What a Gem. Crapy looking neighborhood... Sweet young lady at the counter. Dude in the visible grill area shaving the sirloin. Grilling as ordered. Ask for the hot peppers- they're hot and sweet. Meet is tender not over cooked like the big name joints that prep everything in the morning and slop it out all day. I love hole in the wall joints. I promise I'll be going back. The crap at the airport is 40 bucks and tasteless. Enjoy Bob

This place is absolutely solid. I was in from out of town so I don't know too much about the neighborhood or the area but this is a book not to be judged by its cover. Devon behind the counter has been doing this for about 20 years, and it shows. Had a great cheesesteak hear a really large order of fries and a black cherry soda. What more do you need?

Fantastic cheesesteaks. The best around. They also have take-out beer, so that is a bonus. Staff is friendly. Feels almost like "Cheers" in there. I love a cheesesteak just as much as anyone, and I have yet to find a better one. They also have chicken strips which are good. Their french fries are tasty as well. Prices are actually cheaper than average for a cheesteak. It is very divey looking, and the area can be dicey late at night, however you'll be fine. They also serve breakfast, however, I have never ordered breakfast from them. There are several tables to eat at, so if you want to eat there, you can.

Might be one of the most underrated steak sandwiches in Philadelphia. Really, if your can you should try it!

Been to Pat's, Geno's and some other place that was known for their pork sandwich, but this place had them beat. Was it because I was hungry and it was late, maybe that adds a little bit of bias to it, but the sandwich was on point. got everything on it which includes mushrooms, cheese and both sweet green and hot red peppers and the combination of this with the meat and the wonderful bread, well.. food heaven. Enjoyed every last bite of this huge sandwich!!

Let me start by saying I have been FAITHFULLY coming to Falone's since I was a young girl. Over the years I've visited multiple other places all thorughout Philly. NO PLACE COMPARES. They have mastered the cheesesteak for real. The location is pretty out of the way but for me it's so worth it everytime I vist I find some way to make it to Falone's. The cheese is melted perfectly throughout the meat rather than a slice simply slapped on the bottom or top. The meat isn't dry, greasy, or pasty. All problems that I've experienced elsewhere. And much to my pleasure there's more meat than bread. Another problem that I've experienced elsewhere. This place is perfect. And throughout the years they have NEVER disappointed.

The only thing Falone's doesn't have perfect is their location. Falone's makes delicious hoagies, cheese steaks and breakfast sandwiches. They have burgers, turkey burgers, wings. Fries. Beer. Snacks. Through the years Falone's has changed ownership but only from one caring family to another. Mr. and Mrs. Lee who bought the business about ten years ago, kept absolutely everything the same food wise and have gotten to know and remember their customers as well. I have always believed if Falone's had a better location, there wouldn't be a single person who didn't know their name. I have never had a better cheesesteak and their hoagies are great, too.

The wings...pretty good. The cheesesteak...maybe it was an off night.

I continue my quest to find the Best Philly Cheesesteak in Philly based only on a steak comprised of Bread, Steak, and Provolone Cheese. Falone's was an unplanned stop. I'm a delivery driver by trade and was out in this part of Philly making a delivery and was absolutely starving. When that kind of hunger kicks in, I search for cheesesteaks. So I busted out my phone, did a little research, and Falone's came up on the map. Let's just say, based on ambiance, I wasn't expecting much. But this review is about steak, not ambiance. The steak was pulverized meat on an (I think) amoroso roll and the provolone was mixed throughout the meat. After ordering the steak (and getting complimented on my incredible beauty by the cashier ... also not factored into this review), I took it back to my car and took a bite. And to my surprise, this was a damn good steak. The meat was moist but not a big 'ol greaseball (a la Pat's), there was no gristle, the cheese was well distributed and the roll was tasty. At $6 even, the steak was a good size (not the biggest steak on the block, but also one of the cheaper ones I've had thus far), and the meat to bread ratio was right on. In fact, this steak was so good, that I had problems stopping myself from eating the whole steak in the car. Usually I only eat the first half and then save the second half to see how it tastes when it cools off. I tried to wait, but ended up eating the second half right before I got home. It was that delicious. It's still not as good as Tony Luke's, and the location is even more out in the boonies, but this is a steak worth revisiting should I ever find myself out near Island and Passyunk again.

Iooooove their chicken cheesesteaks. Everyone doesn't do them right. The service is quick. The place isn't pretty but the food is good.
