Okay, so their beer selection is phenomenal even if a bit overpriced. But their food is hit or miss. Their buffalo chicken pizza is like the best in Media and their italian Stromboli is delicious, but as for their italian subs - you're better off going to Primo Hoagies across the street, and well, as for their bbq chicken pizza, holy crap, can I have some chicken and cheese with my bbq sauce? I've never had a pizza so drowned in bbq sauce - disgusting. Overall, if you're looking for good beer and a simple pizza order, this is the place to go in Media, but for the love of God, don't order their bbq chicken pizza lest you be drowned in bbq sauce.

We find this as our perfect spot for dinner with the kids when in the mood (which is often), for pizza. Pinocchio's is celebrating 60 years in business and definitely still possesses that vintage feel. Once inside you will find a small bar counter that seats approximately 15, a good amount of larger size booths as well as some tables mixed in. There is also a large window that allows visibility into the pizza shop. This feature serves as a great attraction for the kids, especially if there should be a wait (i.e. Friday nights). We love their pizza, wings and cheese fries. My wife will sometimes audible out and go for the chicken finger salad. All are great and also relatively inexpensive. The kids are also provided with dough balls to play with while waiting for dinner. Who isn't up for the challenge to try to construct the perfect snowman out of pizza dough. P's also has beer garden with an applethera of offerings both in bottle and on draught. An issue I find with many restaurants that offer a wide selection of crafts beers is that they usually do a poor job of communicating to their patrons their expansive offerings including descriptions as well as updating once rotations have been made. P's on the other hand, recently added flat screen monitors that display up to the minute availability of their brews w brief description. We love this place. The food and service are always on par here. P's has something for everyone!

This place is an absolute joke. My BF and I have been wanting to stop by for a while now and boy are we sorry we finally did. If your not familiar with the restaurant, you walk in past the bar and stand and wait... And wait... For someone to seat you. After finally being seated we waited and waited again for our server (I believe her name was Colleen?) to come over. She gave us the old "whaddya want??" Told her our food and drink order and off she went. Little did we know the theme of this meal would be WAITING AND WAITING. Beers arrived (beer selection is the only upside to this place) then a bit later came the two pizzas we ordered.. A veggie and a tomato pie, which were good. Nothing to write home about. I had also saw other tables getting breadsticks which I assumed were complimentary and asked for an order because we were never offered them. After delivering our food, our server processed to go out to the front of the restaurant and have a leisurely smoke with a friend. We were sitting near the window so could see her out there for 10 minutes or so. We sat with empty beer glasses hoping someone would take notice and offer to get us another beverage since our server seemed to have better things to do. At this point I'm getting pretty fed up and wondering where a manager is.. Not one person of any authority seemed to be present. After watching our server come in from her smoke break, not even wash her hands, and start working again I was ready to go. We waited another 20 minutes. Finally a bus boy came over to clear our plates and I asked him to ask for a box and the check. Paid our bill and got the heck out of there. We will NEVER return and if anyone ever asks about Pinocchio's I'll certainly tell them of our experience. I don't know how they've held it together for 60 years.... Maybe many leisurely and unsanitary smoke breaks.

They are coming up on their 60th anniversary have a week of specials plan for everyone. On Tuesday May 12th many their prices are going to go back to 60 cents. On Wednesday may 13th its back to the fifties celebration with a DJ from Wmmr are here. On Thursday May 14th is my favorite called give back Thursday. They will donate 15 percent of your bill to one of four media charities. Friday is a family night special for $20 not sure what it is but it sounds interesting. Saturday May 15 is Family fun day they celebrate 60 years with free slices of pizza, live music and tons of fun for everyone 12 to 5. They have revamp the menu and the food is definitely gotten better its worth another try.

If I didn't have good experiences here before this would be one star. I'll break this into two parts one part pizza place and the other part beer garden. The beer garden was great when it first opened but I feel after the last 9-10 months they have had the same selection. Every time I'm there. I find myself looking for something different but it's always the same. God forbid you go in there during a peak hour, there is no room and the people hoarding around the counter by the cash register won't give you the space you need to look in the cooler behind them. The restaurant used to have a decent pizza. I remember in college going here on Wednesdays for all you can eat pizza but I don't know what happened between then and now. Me and some friends were hungry so we headed here tonight me and another friend wanted to split a plain upside down pizza. I kid you not they must have cooked the bread and cheese in the oven then dumped sauce on it after. When it was brought to the table the lake of sauce was steaming but was not hot or bubbling which gave me the impression it was added after. Please look at my picture and you will see this massive abundance of sauce just pouring off the pizza after removing a slice. It was a mess. I would have expected this type of pizza from a teenager mad at home. This is sad.

The sauce and cheese were sparse and the sausage was some sort of generic pseudo-meat that didn't even taste like sausage! The pepperoni was fine. Stopped in for dinner...pizza. We were somewhat disappointed. After a 30+ minute wait we were seated in a stale back room I have never even noticed before. Did not seem like air conditioning was working. Nothing worse than trying to eat when hot and/or uncomfortable. That aside, we ordered margaritas which we sent back and got wine instead. The were so sweet they were not drinkable. The waitress was very professional, made no fuss, and brought us a nice glass of wine. Went on to order chips and guac which was tasty. Then ordered a vegetarian pizza. It was just OK, not the pizza experience I remember from here, just not too good. In the past, we have always gotten great pizzas here. The vibe seemed overcrowded/cramped and very hectic, not relaxing. I think the quality is starting to suffer. Avoid the crazy, cramped dinner crowd on Thurs, Fri and sat night-yikes, unless you want to wait a long time or sit at the bar (or the beer garden out back?). Not sure if the buzzers for tables work out there. Still seems like great place to take the kids (pizza dough, kids menu), but for the current prices the food should be just as good as it used to be :(. Waitress was good and professional, as mentioned, but the night we went it was not worth the wait.

This was very good. We came here because we were shopping in the area. It is a typical looking pizza shop but the beer list is extensive and the food was great. My wife had a calzone which she said was great. She ate the entire 12". And I had a meatball call one which was also really good. If u are looking for a relaxed atmosphere this is definitely a good spot. Was not too loud and was also not too stuffy which is important for us because we have a new born. I would recommend this place for anyone interested in really good calzones, pizzas, Strombolis and Greek salads. Oh also they give the kids dough to play with and the kids loooooove it!!!!

What an awesome place! My friend raved about this place and I see why. As soon as you walk in there are refrigerators with many beers from all over the world! The guys up front in the beer garden were helpful and answered questions on particular beers. My buddies and I ventured in the dining area for a bite. The waitress there was very sweet and took care of us promptly. Our food came out in 10 minutes and it was delicious. I had the roast turkey sandwich and it was so juicy. This is a review mostly for the beer section and not for the attached restaurant. Such is the crazy current PA laws so this review will focus on the retail beer outlet. Inside it's pretty small but offers a solid selection. The isle is quite small, and you would think from outside the place would be larger but it isn't it's a tad cramped, Numerous recent brews that are distributed plus a few occasional PA surprises that might be as common for the East Coast. Deschutes, Port Brewing and Lost Abbey, Alesmith, Jester King, the odd Russian River. THere is great service here though, with very cordial staff who will help you out with any questions, but without being pushy. Rural PAs provides some reasonable prices, and nothing here is outrageous. However, there are only a few odd selections that peaked my interest. I probably wouldn't make my way out here on a long trip, but if I was in the area without question I would stop by to take a look for some tasty brews. Growlers are available as well.

If you can not find something to eat here then I do not know what to tell you. Usually I go for the pizza and a couple of apps. The Hot Wings are HOT!!!!! The Cheese steak Egg Rolls are delicious. They make their own Mozzarella sticks and the prices are great too. They also have a BEER GARDEN with over 800 beers. Make sure to join their email list to find out about their cool events in the beer garden with Growler deals and visiting brew masters. If you mix and match a 6 pack you get a pint glass for free. I like to sample the different seasonal brews. So if you are in the area make sure to check them out. The decor is a little outdated but hey this spot has been here for over 50 years. They are doing something right. They also have other sandwiches and pasta dishes. Make sure to read the other tips on their yelp page. The all you can eat pizza deal is awesome.

Went here for dinner a couple weeks ago. This is a small, local restaurant. Typical pizza place but with a more expanded menu. We ate in. For an appetizer, we got the loaded fries, which come with cheese, bacon, and ranch on them. They were awesome. Then, I got the chicken cheesesteak, which I thought was above average. I don't drink beer but they are said to have an amazing beer selection. Our waitress, Genna, was amazing! She gave us great service and was very nice. I love the pizza at Pinocchio's! This is my go-to place for a fun night out with the kids. We order a pitcher of root beer for the little ones, while mom and dad get to order from the extensive beer menu. We order large fries and a jumbo pizza and if we're lucky we have leftovers for lunch the next day. This pizza reminds me of shore pizza---thin crust and so tasty. The people who work at Pinocchio's are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to beer. I love that they give out dough to keep the kiddies occupied. Also, a good menu item is the bread pudding (I love bread pudding). We ordered the soft pretzels before, but were disappointed and the complimentary bread sticks are pretty bland---could use a tangy sauce, or just skip them, because I'll be filling up on pie.

Ended up at Pinocchio's twice in one week the other week so it's time for a review. I always enjoy their food, and I normally am not a pizza person, but I like their pizza, and actually sometimes crave it, so hopefully that is a decent endorsement. I LOVE their milkshakes, which are normally PACKED with ice cream and are worth every penny, and are FAR better than any other takeout place nearby. Pinocchio's has a big menu and they do a lot very well. I had a cheeseburger and fries the other night. The burger was good quality meat and it was a good size. The shoestring fries were tasty and very crisp, but they gave me a tiny handful of them, and I was tempted to give them three stars for that but decided against it due to past history. I hope that lame little handful portion was a mistake because the combo was more than $2 more than similar combos at a lot of nearby places who give a lot more food that is just as good. I grew up in Media and every Media kid has her fair share of Pinocchio's experiences. Back in the 80's they had an ice cream place called Jimminy's where they now have the beer garden. The beer selection there now is wild and very cool. One very big plus is that they are open later than most places, especially their week night hours. I have many times ended up traveling to Pinocchio's late night for takeout since I know they're open, and reliably, they are open for business.

Finally getting a chance to praise the most unlikely elite craft beer location in Philadelphia. Pinocchio's is a family pizza establishment which has stood the test of time (60 years!) and is an indelible aspect of the culture and experience of Media, PA. That pizza is good, the Stromboli (and especially the meatball Stromboli) is great, and the fresh roasted turkey and cheesesteaks are outstanding (special nod to the best chicken cheesesteak in the area). That said, the reason this is a 5 star review is that the Beer Garden is a must visit location for any craft beer fan in the Philadelphia area. The draft list is large and expertly curated by a cicerone and other highly-knowledgeable staff. The community which has grown at this location is knowledgeable and welcoming, even in the tiny dimensions that the Beer Garden occupies. The family which runs the restaurant/beer garden are present all the time and put enormous effort into making it a quality experience for a highly diverse crowd (a party for 6 year-olds in the front, a bridal shower in the room upstairs, and a tasting of barrel-aged craft beers in the garden). An institution in Media with a deserved reputation for excellence.

This place is always great! It is always crowded but I've rarely had to wait more than a couple minutes for a table. The pizza here is good and I have yet to be disappointed. Last time I was here I got white pizza and an appetizer of loaded fries.There is also a beer garden which tons of beers to choose from!! There is even a large group room if you have a group you can call ahead and reserve it. I'd recommend calling a week or so in advance. Pinocchio's doesn't have the best pizza in the world but it is consistently good regardless of the toppings or style.

We live out of town and eat here about 3 times a year but have been coming in for a long time. Definitely the best beer selection in the region, with some superb choices. The food is average, with pizza good some of the time, and grinders OK. Steaks are good but not great. Eggplant parm is good as either a grinder or entree. Calzones and stromboli are also generally decent. Occasionally we'll get something a bit mediocre (pizza/grinder etc.). The service is generally very good--pleasant with a sense of humor and responsive. P' can be quite busy and a bit noisy when crowded, but generally its pretty subdued. Usually the wait is not too long--but their specialty pizzas take 20 minutes or more.

