I haven't been to Milano's since they changed owners about a year ago. The place looks really nice and super clean. I ordered the veggie supreme and all the vegetables were FRESH! I was so happy to see that. The only downside was that I didn't feel there was enough sauce. Next time I'll mention more sauce - but the guys behind the counter were really nice and attentive and I'm def. going to come back:)

Milanos has a respectable showing of vegetarian options: Veggie Wraps, Pizza and Burgers. I ordered their veggie burger, which was okay. The service was also good. It's also nice that they have LevelUp. The prices are also very reasonable. And there are a large seating area on the second floor.

I want to preface this review by explaining how badly an establishment has to piss me off, or perplex me, for me to actually take the time to write a bad review. I will keep this short because I honestly don't even want to give this place any more time of my life, let alone my business. We just ordered a Stromboli, a 12" pizza, and a chocolate peanut butter cake. When repeating my order, he said, chocolate cake, and I quickly made sure to correct him. Sure enough, order arrives with the chocolate cake. No big deal. I called and explained the confusion, and he begin to explain that they don't have a chocolate peanut butter cake, and never did. That's a great story; then take it off your menu, and don't speak to me like I'm crazy and ordering things that don't exist. I then realized that we also received the wrong size pizza. We got a 10". Again, no big deal, but we were charged for a 12", and if it hadn't been for the previous issue, I would have probably let it go. Here's where it gets fun... When I explained to them that they gave me the wrong size, after placing me on hold, the man came back and told me that his cook would like to come see the box, because he swears he gave me a 12". I beg your pardon? He wants to come inspect the box, and then make a decision? Am I hearing this utter nonsense correctly? Also, what establishment rudely backs up their cook and basically calls the customer a liar? Excellent business ethic, guys. Good work. I gave it 2 stars because the food is actually not terrible. Also, their delivery guy was the sweetest man in the world. He apologized when things were clearly not his fault. He seemed like the only one who actually cared about your customers. Super turned off. Never again.

I'm not gonna lie the pizza is dry lacking flavor or sauce :( Service was just alright Seem like nice people but they need to put some more appreciation into the quality of their food

Got the grilled chicked Ceasar salad wrap which has hot and fresh, it was really tasty and a great deal at only $6!

Ordered two plain pies 30 minutes prior to them closing yesterday for a group of friends and I. Once the pizza was brought back we were all so hungry and immediately had a slice. As soon as I took a bite I noticed that the dough was not cooked fully. When you lifted up the pizza it would hang straight down due to the fact is wasn't cooked all the way. The girls and I continued to have another slice though since we were starving. Big mistake. 30 minutes later we all felt so sick from the dough now being cooked fully. All 5 of us were sick and needing to vomit up that disgusting meal. We were all disappointed to get sick for the night as we were celebrating a friends birthday and meeting up with friends from out of the area. Thanks Milano for serving improperly cooked pizza and rushing before close. Thanks for making us sick, too! Won't ever return.

I go to Milanos all the time - their pizza and burgers are wonderful - and service is fast and pleasant! Prices are quite cheap, and they bring the food to your table!

I order from GrubHub 5 days a week, which means a superior human being to those who don't. OK, seriously, though. I DO order food all the time, and this is my #1 in Center City when I don't want sushi. I bet if they started making sushi, it would be great, because that's what this place is: great. FUCKING great. Best onion rings in Philly. I literally order their onion rings about 3 times a week, and they are always perfect. 'Steak-cut' (which just means thick) and crispy. Oh, and they are $2.95. Take note, every other inferior pizza place in Philly. Basically, their fried foods are all awesome. Especially the onion rings, jalapeno poppers, and breaded broccoli. The fries come in a wax bag instead of the styrofoam clamshell which is SO IMPORTANT when it comes to delivery. Styrofoam clamshells make food soggy, but the bags don't. If you get a large order of cheese fries, they will give you the styrofoam clamshell, BUT they are smart enough to poke holes in the top. It's so easy, yet almost every other place in Philly fucks this up. Never had the pizza because all the other food is so good. They may be a pizza place, but to me, they are a tuna melt plus sides place. This place is so underrated that I didn't want to write this review in fear that too many people will find out about it. Then I realized my reviews hardly make a difference and I should get over myself. Get food from here if you like good food.

Great Sausage pizza. Its hard to review a pizza place in Philly because you throw a stone and you will hit 5. So I wont rave about this place and say you have to go here. But at the same time I wont give it a bad name. If you are hungry and in the mood for pizza, give this place a try. I got the sausage pizza and it was delicious. I will point out one exceptionally positive note. We called in an order for just a medium sausage pizza. When we got there a man came out (possibly the owner) and said one of his new guys made it and he didnt make it to his satisfaction. So rather then just sweeping it under the rug and giving us a sub par pizza he made a new one. Customer service goes a long way. So for that reason next time you are looking to grab a pizza before you go out, call these guys. You can get a pizza in the city anywhere, but it doesnt hurt to choose out a place that takes care of you.

We've ordered delivery several times via the Eat24 app. Always courteous and polite delivery service. They honor special requests (eg-swapping their standard iceberg lettuce for romaine). This isn't the most amazing food I've ever had, but it is consistently good. The fried foods arrive packed well and aren't soggy, which is relatively hard to pull off. With a broad menu and big portions at reasonable prices, you can find something for everyone and possibly have leftovers.

I ordered through Grub Hub at about 4:15pm on a Saturday afternoon thinking it would be a slow time and delivery would be quick...I was quoted an estimated arrival time of 5:02pm...at 5:10pm my phone rings, and it is the driver alerting me he just arrived to his 5pm shift and realized my order was quoted a time of arrival prior to the time a delivery driver would be there... umm what?? He let me know he was already on his way though and would be there in about 5 minutes. I definitely appreciated him giving me a call...my food arrived...and my brocolli bites were still warm, but overly deep fried... my fries were delicious though, and the delivery guy let me know they made a new batch. However, the turkey club sandwich I ordered was actually gross... the turkey was slimy.. and kind of chewy. like it was a few days too old.. Bad delivery, mainly bad food... and one friendly delivery driver... too many better places to be ordering from in the city- which explains why the prices were so cheap.

