Beck's Land and Sea House is one of the best restaurants in the Northampton and Lehigh Counties. The owners really know what they are doing in every aspect of running a successful restaurant. All of the staff from the busboys to the servers are exceptional and very friendly! The head waiter Jeremiah is one of the most attentive, friendly knowledgeable servers I have come across and Justin their bartender as far as I am concerned is the best in the area. The owners are always on the premises trying to give their patrons the best experience possible instead of relying on others to run their business for them.Cheryl manages the front of the house and is always very attentive/friendly running her staff very efficiently. I have never come across a restaurant that is as clean as Becks is. Cleanliness is one of the most important areas to me and this is the cleanest restaurant I have ever visited. The food is exceptional and just keeps getting better! We are customers for approximately seven years and have never been let down once and we visit Beck's on average of 2-3 times a month. The seafood is the freshest you will ever experience. You will never smell that fishy smell like many seafood establishments that are preparing seafood that is not at it freshest and finest. The chefs who are also the owners, Cale and Randy just keep getting better with every year that passes. I have sent numerous friends, family and acquaintances here and every one of them came back to me thanking me for the recommendation. Go to Becks today, you will not be disappointed and most likely find a new excellent restaurant to visit on a regular basis.

Went here recently and I was not impressed at all. Actually, I was disappointed. I had heard so much about it. Even the owner was there, a blond woman. I know it was her because I saw her pictures all over the walls with faux "celebrities". She didn't even say hello or smile. While the food was ok, the service needs a lot of improvement. The waitress was rude and v e r y s l o w ! So was the server. Our whole dinner took just shy of 2 1/2 HOURS!!!! For two people. No desserts, no coffee, no drinks. Just dinner. Needless to say, I WILL NOT return.

Beck's may just save me a trip to the shore for seafood. Way better than some of the seafood I've paid good money for at the various East Coast beaches. Good stuff. Will be returning.

Yes, it's basically in the middle of nowhere, but there's a reason why Beck's just won Best Seafood in the Lehigh Valley, and that's because you simply won't find better-prepared, higher quality seafood anywhere in the Valley. (I've looked. Trust me.) Last time I was there, I had the Chilean sea bass topped with jumbo crab, and the presentation and most importantly, the quality and flavor were both spot-on. I really like their drink menu, the bartender makes a mean martini. The guacamole appetizer was delicious, my only complaint is that I wish the serving was bigger! I was there with a large group recently for Mother's Day and the staff couldn't be more professional and accommodating, even when we were a little late (whoops). It's very likely that at some point during your meal, one of the owners will come around and make sure everything is to your liking. I've also been to Beck's during their Oktoberfest, when they have an amazingly authentic German menu with brats galore. This is probably my favorite event that they do, and I hope they continue it. I have yet to try some of their weekly specials, but I hope to do so soon because they sound like great deals. I'm glad I finally got around to reviewing Beck's, because it truly is a hidden gem in the Lehigh Valley.

This was our first visit to Beck's restaurant and I fell in love. I grew up in NYC and ate at some very good restaurants. Since I've moved to the Poconos I was looking for an exceptional restaurant that I wouldn't have to drive 2 hours to get too. I found it only 45 minutes away in Nazerath, Pa. While waiting for our table, we had a couple of drinks at the bar. The aroma from the food was driving us wild. We were hoping the taste was as good as the aroma. We were more than pleasantly surprised! Rachel, our waitress was all smiles and very attentive. First they brought these homemade piping hot rolls that were incredible. My girlfriend and I shared 2 appetizers which were lobster fondue and coconut shrimp dipped in this wonderful marmalade sauce. For the entree, my girl had the South African lobster tail with filet mignon and I had the Chilean sea Bass. I only wish I can describe how delicious it was. For dessert, we shared a chocolate soufflé drizzled with raspberry sauce with vanilla ice cream on the side. We plan on returning for special and not so special occasions. Obviously, we highly recommend Beck's Land and Sea House. Make sure you make reservations in advance.

We go to Beck's for all our special occasions. I am always pleased with the food and service. The lobster is the best I have ever had, and there is always great beer on tap.

Uhhhm yeah. Went here the other night and AMAZING food. Server could've been better but since food was so good still giving 5 stars. For the price, service needs to be better...