I have always been a fan of Pinocchio's pizza. It is some of the best tasting pizza, and you definitely need to try their onion rings! I unfortunately have no opinion on their other food options on the menu because all I have ever had was the pizza and/or appetizers. Met a large group here. I called ahead and we were accommodated nicely. The room was not as expected (they said "side room" and I thought it'd be private). Was really just a "back room" LOL. Our waitress was a little slow. Then again, we were really sporadic with timing of ordering food, drinks, etc. She was nice enough. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap thinking I was being healthy. THINK AGAIN. The wrap had a TON of cheese. It was fine. Most of the flavor came from the cheese. I think the menu should have a few more healthy options. If I just got the pizza, would've been probably the same amount of calories as the pizza. If I was reviewing just the food I'd give it 2 stars but I do understand this is more of a place to go to drink. I like the beer selection and the laid back atmosphere. I would think about going here again, but would first consider other options in media.

Not sure what the buzz is about this place. I have neighbors who swore to me this was the best pizza I ever tasted. I doubted it seriously as there is no good pizza south of North Jersey, but I tried it. Awful is all I can say... and more awful than the regularly awful Philly style pizza. The sauce was way too acidic. I think they tried to compesate with sugar, but it just tasted like sweetened sauce made from rotten tomatos. The topping look like reheated frozen nuggets of meat someone found in the back of a freezer that hadn't been cleaned out in over a year. We have done delivery and each time it seems to get worse. Our last deliver not only was the food boarderline ineatible, but the pizza was delivered with all the cheese piled into the corner due to the driver taking some turns a little too sharply or tilting the box on its side... Either way, that was the last we will order from them for sure. On the positive side... they did earn 1 star for being fast.

Pinocchio's is a tough place pin down for a review. On one hand the beer selection is pretty great. On the other hand the place seemed staffed by escaped convicts, just trying to carve out a life for themselves. The food provides nutrients, which is the best I can say on that front. The pizza is usually sub par and I've had two appetizers that were still partially frozen. On the plus side the food usually comes out quickly. There are so many tables packed into this place that half of media could be wiped out if there was a tragic accident. This creates a cramped, loud atmosphere. Keeping with the duality theme of this review, this place is great for kids. Basically I think its Inertia keeping this place around.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED : I really can't say enough good things about this place. The pizza is thin cut and big slice style. I've had several different kinds of pizzas here and never have been disappointed. The wait staff is typically friendly, attentive, and helpful. Their hours are probably one of the biggest positives. Friday and Saturday when you come home from a game or need a late night food fix, they usually are open until 12-1. In terms of the beer garden.. This place is excellent. Just randomly found it for lunch. Did not have the beers although they have a great selection of them, looks like I'll have to come back for those. The pretzels appetizer was soft and hot and delicious, and they have this killer horseradish mustard that comes with it we had to buy some to take home it was so excellent, the eggplant parm grinder was done just right lots of cheese and sauce but not too much. Okay ! We've ordered from this place almost every 2 weeks for the last 6 months. I have to say, the quality of Pizza has been OK at most, this place lacks consistency. Often the Pizza would come with one flaw or other. Last time we ordered the pizza , we got our pizza with all the cheese that has shifted to one corner , Obviously the delivery guy didn't handle the box correctly. We were too Hungry to complain but then we noticed the Greek olives were wet and they made half whole pizza doughy. Well like i mentioned we were too hungry ,so we fixed it by re-baking it in our oven. So i figured i would call them and let them know (i didn't want a refund or anything else) Just figured i'ed give my input. The lady who answered my call seemed like she had excuse for the issues i mentioned. She told me the olives are always wet. Ha I think not. 1 star for good Wings, would be 2 star if the celery sticks were at-least more then 4 small 1" ones. Anyway , gonna avoid this place.

Growing up as a kid we would go here for their all you can eat pizza nights. As an adult I get their chicken finger salads with the house dressing they make fresh everyday. Ok, so i've moved to Media. Which means my lazy ass now winds up here more and more often. However I don't return back to PinPizza just due to convenience: It is good, simple comfort food and never tries to be anything else. I've probably had a meal here at least 50 times in the past two years and I've never had a bad experience...it's always the same quality. I don't always order the same thing either: I have pizza, cheesesteaks, grilled chicken burgers- they are always done right. Sometimes on the online ordering (a dangerous road, proceed with caution) I ask for wacky shit, they never miss a beat. I just wish they delivered beer...is that even legal in PA? Overall an excellent and noteworthy staple of Media life and I hope to see these guys here for more years to come.

The beer selection at Pinocchio's is unparalleled. They have over 800 beers available and a constant rotation of new, unusual, and innovative beers on tap - we tried a blueberry blonde, a mango habanero beer, and a raspberry beer. I tend to order from Pinocchio's a lot when I'm staying at my bf's apartment in Media for the sole reason that it's pretty much the only place open after 9:30 on a weekend night in the whole town (with the exception of Iron Hill, which I think serves food until 11?). Their pizza is just not good. The crust is too thin and if you get any toppings on the pizza, it immediately falls apart from the weight of it. I've tried the everything, BBQ chicken, plain cheese, and margherita pizzas (beware this one has pizza sauce on it, not fresh tomatoes). None of them have ever given me reason to try them again. Which is kind of weird for a pizza place. Their cheesesteaks are decent, as are the wings and coconut shirmp, but for as large as their menu is, there are very few things that I would order again after trying them. I've heard the beer garden is cool and stocked with a large selection of beer, but for food, I wouldn't recommend coming here before 10 PM and sober.

Incredible beer selection. If you ever felt like a kid in a candy store, then you'll understand how I felt. They have a refrigerated wall that is stocked to the gills with craft beer. I thought the prices for the beer were very good considering the very expansive selection that they had. I ended up getting two gueuzes since I don't see them around much. I talked with the guy behind the counter who was very helpful and told me about all the gueuzes that they carried. If I lived in that neighborhood, I would be there all the time. Maybe I can convince some of my suburban friends to pick me up some goodies from here when they are headed into philly.

Wow, sometimes the most interesting journeys start in your own backyard. Pinnocchio's Restaurant was a great find going out to eat on a whim, and I'll be sure to go back and take advantage of the great food and in house beer selection. Atmosphere - There are three areas which you can walk in. The beer garden (On the side) has hundreds of craft beers you can purchase individiually in a make your own six pack. The take out area (first door), allows you to grab some quick food on the go if you call ahead to order. We actually dined in (second door), and were treated to a standard dining area with tile floors and wooden booths. The booth felt quite cozy, but was a bit distracted by the TV's in there. A little small if you're trying to watch while dining. No matter, wasn't much on TV anyway. Waitstaff - Our waitress was more of the 'experienced' variety. She was nice and friendly, but the food was brought out slow overall. I also tried to select three different beer choices, all of which were 'kicked' off of the draft. Was a little dissapointed in the speed of bringing things out, and had to leave to get my car from the meter before finishing our main dish. Food - WOW, what a meal. They brought out fresh cheese bread sticks right off the bat. Flaky, like something you would get at home, but for no charge, way better then white bread. My wife had Italian wedding soup, I had to try the Buffalo Chicken Soup. Both were delicious and as advertised, had great flavor. We also ordered a round of pretzel bread sticks, which were also great. Pretzels were fresh baked, and with brown mustard and beer cheddar sauce, yum. By far the highlight was the Chicken Parm pizza. OMG, one of the top five pies I've ever had anywhere (and how can you not like pizza)... perfect flaky and crunchy crust, think tomato sauce, plenty of cheese, with more sprinkled on top. I may go back this weekend to get a pie before the football game. Intangibles - A beer rep was there with a company giving out free samples, which was awesome. You know what was more awesome, our waitress who didn't have the beer's earlier, brought out a sample pumpkin for me to try as well. TWO FREE BEER SAMPLES, AYFKM! One downer about this place though is the parking situation... good luck is all I can say. Very small lot with next to no side street parking. Worth the walk on a crisp fall night, but when dreary weather hits, may want to go with someone who can circle the block if you're picking up an order. Overall - I will totally head back to Pinnochio's The food was fantastic, the beer selection was amazing, and the service, well, it can only get better. Worthwhile place for any type of diner, if you're coming from out of the area though, make sure to allow for some time to find parking.

Everything- service, atmosphere, cleanliness and quality of the food were abysmal. I think they do a brisk takeout business because of how depressing the dining area is. The large variety of cold beer to go will most likely keep them in business for many more years, but diners who return should demand an upgrade of the booths, friendlier service, a degreasing of all the surfaces and a few minutes spent wiping the bugs and dirt off the window sills. It was just really, really bad.

I am a fan of both their pizza and beer selection. This place is awesome to sample and taste different beers. The beer prices are a bit high, you can get better prices at Wegmens. But, its local and it is still better to sample here then sample by means of purchasing cases. The pizza is boardwalk style, tasty, and affordable. Do not order their pizza with spinach, broccoli, or tomato unless you like frozen spinach or broccoli and flavorless tomatoes. After that all other toppings I have had were good (mushrooms, peppers, onions, pepperoni...) You will not go wrong with their cheese steaks or fries. After that their food is the run of the mill, nothing worth commenting on. The place is affordable if you don't order the hooch.

I could never tell a lie while reviewing Pinocchio's! :-) This is an interesting place. First let's talk about the atmosphere. If you're old enough to remember the fifties you'll feel right at home. The place is in serious need of a facelift. On the other hand, some folks say they like it that way. There is a small bar with about six seats, but you're not coming here for the bar scene. Folks at the bar are waiting for takeout or enjoying some amazing and unusual drafts. More about the beer later. Now for the menu- This is your typical pizza place, pizza, hoagies, pasta, burgers, fries, etc., etc. Everything is decent but nothing really stands out. I know everyone has strong preferences regarding pizza. Here you will find it thin. Also they do a nice job of keeping pizzas with meat from being too greasy. Quite a few folks say the fried food is above average. I agree. The service is adequate. The wait staff is friendly for sure but sometimes it feels a little slow. It's especially noticeable when the restaurant is only partially full. Note to the owner; you need to work on this! Now for the beer. Oh the beer! This is beer heaven in Media. Ask for the draft list and you'll see about a dozen with nice informative descriptions. They change often and are really unusual. Ninety nine percent of folks will see beers they have never even heard of. If you don't believe me, forget the food on your first visit and try a draft at that tiny bar. Drop me a note here in Yelp. But wait, there's more! Pinocchio's has the Beer Garden. That's their name for their takeout selection. Hundreds and hundreds of choices. Easily the biggest selection in the Western burbs. After some consideration I'm going to go with three stars overall. If you're going just for the beer you'll probably give them a 10!

My overall thoughts of Pinocchio's is that their food is so-so. The prices are very decent, and it's a great place to go with your friends and/or and what not, but I don't care a whole lot about the food. The pizza tastes fairly dry, the wings are both small and taste like their overcooked, and their cheesesteaks really don't have a lot of cheese. That being said, I do have a soft spot for their fries!

Pinocchio's isn't glamorous and trendy. Parking can be an adventure. If you don't go early you'll have to wait in the parking lot. But if you like pizza and beer, this is your place. (Just try to sit in the front room - the side room is depressing) And don't forget to print a coupon from their website before you go. - We lost power last Friday evening and decided to go eat at Pinocchio's because we like their pizza and they have a great selection of beer! I'm not a beer connoisseur so I asked Sue, our server some questions about one and she promptly offered to bring me a sample. It wasn't what I was looking for so I asked about another and off she went for another sample. When she returned she had two samples, of which the one she chose on her own was the one I liked and ordered! I was almost buzzed from the three samples before my pint came... Anyway... Started with Chicken Cordon Blue Bites (which we love!) and sweet potato fries. The fries were a little soggy but OK and came with this awesomely sweet honey butter mixture for dipping. (I saved what was left and used it for my pizza crust). I almost ordered one of our family favorites the White Garlic Shrimp pizza but instead ordered the Five Cheese pizza (another family favorite) and a Chicken Ranch pizza. We REALLY liked this one - it had thick ranch sauce, chunks of chicken, bacon bits and diced tomatoes and was quickly added to our family favorite list! We love the crust here because it's light and tasty with a slight crunch - not greasy. (I guess it could be if you order pepperoni) - Pizza is one of those foods people will argue about as to what makes the best pizza: Thick or thin crust, deep dish, boardwalk, anchovies, whatever. To me, pizza is like a woman - it's great in almost any form!

This was my first time eating here. Great beer selection. We had a BBQ chicken and an extra cheese pizza. The BBQ sauce was great with a nice tang. Could have used a bit more cheese in the extra cheese pie. Overall it was a good meal, huge pies for a good price.

All you can eat pizza! Need I say more. The pizza is average but the beer garden is really one of a kind in the area, and quite reasonable. We have had large groups here before and they are always very accommodating. It's media so parking can be a pain but the dedicated lot does really help.

