I really enjoyed Hart's Tavern! We came here for lunch. I ordered a crab cake sandwich with seasoned fries that was very tasty. My boyfriend had a chicken caesar salad which he also enjoyed. We needed something quick and cheap and Hart's Tavern was both. Highly recommended.

Yum! I think out of the dozen or so times I've come to Peddler's, I've been to Hart's at least half of them. I highly recommend the potato/corn soup and basically anything else on the menu is great. I like the lighting inside and the overall atmosphere, very pub.

I've read the previous reviews for this place and am truly surprised that anyone could possibly come here and be disappointed. It's a pub located within an outdoor shopping center (Peddler's Village), so lets get that settled right off the bat. While that sounds questionable and could potentially be a recipe for disaster, in this case it all comes together amazingly well. For me it means driving out on a Sunday afternoon to stroll around the manicured grounds, browse the shops/outlets and then come inside to a cozy, affordable meal of comfort food at sundown. I never fail to order the chicken corn chowder which to me is the best I've had anywhere...ever. If you have several people in your party then you must also share the nachos with the works. The portion is more than generous, the chips are toasted golden brown and they are always so, so good. Do as you wish for the main course but if you still have room for dessert (and at this point, I rarely ever do) then try the frozen hot chocolate. Like everything else here, its very good. Come with the right mindset, follow my recommendations and I defy anyone to be in the slightest bit disappointed.

Nice location with friendly service but the food is nothing to write home about. I went with 2 others and we all thought our food was only ok. I'll check into other places next time I'm at Peddler's Village.

Delicious burger here!! Cooked perfectly medium rare--exactly as I ordered it. Fries and burger were piping hot. Bun was nice and soft. My boyfriend and I ordered a salad to share as a starter. They split it into two separate bowls for us, brought us two different dressings (one for each of us), and did it happily. The server brought a complimentary bowl of applesauce to my fussy niece. Quick, attentive, and pleasant service. Thanks Hart's Tavern for a yummy and reasonably priced early dinner!

Hart's Tavern - right in PV servs an important purpose - to give shoppers an alternative place to grab a bite and a brewski at a place OTHER than the Cock 'n Bull. I miss Jenny's - the old restaurant that is now Earl's Prime. (Don't get me started) and Hart's is easier to deal with than the spotted hog - which is loaded with strollers. You can get a decent (if overpriced) sandwich here and chill out for a while before returning to the throngs of holiday shoppers.

Better than the Cock n bull and McDonald's. Beer is fine and the atmosphere is 4 stars. Stick with the burgers and sandwiches if you're shopping around. Sitting by the window is pretty nice unless it's windy out. Service is a little slow.

This is my husband's and I 3rd, yearly visit to the tavern. We usually stay at the Golden Plough and have dinner here for one of the nights of our stay. We love the bar area and start off with a drink. The bartender has been the same woman for the past 2 years. She is quite pleasant and friendly. The service is good and the food is just fine. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and we usually get into nice conversations with other patrons at the bar. We look forward to our next visit.

Hart's used to be pretty decent. Last night's visit was unimpressive! Food was good but very overpriced! Dessert was very good not worth the money! Stick to burgers and Sandwiches!

I visited Hart's Tavern with my family, a party of 7 (6 adults and one 2 year old) while visiting Peddler's village. The wait time was typical for the crowd there during Xmas to see the lights and the gingerbread house competition. The restaurant it self isn't something fancy. The atmosphere is that of a traditional american bistro in PA. The service was very good, everything was on point and brought over at just the right time. Our drinks were filled sometimes without even realizing it. I am a fan of the food, it was overall very good. I'd recommend the nacho's and onion rings for appetizers. The french onion soup was just okay, but the soup was a little too sweet for my liking (my wife thought the same - maybe because of the onions). The hit of the meal for me by far the burger. It's been a long time since I've had a burger that good. This is mainly why it's getting a four star rating for me.

Cozy pub-like atmosphere with the perfect Peddler's Village backdrop. The mozzarella sticks were great and unique! We decided to try them after seeing them in some other yelp reviews. The French onion soup was average or maybe slightly below. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the soup with all that gooey cheese but I've had better in terms of broth. Then we split the fish and chips, it gets my stamp of approval! We also got the blueberry bread pudding, so good. I'd go back!

Great service, friendly atmosphere. Excellent place for a brew and some quick chow. Probably one of the best French Onion soups I've had. Right in Peddler's Village and serves as overflow from the Cock & Bull Tavern.

