I always pass this place on my walk home from work and meandered in recently to check it out. It's a little bit of a hidden treasure..really quaint but packed with most of your essential needs. There is an impressive salad bar, too. The kicker is that they are a little pricey, but this place was a good little find.

I've tried to give this place a shot since it's on my way to work but it's just gross. I guess if you're going to Food Bazaar for pre-packaged items it's fine but if you're trying to get prepared food, turn the other way. The produce is usually spoiled and the few times I've gotten a breakfast sandwich or something for lunch the bread is usually stale. I bought a breakfast sandwich recently, the bread was stale, the bacon had a plastic-like texture and it tasted off. I threw it out. Bought fruit also, went to wash a plum when I got to work and realized it was mushy to the touch. I threw it out.

If I could give this crap-hole of a place no stars, I would. The store is dirty and it stinks. The only reason I've come here (a grand total of 3 times) is because I live next door, and sometimes you need a last minute item for whatever reason. Don't get me wrong: I've never bought any of their food, fruit, vegetables or perishable items. The only thing I've bought is tomato juice, a bottle of soy sauce and a Diet Coke. The skinny guy behind the counter has always been rude, and he's always muttering things under his breath. He, honestly, looks like he could go off and kill someone. I've looked at their buffet items; all of which look like they've been sitting under a heat lamp all day or reheated from the day before. This place is just downright vile. Some of the items that they sell smell weird and look like they have a promise to give you food poisoning if you eat it.

It boggles my mind how this place is still open. Buffet food is not good, looks as though its been sitting there all day, and occasionally has tasted that way. Drinks and snacks are overpriced and I've gone in for a breakfast sandwich and been told "for us to turn on the grill (george foreman) you'll have to buy at least 2 sandwiches" Haa seriously? That was the final straw for me going into this place, and I live across the street. Plenty of other delis/bodegas in the area that I'd recommend over this spot.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I have never encountered such rude staff/owners, and am shocked that they're even still in business with the way they treat customers. There is never a greeting, acknowledgement, or a thank you for your patronage. Even when I say thank you after being rung up, I am ignored. Most items aren't priced, and when you get to the counter you see that they're marked up about 3-4 times what you'd pay in the grocery store. Because they're so nasty, particularly the man, I've refused to purchase anything else from them. I hope the dogs that he screams at for being anywhere near his store, you know, outside on the pavement where dogs are allowed, start urinating right in the entryway.

Cons: Definitely not the friendliest service and almost $8 for a small container from the buffet Pros: Everything I got was incredibly delicious, fresh, and well made- good healthy perfectly ripe fruit or veggie with chicken options. Only other complaint is the $10 credit card minimum, but the delicious lunch buffet makes up for that. Is definitely come back here.

They have a pretty wide selection of convenience item, decent sandwiches, and excellent hot brewed coffee. The hot buffet is vile. The prices are high which, given the neighborhood, I could excuse. However, staff at the front counter who ring you up are just consistently angry and nasty. Generally, I really don't like to support places where customers get treated so rudely.

Absolutely terrible service. I walked in looking for some milk, they had a pint for 1.99, however they don't put prices on most of their products. When I asked the guy at the register how much it was he mumbled an answer that I didn't fully understand. When I asked him again, he stopped, looked at me and yelled 1.99 condescendingly. I put the milk product back on the shelf and walked out while he mutter "muthaf***ers" under his breath. Service is awful, prices are very high, would recommend one of the other numerous convenience stores around the corner.
