This is one of those places where I wish i could give a half star. Its just shy of 3 stars I think, but not quite 2.. ---------- FOOD: I got a rigatoni, my girl got a rocco salad. Mine was ok if not humongous, she said hers was kind of sour. Too much vinegar. DECOR: Its kind of a darker cozier olive garden. The place was packed and still kind of felt cozy. SERVICE: They were busy so they jam you into a table that still has the last check and a warm seat. We didnt even get silverware until we asked for it. The service itself was friendly tho. The waiter came around often. ---------- WOULD I GO BACK? Naa, i had a gift cert and Im not a huge fan of chain restaurants. Besides the food was just ok, not spectacular. Besides, for just the 2 of us to eat with no alcohol it cost almost 50$..

Love Carrabba's! This one can be a hit or miss. That is why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars. The last we went was during the dinner hours on a Saturday. The call ahead seating is a must. Walked in with our table ready while there were several groups waiting outside to be seated. Highly recommend one of their homemade pasta specialties such as the Fettuccine Weesie. This is a dynamite dinner if you love fettuccine. It includes shrimp and mushrooms. They offer 3 types of salad with the dinner: Italian, House or Caesar salad. All are excellent. The dressing is light even on the Caesar, which makes it delicious. The house wines are always wonderful along with yummy bread and olio. The atmosphere is very nice, but last visit they brought our main meals while eating salads still. All in all if you want to step away from the mom & pop pizza pasta shops, Carrabba's is a great place to stop in at.

For whatever reason I like the Carrabba's up my way better. That's not to say that this one isn't good as my meal was exceptional and so was the service. My trio of friends held our Christmas Dinner/Gift Exchange here one year. Something just doesn't compare to the other location, but we still enjoyed it. Really its about the same. *On a side note, we gave gifts to all of the kitchen staff as part of a Random Acts of Kindness gesture.

We come to Carrabba's a handful of times a year. Their food is always great and if something is ever a miss, the staff always goes above and beyond to make it right. Our waitress Tracy D. did an amazing job tonight. My family can be a handful and she didn't miss a single beat. She was really on top of everything and went above and beyond to make the service excellent. Thank you!!

Enjoyed a pleasant dinner experience here last night! The place is even more spacious now that they have expanded! Our waitress was pleasant and attentive to our drinks. Yes its corporate, but they still do an excellent job and work VERYhard. My tomato soup was served hot and had the perfect consistency! Enjoyed the flatbread appetizer as my entree then. My mom enjoyed the chicken bryan once again. Always a favorite for our family! Will be back once again!

When you go to Carrabbas you know you're going to eat well. I enjoy just walking into their establishments for the wonderful aromas. We ate last night at the Lancaster site and we're not disappointed. I had the goat cheese chicken, my wife had the caprese pasta with chicken. Both were delicious. They're running a special with Coppolla wines, so we had the Pinot. Thank you Corey for the fine service. We'll be back.

I like this place. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable, the waiters were very attentive and answered all our questions, food was delicious and certainly will repeat. The night we visited was during the week and it was a good crow but not crowed at all.. I am looking forward to repeat. The restaurant has good lighting and seatings. Easy parking and accessible from major route 30th..

To be honest I'm not a big chain fan but I do find that many of them do have great steaks at a reasonable price. Carrabba's is no exception although I have had some that were not up to par. This past week I tried one of there new chicken dishes that was absolutely tasteless but what really floored me was the price they charged for a Jack and Coke. $8.15 for a small drink. Ridiculous! I'm not saying I won't go back but I will be drinking water.

Hospitality: We were greeted with mild warmth by the hostess and seated in a mostly empty restaurant on a thursday night. Our table was on a busy corner even thought there were plenty of empty tables available. Our waiter was helpful and friendly and the tag team approach they have set up kept our drinks filled and requests answered quickly. Food: Chain-quality italian food. I make better sauce at home but wanted a quick fix. I ordered the tomatoe caprese for an appetizer. The tomatoes looked pale and the plate turned into a sloppy mess- definitely not local sourced tomatoes. I had pasta with meat sauce. The sauce tasted mostly like the hamburger but some of the tomatoe and spices did filter through. Weak flavor though. My date had the chicken marsala. The wood fired grill gives the chicken and steak there a delicious flavor. Only complaint with her food was that there was a severe shortage of marsala sauce so we had to ask for more, which was brought our promptly. The verdict: If you have a hankering for above average chain store italian head on over.

Not very good any more. We dined on a Sunday evening and noticed that it was crowded. Having been here before several times I was looking forward to a pleasant meal. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and noticed that it was over salted and over cooked, the salad was brown on the edges, and the side dish of broccoli was over cooked. The only thing good was the fresh bread. Other times the dining was average to above average, but this time was bad.

This was our first time at a Carrabas and it certainly won't be our last! The wait was pretty long do we decided to sit at the counter and were entertained by the pizza and dessert chef! The food was delicious and we were sad that we were too full for dessert. Definitely going back!

We just discovered Carrabba's and are delighted we did. The service was excellent - attentive without being obtrusive. And the food was fabulous! The Cozze in Bianco, mussels prepared in a wonderful blend of herbs in a light sauce, were perfect, and the serving was large. The sausage and lentil soup was rich, if a little on the salty side. The first bite of the Pollo Sorrento was pure ambrosia and only got better. My husband had the Chicken Bryan and thoroughly enjoyed it. The sides of sautéed broccoli and cavatappi amatriciana were were prepared fresh - nothing sitting on a steam table. We ordered the smaller size servings to leave room for dessert. Good idea. The John Cole ice cream with caramel sauce and cinnamon rum pecans had three scoops of ice cream. I got the Signature Dessert Trio. All three were delicious, but definitely should be shared with one or two other people!

