The ladies in here are super nice and are always down to give you change for bus fair when you need it. That was all I had really been in for, until I got super hungry late on a Thursday night. Didn't matter that it was 12:30 on a weeknight, All Star Pizza was ready to go. I ordered online because you get a little savings of 5% and chose the buffalo chicken cheesesteak and an order of fries. The total came to around $12 which I thought was kind of steep, but I was ok with it because they're right across from my house and I guess you're going to pay a little bit of a premium when it's so late and your options are slim. The fries were crunchy, hot, and delicious. And there were tons of them. It would have been nice if they had come included with the sandwich though. Speaking of the sandwich -- not half bad. The bread was pretty fresh, the chicken was spicy and delicious, and they obliged my request for ranch instead of blue cheese. It really didn't end up being a bad deal because the sandwich was HUGE. I went to bed super full and ended up having the other half for lunch the next day, so I guess two $6 meals is worth it. All Star is a good option for those late night cravings. They'll do you right.

Late night drunkness calls for a craving of greasy messy food.. But how drunk do you gotta be to eat this garbage? The pizza is bad.. And I mean really really bad. From the cheap dough, government cheese and dog pepperoni. Yikes! 2 stars for being open late though.. Honestly guys.. You could really be an amazing spot. Reevaluate your menu and take the criticism.

I used to love this place and got delivery a lot, it was my go to when i got home late from work. Tonight I placed an order at 1240. when i followed up there was no answer. finally almost 2 hours after I initially placed my order i received a call from a NY number stating there was an error with the system and I would not be receiving my order.... needless to say I will never use this establishment again. a timely response would have at the least ensured that I did not have to go to bed starving.

They are open for late delivery on weekends. Do not order and fall asleep. That's frowned upon and they may not deliver to you again. Chicken cheesesteak is the best order. Pizza is good when you're drunk but I'm not a huge fan while sober.

Ummm. Thanks for your response to my review. But let me just tell you ONE or TWO things. When the waitress came to my table...there was the same EXACT amount of food left on both of our plates. Minus most of the fries. (As I stated before..they were halfway decent)Also we said things were great? Nah...not at all. I absolutely said things were OK...it was late...I was hungry and expected better.. I didn't receive it. There was no point at whatever time it was to get the situation rectified. But for you to respond and blatantly lie about how my food and service was is ridiculous. I'm not the only review that was bad. That's it. No more..no less. Just take the constructive criticism and do better. Bc if you knew better you would do better. Thanks.

Pizza was pretty good and I like that they stay opened late.A night like tonight I didn't get get a chance to eat until late and didn't have time/too tired to cook. All the other places close at 10pm. So this place was clutch. Didn't give it 5 stars because it was my first time ordering and I only got a medium pizza. Which was really good btw. I look forward to ordering from hear again.

I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and curly fries... All star didn't have curly fries so I asked for regular fries with a side of cheese and they refused. Then I asked for seasoned fries and they said crab fries were too much extra to substitute. Their order and stock was underwhelming and they wouldn't give the customer extra cheese for their own error! If this wasn't the only shop in town after 1:30 am they would be out of business due to their customer support... Just ridiculous! I will try not to order from them from here on out and you should too!! What's a small minor order of cheese that they refused... Horrible!

This rating is mostly based on the fact they are the only place by my work that is open late enough to coincide with my 'lunch' break at 2 am. Even when I called 15 minutes before closing one night, the woman on the phone was very sweet and still let me place a delivery order. I've seen the pizza before and have been told by co-workers (and Yelpers) that it's pretty awful. I usually stick with a cheesesteak with whiz, fried onions and sweet peppers. Skimpy on the onions and peppers (so order extra) but the steak itself is reliably satisfactory. Last time I ordered the broccoli and cheese bites - amazing. Will definitely be ordering those again. I will admit I have yet to garner up enough courage to try their pizza and I'm not sure I ever will.

