Glad I discovered Isaac's as they have great sandwiches. Check out their website and sign up for the club for specials, coupons. Service is quick and they have a fun atmosphere.

This is a must try if you're in the area. We don't have an Isaac's near us so when I come across one I stop. The pepperjack tomato soup is amazing.

A step up from the usual fast food. Fast service, tasty and relatively healthy food and inexpensive. Nice variety of sandwiches and soups. If you don't want fast food and don't have time to stop at a regular sit-down place this will do the trick. Nice decor inside as well, very pleasant. We'll go again.

Here on business and stopped in around 7 pm on a Sunday night. First thought: oh boy. The place is decorated like it's still the 80s! But I was hungry and the pickings are slim out here on a Sunday night. The food more than made up for the decor. I had cauliflower bisque soup, which was creamy and cheesy and delicious. I could have just had a big bowl of that! Perfect temperature and tasted fresh. Colleague that the tomato cheese soup and really liked it. I also had half a Mockingbird sandwich, after much deliberation. So many sandwiches! Lots of veggie options if you're into that sort of thing. Too many sandwiches with mushrooms, but that's just me. The Mockingbird hit the spot. Nothing special about the bread, but the ham was good and a generous amount. Chips were meh. Nothing exciting there. They could probably up the chip game. Colleague had one of the side salads as part of the combo and it was much bigger than anticipated. Looked good too! Overall, I'd come back for a soup and sandwich if I was in the area. Maybe for lunch tomorrow if the still have that soup!

Not sure what all of the praise is for this location and frankly this chain. I've eaten at two Isaac's in the past year and while I have only tasted four of their sandwiches and a handful of their sides and salads, I am underwhelmed by their food quality, execution and portions. Small portions and limited sides exacerbate the core problem that the sandwiches aren't very good. My caveat: I love NY Deli sandwiches, fresh breads, rolls and piled high with meats and cheeses. Isaac's is not a NY Deli (probably not trying to be so that's probably unfair). Basically it is a sit down subway with soup, salads and some deli like sides. The good: the menu appears creative, generally the restaurant is kid friendly and meals are reasonably fast. The bad (specific to my visit 9/18/15 with 2 adults and 2 toddlers): Food quality: Terrible. Rye bread for Reuben was basically pepperidge farm; daughters Mac n cheese was the worst Kraft Mac n cheese I've ever tasted (old, cold and too much margarine); my sandwich (blue heron) was ok, but had more lettuce than any other ingredient by 200%; my other daughter's pizza was half of a stale pita with tomato sauce and cheese; house made kettle chips aren't really 'house made' like you are lead to believe...they are from a bag and not even a high quality or locally produced kettle chip; and finally, Reuben ham (yes, ham) was off. Service: Slow, unreliable, distracted, but pleasant. So, our waitress disappeared for long stretches, incorrectly ordered our Reuben with ham, never checked on food quality, left piles of dirty plates on the table, and never refilled drinks (or offered), was very nice when she actually addressed us and attended to us. Perhaps she recognizes that even great service can't overshadow the flaws in the food. Didn't expect fine dining at all, but server wasn't in the weeds, restaurant was 25% capacity; and serving deli sandwiches doesn't necessarily demand great focus for what appeared to be a total of five tables in her section. Reminder: all of our 'hot' food was served cold Mac n Cheese, pizza and blue heron). Restaurant: pretty filthy. Just look at the carpet and bathrooms before you eat. We sat down and started eating before we observed the filth. Final tip: there's not a lot to eat in this area within walking distance, but there is a good quality pizza/Italian kitchen, which is superior in all of the above categories! Final Question: Do people really like the food at Isaacs or is it the goofy bird mascot, rainbow bread and bird theme that attract customers?

This place is kind of silly what with its "this is what futuristic looked like in 1992" decor and its bird-named sandwiches (try ordering a "Whooping Crane" with a straight face), but that's why I loved it! There are about 400 different kinds of sandwiches, so take your time with the menu, which is organized by sandwich type. I appreciated that they offer pretzel rolls, but I didn't actually try one myself. Instead, I had some of the Hoopoe (ordering it was half the fun!) which was a tuna melt-like sandwich, and I also had some of the chicken salad sandwich (the Shrike, I think). I was pleased with everything. The chips that come with the sandwiches aren't great, but you'll be too full to eat them anyway. The desserts looked wonderful, but my lame-o friends didn't want one. They also sell cookies for like 60 cents! Again, didn't get one (peer pressure from the lame-os). The waitress was helpful and accommodating about orders and checks. Overall, this is a great place to stop on a road trip if you want a quick, cheap, sit-down meal.

Not sure if my memory was failing me or if Isaacs has changed drastically over the years. I ate at Isaacs frequently from 1991-1996, but then moved away. For this visit, the food was okay. Certainly better than a diner, but it was missing the "pow" that I remember. I always thought the salads came with the sandwiches, not something extra to order. My son's regular looking hoagie was about $10. Yikes. I don't think I will specifically look to eat at Isaacs anymore when passing through the area, but I wouldn't say someone shouldn't go.

This is a 5 star restaurant for sure. I had the Pterodactyl which was great and the fudgie wudgie which was also awesome also. If you are staying at the Hampton Inn next door you definitely need to stop in here to eat.

Love everything about this place. The food is excellent, fresh and affordable. Staff is very friendly and outgoing. Cannot say enough about how great the food is. Sandwiches are allowed delicious and made to order exactly how you want. Their tortellini salad is amazing and their homemade soups are incredible. Highly recommended

Great sandwiches and always consistent. I usually get the rainbow parrot with a cup of the pepper jack tomato soup and you can't go wrong. The service is quick and the unlimited pickle blend is always sure to please! Great lunch spot.

Expensive and small portions. Good tasting sandwich but about half the size of a normal sandwich. Service was slow and most the help stood behind the counter talking and having fun.

Cute place with a "Back to the Future" feeling. Make sure to try the Rainbow Parrot or any of the pretzel sandwiches!
