Ive eaten at this sushi bar 4 times. The sushi is really good for a mall food court. The employees are super welcoming and always acknowledge you right away. The service is fast. I really enjoy the e rainbow roll amd miso soup. Fills me up. I love this place. Would highly recommend!

This is my first time eating their sushi. I ordered the Sakru Roll. I have a family friend who owned a sushi bar, so I learned a thing or two about how to make sushi. I'm usually disappointed at these take-out/to-go sushi places because they can't even roll the rice correctly. However, I was not disappointed at all at the Sakru Roll. It is sooo good and it's like $8ish. I would definitely come back to this place. The place is located inside the Liberty Shop at the second floor in their food court area. Parking: street/garage. Price range: $4-$9 (unless you order the big party tray).

I'm updating my review from last year, from 3 stars to 4! (Again, for SUSHI ONLY): Mall court to-go sushi is winning me over. Why? Well, just the fact you can get sushi from a mall court, quickly, and not get sick is a winner already. Many people are scared to eat sushi from a food court, but don't be. I eat here at least once every 1-2 weeks for lunch since its right near my office. Every time is fast, easy, consistent, and delicious. I always order the raw sushi; tuna, salmon, as rolls, as sushi, or as maki. One of my complaints from last year was the bento boxes are a rip off, but not anymore! They dropped the prices, you can now get a bento box as cheap as $7.50, or, the more expensive ones with salmon or tuna are only $8.99. Yes! Finally a good bento box for less than $10. I'm happy. They still do California roll free samples, and they just started the frequent buyer cards again, so you can get a free California roll after 5 entree purchases. I love that! I will continue to eat here all the time. I'm a regular by now!

Service is friendly, but the sushi is sub-par. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and I was not satisfied. There are much better places to get sushi. Their prices are below average so I guess you get what you pay for. I do not recommend.

(This review is for the sushi bar only.) It's really not bad for food court sushi. I found that everything I ordered (shrimp tempura roll, rainbow roll, alaska roll) was made very well and tasted fresh. It's a bit disorganized, especially at the usual peak lunch times, and sometimes your receipt won't match what you actually ordered (which definitely causes confusion). Plus it's not cheap. Not that sushi should ever be cheap, but these prices are comparable to ones you would find in restaurants. I saw that the rainbow roll came with spicy mayo. I asked for no spicy mayo and also requested no mayo at all on it. Unfortunately, my roll wound up having mayo, which was a disappointment, but not a huge deal. Next time I'll know not to order it again, or make sure I check it before I leave.

I've been moving around the world a lot, there's a lot of Sarku of Japan in Boston (where I am originally from) and I've always love their chicken teriyaki, white rice, with steams vegetables. I haven't had one for 3 years since today. I never really like anything else on the menu, such as sushi, shrimp or beef teriyaki (which I've tried all). However, their signature chicken teriyaki never fails to satisfy me. The only negative thing is that it is always cash only, wherever you go. I'm glad I've found one close in the city.

I eat at their Sushi bar more frequently than at the other Sarku Space F-13. They have Bento Boxes and Teriyaki dishes at the restaurant location so my update is on the restaurant side. I tried the Salmon Deluxe Bento Box. It has Shrimp Tempura, Vegetable Tempura, Gyoza, choice of white rice or fried rice, 4 pieces of California Roll. It was very tasty, you watch them prepare and saute your fish or meat. They add more teriyaki sauce, if requested. This is located in the middle where the food court is, the Sushi bar is in front of food court. You get a lot for your money $8.99 - $9.89 (depending on which fish/meat you choose). They are fast for a bust lunch time crowd. The salmon was cooked just enough and had the right amount of Teriyaki. Everything else was delicious as well. I was very full and happy. I will come again. it's a good deal if you like Japanese food.

I really miss our fast food teppanyaki place back home, Edo Japan, which closed abruptly one horrific day. I was craving ramen on this particular day, but rice also satisfied my Asian stomach. ATMOSPHERE: It's a typical takeout counter in the food court inside The Shops At Liberty Place. FOOD: Teriyaki chicken - Steamed white rice & cabbage with grilled slices of chicken. The chicken tasted great, however this dish lacked sorely in the veggie department. Just cabbage? Where's the bean sprouts, carrots and broccoli? Very boring dish. Chicken yakisoba - It looks nothing like the pictured yellow noodles. They had the noodles pre-soaking in some teriyaki sauce so it was dark brown, mushy and very over-flavored. Gross. SERVICE: It was pretty efficient actually. The line moved quickly. OVERALL: The chicken tastes great but the accompaniments need lots of work.

