Food was very good but they lost a possible new customer had a gift card for seventy five dollars I ordered food for take out when I went to pay he said they don't except gift cards! Maybe they should have it written on the gift card or take out menu ! it actually had take out written on the gift card! After my husband came in and questioned where its written he took it but seemed angry. Guess his business must be great cause he didn't even try to be nice.

This is always one of my favorite places. For some reason it is never overly crowded which is good. They became a BYOB last year. The pesto with the bread is really good. This is one of my favorite places in the neighborhood to get penne alla vodka. It is always good and everything is reasonable priced. Everyone I take here always enjoys their meal too.

I totally disagree with some of the reviews.....My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for many years and have never had a bad meal. We actually went last night and the food and service was fabulous....it only gets better in time! They are now serving brick oven pizza....the tomato pie is the best.

I guess it beats cooking but the food here isn't worth dining out in my opinion. It's been a while since I've eaten here & as I thought of my previous meal here it's nothing that anyone couldn't whip up at home. I ordered the chicken florentine. It had no taste just very oily. I smothered it in grated Parmesan , that helped a little but all I tasted was the cheese. The only thing we ordered that had somewhat of a taste to it was the risotto which accompanied a scallops dish, even then needed to add cheese. Tried heating up the next day, sometimes leftovers develop more flavor- nope. Couldn't even finish it. We had a great waiter & they have very good crusty bread but even tho we're locals, won't be back.

Went here on a first date. :) My date was super excited to come to this place and he says it's been his go-to Italian joint for years. The place is a little generic looking on the inside but clean :) We ordered a bottle of pinot noir which was good. (BTW $25 bottles of wine!!!) Next we were served a bread basket along with a pesto spread. The bread was very rubbery but the pesto spread was creamy and delicious. My date suggested the Vitello Saltimbocca (shitake mushrooms, sage, prosciutto and mozzarella cheese) with chicken instead of veal. So we both ordered this. The salad was brought out after we ordered and I was a little disappointed and kind of surprised that they would serve such a skimpy dinner salad. It had just about 2 pieces of lettuce! Lastly, our entree was served. The chicken was lightly breaded and friend and covered with mozzarella, prosciutto and mushrooms and was covered with a brown Marsala-like sauce. Very flavorful. The dish was also served with a side of pasta and marinara which was also good. Overall, the service was prmpt and friendly :) A good dining experience. (I took a few snap shots of their menu deals)

The food is absolutely delicious but the portions about six months ago were very large now they're very small. I am not a big eater and I walked out hungry the last two times!

Oh boy. Let's pretend you are at a business lunch with your largest client. Starving, you order fettuccine carbonara. What arrives is fettuccini and hot milk soup with pancetta and chunks of egg on top. Your client asks how you are enjoying this meal. What do you do? The real answer is that you politely say, "It's okay" and force yourself to eat a few bites before you send it away. No doggie bag, please! What I really wanted to do is send it back and walk out. Ugh! This dish is actually pictured on this very website but captioned incorrectly as "penne alla vodka." What you see in the picture is clearly the fettuccini and on top is the chunks of egg I reference. This means they have made this dish like this before. Carbonara is an egg-based sauce. Eggs should not be a topping!!! Blec! The final insult was their iced tea, a crappy mix that tasted like chemicals. A few positive items to note. The bread was exceptional, the service was fine and the bill for 3 for lunch was under $45. My advice, skip it.

