Potbelly's is a nice little sandwich shop if you're in a pinch. Today we stopped in the City Avenue location for the Big Wreck, my husband's favorite. I opted for the Uptown Salad and a cup of Chili on the side. Granted, they don't have a pretty basic basic menu, what they do have is very tasty. They do have a large variety of extras that you can request be added to your sandwich or salad so you can have your sandwich made to your liking. Unfortunately, we don't stop in as much as we used to. Even though we like the sandwiches their pricing is a little high for what you get. Pricing aside, the guys at the counter were very friendly, and I do love their chocolate brownie cookies! Overall, Potbelly is great for a "once in a while" lunch or dinner treat, especially if you don't feel like cooking that night, but if price is an issue for you, you may want to try another sandwich spot.

I wasn't really blown away by Potbellys. To begin with, I felt that there menu was rather basic. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and there was only one sandwich that didn't include meat. She ended up getting a chickpea salad and I got a ham and cheese sub. I was disappointed by the lack of options for topping on the sandwich. They didn't even have honey mustard or vinegar! Both the sandwich and the salad were tasty but nothing really spectacular. I felt that both were overpriced given the quantity and quality of food. On the plus side, the girl at the front was extremely friendly. She felt bad that they didn't have the vegetable soup that was advertised so she gave us a free cookie. She was very kind and polite. The place itself was clean but kind of randomly decorated. Overall I don't think I'll be going back to Potbelly. it's just not worth the money!

I don't particularly love Potbellys sandwiches (though I know a lot of people think they're delicious), but I do love their insanely huge cookies/brownie bars and potato chips. That being said, Potbellys is a good addition to the other restaurants in this little strip-mall-ish type place on City Ave. The employees are friendly and the prices are okay. I personally prefer CPK or Chipotle when I'm in the area, but if you're looking for a quick sandwich Potbellys isn't a bad option.

This is my first time at Potbellys. The food is good but not great. I was expecting more savoury food. Then my sandwich was like $7 and only tasted worth $5. Maybe I ordered the wrong sandwich.

This place is pretty good. The sandwiches are similar to Subway, but made a lot better, in my opinion. And I'm a huge fan of the milkshakes! I'd go here just for those. But the sandwhiches are totally worth it too. The place is a little tricky to get to, you have to pull around the back, park in the garage, and then walk back around the building and down some stairs. But its not really all that inconvenient. This is a good place to grab a quick lunch if you don't have a whole lot of time for a sit-down meal.

Unfortunately, this Potbelly Sandwich Shop has closed. Their food was definitely good. That wasn't the problem. Its entrance was completely separate from the other eateries facing the Target parking garage. Not enough foot traffic along that part of City Avenue.

I really dislike potbellys. They don't have a large menu. My sandwich was small and I satisfying. I went once and will not be returning.

In a land of Philly cheesesteaks, you have to have a pretty compelling sandwich. Nothing really wrong with this place. Just nothing really new or novel. Clean, modern, clean washrooms.

Eh... It is all I can say. Walked in to a ghost town and it was NOON. Worker sitting on counter when I walked in. No hello from either of the guys there. Felt like I was imposing to order. Worker never even got off the counter when I ordered through when I paid. 15minutes later....he is still there. Sandwich is mediocre...average . They toasted bread but meat is cold and warm in spots. Kind of a turn off. Girl behind counter was very nice though.

This place is essentially Quizno's with slightly better food and a less fast-foody atmosphere. The menu is very limited and consists mostly of about 10 different types of sandwiches, as well as milkshakes and ice cream. They don't seem to do one thing that Quizno's does that sceezes me out. Some of the meats at Quizno's get put in a little plastic basket and dipped in what looks like hot, dirty mop water before being put on your sandwich. Didn't observe this at Potbelly.

Just looking at the take-away menu for this shop made me want to try it. When I finally had the chance to stop in, unfortunately i wasn't very hungry so i didn't try a sandwich. I did however get a salad which was very tasty and quite large. As other reviewers noted, the location is tricky. It's not easily noticed just driving around, in fact we had to call to ask where they were. A sign closer to the main shopping center directing people would be likely to draw more business to them. The inside is large and comfy, definitely better then subway or quiznos. staff was friendly. oh and they have 'my little ponies' behind the counter :-) Another yea for smaller businesses!

This three star rating is pulled up from the one star I want to give it today because of better past experiences. The lunch I had today was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. The roast beef in my sandwich was vile. Simply put, it was one big wad of chewy crap. For reasons unbeknownst to me, there were also random pieces of raw carrot in my roll. The only saving grace was that the trash can was in an arm's length of my seat. The main reason I went to Pobelly today was because I convinced myself the weather mandated milkshake drinking. Even this was disappointing. It was very uneven. Typically, Potbelly is nothing to write home about. They make decent sandwiches at an affordable price but there are plenty of better option around. After today's experience, I plan to stick to those other options for the foreseeable future.

I am reviewing Potbellys for my wife. She was pick-pocketed of her iPhone and wallet during lunch with coworkers, and when she notified the store manager he didn't care one bit. Awful customer service and human decency. On another note her chicken salad sandwich was flavorless

It's ok. If you can find a Subway...you'll be better off. The prices are a bit more expensive than Subway. And not because the sandwiches are bigger. Even so, this location was clean, quick, and friendly. Good for lunch when you want fresh ingredients on a sub.

I got used to potbelly living in the mid-west a few years back and was happy to find this location on city ave. It was lunch time and the place was not busy so maybe the idea has not taken off but the sandwich was very good just as i remembered it.

I went in there hungry so I ordered the meatball sandwich and a bowl of chili and it was a let down. The meatballs were fake and from a box and the chili had that phony sweetness which makes me think its from a canI found it to be expensive too.It bothers me because Mazzoni's deli is only a few minutes away and they have real delicious homemade chili for alot lower price and a far superior meatball sandwich. The staff here was extremely nice and quick I just have a problem with the food itself

Crazy good sandwiches (I love me some smoked turkey with swiss!) but as far as the atmosphere goes...not so much. Getting there is a little loopy - you have to walk around the building, down the outside stairs and next to busy, busy City Ave. I was there for lunch and there was an acoustic performance going on, which is cool for sure but just not at lunch. It was so loud (with said music as well as the hustle, bustle and chaos of the noontime crowd) that the people behind the counter couldn't hear me & I couldn't hear them. After repeating my order about 5 times the sandwich was made to order (pretty quickly, too, I might add) but instead of hanging out there as planned I paid, threw it in my purse and scooted out of there for the quiet respite of my car. I'll try again for sure, but I hope they save the musical performances for a later time slot.

It's ok. Average small toasted sandwiches. The menu looked like it had some good sandwich combos. I got a sandwich and a drink for under $6. Not sure what there theme is, but it's interesting inside. I look at it as something to eat with no destination items. Depending on the time of day, it may be easier to park at Commerce Bank.

A Chicago original. The subs are tasty and the service was great. The potato salad is full of vinegar and has a nice bite.

This place is great for a sandwich and a milkshake. The sandwiches, especially the "skinny" sandwiches, are great. The hot peppers are better than most places and the store is not over priced like a lot of nicer fast food places. Try the mushroom melt... it's fabulous!

Really great sandwiches. The sandwiches look kind of small but don't be fooled...they will fill you up. It's a great place to grab a quick and tasty lunch. The employees are always pleasant.

Upscale hoagie chain with decent soups, cookies, and shakes. Potbelly is definitely better than Quizno's or Subway, but its not the world's greatest hoagie. Try a "Wreck on wheat," and be sure to get a cup of chili loaded. The employees at this location do a great job.