They give you lots of food. It's the main reason why I give them a 4 star rating. Food is alright... Best thing I like about them is the fact that I got to sample the meats or veggies before buying so I know what I am getting myself into. Try it out.

Hibachi: decent prices for the portions you receive, and the service tends to be quick even during the rush of lunchtime. Sushi: meh, it's ridiculously expensive and not that good - but if you need a sushi fix and don't have time to go anywhere else, I guess it'll do the trick. The spicy tuna roll is a scary bright orange. Two rolls of sushi will cost you more than a teriyaki chicken lunch at the hibachi side of the shop.

Regretfully, the worst sushi I've ever had. The ginger was completely dried out and rubbery, the wasabi stale, the spicy tuna roll was smashed with some rolls being completely deformed. The tuna itself lacking much flavor and minced beyond recognition. I know it's Liberty One mall food, but how hard can providing even a mediocre roll be? There are other choices in this part of downtown Philly.

This place is great for lunch! They make sushi rolls fast - the volcano roll is amazing - shrimp tempura topped with spicy tuna!! Just an FYI though, they don't take AMEX which was annoying since I was traveling for work... Also, it is in the mall food court so perfect if people can't agree on what to eat!

This restaurant is actually divided into two stands in the mall. One for sushi and one for hibachi. The sushi here is very cheap and quite good! My friend and I get something here whenever we're at Liberty Place. I would give Sarku 5 stars if it was just sushi. The hibachi was a failure. My friend got the shrimp and beef fried rice and it was worse than regular chinese restaurant fried rice. 2 stars for this.

**This review is for the hibachi side of the restaurant only. Talk about epic fail. My shrimp teriyaki was completely flavorless. I had to dump 2 packets of soy sauce over my plate to make it bearable. If you must order the hibachi meals, I suggest you tell the chef to pour some teriyaki sauce directly on the meat as he serves it. Looking at the previous reviews, sushi is pretty good here. Go with that. Steer clear of the unpalatable hibachi.

It's mall sushi - and believe it or not - it's safe and decent. My 5 year old loves the "free examples" (that's what she calls free samples) of the Cali roll. Last time we got her a whole order of California rolls and asked the guy to cut them into 8 instead of 6 pieces (which he kindly did) and she ate them ALL. Note: I have never had any Nigiri here (I'm too scared/food-snobby) but for a cooked maki - no problema!

I eat here more often than I'd like to admit. It's quick, decent, and you get a nifty little card (once you buy 5 combos you get one free!). Just be sure to ask for extra sauce.

I'm not sure we would have gone here if not for the lady at the counter screaming "Bento! Bento!" but pretty happy we did. The boyfriend had a chicken bento box that also came with a few pieces of California roll, coleslaw salad, and a spring roll. I picked on everything but the chicken and heartily approve. I had their vegetarian option, which included rolls with pickled vegetables and inari, all of which was surprisingly delicious and filling. For about $16, we managed to walk away pleasantly full. I'm tempted to give them four stars in terms of value for money, but at the end of the day it's still mall sushi. If I end up there again, I'll probably order my food to go.

It is a food court restaurant, but the quality is there. The team that prepares the sushi is well above mall grade, but the fact that it is a mall takes away from the quality of fish. Had they been in a sit down restaurant, I think the that aspect would improve, but the prices do not dictate the product that you receive.

Better than Not half bad Sushi. Quick, Fresh, and that lady who always yells out "Yummy, Yummy, Sushi!" is pretty darn convincing. $6.99 will get you two good rolls and you'll be on your way. The dragon roll is really good.

Their rice platters really big, and the food isn't all that flavorful. Their shrimp tempera is good, pretty cheap. Overall, I wouldn't go back

Great place to go when you're on the run or shopping around at Liberty Place and are craving some sushi...surprisingly it's good and I have no complaints about it!

Surprisingly fresh and delicious lunch time sushi at the mall. Always friendly, if not frighteningly prompt, the staff aims to please. The salmon is particularly tasty, and it's great for a quick bite to eat for lunch.
