Quick stop for a couple of slices and a drink on the way to a meeting. The shop was nice in a slightly dated sort of way, and the kitchen was out front where everyone could see what was happening. The service was friendly and prompt, as I told my waitperson I had a short time to get to my destination. She complied. The plain pizza slices were decent, but no better than what would pass for average in my part of the world. Crust was firm enough to hold up its weight, but not overly crisp. The sauce and cheese were okay, but not distinct. Certainly a reasonable place to have lunch in the Far Northeast. The dinner menu would be worth a try if in the area. Thanks for lunch!

The pizza wasn't so bad but the service sucks! The lady wasn't nice at all, she got upset at me cause the pizza that I order was a large one and honestly it look more of a medium size pizza. So I said "oh that's the large pizza" and her reply back to me was in a smart way "well I did ask you over the phone if you wanted a 14 inch or 18 inch" I wasn't mad when I said that and that was my first time at that restaurant but I surely don't expect rudeness. I won't be going back. I wasn't going to order from them due to the bad reviews on here but I wanted to experience it for myself and yep rude people there.

I have been going tp Pats for more then 30 years. I had lunch with Pat himself many times. It was was once the best place to eat fresh cocked to order pastas without tablecloth prices. Great service also. But now that the kids are running it and it has changed big time. Prices are up, quantity is down. The girls working the dining room are always smiling but they are being abused. I was there last week and the manager was yelling at a server like she was a prison guard. Nobody deserves to be yelled at like that. Not when customers have to deal the a crying service person. I guess I will be looking for a new lunch spot to have a relaxing 45 minutes instead of seeing abuse. Pat must be rolling over in his grave.

Other than Vince's this is the best pizza in Far NE Philly. Prices are a little high, but it's worth it for a good pizza. I order from here often.

I will give them 5 stars for the food but only 2 stars for the decor. The food is phenomenal, the downside is that you are paying decent restaurant style prices while sitting in pizza place style booths that have duct tape on them because they haven't been updated or replaced in years. Overall though the food is spot on as a top notch italian restaurant. The pescatore, mussels fra diavo, and stuffed flounder are to die for. It's all about the food! Pizza is great too.

The food here is good. Nothing really too special. Pizza is their claim to fame. Probably some of the best in the area. The mozzarella sticks are also very good if youre looking for something before your main meal. Staff is friendly enough, but the place is always just a little.dirty everytime I come here. Dirty floor and the like. But if you want a decent slice , Pat's isn't a bad choice.

Great homemade Caesar salad. Husband likes steak sandwiches and I like their flounder marinara. We don't like their meatballs though. We have ordered from them frequently and most of their dishes are deli-sh.

It's a very difficult rating to give. I would give it 4 maybe even 5 stars for food and price if Pats used standard delivery practices. I personally believe they deliver to whichever area they want to...maybe areas that have shown continued support throughout the years...however, like others I have ran into this quandary of the mythological "delivery area" (side eye). When I first moved to Pa I lived an 8 minute walk (Woodhaven and Academy) from my door to their pizzeria. Often I would walk or drive but this would sometimes be ANNOYING. Those particular annoying moments would be like times of rain, sleet, snow, party hosting and/or cocktail socials. Anyone I asked in that entire area said that they weren't part of the Pat's delivery area. I really did find this puzzling as I never seen this before in NJ. Even recently (today) I called because I moved and they still don't deliver where I am...smh Other than my qualm about their delivery system in which I do not understand and yes they do make deliveries...(I use to see the delivery guy making many deliveries as I used to wait...)I love the place and miss living close by. The staff and workers were always very polite. I am originally from NJ and their pizza is one of the best tasting quality pizzas I have tasted so far since my 7 year stint in Philly...it is the closest to the best NY and NJ pizzas I love back home. There Stromboli's and the rest of their cuisine everything always has been EXCELLENT!!!! But when I think about the dreaded nights where I feened for them but did not feel like driving or walking (my complex was literally 5 minutes away.) Or even now when they don't deliver a ten minutes drive away I want to give them one star ... They are like that soup Nazi from Seinfeld when they told me No. So They only receive 3 stars because I can't get their delicious cuisine without having to get it myself... :-(.

i agree with others on foursquare, yelp and google reviews. this place has the worse service in the world!!! they just missed out on a 60.00 order due to their rude order takers!!! called and was on hold for 12 minutes. called back and the girl immediately said hold please. i explained i was just on hold for 12 minutes and wanted to know if it would be longer. after blowing her breath, she asked what did i want. i proceeded to give my order but, before i could tell her what i wanted on the steaks she says, what else do you want? as i was about to ask if i could tell her how i wanted the steaks before adding to my order she hung up on me. i promptly called back and asked why she had to be so rude since, i did not yell or curse and wasn't rude about being on hold for 12 minutes. her response was that i didn't tell her what else i wanted so, sorry, she hung up. what an arrogant little twit. i told her i was sorry as well since she just blew revenue for her boss. gaetanos has way better steaks anyway and they have never been rude.

Wish I could rate their food, but their delivery service leaves alot to be desired. Staying at the Courtyard on Street Rd, and they say they don't deliver 'that far'. 2.5 miles is too far to go for delivery? Very odd. Oh well, back to Bella's it is.

I've been going to Pat's since I was a little girl and nothing has changed. From the 70's style signs above the takeout counter to the actual employees themselves, everything here is exactly as it was when I was a child. It was a special treat back then to go and sit in the full service side of the restaurant and listen to my parents reminisce about growing up in the area, and it's still a treat today. Anyone who knows the far northeast can tell you that, when things change up there it usually means an influx of chain restaurants and college bars. You won't find any Olive Garden-esque fake Tuscan food here, or any drunk co-eds. What you will get is a healthy portion of comfort food served to you by a neighborhood lady with a smile. On my most recent visit, I had the chicken parm, which was crispy, cheesy and not over sauced. For about $12, I got two chicken breasts, a huge portion of spaghetti, garlic bread, homemade minestrone soup, and an, admittedly, sad garden salad. It was a really good deal, to say the least, and very tasty. This is the kind of place that I want to see survive the economic crisis and maintain its status as a neighborhood gem.

I have been going here since I moved into the area.... The pasta is great.... I think that they are over priced on their cheesesteaks though.

i used to go to pats every sunday after church service.. their pizza is the only thing i ever get from there because i think their other food doesnt sound very good AND personally it sounds a little expensive.. even tho compared to other restaurants its VERY cheap... its the quality of the food. the last time i've gone there was when my soccer team had a pizza party there which was almost a year ago.. that shows you how much i "love" their food...