While I like the food this place cannot read an order correctly. They messed up my order last week and then refused to redeliver the food. Luckily, I ordered online so the website took care of the issue and reimbursed me. Who doesn't re-deliver? You gave me something I didn't ask for and then won't correct the mistake? How strange. Ordered again this week, different item, and same thing. I asked for no cheese and added garlic, I got no garlic and lots of cheese. So, needless to say, this place is out. Too much hassle for me. Ordering food is supposed to be easy.

Good, solid pizza joint with a big menu. The veggie pizza is loaded with real veggies - broccoli, onions, spinach, olives, etc. Advice: Take it to go or have it delivered. It's a pizza joint, not a dine-in restaurant.

Terrible ziti. Large portion but no flavor whatsoever. Very greasy. Cheese tasted like nothing. Was there even sauce on it?

Supreme pizza was great. Located right on Jefferson's campus so it was convenient ordering from here. Will definately be going back.

Happy circumstances keep my review of Milano's at a solid 4 stars. We ordered an appetizer sampler and a Buffalo Chicken Calzone w/ ricotta and mushrooms. The food arrived on time, and sampler was delicious. The mushroom bites were surprisingly addictive, and the honey mustard for the chicken fingers was choice. Then, we opened our box, only to find that there was no calzone. It had all the ingredients, but it was not turned over. It was just a pizza. We ordered a calzone, they gave us a pizza. WTF?! Instant downgrade, amiright people? Amiright? Except for one thing: the pizza was good. Really good. Sure, a calzone would have been nice, but you know what else is good? Really good pizza. It was as if Milano's overruled our decision, saying "NO! You cannot indulge in the calzone until you've sampled our pizza! Only then may you continue the journey of trying Milano's dishes!" We accept Milano's decree, and continue our quest for the Holy Milano's Calzone.

Worst delivery service I've ever had (and I order 90% of my meals). I was 0.4 miles away- even used grubhub to order bc they are awesome at making sure everything is right and on time. They took an hour and half to get here, 40 minutes after the grubhub time which NEVER happens. THen their customer service even called them and said they left 15 minutes ago- and my food showed up 30 minutes later. Apparently it takes 45 minutes to go 0.4 miles. Not to mention I had a VEry simple appetizer order that probably look 5 minutes to make (cheese fries and sampler). Grubhub was awesome about it but this place won't ever get my business again.... Only wish john's place was open on sundays :( Oh and if that's not enough- the food was not good at all.

I've been here several times now and feel like I can give it a fair review. I always get the pizza here by the slice to go around lunchtime and it's pretty decent pizza. I've tried plain ol' pepperoni, a Sicilian slice with cheese and a slice of tomato pie. And of them, I'd *highly* recommend trying the tomato pie. If you crave a nice, big dose of garlic with tomatoes and basil, Milano's tomato pie is a perfect way to satisfy your craving. I tried a cheesesteak this week too and found it mediocre. Milano's is worth the stop, if just for the tomato pie.

I snagged a piece of Milano's at work tonight. Holy mother of pizza goodness! I haven't had good deep dish/stromboli type pizza since Pizza Pompeii and Geno's East in Chicago. The crust was very tasty and flavorful. I think it was cornmeal, but if it wasn't, it still was very good and crunchy. I had a slice of sausage, pepperoni and bacon. Talk about meat lovers pizza. Man that slice was loaded. The cheese was also very tasty and fresh. I had a big bite of my friends tomato and garlic pizza. That was a little bite of tomato and garlicky heaven. I"m definitely getting a full slice of that next time.

I stopped in for a quick bite. It was a random experience, to say the least, and I did not really have any expectations before going in. There was a pretty good selection of pizza. But it's the kind of place where the pizza doesn't come out of the oven every five to ten minutes. In other words, it was like those Times Square pizza joints that tries to cater to everyone by having a wide selection, but what you get is lukewarm pizza that's reheated in the oven. Well, I had a slice (deep dish, as most of them are) of BBQ Chicken, so seeing as it was a specialty pizza, maybe that has something to do with it. I'm sure the cheese and pepperoni slices probably were pretty fresh. I was surprised that they had a lot of outside seating. Granted, it was nothing special, but it was better than nothing. From what I could tell, the 2nd floor was even more sitting. Also, the kitchen staff and I laughed about Palin during the VP debate, which was a bonus. I was surprised to see that the menu didn't include pastas. I thought that was a staple for Italian eateries. All in all, it was a bit expensive, and it wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't the worst place I've been in the world.

the people who work here prolly think i love their food, since i go all the time. really, i'm just lazy and psyched that the shop is only a block from my office. if it were farther, it wouldn't even be on my radar. the good: tomato pie. thick crust, chunky tomatoes and heavy on the garlic, which i like. the bad: well, it's not so bad ... it's just not so good, either. the pizza is basic and mediocre, and the staff aren't very friendly. i'm usually kinda bummed by the by-the-slice selection, which seems to cater to carnivores. i'm no vegetarian, but i'm weird about mixing pizza and meat, and that limits my choices here. for example, yesterday at lunchtime, they had tomato pie, regular cheese and one veggie-topped pie with broccoli and sliced tomato ... and then they had cheesesteak pizza, two different kinds with chicken and of course the requisite pepperoni and sausage. plain or broccoli-tomato, those are my only veggie options? can't a girl get a slice of mushroom? just sayin'.