One of the most notable pizza places in the Del Co. area it has been there forever. As other reviews have said awesome beer selection and knowledgeable staff. We had the buffalo chicken as well as just a pepperoni pie. They were pretty good it seems like they put quite a bit of effort into where their toppings come from. Their pepperoni has a very rich and distinct taste. They are also great with kids, they have a good menu for them that has a broad range of choices. They give out crayons and pizza dough for the kids to play with. The place was full and didn't have one unhappy child.

back at pinocchio's again for the second time. my brother in law and i were craving their onion rings and curly fries (which by the way are super crispy and yummy). the decor seems outdated and it shows theyve been here for a while with their variations of pinocchio signs over the years. you definately get a homey family owned restaurant feel though which is nice. pinocchio wasnt lying when he said they have a lot of beer. they have a nice beer selection of 10-15 beers or so on tap and a beer garden with over 500 brews to choose from. :) our second visit is starting to become a disappointment. their service is a bit slow. it took 15 mins for our onion rings and hot wings to come out. usually this would be ok but considering the fact that's it almost 2pm and only 25% seating capacity, this is not acceptable. well our meatlovers pizza came out about the same time as our wings and onion rings. I wouldvr preferred If the appetizers came out sooner and pizza later so everythig wouldn't get cold at once. the meat lovers pizza was good being that it wasn't drenched with oil and grease. our onion rings were still crunchy 20 mins later which is def a plus in my books. overall, I would go back again just for the finger foods and pizza. it's a good hang out place with friends and/or for kids. I wouldve rated with 4 stars if it wasn't for the slow service initially.

Pinocchio's is your average, local pizza joint. Nothing fancy on the menu, but the pizza is always satisfying and made fresh in house. I gave Pinocchio's 5 stars because their beer garden. Definitely THE BEST place to find take out craft beers in the Media area. They stock over 850 bottles for take away and always have at least 20 beers on tap to enjoy in the beer garden or restaurant. If you're a beer lover and haven't been here yet, you're missing out!

Called this place for delivery, ordered the Italian stromboli. I told the lady I wanted the 12 inch one and she asked me what size that was.....um...isn't that your job to know the menu? she asked for every piece of information at least 3 times (phone number, what the order was, etc.) she clearly just wasn't paying attention at all. We went to pick it up and the woman who checked us out was having a non-work related conversation with a co worker the whole time while she was helping us. We get out food home, open it up and its a cheese stromboli with tons or sauce on it. This is a problem because I am lactose intolerant and allergic to tomatoes. (the Italian does not have sauce and we had ordered it without cheese.) We didn't even bother taking it back because we had no confidence that it would come out correctly the second time around so we pitched it. We'll be going to Apollo's from now on. I've always liked their food better anyway. The beer garden is nice. I love being able to get singles without having to drive to total wine in Delaware.

The pizza is pretty dang good, but my review is more on what is attached to the restaurant........Pinocchio's Beer Garden! So many brands and styles of beers, ya practically drool as you walk through the door! I believe if I recall correctly there is 350 brands of beer! My favorite is the Sea Dog Blueberry Beer from Baltimore,ME so far, but there are so many to go through! I would totally give a 5 star for food and beer selection, but the one downside is parking...booohissss it suckssssss. :(

I've been meaning to write a review of this place for a while. Now, to be fair, my reviews I write on Yelp need to be taken with a few grains of salt for the following reasons: 1. I'm a craft beer whore 2. I'm one of those annoying vegan types (ugh, I know, I hate myself, too) 3. Again, I really, really like beer. So with that out of the way, let me tell you what I think about Pinocchio's Pizza. **Food- I remember going here a lot when I was little, but only recently did I return with my boyfriend one to grab some pizza. I brought my own vegan cheese (I'M SO OBNOXIOUS YES YOU CAN HATE ME) because I'm difficult, and was very excited for some pizza in my mouth. I usually am very embarrassed bringing my own cheese, even after like 7 and a half years of being a dumb vegan. But the waitress said it wouldn't be a problem to coat my pizza with this dairy mockery jawns to appease me. Holla at that! Oh, an a little hint for all of you pizza topping snobs: Pinocchio's has the right kind of olives for a pizza- ACTUAL GREEK OLIVES. Not that anemic, black, canned crap. I mean, you can get that if you want; it's on the toppings menu. The catch is, you need to ask for the Greek olives; they're offered as a side with the hummus plate (which I surprisingly didn't order the last time I was there, so I can't tell you how that was. **Service- not overtly chatty, but friendly and efficient enough. I think we went on a Friday or Saturday night and the boyf and I each ordered our own pizzas; I didn't find us waiting too long for our pizzas. **Beer- Sweet baby Jesus and all other holy figures. If you like, love, or are casually obsessed with excellent beer, stop wasting your time and get your booty over to this place. Not only is the selection incredible, all of the workers ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I have walked in and said, "Give me your favourite hoppy thing," or "Give me something like this beer...." and they have always suggested something wonderful. I have never left the Beer Garden dissatisfied. Not that any of us law abiding PA residents ever take beer over state lines, but if I did, I now have no reason to buy beer in Delaware. All of the beer here is fresh and you can ask whatever questions you want and not feel intimidated. Oh, and did I mention that they have about a billion awesome beers on tap that you can either enjoy with your pizza OR BRING HOME IN A GROWLER?! **Cons: You're still buying beer in PA, so only 2 take out six packs at a time, but my liver is pretty ok with that. And the parking lot there sucks. But there's street parking on Baltimore Pike (for the brave), on Gayley Street (for the less brave but still parallel parking able), and there is a lot on Gayley and State Streets (for those of us who still, after a half a decade or more of driving, cannot parallel park a compact car). The lot is metered, but is free after 5 (for sure) and I THINK on weekends, but don't go sending me your parking tickets if I'm wrong.

I don't understand this place. Right about the same time they got a beer garden put in next door, with a fantastic selection of (overpriced) beer and a knowledgable staff who always let you try before you buy, their pizza quality started going downhill. We used to consistently get good pizza here, now we consistently get mediocre pizza, and sometimes the pizza is just bad. Lately, I've been going to Pinocchio's for beer, and going elsewhere for pizza. Maybe that's what they wanted. UPDATE (3/10/13): The pizza has been much better lately. I'm a fan again.

Wow, I am shocked that Pinocchio's got such scathing reviews. I am sorry that some of you folks have had crummy service and cold food. I will admit that sometimes the service is less than perfect, but generally I can't complain. And how can you give a bad review to a place who's marquee says "Possibly the best cheesesteaks around". The one thing that I can complain about is the parking lot, which holds about 10 cars and you have to back out of the lot because it is too small to turn around in. But that's all part of the charm. The atmosphere is kind of like a 50's diner with wood paneled booths and complete with wood carved pictures depicting the story of Pinocchio. There is plenty of seating in the main dining area, where the bar is located, and there is additional seating in the rear of the restaurant (this is my least favorite section to sit in). I always order the onion rings, they are the best around. The fries are pretty good too. The pizza is delicious, a thinner crust and the sauce is just right. I also enjoy the white pizza and the Greek Goddess. I still have yet to have the Sicilian pie. The desserts are standard diner fare, nothing to write home about. Now, let me tell you about the Beer Garden. They have a ridiculous amount of mix and match take out beer (800 choices, if memory serves me correct) and it's all situated in a fairly small space. They sell everything from growlers to beer from all over the world. The staff is pretty helpful too. Do not skip the Beer Garden when you visit Pinocchios.

As a resident of Media for the last few years, you'd be crazy to not make Pinocchio's a regular spot. The pizza is spot on, and it's one of the few places in the area that deliver throughout Media. The take-out staff is probably some of the busiest, yet friendliest, you'll find in their position. There are some glaring issues that could be made to improve the restaurant even better. The in-house seating is terribly cramped. I'm a tall gentleman, and I can't fit in any of the booths. Parking is a nightmare in the small lot. My service experience, when sitting at the bar during lunch, was less than extraordinary. I felt invisible to the staff, since I wasn't a lunch regular. That said, the take out and delivery staff has always been friendly and helpful with getting my food on time (or early), and with great results. The one complaint I'd have is with the delivery. It's not free (2.50 charge), and while the delivery is usually fast, the pizza has been coming in more frequently as lukewarm or undercooked. It's gotten to the point where we either pick up from Pinocchio's, or we don't order at all. Still, for some great tasting pizza and steaks, you can't go wrong with picking up from Pinocchio's. If you're a beer aficionado, don't miss the beer garden next door for an amazing selection of beers. I'm not a beer drinker, but the selection makes me wish I was.

It shames all of the competition around here. They are on point with their delivery times, price is great, and they have an awesome beer selection. I was a pizza delivery girl for Pinocchio's in high school, so it will always have a special place in my heart. The pizza is nothing special, but it makes great late night food-- when everything else in the area has closed, Pinocchio's stays open until 1:30am, and that is awesome. They also have take-out beer. Okay, I'll be totally honest. It's basically not great sober, but it's the best place in the world after a long night of drinking. Plus, they've been in business for over 50 years... This place has been in Media FOREVER, but only recently has it gone and made something special out of itself. Forget the food, the food is crap, but it's that lovable diner quality crap that you like to eat with a beer. And BEER is what I'm here to talk about. They have installed a beer garden with over 700 craft beers from all over the world. European, Asian, Domestic, Craft, Coors and more. It's Amazing with a capital A. What's more the price per bottle isn't going to break the bank. This has become my new favorite hangout, sitting at the tiny bar, watching a baseball game and swilling grade A beer goodness. You can go to the beer garden, pick out your bottles and then tell the waitress who will bring it to you at the bar/tables. Prices are low low low. If your hungry and have to order food, they have a lot of it, just don't be surprised that it's essentially junk food. Lots of stuff is frozen but I've found a few acceptable gems on the menu. Onion Rings - hand dipped, crunchy and big Zorba Steak Grinder - steak with onions, green peppers, provolone and special sauce. Cheese cake - only eat this frozen cake with coffee stout

I would totally give this 5 stars but growing up in NJ - nothing beats boardwalk pizza! Having moved from NJ 4 years ago, I am still appalled that PA controls the liquor stores here.... Who doesn't love beer with thier pizza? Well, Pinnochio's sealed Media as my "home away from NJ will always be my home". The pizza is great dine in or takeout. They have an unbelievable selection of take out beer including microbrews as far as the eye can see - or the refrigerator can hold. Being a fan of Woodchuck, I was more than ecstatic to find it available here for take out with my yummy Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. My mom grew up in DelCo and had been going here since she was a little girl - If I had to land anywhere in PA, I'm glad I came to Media where Pinnochio's is still thriving.

Pizza - 4 stars Service - 3 stars Delco pizza is generally terrible, but Pinocchios's definitely gets it right. The crust is thin, the sauce isn't too sweet, just the right amount of cheese. My only complaint is that most of the specialty pizza's come with red sauce on them, but its not listed in the toppings- it would be nice if it were, because the red sauce detracts a bit from some of the toppings on the specialty pizzas. The beer selection is great, probably the best in the area. The service was a bit lack luster. There were two servers on, we seemed to have the slower of the two. The other server was on top of things and really helpful, but ours was just ok. It's a pizza shop, I'm not expecting the server to crumb my table or anything, but it would be nice if she had checked in after dropping the food off. No one likes to be left thirsty, and wishing they has more oregano, etc. That being said, it was altogether a positive experience. And the pizza and beer selection are tops.

Pinocchio's is good! It's a pizza place with eat in- if you like the pizza/hoagies/bar food in this area- you know exactly what to expect. Something that makes this place a little more unique is their beer selection and beer garden. I wasn't able to participate in either but I'm looking forward to the day that I'm done making a baby. The waitstaff is great in Pin's. I was with my mom, sister and twin infant niece/nephew and they were super nice and accommodating.

I was strangely craving buffalo chicken pizza and wings yesterday. I was told that Pinnochio's is the best place in my area to satisfy this urge to eat and get fat. WARNING: The wings are ON FIRE. If you can't deal with hot, ask for mild. It WILL numb your taste buds for the rest of the meal. (Ask my boyfriend who could not finish his share of the pizza afterwards.) The pizza is thin-crust. Although I usually hate thin-crust pizza, the thin-crust was not SOOO thin that I minded. Furthermore, I was impressed by the place's ability to balance the proportion between chicken, pizza, and buffalo sauce. Some prior bad experiences with buffalo chicken pizza taught me that badly done buffalo chicken pizza = sauce dripping all over the place. There was no such mess - the sauce stayed where it should always stay - on the pizza. Although there is a dining area that is usually sparsely populated by a few young diners, the service is non-existent. What do the servers do if there so few patrons? Where do they go? I have no idea - it was impossible to get a server's attention until they come to your table with the bill.