I live pretty close to All Star and it has yet to fail after a night of drinking. It seems to become my go-to for walks back from the bars as I havent had a problem with the food or service. I havent tried any other menu item besides the BBQ wings, but they absolutely hit the spot. And let's be honest, even if you have a problem with the food, any place that is open as late as they are deserves some credit.

Would you like some mold with that? This place was never good, not even for drunk food, and I avoided it mostly entirely. Recently when a friend suggested that we grab a quick bite from there I semi-reluctantly agreed and ordered chicken quesadillas which came with a side of sour cream and salsa. However, when I opened the salsa, it was a small container of mold- maybe it was once salsa but it was unrecognizable. I don't want to even know about what is in the rest of their food! For the health of everyone in the area, I would be thrilled to see this place shut down. For now, I highly suggest avoiding this place like the plague. Should you decide to chance it, I wish you happy puking!

It's so funny that people expect 5-star gourmet pizza, chicken fingers & burgers from a place that's open and delivers until like 3AM during the week. I literally live across the street from All Star Pizza and couldn't love this place more! My boyfriend always gets a stromboli which is huge for the price we pay and I love love love their buffalo chicken cheesesteak.

Everything is pretty average at All Star Pizza. Not really good, but not that bad either. It is a good late night spot since it is one of the only places open after midnight and they deliver. The pizza is decent and the fires are average. They do have good chicken fingers. We order from here for late night eats quite often and it does the job, but I would never go really go here otherwise.

N.B. The given star rating does not imply that this place is comparable to other three-star establishments; the rating given here is skewed, as no one has ever had food from All Star while sober. That said, as I recall, All Star is the best food I've ever had--ever. Every time I ordered it, I was starving and it was 3am. When all other establishments had left me for dead, All Star was there to rescue me, much like a St. Bernard with a barrel of rum tethered to its collar, there to rescue a moribund skier. I don't recall how much it costs--I just gave the delivery guy money until he left--but I assume that the price is good, too. So, if you're kind of far from sober, awake at 3am, and starving in Manayunk, call All Star. They will be at your house in no time, and you won't be able to recall a time when you've had better food.

You're eating All Star because they are open late, not because you're looking for a fine dining experience. I'm not quite sure how late they are open, but I believe they delivery to 4 AM and are usually rather quick.

First time I've ordered from this place. I ordered the chicken Stromboli - and I have to say it was one of the worst Stromboli's I've ever had. Being Italian, I have grown up eating Stromboli's all the time - and this one takes the cake (as the worst). The dough is the only redeeming factor - it was alright. As soon as I cut it open, a very large amount of liquid came pouring out of the Stromboli - I had to hold the box on an angle over the kitchen sink. The onions were soggy and dripping - so were the green peppers. The chicken had no taste whatsoever. Not a hint of salt or pepper. You could tell that the cheese was the cheapest option - as it also had no taste whatever, and was generally rubbery. The rest of the Stromboli ended up in the trash. (Such a waste). To give them credit, I've heard that they have pretty good wings - but I probably won't be ordering from here again regardless after this experience. Oh well.

2.3 STARS. What a mixed place! 4 star buffalo chicken cheese steaks but 1 star pizza. If you order at this place, you need to know what to get as much as what to avoid. Cheese steak is middle of the road 3 stars and everything else besides the afore-mentioned is slightly below average. Their pizza has no redeeming qualities except for it is better than Marrones and previously frozen. Friendly blue collar atmosphere that makes you feel welcome.

You know a pizza place isn't great when it's not even good when drunk. The one big plus of All Star is it's proximity to my house and very late hours. Additionally, the staff is friendly and service is good. The food on the other hand..... I've never got anything at All Star and thought it was good. Pizza, sandwiches, etc... Pretty much is shitty fair

Got pickup last night with my boyfriend and a friend for dinner/munchies as we planned to drink later on. Got the #7 Special (XL pizza, 40 piece wings, fries, and a 2 liter for like $28). Pizza was decent and the fries were fine, but, I've had better. The wings were absolutely phenomenal, though. I wholly recommend them . Overall a good value.