Hit here w/ extend familia for special dinner. Wife's crab cakes were dry, but she liked the appy of fried calamari. I had seafood bisq. soup & oysters for appy - both OK. I had seafood efoutte - was also OK. Waiter had us waiting a bit too long to order, but other than that service was fine. Was there on a Sat. nite & had made reservations due to large party. 3.5 Stars

I had an excellent prime rib here. You wouldn't expect a restaurant like this in the "middle of nowhere" to produce such quality. Did I mention that they had an excellent prime rib? Definitely cut from an actual roast and not cooked from individual cuts of meat. My mother loved the bread, which the waiter claimed was made in house. I'm no bread connoisseur but it was certainly a very fresh-tasting and crusty roll. I struggle to think of anything on the menu that didn't taste good. Our entire party of seven people all had a very good time. The seafood was definitely worth the money. I'm sure this is in no small part due to the owners going around and checking each table individually to make sure everything was shipshape. Definitely a hidden gem in Nazareth. Their website also mentions their special deals that run on certain days. They also post coupons there too.

This is the best seafood restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. I appreciate that it is in the middle of nowhere because I feel like it gives me 1/2 a chance of getting reservations on a Friday. They just changed their menu and so far every dish is a hit. My wife is ecstatic about their Chilean sea bass topped with crab. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service, clean bathrooms, this place has it all. Try the spinach and artichoke dip stuffed wontons.

The three of us had dinner on Sat. Night 2/25/12. Early reservation @ 6:00 pm. Dining room was packed by the time we left @ about 7:45pm. Not rush at all. We enjoyed the fried oysters, Chilean sea bass, and steak. All done to perfection . Sides are always quality and variety is top notch. Coffee , but pass on desert. The choices were mouth watering, but had places to be.

Wow, that's the only word that can describe this place. In what seemed like the sticks this place was small, very eloquent and had a excellent surf or turf menu. I had the stuffed mussels and scallops for an appetizer . I followed it up with fresh crab baked with a cheese melt $22.95. The food was pricey but you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend. Don't forget to wash it down with a pint of yeungling beer for the perfect combo.

I always and highly recommend Beck's. They are pricey but worth every cent. I never mind paying good money, especially for great food. Never disappointed. They Lobster Fondue, Tempura Shrimp, and King Crab Legs and to die for. Seriously, incredible!!!

Let me say the food wasn't terrible... it was EVERYTHING else. Visiting my brother and wife we all went out to eat. All of meals came out at random times, some cold, some not cooked...one plate had the waiters thumb in the sauce.... he licked his thumb after setting plate down ( ok Ill roll with that... it wasn't super busy, but maybe they are under staffed). We finish our meal and my brother pulls out his Beck customer card and the waiter says he cant accept that. We are all in shock as the card has NO expiration date and has been honored in past. We ask for a manager to get some clarity. (THIS IS WHERE THINGS GO SOUTH) the 16 year old manager says we don't take cards anymore, nothing I can do. COCKY, RUDE,SMIRK ON HIS PIMPLED FACE. done with this place until they learn respect... I expect this service in concentration camps, not after years of service AND $180.00 bill.

Just ate here for the first time. Dillon was our server and did an excellent job. Knew the menu and was able to answer all of our questions. We ordered several appetizers, coconut shrimp, caramelized scallops, and lobster fondue, and to my surprise they were all terrific! I also travel and rarely eat seafood in this area. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Everything tasted fresh , and was cooked perfectly. Drinks were well made and reasonably priced. We finished with vanilla Creme Brule, and it was spot on! We will definitely go back. My only complaint was that one of my coconut shrimp had not been cleaned, not what I want to eat.

Food has been consistently 4-star quality in each of our 5+ visits and tonight for my father's bday was no exception. Chilean Sea Bass was light and cooked perfectly. My wife and mother's prime rib both cooked to order (medium rare and medium, respectively) and my sister's filet was very tender. Even my 3yr old's chicken fingers were excellent. Desserts were good too - I recommend the peanut butter pie, although the Creme Brulee cheesecake, while super rich, is good as well. Service not up to snuff though and tonight was particularly slow - must have been short staffed. Waitress was very nice and personable but everything came out slowly. We ate at 5:30 based on past experience (again, slow service) and to accomodate my 3 yr old's bedtime process. Only 2 other tables were occupied when we arrived. Although it became progressively busier throughout the evening there is no way our experience should have lasted nearly 3 hrs! The wait was at least 15 minutes for off the shelf desserts (i.e. no chocolate fondant here). Atmosphere is somewhat unremarkable. Nice enough but a little too dark. Admittedly the food is pretty good but this place can't be 4 stars until the service is more reliable, more efficient and more consistent.

