I lived in the Friuli region of Italy when I was a teenager. Nothing like sitting at an outdoor cafe at the foot of the Alps with an Italian hoagie - real provolone, sosprasetta, prosciutto...and an Aranciata to wash it down. At 45 years old, Dinunzio's is the first hoagie I've ever had that whisked me back to that time in my life. These guys know what they're doing - the meats are great quality and not only that, whoever made the menu knows how to pair meats, cheeses, peppers, and condiments in the proper and traditional Italian way, all the way down to the oil and vinegar, and generous salt and pepper. This is the best Italian hoagie you're bound to get this side of NYC and I'd be willing to bet, this side of Venice. Simple menu with great variety, fast, cheap, and generous. Only one drawback: The hours. They close after lunch and are closed on Sundays (as are most places in Lebanon). It reminds me of traditional Italian values - dinner should be spent with the family, not working your business, so kudos on the owners for that decision. But still, so many people are missing out on this hidden gem because they don't work in that area. Even for lunch, I suggest you call ahead and place your order, because sometimes the line is out the door by 11:30. Do Not Miss!!

One of the best places to get a sub in Lebanon County. The rolls are fresh and they make a good size sandwich.

Always excellent service and great food! There's sooo much meat and cheese packed into the fresh rolls, that they should give you a knife and fork with every sub you buy. Get napkins for sure. Money well spent every time.

If you want to get a good Hoagie in Lebanon this is the place to go. They get fresh rolls (hard and soft) from Philly daily and use the highest quality deli meats. The One Potato Two Potato chips made right up the road complement the sandwiches perfectly. My only complaint is that they are only open for lunch. #3, The Hungry Italian, with the Cracked Pepper chips will change your life.

This Recently opened Hoagie shop has lines out the doors already. The breads they Use escalate the Hoagie to elite statues. They have 16 sandwiches total on the menu. They are open Monday to Friday 11 am to 2 pm or when the bread runs out. No schtick here just off the hook heroes. This place has hall of fame written all over it , as long as the Italian bread and commitment stays true to form

Ate here again last week. Got the hungry Italian. I was in around 12:30 and they were out of hard rolls, so I had a soft roll. I am salivating as I type. This place is amazing. I will go out of my way to eat here if I am in a 10 mile radius.

I've been picking up hoagies for myself and coworkers from here for about a month now. In a town swimming in hoagie options this is a true standout. The meat, bread and cheeses are always fresh and of high quality. I recommend calling ahead as they can get very busy and/or run out of bread which actually indicates the freshness of it. High turnover = fresh The only bummer is that they're only open until 2. Hope that changes in the near future.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
