My go-to place on the way to a weekly meeting, and on the way outta town for fun or business. Simple cup of coffee? Perfectly brewed here. Want a little more in your cup? Latte, mocha, frozen? Want tea? All yummy, all perfectly made (not quickly made! but perfectly crafted) to order. If you're lucky you can snag the best Morning Glory muffin around, or one of the gluten-free treats. There's a selection of sandwiches, salads and sides, and quiche so good I took a whole one home for dinner. They use locally sourced ingredients, and the atmosphere is simple, peaceful, comfy and welcoming. Take a seat inside, lounge at the cafe style tables out front, and enjoy.

This is one of the best places I can think of to stop for coffee and a quick breakfast. Conveniently located between my parents and in-laws, we try to stop here whenever we're visiting town. A few times they have been closed (besides Mondays) when we visit, so now I've started to call ahead to make sure they will be open (otherwise it's a sleepy drive!). Raw milk, almond milk, upside down lattes...oatmeal, scones...all delicious!

I needed a place to kick back and get a little computer work done and this spot, though out of my way, was perfect. Very nice, free wifi and the rice pudding is worth the trip.

Found ourselves in Pennsylvania looking for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Read yelp reviews and found this gem off the beaten path. Good coffee, delicious bagel and we are set for the day.

Can't get enough of this place! The staff is friendly, the building is beautiful, the coffee is amazing and the food is delicious!! Love meeting with clients here. The only downside is the limited seating in the winter, caused mostly by the fact that they're consistently busy... It's always great to bring new people here... everyone always falls in love with this place!

The only coffee house I have ever seen that gives you the option of using local raw milk in the drinks. Great local place adjoined to a nice health food store. Friendly staff and vibe.

Great place for good coffee and treats - BUT don't order your bagel toasted. For some reason, it takes then 17 to 26 minutes to toast a bagel. I think they are using a home toaster in the back there. Anyway...smoothies are still great, so many coffees to pick, all great. Snacks that are savory and sweet and all great. They sell an assortment of other goods - milk, meats more and these are local and wonderful too. Well worth a visit. ++++

We took a food adventure trip from Philly to Ottsville to check out some of the recommendations in this month's Edible Philly Magazine. We went for coffee at Brig O'doon and enjoyed excellent coffee and some superb bagels. We ended up coming back for lunch because two of the places we wanted to check out were closed. So we enjoyed lunch there as well. They have some of the best iced coffee anywhere. Three kinds of decaf roast and a huge selection of fresh ground coffees. Their multi grain bread for the sandwiches is home baked. ( I wish they sold the bread by the loaf!) Great, friendly and efficient service too. We spent some time talking to the owner about the food scene in Ottsville and don't laugh, because there is a significant one. Want a nice road trip out of Philly? Venture up Rt 611 outside Doylestown and check out the great places. Make sure you stop at least once at Brig O'doon!

Best local coffeehouse! Extremely caring and friendly staff, good food (gluten/vegan/etc) and especially good coffee at really reasonable prices! Love going here every Saturday morning. The early bird gets the worm here, so don't sleep in too much or you'll miss out on your favorite bagel! Also the owner/manager really goes out of his way to thank you for being there and making sure you're being helped.

My family drives 40 minutes to stock up on their Nutty Buddy ground coffee. It is so rich but not too bitter and can be made with minimal cream and sugar...something I never thought I'd say! The people there are very nice, it is very much a small town family atmosphere which I love. The place is always well kept and their prices are great.

We have been going here as often as almost every Saturday mornings now. I just love this place. Their chicken salad sandwich is awesome. I can tell the chicken isn't frozen or canned ones. They make it classic and simple. Nothing over the top which is just the way I like it. Their bagels are yummy and I'm not a bagel person! We order this often, toasted and they come out pretty quick. Nothing more than 5 minutes. And they now serve FRESHLY SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE. It's absolutely delicious. No sugar, no additives. Just real orange juice!! Love that.

Best coffee house in the area! The crew always remembers your name, you usually see the owner and/or family members around. They're honest, helpful, and extremely knowledgable. Everytime I stop in for coffee or chai, I always wish I could stay longer. They have plenty options for the health-conscious and food allergy people: raw milk, almond milk, soy, etc. Inspiring representation of a Christian family-owned company.

FAMILY OWNED. Now that's a nice feature. Did I mention it's also awesome? Great coffee, good food, lovely inside and outside seating, nice atmosphere. ... and connected to Kimberton Whole Foods for fresh local vegetables, health foods, ridiculous natural soap selection, ditto vitamins and herbal supplements (an entire room for gosh sakes), and a sweet selection of gift items.

LOVE THIS COFFEE SHOP! They have THE FLUFFIEST bagels, they are amazing and so soft. Get a bagel with jalapeno cream cheese, YUM! The employees are also very nice and attentive, they make an extra effort to remember your name if you come every so often. The coffee is delicious and they offer a good selection daily. They also have baked goods if you're lucky (or come early before they are all gone).. the salted caramel mini cupcake is a little bite of heaven! Definitely go if you are in the area! It is a hidden gem! I make the trip up there from Doylestown at least once a week!

Favorite coffee house anywhere! Always brewing strong to mild and everything in between. Don't ever change.

This is a great place to grab a quick breakfast, coffee, or lunch! The staff is friendly, the coffee and other drinks are consistently good. There are always fresh cookies, tea breads, and scones sitting out, and although I usually try not to let them tempt me, I can say the baked goods are delicious. For lunch, there are usually two fresh-made soups on-hand and three sandwich types, as well as bagels of various types. Last, but certainly not least, the the bagel chips are AMAZING. I usually ask for a double order for myself! If you are ever in the area, be sure to stop in!

Phenomenal coffee. The cup of 'Jamaican me Crazy' I had this weekend may have been one of the best cups of coffee I've *ever* had.

This place is about halfway between my home and office and have always wanted to try it. This morning I was running way early (which never happens) so I veered off 611 and headed towards Brig O'doon on Durham - and how happy I am that I did. The coffee house is a beautiful stone house that is very grand indeed. I was greeted by a friendly young man behind the counter and I ordered a medium vanilla chai ($3.71 including tax). There are scones and muffins set out, a case of fresh made sandwiches and desserts, a rack of books and newspapers and several tables set up. There's also a table outside with an umbrella for warmer days. My vanilla chai (must have been a powder because there wasn't a sachet in my cup) was awesome and I wish I'd gotten a large because I'd still be sipping on it. Definitely worth taking the road less traveled for. I'd hang there on the regular, but it's half an hour away...and I still need to check out the local coffee houses in my town.

Pretty sure I wrote that last review before I ordered a bagel. Apparently these bagels come from some magical bagel creator in Bethlehem, and they are GREAT. Especially with olive cream cheese (it's even better than it sounds) and an iced coffee. In my mental filing cabinet, the bagels moved Brig O'doon from "nice place to stop in" to "I absolutely must go here if I'm in the area and they're open."

What a charming coffee house! We stopped in for a latte (delicious) and also had one of their veggie sandwiches (avocado, tomato, hummus, cheese, red onion and lettuce on great bread). It all just hit the spot. This friendly cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating and is a gem of a find in Ottsville!
