I really love Middle Eastern food so when I find a place that is run by actual middle eastern people I will always hold them to a higher standard than let's say "Pita Pit" I will give this plays 2.5 stars. I had the chicken wrap and when I got a two inch stick that looked more like a snack wrap from Mickey D's I was baffled but it's not the size that matters, right? So no points lost here. It did take a while to get it done which only means that it was freshly made. I was asked if I wanted hot sauce to which I gave my yea, and then I waited, and waited, and then waited some more. The wrap: it was tasty, traditionally tasty however the hot sauce they used is more befitting a Chinese restaurant and not Middle Eastern cuisine. I'll try something else from there and hopefully add a star.

I grew up eating Middle Eastern food. And along with the cumin-infused, garlic-rich cooking, was a great dear of hospitality. Known for their sense of humor and hospitality, it is easy to get along with someone from the Middle East. And that's true of Ali. I used to visit his stand when I went to Temple (admittedly, not often, even). He remembered me years later. We got to talk about his life and his family's life and hardships. He's quite friendly. He was the only one cooking, so it took a minute for my kofta (ground beef with cumin, garlic, and parsley) and rice to be served. It tasted familiar. Not a kabob, like advertised, but still seasoned the right way. It was a heavy and filling meal that I enjoyed quite a bit. True, the hummus needs a bit more work, as did the salad, but considering how gentle the owner is and how generous the portions were, I left satisfied.

The guy who takes orders is super nice, but the Middle Eastern portion of the menu (only part I've tried) is disappointing. I'm Lebanese, so I like to think that I know good Middle Eastern food; however, I did not find it here. The hummus was too thin in consistency and lacked taste, and the falafel tasted off and was overcooked.

Smallest and worst falafel I've ever had. I had to order something else from another place for a second lunch. Considering how many places will serve you up a killer falafel in the city, I doubt I'll be back here. I can't comment on the other menu items though, they might be good? And the owner did seem nice as other reviewers have mentioned. I feel bad giving one star... but the falafel really was weak.

I can't help myself, I have to give Ali's 5 stars. 1. This is a hop, skip, and jump away from my office and you can call ahead. 2. Ali learns your name by the time you've visited like two or three times. 3. He's always got a smile on his face and he's open more than any other vendor during Temple's off-times. 4. The food is good (duh). For breakfast my choice is usually egg, cheese, peppers, and onions on a bagel or as an omelette. For lunch it's the chicken kebab platter. This normally comes with chicken, rice, hummus, pita, and a little salad - but I always opt for extra hummus and add hot sauce to the whole thing. It's massive in size and can last for two lunches, if I want it to. I love Ali's :)

Only had breakfast here, but the Stuffed breakfast wrap is delicious. Cooked to order with fresh ingredients!

What a disappointment. Ice cold falafels with no flavor, served with brown bland lettuce and a mushy slice of tomato. The hummus was thin, watery and totally flavorless. Pita was thin and stale. Pass this one by.

Their gyros. Damned delicious. I used to get them from City View...shame on me.
