This place's employees were not courtious or kind at all! I did not realize that i left my id in the house & upon knowing after searching for it through my bag, i accepted that fact & decided that i would appreciate a sober night & allowed who was not initially designated driver to get drunk since i now could not drink. Two bartenders came up after informing them about the delima and they attacked both my friends & i.. Saying although my friends had id, they could not serve them due to the fact that i was present. Saying they would loose their jobs if they were to do so. it ruined our night! I will never return to this place nor will my friends.. If THAT IS regulations that is okay but the way the information was persented to us, was absolutely not okay! I do not suggest this bar if you expect good treatment! The employees are terrible and do not exude customer service.

Delicious food, clean, friendly environment. Reasonable prices. I love this place for any occasion but don't take my word for it. See for yourself

I have yet to eat at liquid room, but from the sound of it, I can't wait. Went later in the evening for drinks & got amazing service front not only the bar tender, but manager (unsure if she's the owner as well) either way! We sat outside, which we were not neglected at all. They kept checking up on us and were quick with our drinks. Had a strange coconut beverage that tasted pretty good!

Just moved in the area and gonna review this as my first local jawn. The place is very clean. It has a Spanish menu but the theme otherwise is rather confusing. Classic R&B was on when I was here today. The beer prices are very fair. 3 bucks for a Yueng is standard anymore. The bread is fresh and good. A couple near me is talking about how good their meal is but I have no idea what the hell it is. My wings were also great. Perfectly cooked, decent sauce, and blue cheese was chunky. However 5 bucks for a half pound (about 7) is a lousy happy hour price. Service is good. I told her that I'm new to the area so she talked a little about her fave thing to get here and what not (Cajun wings. I got buffalo.) Conclusion: I'll be back.

It has changed dramatically. It is now more of a restaurant then a bar. And I love that! Spanish style food and drink menu, salsa music playing in the background. Great atmosphere. Super clean. Friendly staff. Try the coconut mojitos (garnished with actual mini coconuts!) Or the Passion Fruit Margarita (yum!) They've changed the food menu. Mainly Everything is Spanish style (rice and beans, tostones, maduros, etc). They have a larger dining area on the 2nd floor and an outdoor patio that's only accessible through the inside of the bar. I love this place. The garlic shrimp and tostones are my fav! 9 bucks for 6 big juicy shrimp in a garlic/onion sauce & served with tostones (fried green bananas). So good!

The bar was good looking, but the food and venue feel incongruent. I am not sure I want a big pasta dish when I am listening to upbeat latin music and watching a hockey game. I say embrace one theme. You are either: a) A salsa club. b) An upscale Italian dinner place. 3)A sports bar. You cannot be all of these things. Less is always more. The food was above average and the prices were right.

The bar is nice looking and the service is super friendly, but definitely go here for the Saturday night fashion show. And by fashion show I mean watching the women walk by to go to the upstairs room. You will not be disappointed. You can see: Creative suicide girl rock-a-billy hairstyles Suuuuper short skirts and dresses Sharpie eyebrows and lipliner Towering platform heels Tight tight tight pants (How did they get them on??) in some "larger" sizes Skin tight camoflauge pants with cutouts for skin to show through at the upper thigh Many other treats for the eye that you won't see anywhere else in center city I was impressed with the styles. I am not sure where you can buy these things, but I definitely felt Amish in my knee length skirt with tights and long sleeves. The music in the downstairs is a bit loud for a bar setting, but I'd definitely come here again for the people watching opportunities.

Two guys got shot and killed leaving this bar last Saturday, so that should be all you need to know about how they run the place. Stop by if you're interested in getting fully patted down and searched by the two security goons at the door before you sit down for a drink. It's a shame because the facility is very nice and even the "owners" seem to be great people. Problem is, the real owner is a nutjob and this place will never change while he's in charge. This is the atmosphere he's looking for. Why he would think this kind of operation would fly in the next-big-up-and-coming-residential-area is beyond me. And the food is absolutely horrendous. Sounds like they may have changed since the one time I went there months ago, but the burger and chicken fingers I tasted were clearly frozen in a box 15 minutes before served to me and inedible. 2 stars not 1 because the bathrooms are the nicest north of Center City and the TV is amazing.

Very nice decor, draught selection nicely displayed. On the fringe of Sketchville, but across from an authentic taqueria that I really want to try. I really liked the bar, the bar stools were comfy, bathroom was actually really beautiful. Menu needs some work.