I've been to Hart's a handful of times over the last few years. Each time has been better than the last. The food is always delicious and made specifically how you order it. The service is impeccable. And of course, you have to love the location. One thing to note: they do not take reservations and they do get busy! So either go at an off time or be prepared to wait a bit.

Food was very good, service is very good, prices are fair. You are paying for the location as well, so it could be worse. I would go again! Yum

Meh. Been here twice in the last couple of years with family. Great place for a beer but the food is at or below average. My husband had their turkey sandwich that he declared was mediocre. I had their veggie burger...decent but the side salad was pretty sad. Time to try another Peddlers Village establishment

Had lunch here while visiting Peddler's Village and very nice lunch. Our server was very attentive and recommended the hot turkey sandwich and the blueberry muffin martini - both were excellent.

Okay so today I was standing in the middle of this restaurant and Cock n Bull - read both reviews and opted for this one being that it was 1/2 of a star higher than CnB. My rating would really be a 3 1/2 but since we can't give out 1/2 stars I'm being generous with a 4.... From start to finish here we go: Upon entering we noticed there was barely any space to park our stroller - had to fold it up and left it in the hall way between the 2 front doors. Hostess looked slightly annoyed and frantic combined. She took our party # and proceeded to the parties behind us telling them how long the wait was but not us - about 5-10 min. (Was a 5 min wait for us) The menu is pretty basic - typical appetizer choices, soups/salads, sandwiches and burgers. Kids menu offered a decent selection. With very low expectations I ordered my daughter the pizza. I'm so glad I tried her pizza as I cut it up for her - it was pretty good. I ordered the pulled pork sliders and hubby ordered the corned beef sandwich. He was a little annoyed bc the sandwich came out dry and wanted mustard for it but as our luck would have it the waitress was busy with other tables for a good 5 min. Our waitress was nice and got us anything we requested - napkins, mustard, daughters dessert to go etc.. Only real gripe - we were seated to the left of the hostess booth along the window - IT WAS FREEZING COLD. I asked our waitress if they could turn the air down but she said she would ask 'him' - assuming the MOD - but she didn't think 'he' would allow it I get lowered bc supposedly the entire restaurant would then get cold.... Alright cool, guess you don't care about your customers comfort! I put on mine and my daughters sweatshirt - poor hubby didn't have a jacket so he froze. Another really annoying thing to note - my hot food turned cold very quickly bc it was like eating in an ice box. The food - cheap and you get a decent portion. Our bill for 3 - really 2(1/2) was roughly $30. The staff/service - very nice but as others yelpers noted, a bit slow... The decor - depressing and out dated. All wood everywhere with tacky lamps. Would I come back? Probably.

Do yourself and your stomach a favor when in Peddlers Village eat at Hart's! The chili is so delicious and filled with chunks of beef it will make a vegetarian convert. The menu is loaded with delicious options and there is something for everyone to enjoy. I recommend sitting at the bar (unless you have children) It cuts down on the wait to get seated and the male bartender gives great service and is friendly. The restaurant is always clean and the atmosphere is great. The prices are reasonable too. One time there while dining we met and hung out with this nice couple from the UK. We ended up sharing lunch and chatting about Money Python. AB-Fab. and Fawlty Towers. So after following the wife around Peddlers Village while she shopped for hours and you built up an appetite go to Hart's you will not be disappointed.

Oh veggie grinder where have you been all my life...and you, Texas petal sandwich how I adore you. I love this place! Sure it gets crowded but it' awesome and the atmosphere is relaxed. I love the fireplace just outside the restaurant also. I've never had a bad meal here! Make sure you stop by. Grab a bloody mary and a sandwich. You won't be diappointed.

The one good spot to go to in this whack ass shopping center they call an outlet. Food - Nachos were bangin! They weren't cheap on anything. Plate was topped with chilli, olives, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes. So good and so cheap! We also had a sampler. It was okay. My nephew ordered a kid's meal pizza but they made a mistake and gave us a regular sized pizza pie and honored the kids meal price because it was their mistake. Manager was real nice about it and I have nothing to complain about when we're getting a full size pizza instead of kid's size. Beverages - Beer, wine, everything on the menu was dirt cheap. Service - Friendly but a bit slow. Verdict - Cheap food and drinks. I would not recommend sitting in their booths. Highly uncomfortable. If you're in this boring ass town and looking for junk food and beer, Hart's could be your goto spot in Lahaska.

