That's right, brace yourself. You no longer have to drive far beyond the reaches of Philadelphia to get your Sonic Fix, they opened one up right in Port Richmond. I know, Port Richmond, but you don't have to drive to Bensalem anymore, HOORAY! It's right in the huge lot where they built a lowes on the corner of Butler and Aramingo. Shakes, Chicken-y things, Fries, FRITO PIES?@1?! Sonic makes every other fast food place it's bitch. I am going there as soon as this review is over, and you better believe I'm going to stuff my face. I leave you with this haiku: When I am empty You fill my heart with lime-aid. Sonic you are great.

Complete crap. Honestly, with how much they've flooded networks with commercials featuring how "awesome" their establishment is you'd think they'd have a little pride in their operation. Food was literally thrown together and entirely unappetizing to the point where for the first time EVER I actually returned food to a fast food place. I had the pleasure of ordering the Steak Melt Toaster and onion rings. I ordered it without mayo which it arrived thrown in a bag with mayo and raw onions on it although advertising with fried onions. Small things folks, but these small things make it completely disgusting. Toaster? Yeah ok, it was regular white bread not toasted. I asked for chicken fingers as a replacement as I figured they could not disguise spit easily on them. The onion rings and chicken both tasted like cardboard. Literally any other fast food place on the entire planet is better than this. Maybe it's just this location. My friend's coke was simply a cup filled with ice. Literally bottom to top ice. Considering fountain soda costs a restaurant about 14 cents a serving you'd think they'd give you a bit more with your 100% mark up payment. Whatever, it's fast food, but it's fast food at its worst.

I am really not a fan of fast food, but I have to say that the Chicago hot dog awesome. Really good combination of flavors and the poppy seed bun just perfectly topped it off.

The food here isn't bad, but it isn't the best. The real treat is the ice cream which I think is comparable to dairy queen. This place is also open 24/7 so it adds to the value being you can get your fix any time night or day! I think if they worked on the flavor of their foods they would get better reviews.

I love this place! Everytime I go here we get great service. I also like that this location is closer to SP than the one in Bensalem. Their slushies and ice cream are great. Everytime I go I try to try something new off the menu and have not been disappointed yet!

Let me just say that I looove me some Sonic! Burgers, mozz sticks, limeades, mmmmm. But this locations suuuccckkksss! We always wind up having to wait to place our orders, like you push the button and it's like, "Hello, hello?" and then after placing your order (finally) it takes forever to come out and is always wrong! After going here about 5 times we gave up and decided it's worth it to drive to the Street Road location and preserve our sanity. Also, every time I go here there's been a homeless guy asking for money, a dude trying to sell something (cds, dvds, etc) or some kinda drama between people. Dude! I just want to eat my Sonic burger in peace!!!

  • Jessica S.

It took 15 minutes to get cold tater tots and the wrong drink delivered right to our car! If you really want sonic, try a different location.

It's 10:12 pm. We arrived in the drive in line at 9:42. That's half an hour. Still waiting on the drive in. Now, yes, I know. Stupid us for waiting all this time. I'll accept that. But half an hour for sub-par food? We certainly will not be back. Hope corporate reads yelp reviews because this location needs serious help.

One big,thirst-quenching, fat-kid approved star for the crushed-ice Ocean Water drink (What flavor is it? Ummm... BLUE!) and Diet Dr. Pepper made even more scrumptious by all that crunchy ice. Another greasy, glossy star for the tater tots, both plain and smothered in "cheese" and chili. These are clearly frozen and just dunked in oil -- pretty hard to screw up -- but that doesn't make them one whit less appealing. Everything else was gross. Cold, chewy, bland, soggy, salty -- just plain unappetizing and yucky. I'm not a snob about fast-food, either -- I can get down with McNuggets and go to town on some Wendy's like whoa -- but this did not compare. Mostly the food was ice-cold, which is so disappointing. The best thing about junk fast food is the fresh-from-the-fryer texture and heat you just can't produce at home. The commercials are cute but the food is rude. Avoid.