I grew up in town and going to pinocchio's brings back a lot of great memories. Now, I tend to go there with my meager wages clutched in my hand when i know I'm craving massive amounts of pizza and soda for one price. Yeah, the slices are touch and go, but you know another one is on the way. It's all you can eat...what do you expect?? The staff is really kind and attentive and the beers are cheap and cold. They also have a pretty good cheesesteak.

Really Quick: Food: Very good pizza and typical pizza restaurant items (wings, calzones, anything fried, etc.) Their pizza is sometimes undercooked, though. Lots and lots of beer options. Bottles can get expensive, but they often have decent specials/features on draft (or even bottles from "featured" breweries). Service varies from very good to extremely poor, with some servers giving the impression they're doing you a favor every time they choose to stop at your table. Parking is atrocious but if you're willing park a bit away and walk, it's not a big deal.

I've been going here since I was a little wooden boy and it's always been fun. It's very modest, inexpensive, and Im always happy with the food. I've had just about everything on the menu now I suppose. Lasagna, chicken parm, manicotti, burgers, cheese steaks, milkshakes, and of course their pizza is very tasty. The beer selection is no joke too. They have expanded a bit and there's a whole take out section now that really has a huge selection of craft brews. I'm not really into beer but it's something to see. I feel like they are really competing with some of the top places in all of Philadelphia. Check it out. Pretty low prices on pretty good stuff.

As a DELCO native I have to stand behind Pinocchio's. For one, they deliver to my house. Secondly, I have been buying beer from their take out beer store since I was 21. AND NOW they have an AMAZING import and craft beer selection STORE that is totally reasonably priced in Delaware County. It's like a mirage with pizza that doesn't suck. The food is delicious for a local pizza place and anyone with outlandish expectations should just go guzzle some 10.5 abv's and shuttup. The pizza and chickensteaks are superb.

Just had their cheese pizza. I LOVE pizza and consider myself an expert after all the pizza I've tried - from Thailand, to Philly, to Korea, to LA, to NY, my hometown. Pinocchio's is pretty good. I didn't expect much, but it was pretty tasty. They open late (till 1am for pick up on a thurs) and you can pick up beers while you're there too! They also have all you can eat pizza and soda or pasta and salad for $6.34. Haven't tried the ayce yet, but def gonna try it. Their cheesesteak hoagie wasn't one of the top ones i've ever had, but it wasn't too bad. Pretty meaty tho.I was drunk when I had pinocchio's the 1st time and thought it was really really good. Just had it sober and realized it was just ok. Haha.

The only reason this place has ok reviews is because of the beer. I go there every now and again. They are open late and one of the only places open and serving food after work. I have never gotten food there I really enjoyed. Everything is soaked with grease. The service in the restaurant is not good. The waitresses are not attentive. You sit with empty drinks and have to get someone's attention for service. I have sat at the bar and watch my food sit under a heat light right in front of me for 15 minutes before it was given to me. Tonight I got take out and the story was no better. We went to go pick up the food and when we got home 2 of the three things we ordered there was an issue with. First we were missing moz sticks that we ordered. 2nd they gave us the wrong salad. It was all put into the computer paid for and on our receipt but the only thing that we got from our order that was correct or even there was a wrap. How do you only get one of three things correct!!?!?!? On our return to the restaurant we received our cold moz sticks and new salad. When we were to return home there was no dressing with the salad. We went again back to bring this to their attention. The gentleman at the counter did not apologize but tried to make excuses and tried to make it sounds like we were wrong. The two girls there were apologetic and retrieved the dressing. At that point I should have just given all the food back and gotten a refund. When we got back home to eat our meal it was not good. The chicken on my salad was colder then the lettuce and tasted like it was just taken out of the fridge. Nothing about the food or experience was appealing and I will never be eating here again!!!!! The only thing this place has going for them is their beer selection and is the only reason they got at least 1 star. Awful stay away!

This is a tough one. I ate so much Pinnochio's growing up, that my bones probably have traces of Pinnochio's pizza in them; in other words, it's hard for me to see this place objectively. Sentimentally, I love it and visit every time I'm back in the Philadelphia area. My personal attachment aside, I still think this place is pretty good. Delivery/carry-out seems to have a consistently high quality, whereas some of the eat-in food I've had can be inconsistent. But seriously, they have an all-you-can-eat pizza deal that's something like $6 for endless soda and pizza, which could only be bad if the pizza were horrendous, which it's not. I WISH there were a place like Pinnochio's near where I live now in Boston. The equivalent places are so much worse (and more expensive), residents of Media, consider yourselves lucky.

I ate at this establishment with my companion. She ordered a turkey sandwich with mayo and I ordered a mushroom cheesesteak grinder. Also ordered a small pizza mostly to go. I ordered a draft Oktoberfest beer while she ordered a Diet Coke with lemon. There were breadsticks brought out, however they were completely cold, without dipping sauce and virtually inedible- FAIL 1. The soda was brought out without lemon that was requested-FAIL 2. Turkey sandwich was brought out without mayo that was requested-FAIL 3. She noticed a live, crawling, small bug on the plate-BIG FAIL-4. Waitress who did not have a very helpful disposition was nowhere to be found. Therefore we sought another waitress who took the plate away and stated they will make another sandwich-my companion declined the offer. Then the inattentive waitress finally came to the table, asked if everything was OK. We explained to her there was a bug found on the plate, she said nothing, no apology, and walked away. Then she disappeared without an apology-FAIL 5. Then she came back after at least 5 minutes with new breadsticks that were hot but terrible and without any dipping sauce-FAIL 6. When she returned she asked if everything was ok- we said we wanted to see the manager. She then turned around talked to the manager for a minute or two, then nothing happened for at least another 5 minutes. The manager finally came to our table and was unfazed about his establishment having a live bug on a dinner plate (he said it was a little lettuce bug). We told him we never knew of such a bug and NEVER experienced a bug in or around our food. The manager then defended his establishment about passing 100% Department of Health tests, etc. I also explained that the waitress failed about the other things that were requested and was completely unapologetic. He was frustrated and then stated the tab was on the house. We accepted the offer. Finally to top off this disappointing experience, the clueless waitress came by and asked us where the tab was. I explained to her that the tab was taken care of by the manager. She look puzzled and walked away in amazement. A fun indeed for all!

Five stars for the beer selection alone. Definitely the best you'll find in Delco, in the garden and on tap. The staff is also very knowledgeable and they have pretty decent prices, including weekend deals on pints. The food is also pretty tasty. Your basic pizza joint fair that's a step above most but nowhere near the best. Even so, go there, order a glass of something great, get some broccoli bites or onion rings, a slice or maybe a canoe or stromboli and you won't be disappointed. They also have occasional live music which can be fun.

I enjoy going here when we just want something fast and easy. They are good, not great, but the menu is big and has something for everyone. I enjoy that they have a bar and a bazilion beers to choose from. I also like that they make a lot of things, such as their delicious pasta sauce, from scratch. For this genre, it is pretty good. Very family friendly. Great place for bringing the kids after a game. Most parents will find something that they will find acceptable. And they have beer!

I miss you Pinocchio's! It's cheesy, gooey, and floppy, but the pizza tastes GOOD. Do you deliver to California? The pizza is thin (but not crispy thin) and sometimes you have to slurp to eat your slice (from the floppiness and gooiness). There aren't too many pieces of pizza that I've had to slurp. But that's a good thing 'cause it makes it more fun! Sure, the orange, plasticky booths and wooden tables could probably use a make-over, but the setting works for them. With little kiddies at this family restaurant, that set up is way more practical than anything else could be.

We were first timers (five of us).. finding Pinocchio's on Google due to their Beer Garden. Spent the day in Philly (from Baltimore) and decided to stop here for dinner on the way home. Great choice! Buffalo chicken pizza and pepperoni pizza were big hits with us and the kids, warm and tasty breadsticks served prior to the meal. Our waitress, Sue, was awesome - very attentive and extremely friendly! LOTS of beer on tap! I went with the Oskar Blues Momma's Little Yella Pils and glad I did. Sue also brought me a sample of Van Diest Früli Strawberry Beer which was very yummy! But much more a dessert beer. Very fruity. They don't make their own desserts, but they were good nonetheless - Hershey's chocolate pie, lemon meringue pie and milkshakes. After our great meal, we wandered next door to the beer garden to create our own 6-packs to take back home. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and will recommend new beers based on your current likes. I walked away with some English and Irish brews and ciders, all very reasonably priced. This establishment is a small neighborhood place, off the beaten path of the highway, but well worth the trip!

I'm new to the area and saw their sign advertising new fall beer samplers while passing through town. The waitress seemed confused when I asked for the sampler. Apparently they just give (free) tastes of whatever you want to try. I was quite surprised by their decent locally brewed beer selection. They have some creative pizzas on their menu but nothing too extraordinary. Their menu seemed extensive, but I decided on the garlic shrimp pizza. It was good but not exceptional. The shrimp, ham, and tomatoes were of mediocre quality. The crust was good, but the oil from the toppings and cheese mostly ruined the crispiness. Service was adequate, but I imagine it would have been better if I hadn't gone during a Phillies game!

I love this place..been going there my entire life pretty much. It used to be the place to go for little league with the whole team, then in high school I would always go with my team for whaich ever sport I was playing that was in season. Once I was in college whenever I was home we would end up here after the bars for some much needed food. This past November we came here after our 10 year Penncrest reunion and it was crazy flash backs sitting in the booths with friends from high school 10 years later. I go out to my parents often for dinner and many times grab a pizza from here. Cheese steaks are really good and I actually really like the pizza. Good beer selection as well.

Pinocchio's is a staple in Media. With a large menu, long hours and a full bar, it is difficult not to find something to satisfy. It is the place that you know is always there, always open...almost like being home. The Greek salad with their house dressing is the best...though just an order of raw onions and feta cheese with the house dressing is worth dreaming about. Thursday night is Fiesta night featuring $2.00 margaritas and a special menu of Mexican inspired foods. They try...and often it works. The pizza is average, but they make a lot of it so something must be working.

It's so tough to review pizza. Everyone has a style, crust that they prefer. It's just not fair. Pinocchio's should be reviewed for everything else they have to offer and how well they make their style of pizza. Thin crust, good sauce and decent cheese sums it up. Their specialty pies are very good too. My favorite is the Buffalo chicken. I usually don't get anything for my main course but pizza, but the couple times I did order a steak or hoagie, it was decent. Apps are pretty standard, however the onion rings are huge and battered nicely. The wings (the HOT ones) are ridiculously good. They leave your lips tingling. My kids love it here (they get a ball of dough to mess around with until food comes.) There's always a good selection of soups of the day. Their chili is decent. And what makes this a 4-star spot for me is the BEER. Delaware County has a severe shortage of places to sit down and have a good pie and drink some decent beer. Pinocchio's usually has some sort of Bud/Bud Lite or other mass produced style on special during a Phils' game. I'll partake of that every now and then. But the real stars here are the craft beers that are rotated through the taps and the myriad of bottles you can select from the beer garden. It's a perfect marriage, beer and pizza. Prices are right where they should be. Parking is tough, especially Fri. and Sat. nights, but it isn't a deal breaker. For me personally, service has been good about 9 times out of 10. And that one time, it wasn't terrible, just not as good as others. Very few repeat eateries in Delco, but Pinocchio's is definitely one of them.

Okay, so their beer selection is phenomenal even if a bit overpriced. But their food is hit or miss. Their buffalo chicken pizza is like the best in Media and their italian Stromboli is delicious, but as for their italian subs - you're better off going to Primo Hoagies across the street, and well, as for their bbq chicken pizza, holy crap, can I have some chicken and cheese with my bbq sauce? I've never had a pizza so drowned in bbq sauce - disgusting. Overall, if you're looking for good beer and a simple pizza order, this is the place to go in Media, but for the love of God, don't order their bbq chicken pizza lest you be drowned in bbq sauce.