The Man and I came here in late March on our way down to a car show. I'd never been to Peddler's Village before and he was determined to change that. We stopped by a few shops and figured we'd grab lunch before going on our merry way. We asked the lady working at the Irish store, and she suggested Hart's Tavern, so away we went. The restaurant was pretty quiet since since it was a bit past lunchtime. We were seated at a table in the far dining area near the window so we were able to look at the sun shining outside. Our server brought our menus and gave us a few minutes to deicde what we wanted. The Man and I opted to split an order of Oversized Mozzarella Sticks. He went with the Roast Turkey Sandwich and I had the Homemade Fried Crab Cake Sandwich. A few minutes later, a plate of double-sized mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce were brought to our table. They weren't kidding about oversized! The were about the normal thickness and length of the traditional round mozz sticks, but were at least twice as wide. The breading was really nice - not too heavy but with a really great crunch. The sauce paired really nicely. As for our entrees. I very much enjoyed my sandwich, although nothing tops the crab cakes I've enjoyed in Maryland. Still, there was plenty of crab meat and a minimal of fillers. It was nicely fried to give it a golden crust, but it was not greasy. The Man lovedlovedloved his sandwich. This guy loves Thanksgiving, so I was not surprised at all that he liked it, but I figured he'd have at least come up for air while eating! Nope, he just plowed right through it like a champ. The restaurant itself doesn't look like anything special, but the back dining areas away from the bar have a quaint homeyness that we liked. Add that to the solid food and decent-for-a-tourist-trap prices, and you've got a place that I'm totally willing to go back to when I'm in the area again.

Even giving this eatery one star was over-rating! Awful! We visited Peddler's Village last Saturday and were offered to dine in this establishment by Cock n Bull, as the latter was in the process of changing from lunch to dinner. At Hart's, my husband ordered a chicken sandwich on a roll so stale it literally fell apart on the first bite! And worse yet, our waitress came around once during our stay! Our lunch consisted of onion rings. Then to boot, they gave us a $5.00 discount instead of discounting the meal. Most expensive onion rings ever! Will never return!

  • Erin P.

it's a standard, classic pub. the atmosphere has a grimy charm and it smells like old frier grease. you feel like you're in your uncle's basement bar. it's a good low-key hangout for a beer if you don't expect it to be fancy-pants. my most recent trip here we just got wings (surprisingly good) and a heaping plate of onion rings. the onion rings are served with a horseradish sauce which is pretty tasty. i'd stick to beers and apps but i'm sure you can't go wrong with a burger or other sandwich. and FYI, for those of you who don't know, you can't really go out hard in the village. there is a no shots and no doubles policy at every bar.

Hart's Tavern is right in Peddler's Village and offers an intimate setting for any meal. I was here for dinner with family awhile ago - service was friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my BBQ baby back ribs ($12) - they're awesome and quite tasty, with meat that slides right off the bone. The cole slaw that came with it wasn't bad. Recommended!

For it being in Peddler's Village, only way it gets 3-stars. Its OK, go every Dec-1st week , for the grand illumination festival, long wait, cold outside, still had to wait like 30-40 minutes. My Best friend & I went , , he got burger, Don't remember what I got, that means, it was lackluster, if I forget. Nothing to write home about..seek other eateries.

Not the greatest place for lunch, but one of the better ones in the area. The decor of this place is old, and boring, which might have been their intention. Coming here with a group, they surely knew how to help us out and accommodate to our needs. Sure, there might have been some communication problems, but overall, they are hard working. The menu is inexpensive, but only has a few items, so the menu doesn't stand out to me. The combo platter appetizer was quite good, but a bit small. The onion rings are crisp and well-battered. The mozzarella sticks weren't as hot and as cheesy as I wanted, but they tasted great. The wings were pretty good, not a strong buffalo sauce, but the sesame garlic ones were my favorite. The onion soup was too sweet, but was drenched in cheese, which was awesome. The Hart's burger was quite large and came with delicious fries. The burgers themselves were fresh and very good. The personal pizza was quite good. Not the greatest pizza, but for a tavern/grill, I was pretty impressed that they could pull this off. The chicken tenders were average, nothing impressive about them. The black bean burger was almost quite delicious and the bacon burger was really good. Overall, a good place for a lunch with friends, with great service, and average to amazing food.

Best bacon cheeseburger & fries! Servers are always friendly. We go here for lunch just about every time we go to Lahaska/New Hope.