This location made me think Carrabas is going downhill. The meals that we have ordered at other Carrabas locations were not that great. The restaurant was not very clean and the service was terrible.

Stopped in for a late dinner during my stay in Lancaster. The restaurant is conveniently located off the freeway and is next to some hotels and an Outback. The place was packed for 8:30 on a Friday night, but after a short 5 minute wait we were seated. The staff are friendly and the place seemed kept clean. Coming from NY we know real Italian, and I was not expecting it coming from a chain restaurant. We ordered the fettucini Alfredo and the Mezzaluna raviolis. Both were decent and palatable. I also tried the Sangria flights taster, which was surprisingly decent. We ended with the Lemoncello bread pudding dessert, which was also decent. I wish the service from our waiter was a bit better, we saw other people sat after us get their food, drinks, bread etc before us. What also was a big points off for him was that the menu showed the Lemoncello bread pudding dessert takes 20 minutes to prepare, which we knew when we were ordering, but he said that it really only takes 5 minutes, and that we can order it when we're done - taking his word for it was a mistake, since we ended up having to wait 25 minutes after ordering it after our entree. He claims they lost the check for it and had the manager take it off the bill, but I also saw he disappeared during that entire time we were waiting. In all it was a decent meal, but service could use improvement.

I eat here last night and was pleasantly suprised. My bartender Tara in taking care of the vodka and suggested the chixken trio. The flavors were good and the chicken was cooked well. When I say well im not talking cooking temps. I would go here again!

This place is similar to a Macaroni Grill. Both a more expensive Olive Garden, a little more high scaled. Your meals don't include unlimited soup or salad. I've came here a couple times. I thought I'd try it out a 2nd time, but it wasn't any better. I'm probably not a fan because Olive Garden has a bigger variety of food, including the soup/salad with your meal, and its cheaper. Oh, and tastes better as well. The 2nd time I came here, I wasn't a fan of what I had eaten. Carrabba's is just not for me. I won't be returning.

Excellent food, very fresh, good value and wonderful atmosphere. Without a doubt one of the best places in Lancaster to get Italian food.

Worst Carrabbas I have ever been too. I mean the only reason it has two stars is because i generally love Carrabbas as a chain to lower my review. The flatbread looked like the employees in the back had been nibbling on it. No Comparison to the Virginia,North Carolina, and South Carolina locations I have been too.

Had lunch there today with my wife and a friend. My wife had the Maui. It was outstanding...gave it five stars. I had the beef skewers and mashed potatoes...I gave it a four. Good, but after tasting the Maui, I couldn't go higher. Our friend had shrimp and scallops in linguini...good, but almost no scallops. The service was efficient, timely and friendly. Beer choices, on draft, we're merely adequate.

I don't expect great food while on a family vacation. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this restaurant while staying across the street at the Eden Resort. There were many choices for the children in our group while offering plentiful and tasty options for the adults. The ambience is great, the service excellent and the food tasty enough that we returned for a second dinner during our week in the area. No, it's no North End of Boston or Little Italy, but this is a step or two above your standard Italian chain. Locals probably know of better places, but if you are traveling in the area, plan on a meal here.

I was here on vacation with my family and staying at the Eden Resort across the street. My Dad's from Italy and I've been to Italy, so I've got an idea of how food at a place like Carrabba is going to taste. It's passable. For a family of four with young boys, its fine. The service was the best part of the place; they worked hard, but the food was a bit salty. Nicest part is that I left my credit card at the restaurant and even though I canceled it, I went back the next night and they held it for me. There weren't any erroneous charges on it so for that, I thank them.

Compared to other Carrabba's, this one ranks lower. The service is not consistant and I have had to send the food back a few times because the steak was either under cooked or tasted like beef jerky. It would be ok if you are Sasquatch but for us humans that want a medium cooked steak, an over cooked steak is no fun to eat. When it is cooked properly here, it is very good. Another thing that kinda bothers me is it doesn't open until 4pm and closes at 9pm???

Went here with my family when we were visiting the area. The food was very good. The service was excellent. Took over 45 minutes to get a table. I think this was due to understaff as there was empty tables while we were waiting.

My favorite chain Italian restaurant. A step above Olive Garden for about the same price. Fresh bread with oil and spices always welcomes you and starts the evening off right. I've tried a few different items and haven't been disappointed with any of my choices.

I am TOTALLY ABOVE reviewing a chain restaurant! But I have to help my fellow Lancaster citizens who may be out looking for a decent casual place to eat. And we DO eat here, so I may as well review it. This restaurant is a step up from the other chain Italian restaurants in Lancaster (Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill). The bread is fresh, the dipping oil is dynamite! Not just oil swirled on a dish with cracked pepper. This has garlic, rosemary, basil, and maybe some cheese... it is just delicious paired with that bread. The salads are OK, and always drenched with dressing. The chicken Marsala is delicious! it is not your typical chicken marsala, (pounded thin, breaded and cooked in Marsala sauce) it is a fresh grilled chicken breast with the marsala sauce on top. Very very good. the Chicken Brian is delicious as well! The limoncello bread pudding is delicious! i've had a few things that were hit or miss, but this is good for a cozy, casual night out. Good service too. They have call ahead seating AND will take reservations which you will need on a weekend.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
