I don't mean to be mean to a neighborhood pizza joint, but... I wasn't very impressed. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much either. I live in the area and was too lazy to walk up to Ridge so I thought, maybe this place will be okay. I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and onions. The crust leaves much to be desired - it was hard and not chewy and didn't even taste very good. I can see this being a good option if you're drunk or if it's very late at night (though I'm not sure what their hours are). But if you're looking for good pizza, just make sure your expectations are realistic. Of course, they are a small mom and pop neighborhood operation so I could also see people supporting them for that purpose.

All the ingredients in the pizza are great. I grew up here and have been eating their pizza for years. Lately however I have been highly disappointed. Today is the third time in a row I have ordered pizza from them and there has been close to no sauce and the pizza was burnt.

Just moved into the area and was testing the water in terms of local pizza places. I will not be ordering from here again. Everything was luke warm- the wraps which should be cold were just a tad over room temp. And the fries and calzones' cheese were beginning to harden up. The delivery took over an hour- which would have been fine, if everything got here at the right temp- but I have a feeling that it was all sitting in a bag together waiting to be delivered for a while.

Pizza: cold. Fries: cold, wings: cold. Don't bother with this lame pizza shop. Yelp wants me to say more. Don't order from Dantonios unless you like cold food.

I used to live right around the corner and this was our go-to pizza place, but sadly I have moved so it's not as convenient anymore. I do still order from here now and again though when I want the BEST loaded fries in Manayunk. Trust me. And I order fries everywhere. No comparison. And the pizza is awesome too. I recommend this restaurant.

Ordered delivery the other night.... I would say it wasn't the best pizza I've had and wasn't the worst either. Pros: - the ingredients seemed fresh, tasted fresh - one of the pizzas ordered was thoroughly cooked (the other wasn't - just maybe needed 1-2 more minutes into the oven) Cons: - delivery time was a bit longer than expected, maybe I'm just being picky, but seemed like after peak hours and close to their closing time. 50-60 minute delivery time - one of the pizzas was just falling apart because it needed to be cooked more - a tad bit $$$ pricier than I would have liked to have seen it New to the Roxborough area so thought I'd give it a shot. Saw the reviews on here were old.... After I ordered. Will I order from here again? I'll probably check other restaurants and options in the area first. Nothing that's craving for my attention there.

Good pizza for a good price. I just moved to Manayunk and had low expectations pizza-wise. As an Italian-American pizza quality is very important to me and, despite being a lifelong Philadelphian, we have terrible pizza around here. I took a shot on Dantonio's and I was very pleasantly surprised. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? No. But I still really enjoyed it and will definitely order from here in the future. Plus the delivery was pretty quick (now, it was a Monday evening in the summer, so delivery may not be as fast other times, but I was happy). If you're looking for a good pie for a good price and you're in Manayunk or Roxborough, Dantonio's is worth a call.

Dan's gets it done. Good pizza, good fries, a decent cheesesteaks, chicken Parma is good too, but these guys ate not the most chipper of a crew. And I use the word crew because they seem to own the corner and make some people a little uneasy with ordering. Id rather order delivery.

I lived a block and a half from D'Antonio's for two years and ordered from them all the time because it was cheap and convenient. I've since left Yunk completely but my boyfriend still lives on the 200 block of Dupont Street. Last night, we decided on a whim that we were in the mood for pizza - we didn't want something gourmet (e.g. Couch Tomato) and we weren't prepared to shell out for one of Caputo's delicious-yet-pricey pies so I suggested D'Antonio's as a "cheap and decent" alternative that delivers. I have to say that the pizza was actually better than I remembered. Their client base is fairly limited being that they're on a random, residential corner and I wonder if that's the main reason that these guys don't have the accolades or fan base of places like Alex's or Roma's . They definitely nail that thin-but-not-too-thin, "chewy" crust that seems to be a favorite amongst many Philadelphia pizza-eaters. The sauce is pretty standard but we were both pretty impressed by the flavors on the "three cheese" pizza we ordered last night and when I was down the street from them, I was a big, big fan of their white pizza, which is super cheesy and garlicky - yum! Their crust is perfect for a white pizza because it's sturdy enough to stand up to the generous amounts of cheese and garlic sauce but still thin enough that it doesn't dominate your pizza eating experience. The one thing I'd say on the crust issue is that, on the pie we got last night, some slices were breadier than others so I think there's a little bit of a consistency issue there. I'd also mention that, as much as I liked the flavors of the three cheese pizza, they might want to change the way they combine the cheese and sauce on this one - hard to explain clearly but I basically felt like the way the ricotta was under the rest of the cheese was somehow "mucking up" the sauce. They advertise it as being "topped with red sauce" but on our pizza, the sauce was under the cheese... my thought is that it would've been better as advertised. The pizza is also a little small - a supposed "extra large" is 16" - which is fine for two people but if you had a larger group, you'd probably be a little more dismayed by the false advertising. Overall, I think D'Antonio's definitely does a pretty solid pizza at a great price. I definitely recommend it!