It's a shame because its such a huge space and they could do soooo much with it, but they don't. OK where to start...when we were seated my knife was dirty, like a big crusty piece of dry food on it and a bug started crawling on me. I showered that day so I know it wasn't me being dirty ;) My french onion soup was lukewarm and just ok. My hot roast beef sandwich which is not hard to mess up was bland and just meh. The whole menu needs a massive upgrade as it appears they haven't changed it since 1979. Food was bland, our server looked like he hated life and with as much traffic as they get they could totally do better and charge more and people would definitely pay. Hopefully I don't ever have to go back there.

My wife's salad OK. Way too much money for the amount of salad she got. Her salad gets 3 stars. My experience was 2 stars. I specifically asked for freshly cooked french fries. Got stone cold fries along with stale bread on my corned beef sandwich. Waitress knew the order was lousy, and she went back and got them to re-do everything. Service good. Not sure if I'd return. Overall, 3 stars is generous. More like 2 1/2 stars. Very pricey, quality should have been better.

My family ate at the pub and we had a great experience. The service was friendly and the food was good. We ended our day with a light dinner and the pub hit the spot. I would recommend it.

Dark, dingy, and RUDE staff that come off like they are doing you a favor talking to you. With so many other good choices in the Village you should walk on by this hole.

We should of known we were not going to be impressed based upon this eateries location alone. Situated in the heart of a tourist trap outlet mall, we should of turned around and went back to Doylestown, but we were hungry. The host was pleasant and sat us in a booth. But then the server came over, fresh from his between table cigarette, reeking. We ordered an appetizer platter with wings, cheese sticks, and onion rings. By the time it got to the table, the ranch dressing (which 3 of our 4 don't like) had spilled onto a lot of the food. Our food came, and it was good. Our 8 year old commented that they were the same fries offered in his school cafeteria. My boyfriend asked for sauteed onions and mushrooms on his black bean burger. The server didn't tell us the price. When the check came, the cost for a small amount of sauteed onions and mushrooms was $4. There was not $4 worth of onions and mushrooms on his burger. We will not be going back.

We ate at Hart's Tavern while visiting Peddler's Village during their annual strawberry festival. This was our first time at Hart's and we had the entire family (2 adults, 2 kids). For the very affordable price, the food well exceeded my expectations. I had the Roasted Vegetable Grinder with fries which was excellent. The fiance had the Cheese Steak grinder which he also liked. The kids had the standard kids meal fare and there were no complaints there. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy. Servers were nice, even fellow diners were nice (we struck up conversation with several diners around us). We will definitely be back.

Bacon cheeseburger, buffalo wings, and fries. Yum. After a day around Peddler's Village this was a nice lunch. The service was good, not overbearing, and the food was even better. The wings were the app and was perfectly spicy. The bacon cheeseburger was huge and good, and the fries were tasty.

Dry, luke warm pulled pork sliders. Bland, luke warm onion soup. Bland burger. Not to mention the "fake" french fries. These coated french fries seem to be taking over the industry! Ugh! At Hart's of all places, I would have expected pub fries. Simple, plain skin on fries, not these Cisco quick fry coated imposters. Wait staff seems to be going through the motions, little if any personally and no energy. Peddler's Village on the whole is getting a bit shabby, and the same goes for the décor of Hart's. It seems as thought they have become complacent in the knowledge that the foot traffic there changes week to week so they don't have to worry about repeat business. We live nearby and would love for this to be a better restaurant for casual dining. We have tried Hart's in the past and would rate it neutral. Lately however, it has turned toward "won't be back". Wish they would step things up a little and make dining at Hart's a better overall experience.

just OK. we normally pass this place up because its packed out the door, but now finally going to it, I wouldnt go back unless we wanted something low key late in the night when other local places are closed. its dark and outdated inside. the staff fools around but we still got our food at a reasonable time. we had french onion and salad. both were average, i am stuck at a 3 due to atmosphere and staff mainly.

Nice looking joint, lots of tables. Speed was about average, altho servers were running around like crazy. I like burgers, so I got the pesto burger, asked them to hold the onion. Burger came out with all the toppings on the side like some places do, but it had the nice red onion lumped in with my lettuce and tomato. So, not only did I get a nice strong red onion, but I also got nice strong red onion juices on my lettuce and tomato, which I did want on my burger. Now I'm stuck with a bun (which was good), a burger, a decent sized slice of provolone, about 5 small stringy red peppers, and about a heaping teaspoon of pesto sitting on the middle of my burger. I don't expect a red pepper & pesto salad, but I got a teensy tiny bite of red pepper in maybe half of my bites, and I managed to spread the pesto on about a quarter of the top half of my bun, so I couldn't taste that at all. Ended up just putting catsup on it so I had something besides meat & bread for lunch. On the other hand, fries were excellent and bountiful. They were just the kind I like - crunch with little crunchy bits all over the outside. When I visit again (we go once a year) I will get something else.