Avoid at all costs! If I could give this Sonic location on Butler Street zero stars, I would. We didn't even get our order due to the blatant incompetency of the girl who was supposed to be taking our order. Rude, apathetic, incompetent and barely able to communicate are some adjectives that accurately describe her demeanor. Deplorable lack of customer service. I've been to many Sonic locations around the country and never had to pull away workout completing an order before. The owner of this location should be ashamed to put someone so incapable of basic human interaction on the intercom, and the entire place needs training in customer service basics. I understand this is a fast food drive in, not the Ritz, but you need a minimum of intelligence to work with the public. Complete fail, Sonic.

I HAD to try out this drive in. Ordered the cheeseburger with bacon, chili cheese tots and a strawberry limeade and it was delish! Although the chili cheese tots were a bit too salty for my taste. Service and delivery was quick and staff was extremely friendly. Between two people, we spent about $15, which was really reasonable. Overall, Sonic is a great place if you want to try something new.

This was easily the worst experience I have ever had at any Sonic. I exclusively come here for the frozen drinks. The slushed are amazing on a hot day. But I'll never know about this location. While we sat at the parking spot waiting for someone to pick up and take our order we continued to ponder our slush options. Upon having what sounded like a person talking underwater asking us what we needed, we attempted to order. We placed an order for a medium slush...cherry and lemon. We are told it's a medium cherry lemonade. We do this circular dance for about 30 seconds trying to get her to ACTUALLY listen and take the order properly. After this, I ask if I can get a soda variety as a slush. 30 seconds of silence..."what?"....I repeat the question.....30 more seconds of silence...."anything else?"....I ask if that's a yes or a no....30 more seconds of silence...."an orange fanta slush"...no that's not it and you still haven't answered the question. After all this we just left. I've heard about the deplorable service here and I'll be letting others know about it as well. Good thing there is a Rita's down the street with competent employees. Get your act together...you're embarrassing all of us.

I give the place 3 stars because of the location. I went for the first time last Friday and the place was super crowded! There was old ass Hondas everywhere! I soon realized it was a hang out spot for people showing off their piece of junk cars from the neighborhood. An hour later and the cops came and cleared almost the entire lot. Besides that the food is ok...I only came for the slushies. My advice - go during the day.

Recently came here with my dad and my daughter. The service was terrible with the exception of one individual. Long story short but we ordered a shake to share. Were then told (after we paid) that they couldn't do shakes and they couldn't give a refund. Then told yes, they could do the shake. Our food comes...we finish and still no shake. We wait, and wait and wait. Ask a few times about the status....overall we were there about 45 minutes and no shake. Ask to speak to the manager. He comes out about 5 minutes later and has no clue what's going on, gives us no explanation and no apology. We finally get our money back. Get it together...I can understand if the machine was broken but the experience was ridiculous.

This place sucks. Every time I come they forget something. How do you forget an entire order? The food is mediocre and way over priced. There's always dumb azz kids and old wanna be racers trying to race their rice burners on the street next to sonic. They crowd up the lots and are too rude to move for people who want to try to actually eat something from this dump. I will NEVER come back here. And I'll make sure everyone know how much this place sucks. No wonder it was Shut down last year. Why even bother reopening? Shame on me for giving it another shot.

When you have to wait 15 minutes for an Ocean Water to end up getting a Blue Coconut Sprite...... This location closed once before, they need to close again. An absolute failure in customer service or any service whatsoever!

  • Paul V.

I thought this place was open 24/7? Rolled up at around 10:30pm with workers inside and no one gave me service. This is the 2nd time at this location. Horrible.

  • Charlie T.

Probably not the best date night unless you're seeing a very "enlightened" chick, if you know what I mean. This place it is edgy; Dr. Sonic ain't afraid to take some risks. Throw some chili on a hot dog, deep fry it with some chili and blend that into a smoothie. Now, dump that smoothie on some fries, and blend that. Bacon? Blend it in. Once you're done blending, pour that nonsense in the trash - you're no mix-master like the Sonic Engineers. Service is great, options are endless, and the movie choices are sub-par. Go for the bahn mi, stay for the love.

Avoid at all costs!!! (especially on Friday and Saturday evenings after 8 p.m.) Local hang out spot for a ton of bad drivers with bad attitudes in their horrible cars. I would know. I'm one of them. Crowded areas filled with "Honda heads" usually attract ignorant people wanting to do burn-outs, donuts and wheelies. Food is horrible and over-priced. Drinks are unique. EXTREMELY slow drive-thru only after certain hour.