It's terrible but sometimes you have no choice since its one of the only late night places in the neighborhood. Drunk food for sure.

Good not great delivery food. Do not order their pizza. Burgers and sandwiches are decent.

Awful pizza and unfriendly staff. I don't even know why I ordered here a second time after the first experience was bad. Never going back to this place. The only positive for this place is that they are open late.

Hey... the place delivers til 4 AM. I don't care what it tastes like when I'm drunk--all I care is that I can make diet mistakes after a night on the town.

  • Brent M.

The food is really sub-par. If I could recommend anything then it's the pizza. It's low quality but has gotten better over the years. It was open to 4 am so when I was in my 20s I hit it up every night and it worked out well. Just don't think that anything is going to taste fantastic if you're sober.

I was visiting my friend in East Falls and we decided to go out for ice cream. On the way I realized that while I definitely did want ice cream I wanted some food first. We passed this restaurant and I suggested we stop. My friend had ordered delivery from them and agreed. I was hoping to get a slice but they do not serve pizza by the slice. We decided to share a small pie. We ordered at the counter and had a seat. The counter girl brought everything out to us before our pizza arrived. The pie came out in record time and was just perfect. The crust was thick and soft. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. While it's not the best pizza I've ever had in my life, it was damned tasty and I will return!

After a disappointing night at Monk's (cold food and long waits), we decided to get some late night eats from a neighborhood favorite. We ordered 20 hot wings and a 2-liter of Coke for delivery and, although they said it would be 45 minutes, it arrived in about 10. The wings were crispy, hot and delicious and, surprisingly, the delivery guy remembered the soda. What more can you ask for on a Saturday night at 11:30pm?

I'm in love! I just moved to Manayunk and we ate here on the first day and every time we go back it gets better and better! The staff is so so nice and the food is absolutely great! Their chicken cheesesteaks rock.

  • L R.

Sharlene deserves about 10 stars as does the delivery guy. Food is okay. Sometimes it's worse and sometimes it's better but consistently it's edible. Most of the business is delivery so if you want a table, I guarantee you'll get one.

Good food, but the service is AWFUL! Especially at night, the customer service is obviously not a priority in this pizzaria. The night time girl has a terrible attitude, both in person and on the phone.

they deliver late. too late. and often knock insistently without paying attention to the unit number on their order. a while back I had some stoner neighbors who ordered out from this place at least every weekend, and probably once a month I would have the delivery guy hammering away at my door at 3:30am rather than theirs because he only skimmed the address slip. fun times.

Food is ok. Nothing very special. Your typical pizza spot fare. I actually stopped using All-Star because every time I ordered delivery they would call me back and say they didn't delivery to my house. Then they would figure out that my house was literally 2 miles from the restaurant and everything was okey dokey. Then I would get another call from the delivery guy because he was lost. I got tired of answering the phone so I just stopped ordering from All-Star. Get a clue and a GPS.

Best Wings and fast delivery in the Rox/yunk hood. Try Alex's on leverington for the best pizza but they don't deliver; cause they don't have to!

  • Brian D.

I have tried a number of pizzas since moving here to Rox/Manayunk. This place has by far the better pizza than most. I have bought the Flaming Rooster pizza and must say it is the best. I tried the cheese fries and was not that impressed. Eck's on Shurs Lane still has the best cheese fries. If you want good pizza and pizza late or I should say early morning then this is the place to order from.

If you're looking for late night pizza delivery in Manayunk/Roxborough this is one of your only options. Unfortunately, their food is not the greatest. It will get you by if you're starving at 2:30 am on a Saturday, but the pizza is greasy and the dough does not seem very fresh. I haven't tried many items on their menu other than pizza and a few appetizers, but I would not order from here if it wasn't 3 in the morning.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