We ate in the bar area, a nice seating location for couples. Service was good, food was great. Drinks were icing on the cake. Tip, keep your check in check at this otherwise pricey place since thankfully, their portions are just large enough for two :) Overall a nice place away from the crowds and chains. Would recommend to a friend.

I took my three stepdaughters here last night. We were seated promptly and our server took very good care of us. We split two appetizers, the lobster fondue and the coconut shrimp, and both were delicious. I had the Ahi Tuna entrée which is a salad entrée and that was great. The others had the fried and broiled combos and enjoyed them. For dessert, we shared the peanut butter pie and the mixed berry tart, and those were excellent. One thing about this place that I especially like is that the tables are not crowded together and you feel that you have your own space while dining. The pricing is appropriate for the amount and quality of food. I plan to bring my husband there soon.

Dining Date: 11/15/13 for Dinner Excellent food! Was there during lobster fest. All of the menu specials were fantastic. The only thing preventing 5 stars was the service was slow on a very busy Friday night. Prices are on the high side.

Went here last night and I was not impressed at all. Actually, I was disappointed. While the food was ok, the service needs a lot of improvement. I had Lobster fondue for an appetizer and it was definitely not fondue. It was more like an Alfredo sauce. My entree was the fisherman broiled combo which was ok. It came with a very small piece of haddock, 2 stuffed shrimp, I scoop of crab that had too much filler. The best part of the dish was the scallops. They came out just right. The worst part like I mentioned was the service. The waitress we had was very nice, but v e r y s l o w ! Our whole dinner took just shy of 2 1/2 HOURS!!!! That's uncalled for. Needless to say, I WILL NOT return.

Just called to make reservations for tonight and was informed that Jeremiah no longer works there. That just makes me sad. We are still dining there tonight and I'm sure the food will be outstanding as always but i'm guessing that spark will be gone....that factor that makes an excellent night a perfect night. Oh well, hopefully we get the pleasure of running into Jeremiah again. Cheers!

Dined here for Valentines Day. We had early reservations as they were close to fully booked 3 weeks out. We shared Coconut Shrimp and Roasted Oyster appetizers. Both great! I've dined at Drago's in NOLA a few times and the oysters here rivaled Drago's! I had a Veal Chop. Cooked very well! Broccoli was so cool the whipped butter wouldn't melt on it. My wife had the Sea Bass. It was a large portion and she enjoyed it thoroughly! Not what I'd call a white table cloth restaurant as tables are some sort of laminate. I wouldn't call the atmosphere intimate either but service is right on the spot and friendly! In the end you'll get a great meal and enjoy the people. Really well trained and on top of your every need! Pricing is a little on the high side but good seafood isn't cheap and portion are good sized.

I went here with my wife today for the first time. Being that this was Valentine's Day weekend, I called ahead and made reservations. Their website states no reservations required, but Valentine's Day weekend I figured would be an exception. I was pleased to find a casual and friendly atmosphere which was not snobby, as compared to some of the other high-priced restaurants in the area. After ordering drinks, they brought us out bread. It appeared to be home made and fresh out of the oven. The waitress set a plate of unknown spices down on our table next to our bread and spread some oil into the spices. I'm not sure what the spices were, but dipping the bread into it was spectacular. I've never tasted anything like that before. They definitely have the recipe down pat. We started off with an appetizer, which was spot on. My scallops were perfectly cooked. I'm a big fan of scallops and I know if they are not cooked perfectly, they can become too tough. The scallops in my appetizer were able to be cut with a fork and melted in my mouth. My entree was the Crab Bake with cheese. I must say, this was the best crab dish I've ever had, anywhere. The portion wasn't very big, but wasn't small either. I'd say it was a perfect portion. Nothing went to waste and I was pleasantly filled upon finishing. A lady who looked like she was in charge was going around to everyone's table asking how their food was. When she came to ours, I asked her if she was the Manager. We were pleasantly surprised to find out she was the owner- nice touch! Our waiter came by regularly to see if we were satisfied and if we needed refills on our drinks. This was my first time going to Beck's and I will certainly be back. They run some delicious-sounding specials during the week and I definitely want to try those, such as the mix and match your own entree on Wednesday's and half-price bottles of wine on Thursdays.