Terrible service. Literally I was the only person in the bar for an hour and I was never asked if I wanted food or another drink. Bartender drank coffee at the end of the bar talking with kitchen staff the whole time. At one point I did ask for a menu because it was dinner time and I was hungry. I was given a brunch menu. Bartender left the bar for about 10 mins, when she came back I asked for a dinner menu. She gave me a dinner menu with no pages inside. They over charged me for the beer I had and insisted that the price was $1 higher than printed on the drink menu. Go here only if you are not hungry, not thirsty and want to be ignored.

if this review was just on the hostess and staff, I'd give a full five stars. Seriously - a great balance between friendly, helpful and efficient. The space is nice and clean, completely modernized, and includes a large flat screen television downstairs and Salsa + Meringue dancing upstairs on the later days in the week, and weekend. So, that said, I'm giving Liquid Room three stars (for now) because the menu is about to change around Labor Day, so not everything on the present menu is available. I ordered grilled octopus, and that was not actually offered, though it is listed on the menu. Also, some things are not correctly promoted, such as "shrimp cocktail", which is not large, boiled cold shrimp and cocktail sauce as I really wanted, but rather frozen, breaded shrimp baked or fried and served with cocktail sauce. It would be fine, except that I really wanted grilled octopus and shrimp cocktail after a long, hot day at the pool. Other than that, the food and the portion size of the food was more than fine for the price. I had steak, and my friends both had pasta dishes, so see - we went for seafood and had really nice meals -- that were not seafood ... The only the other thing I'll note is that the volume and style of music was more appropriate for after they lock up at night, and are cleaning up. It was real loud and ghetto. I'm sorry to say it like that, but well, it was sort of booming gangsta rap. All that is fine - if it is what everyone at the bar wants, or before open, and after close. It is not fabulous for dining with friends, when you want to talk a bit over your meal. Yes - I'm absolutely stopping back in after Labor Day to try the new menu, to see if there is more seafood available, and see how the ambiance is once summer is over, since those sizzling days do lead us all to drink a lot and listen to loud music. Note - We were told that a section of "Spanish" food will be added to the menu. We are not sure if means rice & beans style or more exotic, flavorful seafood style dishes, though that is all part of what I'm excited to find out about! I really think it is a great location for this restaurant , especially since Liquid includes a bar and ethnic dancing. It is really congested around Frankford and Girard now, so Master is a really good change of pace, and that section of Master seems really neighborhood and safe, while still allowing night life. I love the combination of specialties Liquid is trying to offer, so I hope they are able to succeed with it - it is a real gem of an opportunity to have a nice, casual yet not low brow spark on an easy block to get to via foot, or car and to park near.

I have been to Liquid Room Rest & Bar many times and the food and service have always been great! In reference to review given by The Talking Mul E. not sure where you obtain your information from, the owner is actually a female, who is very nice and courteous to all of the customers. The incident where "two guys got shot and killed", one guy got killed and the other one was injured. Also, the fact that they were there having a drink should not be a reflection of the establishment. If that's the case you should reference every establishment they went to that night. They were at mcfaddens first, so does that mean that Mcfaddens is a horrible establishment? or that you would give them a bad review bc of the customers they may get. The shooting did not occur at the bar but 2 blocks away from the bar. The secutiry guards are not goons but actual retired police officers, who are there to ID customers and help everyone. If I was the owner I would find out who you are a get a lawyer involved for defamation, which is "any intentional false communication, either written or spoken that harms a person's reputation. So I would say that before making such a direct statement you should have the correct information.

Went here for brunch last Sunday and it was delicious! The pancakes were nice and fluffy - whole wheat and served with real maple syrup. Though simple, the eggs benedict was one of the best my boyfriend has had in the city. The $3 mimosas were an added bonus!

Stopped in last Sunday for brunch. It was a ghost town. No one there but me and the waitress. I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was a ribeye cooked medium rare. My eggs were scrambled and it came with some potatoes. No toast comes with the dish but I could have had some for 2 dollars extra. Really? 18 bucks and no toast? Ok...the steak had a good chat and was cooked well. No one bothered to attempt to season it. I paired it with the overalls salty eggs and when I was out of eggs, I was pretty much over the steak. The potatoes were mealy and tasteless and a waste of plate space. They tasted frozen. Needless to say, Beau the puppy enjoyed his brunch of steak and steak.....

My wife and I really enjoyed the Latino items of the menu. The tostones were great. Also, the happy hour specials for the chicken wings were a good deal. Very nice space. Can't complain!

Place was very good for a corner bar! Fast service and food was great! Blackened salmon and chicken marsala were cooked perfectly. Big TV and music was great! Summer spot to watch games! Downstairs is a chill bar and upstairs has a more fancy vibe to it. Will be back!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
