First and last time here. Ordered a pizza, wings, and spaghetti alfredo around 9:40pm on a Saturday night, when they are open until 10:30pm. I arrived at 10 and everything was cleaned up and staff ready to leave. That should have been my first sign. I got home ten minutes later, opened up my pizza and immediately knew it wasn't made fresh. It was clearly a few hours old. Stone cold, hard cheese, and tough dough. Heating it up in the microwave didn't even help the cheese to soften. It was gross! The wings were also cold and very bland. I ordered mild and they has no taste to them. There was a good amount of meat on the wings though. The alfredo was hot, which is a plus, but it seriously lacked flavor and was very greasy. I can get over the wings and alfredo, but not the pizza. If you think your customers are stupid enough not to know the difference between a fresh pizza and an old one, you're extremely mistaken. I would not recommend this place. My search for good pizza in the valley continues.

First time I came here was to pick up an order my mom phoned in. We were new to the area and not knowing how this place worked, I walked in to get my order and apparently if you get some pizza deal you get a drink too. The woman who runs the counter has the most sour attitude ever for such a small town and I just shrugged it off and said that's fine. I gave them another shot on my way home from school and the pizza was not as fresh as it could be, the crust was tough and the garlic knots were average. The sauce is good. I ordered online this time before picking up and got 2 bottles drinks but the lady said "why would you get bottled drinks when you get soft drinks?" Wtf where was that? Even the chef came out and started barking at me. He was like "next time you come in make sure you know what you want" so I left and we haven't been back since. Horrible customer service and bad pizza. Go somewhere else.

Probably my favorite pizza place in Northampton area. I order the Hawaiian pie and cheese steak sandwich everytime and it comes out right. Love them. Friendly staff as well.

Amazing pizza with their own seasoning! Everything is good here, it's a win over Mario's on the other side if Northampton!

Palermo's pizza is about as mediocre as it gets. If you're going to eat here I suggest getting the plain cheese pizza. The cheese pizza is the least offensive choice and is merely passable, I wasn't angry that I ate it but I wasn't exactly begging for more. The real reason this place gets two stars is the veggie pizza. It's bad enough that the plain cheese pizza barely has any character itself, but when you pile on a random assortment of veggies any taste that was there to begin with quickly disappears. My pizza was wet from the water from the veggies and as bland as it gets. It was like someone slapped boiled vegetables onto a day old cheese pizza. NOT a good experience. I'm not sure what kind of pizza choices are available in Northampton to begin with but this is not the place you want to be going. The cheese pizza is edible. That's about as kind as I can get.

Wow, for me to downgrade Palermo's from 5 stars to 1 star is significant. On a whim, I went with a guest this week for a personal-size pizza. It was a snowy day and it seemed they were closing soon. (Unfortunately they mop the floors with bleach while the restaurant is still open and the smell is unpleasant.) Ordered the pizza with the garlic which I have ordered many times before. The pizza arrives, tried to cut a slice off, and the crust was tough. I taste it and think, "Something's wrong." I tried to pick up the scent of the beautiful garlic we ordered and it was barely detectable. The crust was thicker than usual, burned on the bottom, and absolutely flavorless. The sauce which has always been perfectly seasoned was bland and hardly any on, and I ended up dumping garlic salt, oregano and hot pepper flakes on for flavor. Eventually, we sent it back because the crust was burned and tasteless. The server declared it's all the same crust. THAT was a head scratcher for me. So, I reread my old review right there in the restaurant and told the other guest, "Something is wrong, they are having an OFF day." The next pizza came, same exact way, just a bit thinner. Still tough, burned tasteless chewy cardboard. Same flavorless sauce. Reminded me of just stopping at any random pizza place and getting lousy pizza or just as bad - those places where "it depends on who's in the kitchen", i.e., the old gamble. The server brought our bill and took $3 off and confessed someone new was making the pizza that night. I did tell her that I was VERY disappointed, that if it were my first time there, I would never come back. Ironically I wanted to have my birthday meal there and order an entree but now I will go elsewhere. No gambling on my special day at $9-$13.50/entree!

Staff behind the counter was eager to take my order and to get my order right. Clean dining area. Did take-out, cheesesteak, pizza, garlic knots. Will definitley be going back as the food was right on point. This place will certainly give that other place a run for their money.

Great food for dine in. We have taken out & dined in. We enjoy the food more there. However, the owners granddaughters like to sit at the front counter, texting & playing around. This is not good. Had a talk with the owner. He seems to be a very doting grand pop. May not be good for business though. Will go back to dine in & enjoy the fabulous service given by the non-blood related server! Received awesome service from her.

We ordered the Sicilian pie for take-out which was good. Thick and cheesy. The salad that we ordered was a bit lacking on the lettuce. Friendly people and great atmosphere though. No delivery. Will go back to try their other fare!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