We find this as our perfect spot for dinner with the kids when in the mood (which is often), for pizza. Pinocchio's is celebrating 60 years in business and definitely still possesses that vintage feel. Once inside you will find a small bar counter that seats approximately 15, a good amount of larger size booths as well as some tables mixed in. There is also a large window that allows visibility into the pizza shop. This feature serves as a great attraction for the kids, especially if there should be a wait (i.e. Friday nights). We love their pizza, wings and cheese fries. My wife will sometimes audible out and go for the chicken finger salad. All are great and also relatively inexpensive. The kids are also provided with dough balls to play with while waiting for dinner. Who isn't up for the challenge to try to construct the perfect snowman out of pizza dough. P's also has beer garden with an applethera of offerings both in bottle and on draught. An issue I find with many restaurants that offer a wide selection of crafts beers is that they usually do a poor job of communicating to their patrons their expansive offerings including descriptions as well as updating once rotations have been made. P's on the other hand, recently added flat screen monitors that display up to the minute availability of their brews w brief description. We love this place. The food and service are always on par here. P's has something for everyone!

This place is an absolute joke. My BF and I have been wanting to stop by for a while now and boy are we sorry we finally did. If your not familiar with the restaurant, you walk in past the bar and stand and wait... And wait... For someone to seat you. After finally being seated we waited and waited again for our server (I believe her name was Colleen?) to come over. She gave us the old "whaddya want??" Told her our food and drink order and off she went. Little did we know the theme of this meal would be WAITING AND WAITING. Beers arrived (beer selection is the only upside to this place) then a bit later came the two pizzas we ordered.. A veggie and a tomato pie, which were good. Nothing to write home about. I had also saw other tables getting breadsticks which I assumed were complimentary and asked for an order because we were never offered them. After delivering our food, our server processed to go out to the front of the restaurant and have a leisurely smoke with a friend. We were sitting near the window so could see her out there for 10 minutes or so. We sat with empty beer glasses hoping someone would take notice and offer to get us another beverage since our server seemed to have better things to do. At this point I'm getting pretty fed up and wondering where a manager is.. Not one person of any authority seemed to be present. After watching our server come in from her smoke break, not even wash her hands, and start working again I was ready to go. We waited another 20 minutes. Finally a bus boy came over to clear our plates and I asked him to ask for a box and the check. Paid our bill and got the heck out of there. We will NEVER return and if anyone ever asks about Pinocchio's I'll certainly tell them of our experience. I don't know how they've held it together for 60 years.... Maybe many leisurely and unsanitary smoke breaks.

They are coming up on their 60th anniversary have a week of specials plan for everyone. On Tuesday May 12th many their prices are going to go back to 60 cents. On Wednesday may 13th its back to the fifties celebration with a DJ from Wmmr are here. On Thursday May 14th is my favorite called give back Thursday. They will donate 15 percent of your bill to one of four media charities. Friday is a family night special for $20 not sure what it is but it sounds interesting. Saturday May 15 is Family fun day they celebrate 60 years with free slices of pizza, live music and tons of fun for everyone 12 to 5. They have revamp the menu and the food is definitely gotten better its worth another try.

If I didn't have good experiences here before this would be one star. I'll break this into two parts one part pizza place and the other part beer garden. The beer garden was great when it first opened but I feel after the last 9-10 months they have had the same selection. Every time I'm there. I find myself looking for something different but it's always the same. God forbid you go in there during a peak hour, there is no room and the people hoarding around the counter by the cash register won't give you the space you need to look in the cooler behind them. The restaurant used to have a decent pizza. I remember in college going here on Wednesdays for all you can eat pizza but I don't know what happened between then and now. Me and some friends were hungry so we headed here tonight me and another friend wanted to split a plain upside down pizza. I kid you not they must have cooked the bread and cheese in the oven then dumped sauce on it after. When it was brought to the table the lake of sauce was steaming but was not hot or bubbling which gave me the impression it was added after. Please look at my picture and you will see this massive abundance of sauce just pouring off the pizza after removing a slice. It was a mess. I would have expected this type of pizza from a teenager mad at home. This is sad.

A local institution that has totally lost whatever former excellence it may have once had. Ordered a jumbo with pepperoni and sausage. The crust was dry and completely without flavor. The sauce and cheese were sparse and the sausage was some sort of generic pseudo-meat that didn't even taste like sausage! The pepperoni was fine. This is my ultimate favorite pizza place ever! I have wonderful family memories of going here with my grandmom and the whole family. They have the best pizza ever and very yummy cheese fries. Stopped in for dinner...pizza. We were somewhat disappointed. After a 30+ minute wait we were seated in a stale back room I have never even noticed before. Did not seem like air conditioning was working. Nothing worse than trying to eat when hot and/or uncomfortable. That aside, we ordered margaritas which we sent back and got wine instead. The were so sweet they were not drinkable. The waitress was very professional, made no fuss, and brought us a nice glass of wine. Went on to order chips and guac which was tasty. Then ordered a vegetarian pizza. It was just OK, not the pizza experience I remember from here, just not too good. In the past, we have always gotten great pizzas here. The vibe seemed overcrowded/cramped and very hectic, not relaxing. I think the quality is starting to suffer. Avoid the crazy, cramped dinner crowd on Thurs, Fri and sat night-yikes, unless you want to wait a long time or sit at the bar (or the beer garden out back?). Not sure if the buzzers for tables work out there. Still seems like great place to take the kids (pizza dough, kids menu), but for the current prices the food should be just as good as it used to be :(. Waitress was good and professional, as mentioned, but the night we went it was not worth the wait.

This was very good. We came here because we were shopping in the area. It is a typical looking pizza shop but the beer list is extensive and the food was great. My wife had a calzone which she said was great. She ate the entire 12". And I had a meatball call one which was also really good. If u are looking for a relaxed atmosphere this is definitely a good spot. Was not too loud and was also not too stuffy which is important for us because we have a new born. I would recommend this place for anyone interested in really good calzones, pizzas, Strombolis and Greek salads. Oh also they give the kids dough to play with and the kids loooooove it!!!!

Delicious pizza - the hand tossed veggie was not at all greasy with a perfectly crunchy chewy crust. Our server was a ray of sunshine and the Christmas spirit was overflowing. What an awesome place! My friend raved about this place and I see why. As soon as you walk in there are refrigerators with many beers from all over the world! The guys up front in the beer garden were helpful and answered questions on particular beers. My buddies and I ventured in the dining area for a bite. The waitress there was very sweet and took care of us promptly. Our food came out in 10 minutes and it was delicious. I had the roast turkey sandwich and it was so juicy. Great beer, great food and great service equals an awesome place!

This is a review mostly for the beer section and not for the attached restaurant. Such is the crazy current PA laws so this review will focus on the retail beer outlet. Inside it's pretty small but offers a solid selection. The isle is quite small, and you would think from outside the place would be larger but it isn't it's a tad cramped, Numerous recent brews that are distributed plus a few occasional PA surprises that might be as common for the East Coast. Deschutes, Port Brewing and Lost Abbey, Alesmith, Jester King, the odd Russian River. THere is great service here though, with very cordial staff who will help you out with any questions, but without being pushy. Rural PAs provides some reasonable prices, and nothing here is outrageous. However, there are only a few odd selections that peaked my interest. I probably wouldn't make my way out here on a long trip, but if I was in the area without question I would stop by to take a look for some tasty brews. Growlers are available as well.

What's not to like about Pinocchio's They have good pizza, great appetizers and awesome Beers on tap! 25 Rotating beers to be exact. If you can not find something to eat here then I do not know what to tell you. Usually I go for the pizza and a couple of apps. The Hot Wings are HOT!!!!! The Cheese steak Egg Rolls are delicious. They make their own Mozzarella sticks and the prices are great too. They also have a BEER GARDEN with over 800 beers. Make sure to join their email list to find out about their cool events in the beer garden with Growler deals and visiting brew masters. If you mix and match a 6 pack you get a pint glass for free. I like to sample the different seasonal brews. So if you are in the area make sure to check them out. The decor is a little outdated but hey this spot has been here for over 50 years. They are doing something right. They also have other sandwiches and pasta dishes. Make sure to read the other tips on their yelp page. The all you can eat pizza deal is awesome.

Went here for dinner a couple weeks ago. This is a small, local restaurant. Typical pizza place but with a more expanded menu. We ate in. For an appetizer, we got the loaded fries, which come with cheese, bacon, and ranch on them. They were awesome. Then, I got the chicken cheesesteak, which I thought was above average. I don't drink beer but they are said to have an amazing beer selection. Our waitress, Genna, was amazing! She gave us great service and was very nice. I would definitely come back to Pinnochios if in the area.

Beer selection was fine. Nothing mind-blowing. 95% of the beer is sold cold, so be prepared to refrigerate immediately after. I was less than impressed with the staff. I get that you're all 25 year old bros, but you shouldn't be talking about particularly heinous sex acts in front of your customers, regardless of their age or appearance.

I love the pizza at Pinocchio's! This is my go-to place for a fun night out with the kids. We order a pitcher of root beer for the little ones, while mom and dad get to order from the extensive beer menu. We order large fries and a jumbo pizza and if we're lucky we have leftovers for lunch the next day. This pizza reminds me of shore pizza---thin crust and so tasty. The people who work at Pinocchio's are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to beer. I love that they give out dough to keep the kiddies occupied. Also, a good menu item is the bread pudding (I love bread pudding). We ordered the soft pretzels before, but were disappointed and the complimentary bread sticks are pretty bland---could use a tangy sauce, or just skip them, because I'll be filling up on pie.

Ended up at Pinocchio's twice in one week the other week so it's time for a review. I always enjoy their food, and I normally am not a pizza person, but I like their pizza, and actually sometimes crave it, so hopefully that is a decent endorsement. I LOVE their milkshakes, which are normally PACKED with ice cream and are worth every penny, and are FAR better than any other takeout place nearby. Pinocchio's has a big menu and they do a lot very well. I had a cheeseburger and fries the other night. The burger was good quality meat and it was a good size. The shoestring fries were tasty and very crisp, but they gave me a tiny handful of them, and I was tempted to give them three stars for that but decided against it due to past history. I hope that lame little handful portion was a mistake because the combo was more than $2 more than similar combos at a lot of nearby places who give a lot more food that is just as good. I grew up in Media and every Media kid has her fair share of Pinocchio's experiences. Back in the 80's they had an ice cream place called Jimminy's where they now have the beer garden. The beer selection there now is wild and very cool. One very big plus is that they are open later than most places, especially their week night hours. I have many times ended up traveling to Pinocchio's late night for takeout since I know they're open, and reliably, they are open for business.

Finally getting a chance to praise the most unlikely elite craft beer location in Philadelphia. Pinocchio's is a family pizza establishment which has stood the test of time (60 years!) and is an indelible aspect of the culture and experience of Media, PA. That pizza is good, the Stromboli (and especially the meatball Stromboli) is great, and the fresh roasted turkey and cheesesteaks are outstanding (special nod to the best chicken cheesesteak in the area). That said, the reason this is a 5 star review is that the Beer Garden is a must visit location for any craft beer fan in the Philadelphia area. The draft list is large and expertly curated by a cicerone and other highly-knowledgeable staff. The community which has grown at this location is knowledgeable and welcoming, even in the tiny dimensions that the Beer Garden occupies. The family which runs the restaurant/beer garden are present all the time and put enormous effort into making it a quality experience for a highly diverse crowd (a party for 6 year-olds in the front, a bridal shower in the room upstairs, and a tasting of barrel-aged craft beers in the garden). An institution in Media with a deserved reputation for excellence.

This place is always great! It is always crowded but I've rarely had to wait more than a couple minutes for a table. The pizza here is good and I have yet to be disappointed. Last time I was here I got white pizza and an appetizer of loaded fries.There is also a beer garden which tons of beers to choose from!! There is even a large group room if you have a group you can call ahead and reserve it. I'd recommend calling a week or so in advance. Pinocchio's doesn't have the best pizza in the world but it is consistently good regardless of the toppings or style.

We live out of town and eat here about 3 times a year but have been coming in for a long time. Definitely the best beer selection in the region, with some superb choices. The food is average, with pizza good some of the time, and grinders OK. Steaks are good but not great. Eggplant parm is good as either a grinder or entree. Calzones and stromboli are also generally decent. Occasionally we'll get something a bit mediocre (pizza/grinder etc.). The service is generally very good--pleasant with a sense of humor and responsive. P' can be quite busy and a bit noisy when crowded, but generally its pretty subdued. Usually the wait is not too long--but their specialty pizzas take 20 minutes or more.

The beer selection is superb; they have over 800 beers to choose from and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The chef was trained in Italy, so the pizza is also really good. Parking can be issue, fyi. And there is almost no seating on the beer garden side.

