An interesting little spot. it draws kind of a strange crowd but the bartender is bar none. The staff will always make sure your glass is filled and your content. Although more than a few times I'm started conversations with other patrons who turned out the crazy people

My husband and I like to at local restaurants so we walked to the Cornerstone Inn this past Friday evening. We sat outside which I probably wouldn't do again as sitting on Ridge Avenue and trying to talk is difficult. We both ordered the roast beef sandwiches and since it said that they came with chips we ordered a basket of fries to share instead. When our sandwiches came, they came with fries as well. Needless to say we had way too many fries. The roast beef was not very good and the rolls fall apart when you try to pick up the sandwich. We will probably go back, eat inside and try some other food other than the roast beef. Hopefully something will be better and the staff should tell you that fries come with the sandwich that you are ordering especially when you order even more fries.

Been a customer of Coyles(cornerstone) for many years. Their wings are the best in Rox/Man, hands down !large, meaty, cooked to perfection ! Have had the roast beef, chicken parm, burgers, wraps and the onion rings are excellent ! Last week one of the specials was a seafood on linguini. It featured 2 split 41/2 " lobster tails, 4-5 split large shrimp ,about a dozen mussels all over a large portion of pasta in a delicious red sauce. A lot of food that require different prep and cooking times. Not an easy dish to prepare (I cok a little too). EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. THE BEST SEAFOOD I've eaten in years, honestly. The chef ,Steve ,is a culinary mastermind ! I cannot wait to eat more of that seafood he concocts. I've eaten in most of the restaurants in manayunk and my chef of choice is and will be Steve at the Cornerstone. Do yourself a favor and treat your self to a meal there. Incidentally the pricing is ,

I went in for dinner with my wife and infant. We had really great stuffed burgers. The decor of the back rooms leaves a lot to be desired, but may just be left overs from the restaurants previous incarnation. The front room is hip, but the tables are high enough that they're not really baby friendly. The staff was very friendly, downright charming really. Prices were very reasonable. We had a great time and intend to return frequently.

Inconsistant, but good! My girlfriend and I have been here a couple times now. The first time was great, the second was just okay. The first time we got the wings, a mac and cheese burger and a couple of Yeunglings. Lets start with the beer-IT WAS GREAT! Have you ever been somewhere that doesn't clean their tap lines? You can tell because the beer tastes skunky, and looks cloudy. Well Cornerstone clearly cleans their lines, as the Yeungling was about the freshest, best tasting beer I'd ever had. As for the wings, they were large, meaty, spicy, and delicious. Honestly, I'd say (this visit) they were some of the best wings I'd ever had. The burger was decent, we sat outside (it was great out), and the waitress was very kind. The owner was there the whole time watching us though- and it felt almost invasive. The mac and cheese burger was just okay, and the mac seemed like easy mac. The second time we went there my girlfriend got the French dip, and I got the wings. French dip was very basic, just thick sliced roast beef, with some gravy and cheese on it. The wings this time were not nearly as good as the first time. They were still large and meaty, but had less sauce, and were not as crispy. We will definitely be going back, the atmosphere is great, and this restaurant definitely has a lot of potential. Cornerstone is a restaurant with an identity crisis. They need to decide if they want to step it up, charge more, and become the 5 star yelp review restaurant that we all know they can be, or if they want to be lazy, keep it cheap, and remain the roxborough local eatery that we know them as know.

Just moved to town driving down ridge avenue with my mother, we were looking for a spot to eat. Both hungry and eager for food, I yelped the Cornerstone Inn. We saw decent reviews and wanted to try it out for ourselves. Great Choice! I had a cheddar jalapeño stuffed burger and she had a crab cake sandwich, both awesome. We stayed for a couple drinks and had a great time. Lots of tvs for sports, a jukebox and a great atmosphere. I strongly recommend anybody in town to try it out, you will not regret it. I will definitely be back again.

