Very pleased and can't wait to go back. Took the family out and wanted to try a new place. I have heard a lot about steam pots and saw on their website that they had them so figured, why not try them. The location is great right on Carlisle Pike. The outdoor deck is fantastic with beach volleyball courts in the back and an island theme which is what I love. The kids got the standard burgers and apps. They were a bit slow in getting that out which was surprising because it wasn't mobbed yet. My fiancé and I decided to get the steampot for two. Let me tell you, there was enough for four. It was fantastic!! The food was fresh and tasted great. All in all, we will becoming back, the drinks were good and the only complaint is the slow service but we figured we came between shifts which added to that. Highly recommend!!

I love crab cakes. I'll drive from Harrisburg to the Baltimore area just for them (Koco's cakes are the best!). I get them at diners and seafood houses. So I when I went to Pappy K's for the first time (and last) I had the crab cakes. I was hungry so I ate them; not being sure what it was I was eating. Maybe it was crab or maybe it was the fake stuff or maybe a mix of both. It was a mushy mound of finely minced something. No crab taste, no obvious seasoning. It was something I might expect at an all-you-can-eat for $9.99 food trough. NOT at a place that wants to be known for great steaks and seafood. In a nutshell: the crab cakes at Pappy K's were the worst I've ever had. The fact that the restaurant is in a lower budget motel that attracts a lot of truckers, and has a big deck with lots of volleyball courts (translation: bar business) may keep it alive. The food certainly won't.

Ok not busy for a Thursday night. Draft Beer is cold. Nacho is average and cold. Skip the ribs the do not slow cook them, yep you guessed it tough and over seasoned. Best item was the corn on the cob. To be fair I have not tried any of there sea food. I may come back to try that, but not sure.

My family and I visited Pappy K's Friday night. I don't normally write reviews, but after reading a few of the other reviews, I thought I should throw my 2 cents in. Our server, Abby, was wonderful. She checked on us frequently, as did two separate managers. We got the feeling that the management had taken the recent bad reviews very seriously and had made some changes. The food was great and we will definitely be back!

This place was great! Stopped on the way to Pittsburgh. Good beers on tap, appetizer (nachos) was quick and hearty - 3 of us shared it. Meals were all good. Glad we picked this place over a chain restaurant.

This place had a great atmosphere but wasn't busy at all on a Tuesday night. The food took longer than expected since it wasn't very busy at all. The food was ok, the burger I got was fairly bland and lacked any real flavor.

Will not return. My friends and I decided to stop by and check out the new place. The new look is cute but the new service is anything but. We went on a Wednesday and there was one table of two beside us and two people at the bar. My friend ordered a draft beer and when she didn't get it, after 5 minutes, I went up and ordered one from the bartender. She walked the length of the bar there separate times before she got our waitress and two beers. The waitress apologized, stating that the bartender was busy. Next, the "Fish Tacos" appetizer. It should be plural because there's only one and don't let the overpriced $8.95 on the menu fool you-- there was a $1 up charge for fish..... ?!? So out comes a taco so small I honestly couldn't make out the difference between the tiny chopped up tomatoes and the fish. The waitress had said it was quite large and would be okay to split. I will upload a picture. Unfortunately the picture does it too much justice. I had asked for lemons in my water when we first arrived. I got three slimy lemons in a bowl once my taco arrived not to mention the bartender and waitress standing behind the kitchen door looking out at our table. Really?! We got our check as the other two in our party arrived, making it clear that we would not be back. The manager apologized and spouted how she would really like for us to come back but did nothing to fix the problems-- no future coupon or incentive and she certainly made no effort to comp is the $12 for a 10 minute late draft beer and $9.95 up charge for fish-- fish taco. I've never been so disappointed in a new establishment. I will never come here and will make sure others don't either. This was not worth my patronage. Get it together , Pappy K Staff!

I came here tonight with three other friends. We walked in and were told to sit wherever we wanted. About five minutes after we sat the waitress came by to take our drink orders. No problems with the drink orders. When she took our drink orders we put in for an appetizer of jetty fries. Her next time by about 10 minutes later we put in our dinner orders. The dinner order consisted of fish tacos, two surf burgers and a pretzel burger (requested cooked medium). A few minutes later the fish tacos arrived at the table. And about 7 minutes later the jetty fries arrived. The fries were good, but I don't know that they were worth $15. It was probably another 30 minutes until the burgers arrived. The place was dead mind you. So it's not like the kitchen was backed up. My pretzel burger was not cooked to my order (requested medium and received well done). Nothing (condiments) were offered when the food was delivered. This did not occur until we were about 3/4 done with our food. I am glad that I didn't want any ketchup. The food was nothing to write home about. Another good item to note was that a table next to us was finishing and leaving as we sat down. Over one hour later when we were leaving that table still had not been touched to clean it up and prepare for the next guest. It even took a long time to get the check at the end. Was the waitress in the back chiseling the check on stone? I will not be back.

Disappointment. We had been looking forward to trying this place since I have such great memories from the old Wandas days... Would love to have a nearby deck to frequent. The drink menu looked great and affordable but after 3 different drinks we could not detect any alcohol in 2 and the 3rd was so watered down it was not worth half the price. It was insulting. Yes u can get cheap pitchers but they might as well be over priced fake fruit juice. The mojeto had no flavor and rotted limes. I kid u not. They were rotting and when squeezing yielded no juice. Just dried up nubs. We asked for another lime. Same thing. Gross. We will go back sometime to try the food. But we will not be ordering those crappy drinks.

Good time! Stopped by after work for a drink to see the change. After seeing a few of the food orders pass me by I decided to call the wife to meet here for dinner. I went with traditional bar food, she went with some of the seafood options. All of the food was good, beer was ice cold and service was spot on. Couldn't really ask for more, will certainly be back.

Door girl is super rude, they charge a $5.00 cover to get in on a Saturday night when barely ANYONE is there. The excuse was oh there is a country band playing, yet it was in the other room that we didnt even go in or care to. So we paid $5 each to pay even more for drinks when we got in. Bathrooms are disgusting, no papertowels, no toilet paper, no soap in the dispensers (glad to see employee's wash hands). We went once only because it was right after a wedding at the Park Inn which this establishment is attached to. Now I know that is the ONLY reason they ever get business....it's convenient to go to right after a wedding reception or party. I give this place 2-3 years then they will be run down and go out of business. Word to the management and owner: learn how to run a business!

I was in town with a large group of co-workers and we ate there the entire week we stayed because it was attached to the Park Inn we stayed at. Last night, they had a concert at the hotel and we walked in and they told us there would be a long wait. We had three different people tell us this like they didn't want the business. We proceeded to wait for a table and went to a bar where we saw others come in and get service. We asked the same waitress if we could order drinks and she said she wasn't serving but would get someone for us. We saw the same waitress serve someone at the same deserted bar we were sitting at. A concerned patron who was sitting with us notified the manager who finally took care of us but the damage was done and we were there for 3 hours with one round of drinks and finally got our food. This had to be the worst service I ever received. They have a nice setup but staff is very inexperienced and in some cases rude. I would never go back to this place. The food was very average and the service was very poor!