I have always been a fan of Pinocchio's pizza. It is some of the best tasting pizza, and you definitely need to try their onion rings! I unfortunately have no opinion on their other food options on the menu because all I have ever had was the pizza and/or appetizers. If you plan on dining there on a Friday or Saturday night be prepared to wait because they are very popular, and even some weekdays. Of course there is always take-out, and a bonus they have a Beer Garden. For good old fashioned cheese pizza, Pinocchio's is a good choice!

To be honest, I've only ever had pizza there but they have the BEST thin crust pizza around. I love their Margarite pizza as well as their everything pizza also. If you eat in, it does get really busy on Friday nights, but it's a great place for kids, good and loud lol. I don't drink but I hear they have a superb beer garden also.

Met a large group here. I called ahead and we were accommodated nicely. The room was not as expected (they said "side room" and I thought it'd be private). Was really just a "back room" LOL. Our waitress was a little slow. Then again, we were really sporadic with timing of ordering food, drinks, etc. She was nice enough. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap thinking I was being healthy. THINK AGAIN. The wrap had a TON of cheese. It was fine. Most of the flavor came from the cheese. I think the menu should have a few more healthy options. If I just got the pizza, would've been probably the same amount of calories as the pizza. If I was reviewing just the food I'd give it 2 stars but I do understand this is more of a place to go to drink. I like the beer selection and the laid back atmosphere. I would think about going here again, but would first consider other options in media.

Not sure what the buzz is about this place. I have neighbors who swore to me this was the best pizza I ever tasted. I doubted it seriously as there is no good pizza south of North Jersey, but I tried it. Awful is all I can say... and more awful than the regularly awful Philly style pizza. The sauce was way too acidic. I think they tried to compesate with sugar, but it just tasted like sweetened sauce made from rotten tomatos. The topping look like reheated frozen nuggets of meat someone found in the back of a freezer that hadn't been cleaned out in over a year. We have done delivery and each time it seems to get worse. Our last deliver not only was the food boarderline ineatible, but the pizza was delivered with all the cheese piled into the corner due to the driver taking some turns a little too sharply or tilting the box on its side... Either way, that was the last we will order from them for sure. On the positive side... they did earn 1 star for being fast.

Pinocchio's is a tough place pin down for a review. On one hand the beer selection is pretty great. On the other hand the place seemed staffed by escaped convicts, just trying to carve out a life for themselves. The food provides nutrients, which is the best I can say on that front. The pizza is usually sub par and I've had two appetizers that were still partially frozen. On the plus side the food usually comes out quickly. There are so many tables packed into this place that half of media could be wiped out if there was a tragic accident. This creates a cramped, loud atmosphere. Keeping with the duality theme of this review, this place is great for kids. Basically I think its Inertia keeping this place around.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED : I really can't say enough good things about this place. The pizza is thin cut and big slice style. I've had several different kinds of pizzas here and never have been disappointed. The wait staff is typically friendly, attentive, and helpful. Their hours are probably one of the biggest positives. Friday and Saturday when you come home from a game or need a late night food fix, they usually are open until 12-1. In terms of the beer garden.. I'm not much for going somewhere for simply beer so another review may she more light there. In terms of how late they are open, the amount of options they have, and the quality of the food... This place is excellent. Just randomly found it for lunch. Did not have the beers although they have a great selection of them, looks like I'll have to come back for those. The pretzels appetizer was soft and hot and delicious, and they have this killer horseradish mustard that comes with it we had to buy some to take home it was so excellent, the eggplant parm grinder was done just right lots of cheese and sauce but not too much. And the eggplant was nice and thick. Will have to come back here again when we're in the area. And the waitress was super friendly too. A good find!

Okay ! We've ordered from this place almost every 2 weeks for the last 6 months. I have to say, the quality of Pizza has been OK at most, this place lacks consistency. Often the Pizza would come with one flaw or other. Last time we ordered the pizza , we got our pizza with all the cheese that has shifted to one corner , Obviously the delivery guy didn't handle the box correctly. We were too Hungry to complain but then we noticed the Greek olives were wet and they made half whole pizza doughy. Well like i mentioned we were too hungry ,so we fixed it by re-baking it in our oven. So i figured i would call them and let them know (i didn't want a refund or anything else) Just figured i'ed give my input. The lady who answered my call seemed like she had excuse for the issues i mentioned. She told me the olives are always wet. Ha I think not. 1 star for good Wings, would be 2 star if the celery sticks were at-least more then 4 small 1" ones. Anyway , gonna avoid this place.

Growing up as a kid we would go here for their all you can eat pizza nights. As an adult I get their chicken finger salads with the house dressing they make fresh everyday. Their pizza is still as good as I remember and now as adult I've branched out and started eating everything else! Try the chicken fingers, you won't be disappointed!

Ok, so i've moved to Media. Which means my lazy ass now winds up here more and more often. However I don't return back to PinPizza just due to convenience: It is good, simple comfort food and never tries to be anything else. I've probably had a meal here at least 50 times in the past two years and I've never had a bad experience...it's always the same quality. I don't always order the same thing either: I have pizza, cheesesteaks, grilled chicken burgers- they are always done right. Sometimes on the online ordering (a dangerous road, proceed with caution) I ask for wacky shit, they never miss a beat. I just wish they delivered beer...is that even legal in PA? Overall an excellent and noteworthy staple of Media life and I hope to see these guys here for more years to come.

The beer selection at Pinocchio's is unparalleled. They have over 800 beers available and a constant rotation of new, unusual, and innovative beers on tap - we tried a blueberry blonde, a mango habanero beer, and a raspberry beer. The pizza is also your best bet. We had a summer garden vegetable pizza that was delicious. The steak fries and boneless wings were average. Definitely stick to the pizza here. Excited to go back.

I tend to order from Pinocchio's a lot when I'm staying at my bf's apartment in Media for the sole reason that it's pretty much the only place open after 9:30 on a weekend night in the whole town (with the exception of Iron Hill, which I think serves food until 11?). Their pizza is just not good. The crust is too thin and if you get any toppings on the pizza, it immediately falls apart from the weight of it. I've tried the everything, BBQ chicken, plain cheese, and margherita pizzas (beware this one has pizza sauce on it, not fresh tomatoes). None of them have ever given me reason to try them again. Which is kind of weird for a pizza place. Their cheesesteaks are decent, as are the wings and coconut shirmp, but for as large as their menu is, there are very few things that I would order again after trying them. I've heard the beer garden is cool and stocked with a large selection of beer, but for food, I wouldn't recommend coming here before 10 PM and sober.

Incredible beer selection. If you ever felt like a kid in a candy store, then you'll understand how I felt. They have a refrigerated wall that is stocked to the gills with craft beer. I thought the prices for the beer were very good considering the very expansive selection that they had. I ended up getting two gueuzes since I don't see them around much. I talked with the guy behind the counter who was very helpful and told me about all the gueuzes that they carried. If I lived in that neighborhood, I would be there all the time. Maybe I can convince some of my suburban friends to pick me up some goodies from here when they are headed into philly.

Wow, sometimes the most interesting journeys start in your own backyard. Pinnocchio's Restaurant was a great find going out to eat on a whim, and I'll be sure to go back and take advantage of the great food and in house beer selection. Atmosphere - There are three areas which you can walk in. The beer garden (On the side) has hundreds of craft beers you can purchase individiually in a make your own six pack. The take out area (first door), allows you to grab some quick food on the go if you call ahead to order. We actually dined in (second door), and were treated to a standard dining area with tile floors and wooden booths. The booth felt quite cozy, but was a bit distracted by the TV's in there. A little small if you're trying to watch while dining. No matter, wasn't much on TV anyway. Waitstaff - Our waitress was more of the 'experienced' variety. She was nice and friendly, but the food was brought out slow overall. I also tried to select three different beer choices, all of which were 'kicked' off of the draft. Was a little dissapointed in the speed of bringing things out, and had to leave to get my car from the meter before finishing our main dish. Food - WOW, what a meal. They brought out fresh cheese bread sticks right off the bat. Flaky, like something you would get at home, but for no charge, way better then white bread. My wife had Italian wedding soup, I had to try the Buffalo Chicken Soup. Both were delicious and as advertised, had great flavor. We also ordered a round of pretzel bread sticks, which were also great. Pretzels were fresh baked, and with brown mustard and beer cheddar sauce, yum. By far the highlight was the Chicken Parm pizza. OMG, one of the top five pies I've ever had anywhere (and how can you not like pizza)... perfect flaky and crunchy crust, think tomato sauce, plenty of cheese, with more sprinkled on top. I may go back this weekend to get a pie before the football game. Intangibles - A beer rep was there with a company giving out free samples, which was awesome. You know what was more awesome, our waitress who didn't have the beer's earlier, brought out a sample pumpkin for me to try as well. TWO FREE BEER SAMPLES, AYFKM! One downer about this place though is the parking situation... good luck is all I can say. Very small lot with next to no side street parking. Worth the walk on a crisp fall night, but when dreary weather hits, may want to go with someone who can circle the block if you're picking up an order. Overall - I will totally head back to Pinnochio's The food was fantastic, the beer selection was amazing, and the service, well, it can only get better. Worthwhile place for any type of diner, if you're coming from out of the area though, make sure to allow for some time to find parking.

Everything- service, atmosphere, cleanliness and quality of the food were abysmal. I think they do a brisk takeout business because of how depressing the dining area is. The large variety of cold beer to go will most likely keep them in business for many more years, but diners who return should demand an upgrade of the booths, friendlier service, a degreasing of all the surfaces and a few minutes spent wiping the bugs and dirt off the window sills. It was just really, really bad.

I am a fan of both their pizza and beer selection. This place is awesome to sample and taste different beers. The beer prices are a bit high, you can get better prices at Wegmens. But, its local and it is still better to sample here then sample by means of purchasing cases. The pizza is boardwalk style, tasty, and affordable. Do not order their pizza with spinach, broccoli, or tomato unless you like frozen spinach or broccoli and flavorless tomatoes. After that all other toppings I have had were good (mushrooms, peppers, onions, pepperoni...) You will not go wrong with their cheese steaks or fries. After that their food is the run of the mill, nothing worth commenting on. The place is affordable if you don't order the hooch.

I could never tell a lie while reviewing Pinocchio's! :-) This is an interesting place. First let's talk about the atmosphere. If you're old enough to remember the fifties you'll feel right at home. The place is in serious need of a facelift. On the other hand, some folks say they like it that way. There is a small bar with about six seats, but you're not coming here for the bar scene. Folks at the bar are waiting for takeout or enjoying some amazing and unusual drafts. More about the beer later. Now for the menu- This is your typical pizza place, pizza, hoagies, pasta, burgers, fries, etc., etc. Everything is decent but nothing really stands out. I know everyone has strong preferences regarding pizza. Here you will find it thin. Also they do a nice job of keeping pizzas with meat from being too greasy. Quite a few folks say the fried food is above average. I agree. The service is adequate. The wait staff is friendly for sure but sometimes it feels a little slow. It's especially noticeable when the restaurant is only partially full. Note to the owner; you need to work on this! Now for the beer. Oh the beer! This is beer heaven in Media. Ask for the draft list and you'll see about a dozen with nice informative descriptions. They change often and are really unusual. Ninety nine percent of folks will see beers they have never even heard of. If you don't believe me, forget the food on your first visit and try a draft at that tiny bar. Drop me a note here in Yelp. But wait, there's more! Pinocchio's has the Beer Garden. That's their name for their takeout selection. Hundreds and hundreds of choices. Easily the biggest selection in the Western burbs. After some consideration I'm going to go with three stars overall. If you're going just for the beer you'll probably give them a 10!

My overall thoughts of Pinocchio's is that their food is so-so. The prices are very decent, and it's a great place to go with your friends and/or and what not, but I don't care a whole lot about the food. The pizza tastes fairly dry, the wings are both small and taste like their overcooked, and their cheesesteaks really don't have a lot of cheese. That being said, I do have a soft spot for their fries!

