. I understand some coffee shops do that to shush people away when it's crowded, but this store is usually pretty empty. So if you are one of those people who loves to sip your coffee in a 38 F degree place, this is for you. But if you are like me and the majority of people who rather be in a 68-70F store, run away from this place.

It's a Starbucks, you know what their coffee tastes like (meh) and what their prices are like (high). So I'll tell you why this became my Starbucks. They recently renovated the seating and it's a GREAT study spot. Reliable wifi, big tables in the middle, a comfy couch in the corner, and seating all alongside the window (read: convenient outlets and people watching). Huge improvement to the awkward tiny circular tables they had before. It can get randomly crowded sometimes (why any family would decide to bring all their children here for an afternoon or why a mom would bring 8 teens to drink frappucinos is beyond me). The barristas are nice. One of them made fun of me for having been there every day for a week when writing the paper that wouldn't die, I appreciated that he noticed. I still prefer independent coffee shops like Citadelle or Toast, but when I'm too lazy to go that far, this will do. Plus I'm a sucker for that Passion Iced Tea in the summer (get it half sweetened, it's better) and for $1.62 (?) it's pretty good.

I was unimpressed by this location; it suffers from the inner-city Starbucks syndrome patrons may be familiar with in other big cities like New York. It had a resident homeless guy on the days I visited. The staff is a bit defensive as a result. The feng shui is lousy and there aren't a whole lot of good seats. It's not a disaster, but it's also not a particularly good example of this otherwise reliable chain.

The baristas are friendly enough, the coffee is.. well, Starbucks coffee, but the internet connection is absolutely dreadful - comparable to a cell phone and what ultimately led me to look elsewhere. There's usually copious amounts of outlets and seating though with about twelve 2-tops lining the giant wall of windows looking out upon Latimer St (read: dumpsters and a parking garage). Occasionally bums will coddle up next to the window outside and attempt to entertain you with their histrionics. You could add or subtract a star if you are or aren't into that.

Slowest service ever. Staff are too busy talking to each other to serve customers. Bathroom is dark and filthy. Starbucks corporate seriously needs to look into this location.

It's Starbucks. What can you say about any Starbucks that hasn't been said before. So, let me remind you: First, no matter how long you are there, you're going to smell like roasted coffee when you leave. Not the good kind either. Second, why is it sooo expensive!? Third, they do offer sandwiches, wraps, and some other foods, and they are also overpriced. Lastly, there is hardly enough seating for the size of the place-- it's not very convenient if you just want to sit and chat. The service was fine, and the tea & coffee my co-worker and I bought were fine, too. I suggest supporting local coffee shops and businesses over Starbucks. But, I can't say anything terribly bad about this place. It's a Starbucks-- what else could you expect?

A bit chilly, they definitely keep Starbucks well air-conditioned in this little spot close to 15th & Locust. Service was prompt and efficient with the barista and the cashier relatively friendly. Bathrooms were clean. There were a couple nicer seats, but the seating in here leaves something to be desired with the little wooden tables & chairs; free AT&T wifi.

Affectionately known as Charbucks or Fourbucks - we have adopted the slogan of: "Friends don't let friends drink starbucks." Save money by brewing at home with Peregrine Coffee (the BEST) or go to La Colombe or Caffeination.

For the third time in a row, a certain barista sneezed/coughed while handling my drink and did not clean his hands. Grossed. Out. I can't help it. Three times in a row is insane. If you are sick, stay home. And if that's not possible, invest in some tissues and cleanser and stop handling my drinks whilst sneezing and coughing. I don't recall ordering a tall bold with sugar-free vanilla and phlegm.

One of the smallest Starbucks in the city. I've never had a problem with the staff. I just wish this location had better seating. Max is the greatest barista EVER!

#292 This location was a block away from my apartment, in the opposite direction of the one on 16th and Walnut. I always preferred this Starbucks because the crowds were usually smaller and there are plenty of chairs for the hard-work determined. I would say that this place skews toward the student/self-employed laptop-using scene and the noise level is always super low. The employees are generally cordial, but I do have to agree with the slow service. Once, unfortunately, I was also charged $.10 extra on a Caramel Macchiato for no reason and the employee couldn't refund me. Curious. Anyways, I always came here when I needed a caffeine fix and wrote many papers over the weekend.

I don't drink much Starbucks since they got bad quality beans, but the staff at this location is nice. The drinks are below average. What can i say its Starbucks...