Dantonio's food is very good. Always fresh and always satisfying. The staff has cutting edge humor. The owner has a heart of gold. Being in business for over 30 years says it all.

My friend and I go here every time we are at her apartment and want pizza. No complaints! One time they even gave my friend a hat because she liked it.

The staff here is funny and friendly, and the food is pretty good! It takes a while to make usually, but other than that I'm a big fan. The buffalo chicken pizza is my favorite!

I've been in Manayunk for a little over a year and I've really taken this place for granted. It's convenient location was apparently just too much for me to pay attention to... Hmm.... Staff: It was definitely my loss. Anyway, I've been here a few times and the experience is always good. The guys on staff are pretty funny. They keep it funny but they're definitely serious about the pizza too. I can get behind that. They're slowly renovating this place and it's turning out very nicely. Face lifts are always a plus! Food: The sandwiches are delish. The pizzas are fresh and they're not stingy with the toppings. Plus, I love fresh garlic and any place that will add it to my pizza without confusion ranks super-high in my book. Minus one: Only complaint I have is the small pizza is REALLY small. With such large single slices, I expected the small to be a little bigger. I just won't be ordering that size again. Summary: Love Dantonio's!!!

Nice neighborhood pizza place. I used to live around the corner and took it for granted - one day there was a snowstorm so my roommates and I walked over and found it open and decided to give it a shot. The pizza was good not great but def worth ordering for a quick pizza fix (even though its not really that quick). I went back once more after that and got chicken marsala on a whim - it was REALLY good! The guy who owns it was really nice - I went the first time before they did the renovation and the second time after renovation and I mentioned to the owner it looked nice in there and he talked my ear off about the construction then noticed I was wearing a villanova hoodie and talked about basketball...all in all i went in to pick up my food and didn't get back to my apartment till easily a half hour later!

Live around the corner from them. Used to eat there all the time but for some reason they seem to mess up my order all the time. My husband loves the white pizza.

This place is a block away from me..it's a little gem here in south philly and so very resonable as to price. The pizzas are delicious..if you like the kind of pizza crunchy kind of crust and very thin..it's a little like a pizza you'd get in a bar. The breakfeasts are great and simple and italian dishes are very good, sandwiches as well. Only thing is how small the place is if your eating in..but they do have a counter..and has a retro look that great and friendly staff.

This place is right down the street from me and I found it to be a nice little place. However, I stopped ordering from here because several times they were out of certain things and twice the veggie pizza that I loved had an odd taste, like the veggies were spoiled/spoiling. I got the sense that they might just be getting by and the quality was suffering.

Dantonios is a small Pizza/Pasta/Hoagie place in Roxborough ripe with a great selection of food. I have had most of the pizza from the surrounding places in Manayunk and Roxborough and this is the best, but only on their good days. We get quality good looking pizzas for the most part but sometimes the fare is less pretty as we're used to. This hasn't stopped us from ordering take out at least a few times a month. Staff is bouncing with personality and Philly wit and even the pasta dinners are pretty well loaded for the price. The only thing to mention about this is some of the dinners will remind you of salads from 1977 and they do use a lot of syrofoam if you're environmentally conscious...but for the hungry college kid or a few pies for the big game, this place does it right.

When I used to live in Roxborough I would always stop by to pick up a tuna hoagie at Dantonio's Pizza at least once a month. It is totally delicious and is one of the best tuna hoagies I've ever had. I've tried to find a similar hoagie, but nothing has come close to the wonderful flavors of their tuna hoagie. Perhaps they have some secret recipe for their tuna salad. Whatever it is, it is wonderful. I have not tried the pizza or anything else on the menu...because once I tried the tuna hoagie, I didn't want to try anything else.
