Best hot and sour soup in the city. Delivery is fast, food is super hot when it gets to you. They are willing to make accommodations where they can (e.g. honoring my requests for no carrots due to allergies). Recommended without reservation. NB: Take out and delivery only

Chinese pizza is great! Shrimp in the fried rice were big & fresh. Chicken lo mein was amazing! Egg rolls were alright could have been better. Honestly the only bad thing I have to say is... There were ZERO fortune cookies!!! I will definitely order again!

Such bad business. The food here is okay, but after ordering food and waiting 2 hours for delivery, (while I live less than 10 blocks away), I called to check on my food. The owner let me know that food would still not be delivered for another hour. So, clearly, I cancelled the order. I figured I'd let that go, since maybe that was just a fluke. I called a week later to place another order, and after providing my address, the owner decided to scold me after cancelling my previous order. "We were busy, and you shouldn't have cancelled." I let her know that it would've been good customer service to call and notify me after at least 1 hour that my food was running late. And she Definitely had no right speaking to me the way she did. Especially in Philadelphia, where there are countless Chinese food restaurants. Someone needs a lessen in good business. Ugh.

The name on yelp is wrong, but this address is for Lucky Star Chinese food. This is my go-to for delivery. Everything on their menu is so delicious and their delivery is very quick. I found this place my first week living in the city and am so glad I did. I love their chicken fried rice, the pizza roll, and pretty much anything I've ever ordered. Definitely order from them the next time you want Chinese food.

REALLY good fried dumplings. The General Tso's was pretty bland though. Kind of shady inside though, with the bullet-proof glass...so I waited outside....which ironically made ME feel shady. Did I mention the dumplings were REALLY good?

I ordered the General Tso's Chicken and my friend ordered Sesame Chicken. Our dishes came in the exact same sauce, except hers had sesame seeds sprinkled on top. The sauce was fine, it didn't taste bad, but it was neither General Tso's or Sesame sauce...it was like it was some sort of all purpose chinese food sauce? I also ordered Chinese Donuts, which have been served w/ a light coating of sugar from every other place I've ever ordered them. These had no sugar, they were just plain, and they tasted plain, like they needed a little something. Like sugar. So I went and got some from my pantry and sprinkled it on and then they were just right. But I shouldn't have had to do that myself. Delivery took an hour and fifteen minutes. Way too long.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