Was there this pass Friday 10/10/14. The staff was super nice the drinks were cheap & good, but as far as the food not so great!! I ordered a 12oz stuffed burger & asked for it to be cooked medium & it came out so well done the outside of the burger was burnt. Sent it back & it came with new fries that were under cooked & so was the burger. It was raw in the middle. I also found a long thick curly hair in my food. Needless to say I was done with my meal at that point. We did choose to stay & see the band. They were very good. So if you want cold drinks, good service n good entertainment I think you'd enjoy this place, But if your looking for good food your better off going some where else.

I would like to say I agree with the previous post, but I would be lying to you. My wife and I are frequent patrons at many restaurants in the Manayunk / Roxborough / East Falls area and decided to try the Cornerstone Inn after driving by and seeing the nice outdoor seating area they have and receiving their marketing flyer in the mail. The servers are all very nice. However, after they submitted my drink order (2 draft beers) it took the bartender 15 minutes to get me my drinks. A bit longer than I anticipated, but not a problem. We ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer, which came out in a timely manner. However, the one side of the tortilla was burnt to a crisp. Although I was a little agitated at this point, I ate them without a complaint and awaited our entrees. For entrees we each had one of their stuffed cheese burgers, which Raj (the manager) said were "amazing." This was where I had to draw the line. We ordered our burgers to be cooked at medium temperature and received them absolutely raw. My wife's burger was still cold in the middle. Not only was the meat not cooked. It was completely unseasoned as if they just took some ground beef out of the pack and dumped it on the grill. At this point we had lost our appetites and asked for the check (with the burgers omitted, obviously). Though Raj was apologetic, and even offered us a free meal next time we came in (we still paid $30 for the burnt quesadilla and 3 beers) we will never be going back to this place.

Wow!! I am surprised at the some of the negativity here. OK, its bar food, not fancy food, but nevertheless I had the wings and burger and both are very good. I have them repeatedly. Not to mention, the negative reviews admit that the manager and servers are nice and good. In fact, I enjoy their company that I have become a regular at the place. Even before some of the negative Yelp reviews, I was worried about the place, because it doesn't have that many customers. Now I realize my good Yelp review is more than needed here. No, this isn't a place if you want fancy food, but if you want basic bar food, they deliver. Also as a bar, it has a good decor, reasonably price drinks and friendly servers. Enjoy it as a bar rather than a restaurant and you should be OK!

Cornerstone inn is nothing to write home about, but the Decour and service is decent. My roommate and I checked out this place because Lenny's home plate was on vacation. They had a brunch buffet for 12.95 which seemed like a deal. Although most of the food looked unappetizing, the cream of chipped beef was tasty, but quite clumpy. Along with the BBQ chicken, also yummy. I thought it was nice that they had a cookie plate, and also a salad bar. The buffet came with an omelette that we didn't try but you could always get that as well. This place could get three stars, but the reparation and display of foods was off putting.

Always different specials daily! And even Sunday Brunch is only $12.95 with all the breakfast favorites, as well as lunch specials. I know some May think the nacho chips are different, but to me those chips are airy and good! Love coming during games for $2 drafts and Lots of food specials....

Today's visit was a good one. Our food was really good. Our waitress was very nice. The only thing that wasn't good was that I saw the manager reprimand our waitress right just a few feet away--that really put me off. I tried the special they had on the sign outside--turkey wrap, fries, & salad. It was really good. The salad was a Caesar salad and it was hugeeeee, the turkey was fresh--it had turkey, bacon, lettuce, and shredded cheese in a plain tortilla, and the fries were crisp. It would've been better if it was a little warm though. My wife had a burger with fries again and enjoyed it. We also got mozzarella sticks that were crisp with good marina. They had the air on inside!! Yay!! The worst thing about our visit was that our waitress brought our mozzarella sticks, but didn't bring plates or utensils... Not the biggest deal in the world since it's technically finger food, but I saw the manager look over, look at our waitress and mumble something to her angrily through gritted teeth. He even threw his hand up like he was so frustrated! And the girl said sorry and ran to get plates while he brought utensils. Even if he was frustrated with her, he should've just brought us plates and utensils and talked to her in the back, calmly. Also he kept hovering around us...I guess to see if we had everything we needed? But he could've just asked or asked our waitress to check on us.