Pinocchio's isn't glamorous and trendy. Parking can be an adventure. If you don't go early you'll have to wait in the parking lot. But if you like pizza and beer, this is your place. (Just try to sit in the front room - the side room is depressing) And don't forget to print a coupon from their website before you go. - We lost power last Friday evening and decided to go eat at Pinocchio's because we like their pizza and they have a great selection of beer! I'm not a beer connoisseur so I asked Sue, our server some questions about one and she promptly offered to bring me a sample. It wasn't what I was looking for so I asked about another and off she went for another sample. When she returned she had two samples, of which the one she chose on her own was the one I liked and ordered! I was almost buzzed from the three samples before my pint came... Anyway... Started with Chicken Cordon Blue Bites (which we love!) and sweet potato fries. The fries were a little soggy but OK and came with this awesomely sweet honey butter mixture for dipping. (I saved what was left and used it for my pizza crust). I almost ordered one of our family favorites the White Garlic Shrimp pizza but instead ordered the Five Cheese pizza (another family favorite) and a Chicken Ranch pizza. We REALLY liked this one - it had thick ranch sauce, chunks of chicken, bacon bits and diced tomatoes and was quickly added to our family favorite list! We love the crust here because it's light and tasty with a slight crunch - not greasy. (I guess it could be if you order pepperoni) - Pizza is one of those foods people will argue about as to what makes the best pizza: Thick or thin crust, deep dish, boardwalk, anchovies, whatever. To me, pizza is like a woman - it's great in almost any form!

This was my first time eating here. Great beer selection. We had a BBQ chicken and an extra cheese pizza. The BBQ sauce was great with a nice tang. Could have used a bit more cheese in the extra cheese pie. Overall it was a good meal, huge pies for a good price.

All you can eat pizza! Need I say more. The pizza is average but the beer garden is really one of a kind in the area, and quite reasonable. We have had large groups here before and they are always very accommodating. It's media so parking can be a pain but the dedicated lot does really help.

One of the most notable pizza places in the Del Co. area it has been there forever. As other reviews have said awesome beer selection and knowledgeable staff. We had the buffalo chicken as well as just a pepperoni pie. They were pretty good it seems like they put quite a bit of effort into where their toppings come from. Their pepperoni has a very rich and distinct taste. They are also great with kids, they have a good menu for them that has a broad range of choices. They give out crayons and pizza dough for the kids to play with. The place was full and didn't have one unhappy child.

back at pinocchio's again for the second time. my brother in law and i were craving their onion rings and curly fries (which by the way are super crispy and yummy). the decor seems outdated and it shows theyve been here for a while with their variations of pinocchio signs over the years. you definately get a homey family owned restaurant feel though which is nice. pinocchio wasnt lying when he said they have a lot of beer. they have a nice beer selection of 10-15 beers or so on tap and a beer garden with over 500 brews to choose from. :) our second visit is starting to become a disappointment. their service is a bit slow. it took 15 mins for our onion rings and hot wings to come out. usually this would be ok but considering the fact that's it almost 2pm and only 25% seating capacity, this is not acceptable. well our meatlovers pizza came out about the same time as our wings and onion rings. I wouldvr preferred If the appetizers came out sooner and pizza later so everythig wouldn't get cold at once. the meat lovers pizza was good being that it wasn't drenched with oil and grease. our onion rings were still crunchy 20 mins later which is def a plus in my books. overall, I would go back again just for the finger foods and pizza. it's a good hang out place with friends and/or for kids. I wouldve rated with 4 stars if it wasn't for the slow service initially.

Definitely THE BEST place to find take out craft beers in the Media area. They stock over 850 bottles for take away and always have at least 20 beers on tap to enjoy in the beer garden or restaurant. If you're a beer lover and haven't been here yet, you're missing out!

Called this place for delivery, ordered the Italian stromboli. I told the lady I wanted the 12 inch one and she asked me what size that was.....um...isn't that your job to know the menu? she asked for every piece of information at least 3 times (phone number, what the order was, etc.) she clearly just wasn't paying attention at all. We went to pick it up and the woman who checked us out was having a non-work related conversation with a co worker the whole time while she was helping us. We get out food home, open it up and its a cheese stromboli with tons or sauce on it. This is a problem because I am lactose intolerant and allergic to tomatoes. (the Italian does not have sauce and we had ordered it without cheese.) We didn't even bother taking it back because we had no confidence that it would come out correctly the second time around so we pitched it. We'll be going to Apollo's from now on. I've always liked their food better anyway. The beer garden is nice. I love being able to get singles without having to drive to total wine in Delaware.

The pizza is pretty dang good, but my review is more on what is attached to the restaurant........Pinocchio's Beer Garden! So many brands and styles of beers, ya practically drool as you walk through the door! I believe if I recall correctly there is 350 brands of beer! My favorite is the Sea Dog Blueberry Beer from Baltimore,ME so far, but there are so many to go through! I would totally give a 5 star for food and beer selection, but the one downside is parking...booohissss it suckssssss. :(

I've been meaning to write a review of this place for a while. Now, to be fair, my reviews I write on Yelp need to be taken with a few grains of salt for the following reasons: 1. I'm a craft beer whore 2. I'm one of those annoying vegan types (ugh, I know, I hate myself, too) 3. Again, I really, really like beer. So with that out of the way, let me tell you what I think about Pinocchio's Pizza. **Food- I remember going here a lot when I was little, but only recently did I return with my boyfriend one to grab some pizza. I brought my own vegan cheese (I'M SO OBNOXIOUS YES YOU CAN HATE ME) because I'm difficult, and was very excited for some pizza in my mouth. I usually am very embarrassed bringing my own cheese, even after like 7 and a half years of being a dumb vegan. But the waitress said it wouldn't be a problem to coat my pizza with this dairy mockery jawns to appease me. Holla at that! Oh, an a little hint for all of you pizza topping snobs: Pinocchio's has the right kind of olives for a pizza- ACTUAL GREEK OLIVES. Not that anemic, black, canned crap. I mean, you can get that if you want; it's on the toppings menu. The catch is, you need to ask for the Greek olives; they're offered as a side with the hummus plate (which I surprisingly didn't order the last time I was there, so I can't tell you how that was. **Service- not overtly chatty, but friendly and efficient enough. I think we went on a Friday or Saturday night and the boyf and I each ordered our own pizzas; I didn't find us waiting too long for our pizzas. **Beer- Sweet baby Jesus and all other holy figures. If you like, love, or are casually obsessed with excellent beer, stop wasting your time and get your booty over to this place. Not only is the selection incredible, all of the workers ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I have walked in and said, "Give me your favourite hoppy thing," or "Give me something like this beer...." and they have always suggested something wonderful. I have never left the Beer Garden dissatisfied. Not that any of us law abiding PA residents ever take beer over state lines, but if I did, I now have no reason to buy beer in Delaware. All of the beer here is fresh and you can ask whatever questions you want and not feel intimidated. Oh, and did I mention that they have about a billion awesome beers on tap that you can either enjoy with your pizza OR BRING HOME IN A GROWLER?! **Cons: You're still buying beer in PA, so only 2 take out six packs at a time, but my liver is pretty ok with that. And the parking lot there sucks. But there's street parking on Baltimore Pike (for the brave), on Gayley Street (for the less brave but still parallel parking able), and there is a lot on Gayley and State Streets (for those of us who still, after a half a decade or more of driving, cannot parallel park a compact car). The lot is metered, but is free after 5 (for sure) and I THINK on weekends, but don't go sending me your parking tickets if I'm wrong.

I don't understand this place. Right about the same time they got a beer garden put in next door, with a fantastic selection of (overpriced) beer and a knowledgable staff who always let you try before you buy, their pizza quality started going downhill. We used to consistently get good pizza here, now we consistently get mediocre pizza, and sometimes the pizza is just bad. Lately, I've been going to Pinocchio's for beer, and going elsewhere for pizza. Maybe that's what they wanted. UPDATE (3/10/13): The pizza has been much better lately. I'm a fan again.

Wow, I am shocked that Pinocchio's got such scathing reviews. I am sorry that some of you folks have had crummy service and cold food. I will admit that sometimes the service is less than perfect, but generally I can't complain. And how can you give a bad review to a place who's marquee says "Possibly the best cheesesteaks around". The one thing that I can complain about is the parking lot, which holds about 10 cars and you have to back out of the lot because it is too small to turn around in. But that's all part of the charm. The atmosphere is kind of like a 50's diner with wood paneled booths and complete with wood carved pictures depicting the story of Pinocchio. There is plenty of seating in the main dining area, where the bar is located, and there is additional seating in the rear of the restaurant (this is my least favorite section to sit in). I always order the onion rings, they are the best around. The fries are pretty good too. The pizza is delicious, a thinner crust and the sauce is just right. I also enjoy the white pizza and the Greek Goddess. I still have yet to have the Sicilian pie. The desserts are standard diner fare, nothing to write home about. Now, let me tell you about the Beer Garden. They have a ridiculous amount of mix and match take out beer (800 choices, if memory serves me correct) and it's all situated in a fairly small space. They sell everything from growlers to beer from all over the world. The staff is pretty helpful too. Do not skip the Beer Garden when you visit Pinocchios.

As a resident of Media for the last few years, you'd be crazy to not make Pinocchio's a regular spot. The pizza is spot on, and it's one of the few places in the area that deliver throughout Media. The take-out staff is probably some of the busiest, yet friendliest, you'll find in their position. There are some glaring issues that could be made to improve the restaurant even better. The in-house seating is terribly cramped. I'm a tall gentleman, and I can't fit in any of the booths. Parking is a nightmare in the small lot. My service experience, when sitting at the bar during lunch, was less than extraordinary. I felt invisible to the staff, since I wasn't a lunch regular. That said, the take out and delivery staff has always been friendly and helpful with getting my food on time (or early), and with great results. The one complaint I'd have is with the delivery. It's not free (2.50 charge), and while the delivery is usually fast, the pizza has been coming in more frequently as lukewarm or undercooked. It's gotten to the point where we either pick up from Pinocchio's, or we don't order at all. Still, for some great tasting pizza and steaks, you can't go wrong with picking up from Pinocchio's. If you're a beer aficionado, don't miss the beer garden next door for an amazing selection of beers. I'm not a beer drinker, but the selection makes me wish I was.

Excellent pizza place. Great staff, and truly incredible sicilian pies. Calzones are also very good, as are appetizers samplers. Parking isnt ideal so we normally order and have them deliver. It shames all of the competition around here. They are on point with their delivery times, price is great, and they have an awesome beer selection. I was a pizza delivery girl for Pinocchio's in high school, so it will always have a special place in my heart. The pizza is nothing special, but it makes great late night food-- when everything else in the area has closed, Pinocchio's stays open until 1:30am, and that is awesome. They also have take-out beer. Okay, I'll be totally honest. It's basically not great sober, but it's the best place in the world after a long night of drinking. Plus, they've been in business for over 50 years... They must be doing something right!

This place has been in Media FOREVER, but only recently has it gone and made something special out of itself. Forget the food, the food is crap, but it's that lovable diner quality crap that you like to eat with a beer. And BEER is what I'm here to talk about. They have installed a beer garden with over 700 craft beers from all over the world. European, Asian, Domestic, Craft, Coors and more. It's Amazing with a capital A. What's more the price per bottle isn't going to break the bank. This has become my new favorite hangout, sitting at the tiny bar, watching a baseball game and swilling grade A beer goodness. You can go to the beer garden, pick out your bottles and then tell the waitress who will bring it to you at the bar/tables. Prices are low low low. If your hungry and have to order food, they have a lot of it, just don't be surprised that it's essentially junk food. Lots of stuff is frozen but I've found a few acceptable gems on the menu. Onion Rings - hand dipped, crunchy and big Zorba Steak Grinder - steak with onions, green peppers, provolone and special sauce. Cheese cake - only eat this frozen cake with coffee stout

I would totally give this 5 stars but growing up in NJ - nothing beats boardwalk pizza! Having moved from NJ 4 years ago, I am still appalled that PA controls the liquor stores here.... Who doesn't love beer with thier pizza? Well, Pinnochio's sealed Media as my "home away from NJ will always be my home". The pizza is great dine in or takeout. They have an unbelievable selection of take out beer including microbrews as far as the eye can see - or the refrigerator can hold. Being a fan of Woodchuck, I was more than ecstatic to find it available here for take out with my yummy Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. My mom grew up in DelCo and had been going here since she was a little girl - If I had to land anywhere in PA, I'm glad I came to Media where Pinnochio's is still thriving.

Pizza - 4 stars Service - 3 stars Delco pizza is generally terrible, but Pinocchios's definitely gets it right. The crust is thin, the sauce isn't too sweet, just the right amount of cheese. My only complaint is that most of the specialty pizza's come with red sauce on them, but its not listed in the toppings- it would be nice if it were, because the red sauce detracts a bit from some of the toppings on the specialty pizzas. The beer selection is great, probably the best in the area. The service was a bit lack luster. There were two servers on, we seemed to have the slower of the two. The other server was on top of things and really helpful, but ours was just ok. It's a pizza shop, I'm not expecting the server to crumb my table or anything, but it would be nice if she had checked in after dropping the food off. No one likes to be left thirsty, and wishing they has more oregano, etc. That being said, it was altogether a positive experience. And the pizza and beer selection are tops.