I went to Adriano's last night with my husband for a make-up anniversary dinner (the Flyers were playing on our actual anniversary, so there was no time for a romantic evening). We also had a Groupon deal- $29 dinner for two (appetizer, 2 entrees). I really enjoyed this place. The ambiance was very nice- dimly lit (but not dark) and nice Italian decor. The place wasn't crowded, so we were seated promptly without a reservation. Right away we were brought a basket of warm bread and probably the freshest pesto I've ever had. I was a little wowed by this because I've never received pesto as a complimentary accompaniment to bread before- very classy. Then, the wine list. Nothing too fancy, but still good. My husband and I were still not sure what we would get to eat yet, so we played it safe and ordered a bottle of white zinfandel- and it wasn't Sutter Home either! Bonus: ALL of the bottles are $25! Where would you ever find a deal like that? For our appetizer, we ordered the Calimari con Gamberi- Calamari and Shrimp Fried and topped with shitake mushrooms and hot peppers. The calimari was cooked perfectly, which is always tough to come by even in the nicest establishments. The shrimp was well-seasoned and succulent. Also, the mushrooms and peppers created this lovely brothy sauce that was just delicious. However, the mushrooms and peppers had a slightly off taste, and we did not eat them. For entrees, I ordered veal with crabmeat and spinach, which was delicious. It had a delicate, garlicky lemon sauce that paired perfectly with the veal. Also, the crabmeat was prepared perfectly- very buttery and delicate. My husband had veal marsala, which he raved about. For me, it was a little on the sweet side for my taste, but I am very picky about my marsala. We weren't going to get dessert, but figured we'd take a look at their dessert tray. We originally wanted the tiramisu, but they were out of it. Instead we went with a slice of cheesecake that was amazing! I would love to know where they get it, because it was very authentic. It was dense, tart and had a lovely cake crust (not graham cracker) that would have made any native New Yorker swoon. I have read some negative reviews about Adriano's in reference to the service, which I did not agree with. I thought the service was very good. Our dinner had a nice, slow pace that allowed us to complete each course without feeling rushed, but we also did not wait very long in between courses. Our server was very sweet and accommodating, and he received a handsome tip as a result. We will definitely be returning to Adriano's in the future. As an added bonus, I noticed on a chalkboard in the front that the have a $20 3 course dinner special as well. For the quality of the food, you can't beat that deal!

Just went yesterday for dinner with family, parents and in-laws. Besides the bread, which was delicious, the entrees were average at best. The service was at bit slow. I will not be returning unless invited to do so by others.

I have been here once and would not return. Food was about a step below the Olive Garden. My chicken parmigiana was so overcooked and had very little flavor. Really nothing memorable about the experience at all.

My wife and I have been going to Adriano's for a long time now and quite often...My wife has tried many things on the menu and seems to like them all and really love some...The staff is always friendly and the food is always hot, not spicy, temperature wise and I love that...I have had mainly chicken dishes and I like all and love some...They have fresh pesto that comes w.bread and the pesto is wonderful...The only questionable part of my experience is that the bread is hit or miss sometimes...They have a cream of asparagus soup that is excellent...We have eaten at this restaurant over 130 times roughly to date and we have yet to find anything major to complain about...We have had anniversaries here, birthday's here, girl's night out here and so on...Sometimes it's a little slow but only when there is a packed house...This usually occurs on Saturday night so be prepared...There is a small bar w.a real friendly bartender and a couple TV's usually w.the games on them...The bathrooms seem to be clean whenever I or my wife use them and I know that this is very important to the ladies...We usually get the same waitress who has a great personality and is on top of things...The other servers are great as well so my wife and I will keep on coming back till something changes...I usually don't give a place 5 stars but the average is so and I must give it a 5 star...All and all a nice cozy mom pop place run by an Italian who cares about his business and it shows...The food is good, the price is right and the staff is friendly...What else is there...

I ate here for lunch one day during a business trip. When I got there, the place was completely empty, except for a couple sitting at the bar. I was seated immediately and my drink order was taken immediately. I was given a lunch menu. There were a lot of options for a lunch menu. I ordered a Penne Primavera and added sausage to the meal. It came with a side salad and some bread, for starters. The food was pretty good. No complaints. The portion was a reasonable size. The prices for the lunch menu were very reasonable. My order came out to about $10 (with soft drink and the addition of Italian sausage to the meal). Service was a bit on the slow side, especially considering that the place was empty. At some point, the (only) waitress' gentleman friend showed up and they started talking. After that, service became even slower. When I was ready for my check, she hadn't been around for a while (she was hanging out at the bar, talking to her gentleman friend). I had to walk up to the bar to ask for the check, at which point, she seemed embarrassed (possibly for forgetting that she had an actual customer). I would guess that this was an one-off incident. If I lived in the area, I would definitely give this place another shot.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