I would like to have been able to review this restaurant, but unfortunately, they don't take names and the line was all the way through the restaurant and out the door. It was a hot day, and no one could stand to be out in the heat for long, so we had to pass. We'd definitely have waited for a table had they had a hostess taking names.

I wasn't too impressed with Hart's Tavern. We were there on a busy Sunday night, and it took the waitress 15 minutes to approach our table. Their food selection is disappointing. I don't eat red meat or pork, so the only thing for me to eat on the menu was more or less a turkey sandwich or a salad. No thanks. My boyfriend and I stopped in this past weekend to watch the end of the Eagles game and to warm up. We got the bruscetta, which was decent but had huge (1-2") chunks of fresh mozzarella which was rather odd. We also had a couple beers and headed home after we were kicked out at 6 -- Yes, this places closes at 6 on Sunday, while the Eagles game is on blast on all their TVs. If they are going to pretend to be a "sports bar", they should at least be open til the end of the Eagles game for crying out loud.

It's open on Easter Sunday. Went here a couple times. First time was Easter Sunday because it was the only place open that served food and not overpriced in Peddler's Village. Nothing on the menu really jumped out at me so I had soups both times (corn chowder and chili) as it was cold and I wanted to warm up. The soups were ok. They have a full bar and different beers on tap. What really puts this place down is the cleanliness. Both times I went, I had to get new cutlery multiple times as there was always dried food bits on it. Kind of ruins the appetite. It's not a bad place for groups. The backside of the tavern has a lot more space where you can push together multiple tables (which we did for our party of 15). There are a few big tvs where they show sports.

So I see that Hart's has some great reviews and some really crappy reviews. Me, I'm somewhere right in the middle. We've eaten here twice that I remember, once was very good, the other just ok. First time here I had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and the French onion soup and my wife had the chicken florentine wrap...and we both had a couple of well deserved cold beers. This meal definitely earned them a second trip because my burger was honestly perfect. Just barely cooked to medium with nice crispy bacon and a delicious cheddar then topped with a BBQ sauce. The soup was very good, served piping hot with the cheese nicely carmelized. My wife also enjoyed her wrap...it was full of fresh veggies and mozzarella and the chicken was nicely done. The second time we visited Hart's was just ok. On this cold December day, I started with a pork sliders and the chili...and another beer-don't remember what kind though-only that it was darker (hit the spot). I think my wife had the Texas Petal chicken sandwich. My sliders tasted ok, but they were a bit dried out-I had to ask for some extra sauce and I remember my wife complaining about how dried out her chicken was...simply overcooked. I'm willing to give Hart's another try, but I really hope they kick it back up. Maybe Chris D is right and they need a little bit of a menu upgrade.

The food might be wonderful but the hospitality and customer service leave something to be desired. My husband and I were meeting my parents for dinner. Due to traffic, my parents arrived early. The pub refused to seat them without a full party even though my parents planned to order drinks and starters. My father is a diabetic so it's important that he eats when necessary. The restaurant should rethink their policies. Be warned if your full party is not present.

Swiss alp burger was tasteless and greasy. Corn beef was plain and dry. Worth trying another place.

Typical tourist trap. We had the fried pickles and perogies for starters. They were pretty good. I had the fish and chips while my wife had the turkey wrap. My dinner was ok at best, her wrap was not. For my daughter we ordered the Mac & Cheese and that was the most flavorless thing I have ever had. We had to order a hotdog just so she could eat something. I would recommend to go to Wawa if there was one closer to there. The restaurant does make you feel like you've stepped back in time.

Great place to eat at Peddler's Village - very reasonably priced (not your typical - overpriced tourist attraction food.) Food was tasty and large portions. Cozy atmosphere. The bathroom left A LOT to be desired but most restaurants have lousy restrooms. I would definitely recommend.

  • Eric D.

Probably the better place to eat when at the "Village", be prepared to wait in line to get in, usually about 30 minutes. The service is attentive and the food is very good. Like their chili bowl with a beer in the winter months.