Pinocchio's is good! It's a pizza place with eat in- if you like the pizza/hoagies/bar food in this area- you know exactly what to expect. Something that makes this place a little more unique is their beer selection and beer garden. I wasn't able to participate in either but I'm looking forward to the day that I'm done making a baby. The waitstaff is great in Pin's. I was with my mom, sister and twin infant niece/nephew and they were super nice and accommodating.

I was strangely craving buffalo chicken pizza and wings yesterday. I was told that Pinnochio's is the best place in my area to satisfy this urge to eat and get fat. WARNING: The wings are ON FIRE. If you can't deal with hot, ask for mild. It WILL numb your taste buds for the rest of the meal. (Ask my boyfriend who could not finish his share of the pizza afterwards.) The pizza is thin-crust. Although I usually hate thin-crust pizza, the thin-crust was not SOOO thin that I minded. Furthermore, I was impressed by the place's ability to balance the proportion between chicken, pizza, and buffalo sauce. Some prior bad experiences with buffalo chicken pizza taught me that badly done buffalo chicken pizza = sauce dripping all over the place. There was no such mess - the sauce stayed where it should always stay - on the pizza. Although there is a dining area that is usually sparsely populated by a few young diners, the service is non-existent. What do the servers do if there so few patrons? Where do they go? I have no idea - it was impossible to get a server's attention until they come to your table with the bill.

I grew up in town and going to pinocchio's brings back a lot of great memories. Now, I tend to go there with my meager wages clutched in my hand when i know I'm craving massive amounts of pizza and soda for one price. Yeah, the slices are touch and go, but you know another one is on the way. It's all you can eat...what do you expect?? The staff is really kind and attentive and the beers are cheap and cold. They also have a pretty good cheesesteak.

Really Quick: Food: Very good pizza and typical pizza restaurant items (wings, calzones, anything fried, etc.) Their pizza is sometimes undercooked, though. Lots and lots of beer options. Bottles can get expensive, but they often have decent specials/features on draft (or even bottles from "featured" breweries). Service varies from very good to extremely poor, with some servers giving the impression they're doing you a favor every time they choose to stop at your table. Parking is atrocious but if you're willing park a bit away and walk, it's not a big deal.

I've been going here since I was a little wooden boy and it's always been fun. It's very modest, inexpensive, and Im always happy with the food. I've had just about everything on the menu now I suppose. Lasagna, chicken parm, manicotti, burgers, cheese steaks, milkshakes, and of course their pizza is very tasty. The beer selection is no joke too. They have expanded a bit and there's a whole take out section now that really has a huge selection of craft brews. I'm not really into beer but it's something to see. I feel like they are really competing with some of the top places in all of Philadelphia. Check it out. Pretty low prices on pretty good stuff.

As a DELCO native I have to stand behind Pinocchio's. For one, they deliver to my house. Secondly, I have been buying beer from their take out beer store since I was 21. AND NOW they have an AMAZING import and craft beer selection STORE that is totally reasonably priced in Delaware County. It's like a mirage with pizza that doesn't suck. The food is delicious for a local pizza place and anyone with outlandish expectations should just go guzzle some 10.5 abv's and shuttup. The pizza and chickensteaks are superb.

Just had their cheese pizza. I LOVE pizza and consider myself an expert after all the pizza I've tried - from Thailand, to Philly, to Korea, to LA, to NY, my hometown. Pinocchio's is pretty good. I didn't expect much, but it was pretty tasty. They open late (till 1am for pick up on a thurs) and you can pick up beers while you're there too! They also have all you can eat pizza and soda or pasta and salad for $6.34. Haven't tried the ayce yet, but def gonna try it. Their cheesesteak hoagie wasn't one of the top ones i've ever had, but it wasn't too bad. Pretty meaty tho.I was drunk when I had pinocchio's the 1st time and thought it was really really good. Just had it sober and realized it was just ok. Haha.

The only reason this place has ok reviews is because of the beer. I go there every now and again. They are open late and one of the only places open and serving food after work. I have never gotten food there I really enjoyed. Everything is soaked with grease. The service in the restaurant is not good. The waitresses are not attentive. You sit with empty drinks and have to get someone's attention for service. I have sat at the bar and watch my food sit under a heat light right in front of me for 15 minutes before it was given to me. Tonight I got take out and the story was no better. We went to go pick up the food and when we got home 2 of the three things we ordered there was an issue with. First we were missing moz sticks that we ordered. 2nd they gave us the wrong salad. It was all put into the computer paid for and on our receipt but the only thing that we got from our order that was correct or even there was a wrap. How do you only get one of three things correct!!?!?!? On our return to the restaurant we received our cold moz sticks and new salad. When we were to return home there was no dressing with the salad. We went again back to bring this to their attention. The gentleman at the counter did not apologize but tried to make excuses and tried to make it sounds like we were wrong. The two girls there were apologetic and retrieved the dressing. At that point I should have just given all the food back and gotten a refund. When we got back home to eat our meal it was not good. The chicken on my salad was colder then the lettuce and tasted like it was just taken out of the fridge. Nothing about the food or experience was appealing and I will never be eating here again!!!!! The only thing this place has going for them is their beer selection and is the only reason they got at least 1 star. Awful stay away!

This is a tough one. I ate so much Pinnochio's growing up, that my bones probably have traces of Pinnochio's pizza in them; in other words, it's hard for me to see this place objectively. Sentimentally, I love it and visit every time I'm back in the Philadelphia area. My personal attachment aside, I still think this place is pretty good. Delivery/carry-out seems to have a consistently high quality, whereas some of the eat-in food I've had can be inconsistent. But seriously, they have an all-you-can-eat pizza deal that's something like $6 for endless soda and pizza, which could only be bad if the pizza were horrendous, which it's not. I WISH there were a place like Pinnochio's near where I live now in Boston. The equivalent places are so much worse (and more expensive), residents of Media, consider yourselves lucky.

I ate at this establishment with my companion. She ordered a turkey sandwich with mayo and I ordered a mushroom cheesesteak grinder. Also ordered a small pizza mostly to go. I ordered a draft Oktoberfest beer while she ordered a Diet Coke with lemon. There were breadsticks brought out, however they were completely cold, without dipping sauce and virtually inedible- FAIL 1. The soda was brought out without lemon that was requested-FAIL 2. Turkey sandwich was brought out without mayo that was requested-FAIL 3. She noticed a live, crawling, small bug on the plate-BIG FAIL-4. Waitress who did not have a very helpful disposition was nowhere to be found. Therefore we sought another waitress who took the plate away and stated they will make another sandwich-my companion declined the offer. Then the inattentive waitress finally came to the table, asked if everything was OK. We explained to her there was a bug found on the plate, she said nothing, no apology, and walked away. Then she disappeared without an apology-FAIL 5. Then she came back after at least 5 minutes with new breadsticks that were hot but terrible and without any dipping sauce-FAIL 6. When she returned she asked if everything was ok- we said we wanted to see the manager. She then turned around talked to the manager for a minute or two, then nothing happened for at least another 5 minutes. The manager finally came to our table and was unfazed about his establishment having a live bug on a dinner plate (he said it was a little lettuce bug). We told him we never knew of such a bug and NEVER experienced a bug in or around our food. The manager then defended his establishment about passing 100% Department of Health tests, etc. I also explained that the waitress failed about the other things that were requested and was completely unapologetic. He was frustrated and then stated the tab was on the house. We accepted the offer. Finally to top off this disappointing experience, the clueless waitress came by and asked us where the tab was. I explained to her that the tab was taken care of by the manager. She look puzzled and walked away in amazement. A fun indeed for all!

Five stars for the beer selection alone. Definitely the best you'll find in Delco, in the garden and on tap. The staff is also very knowledgeable and they have pretty decent prices, including weekend deals on pints. The food is also pretty tasty. Your basic pizza joint fair that's a step above most but nowhere near the best. Even so, go there, order a glass of something great, get some broccoli bites or onion rings, a slice or maybe a canoe or stromboli and you won't be disappointed. They also have occasional live music which can be fun.

For this genre, it is pretty good. Very family friendly. Great place for bringing the kids after a game. Most parents will find something that they will find acceptable. And they have beer!

I miss you Pinocchio's! It's cheesy, gooey, and floppy, but the pizza tastes GOOD. Do you deliver to California? The pizza is thin (but not crispy thin) and sometimes you have to slurp to eat your slice (from the floppiness and gooiness). There aren't too many pieces of pizza that I've had to slurp. But that's a good thing 'cause it makes it more fun! Sure, the orange, plasticky booths and wooden tables could probably use a make-over, but the setting works for them. With little kiddies at this family restaurant, that set up is way more practical than anything else could be.

We were first timers (five of us).. finding Pinocchio's on Google due to their Beer Garden. Spent the day in Philly (from Baltimore) and decided to stop here for dinner on the way home. Great choice! Buffalo chicken pizza and pepperoni pizza were big hits with us and the kids, warm and tasty breadsticks served prior to the meal. Our waitress, Sue, was awesome - very attentive and extremely friendly! LOTS of beer on tap! I went with the Oskar Blues Momma's Little Yella Pils and glad I did. Sue also brought me a sample of Van Diest Früli Strawberry Beer which was very yummy! But much more a dessert beer. Very fruity. They don't make their own desserts, but they were good nonetheless - Hershey's chocolate pie, lemon meringue pie and milkshakes. After our great meal, we wandered next door to the beer garden to create our own 6-packs to take back home. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and will recommend new beers based on your current likes. I walked away with some English and Irish brews and ciders, all very reasonably priced. This establishment is a small neighborhood place, off the beaten path of the highway, but well worth the trip!

I'm new to the area and saw their sign advertising new fall beer samplers while passing through town. The waitress seemed confused when I asked for the sampler. Apparently they just give (free) tastes of whatever you want to try. I was quite surprised by their decent locally brewed beer selection. They have some creative pizzas on their menu but nothing too extraordinary. Their menu seemed extensive, but I decided on the garlic shrimp pizza. It was good but not exceptional. The shrimp, ham, and tomatoes were of mediocre quality. The crust was good, but the oil from the toppings and cheese mostly ruined the crispiness. Service was adequate, but I imagine it would have been better if I hadn't gone during a Phillies game!

I love this place..been going there my entire life pretty much. It used to be the place to go for little league with the whole team, then in high school I would always go with my team for whaich ever sport I was playing that was in season. Once I was in college whenever I was home we would end up here after the bars for some much needed food. This past November we came here after our 10 year Penncrest reunion and it was crazy flash backs sitting in the booths with friends from high school 10 years later. I go out to my parents often for dinner and many times grab a pizza from here. Cheese steaks are really good and I actually really like the pizza. Good beer selection as well.

Pinocchio's is a staple in Media. With a large menu, long hours and a full bar, it is difficult not to find something to satisfy. It is the place that you know is always there, always open...almost like being home. The Greek salad with their house dressing is the best...though just an order of raw onions and feta cheese with the house dressing is worth dreaming about. Thursday night is Fiesta night featuring $2.00 margaritas and a special menu of Mexican inspired foods. They try...and often it works. The pizza is average, but they make a lot of it so something must be working.

It's so tough to review pizza. Everyone has a style, crust that they prefer. It's just not fair. Pinocchio's should be reviewed for everything else they have to offer and how well they make their style of pizza. Thin crust, good sauce and decent cheese sums it up. Their specialty pies are very good too. My favorite is the Buffalo chicken. I usually don't get anything for my main course but pizza, but the couple times I did order a steak or hoagie, it was decent. Apps are pretty standard, however the onion rings are huge and battered nicely. The wings (the HOT ones) are ridiculously good. They leave your lips tingling. My kids love it here (they get a ball of dough to mess around with until food comes.) There's always a good selection of soups of the day. Their chili is decent. And what makes this a 4-star spot for me is the BEER. Delaware County has a severe shortage of places to sit down and have a good pie and drink some decent beer. Pinocchio's usually has some sort of Bud/Bud Lite or other mass produced style on special during a Phils' game. I'll partake of that every now and then. But the real stars here are the craft beers that are rotated through the taps and the myriad of bottles you can select from the beer garden. It's a perfect marriage, beer and pizza. Prices are right where they should be. Parking is tough, especially Fri. and Sat. nights, but it isn't a deal breaker. For me personally, service has been good about 9 times out of 10. And that one time, it wasn't terrible, just not as good as others. Very few repeat eateries in Delco, but Pinocchio's is definitely one of them.
