I walked in today and the restaurant was empty. My friend and I were greeted by friendly employees and told to sit anywhere we like. They give you a sheet of paper where you mark down what you want and how many. First I thought the people must be lazy, but it was actually nice to see every option and the prices all lined up. This would definitely be helpful if you have a big group. Considering we were the only people dining in (two people came in after us and ordered take out) I assumed the food would be out quick, but it actually took awhile. I started with Miso soup which was fine, but that would be pretty hard to screw up. We got a California roll, Philadelphia roll, and a volcano roll. The cali roll was good, I enjoyed that the most. Again, hard to screw up. The Philadelphia roll grossed me out. It was just salmon and cream cheese. The chunk of cream cheese was just too much for me...it felt like I should be eating a bagel, not sushi. I would've added some greens into this roll and maybe it would have been more bearable. The volano roll was interesting. It was deep friend with crab and sea weed and cream cheese, I think? Is sushi really supposed to be fried? Anyway, it was good aside from the hunk of cream cheese. It was topped with a ginger style sauce that was tasty. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but for the price I'd go again. Two of us ate here for under $18.

The sushi is pretty cheap, and it's close to my office. I can't say that it was "great" sushi (because it really wasn't), but they're pretty cheap (compared to the neighboring places) and have some friendly staff. Basically, a big "meh". I wasn't "wowed", but it wasn't unpleasant, either. Be prepared for a long wait if you show up around dinner. My recommendation? Walk a few blocks west and get some sushi at Yakko's.

I attended college in Kutztown, and visited TK's regularly. The prices are great for college students, who make up a lot of the town population. I've had sushi at many locations over the years, but TK's is still my favorite. I recommend the Tiger Tail roll and the Volcano Roll. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice--it's small and casual, but still fairly classy for a college town. I think my only complaint about the atmosphere would be that it's smelled a little fishy lately. There's a wall-mounted TV that usually on a kids channel and muted, probably for the owners' elementary age (and adorable) sons. The service is good. The owners greet you when you walk in, and the waitresses are usually pretty attentive. The owners have thick accents that sometimes make them difficult to understand if you've grown up around only American accents, but the waitresses speak English as their first language. We were actually turned away once because they ran out of rice three hours before closing, but that's the only time there's ever been a problem with ingredient availability. If you're eating with someone who isn't a big fan of sushi, they have other items like shrimp tempura that are pretty filling. I'd highly recommend this for college students and locals.

Wish they got more business here. Sushi is always good and a great price.

This was some bad sushi: mushy, bland and worst of all...warm. Service was bad, too. Never again.

Had a great experience iverall. Sushi was very fresh. The service was a little slow but it appears that they get a lot if take out. That and the fact that the stuff is all made right there. Decor was basic and they could have used a divider so u dont see some of the less appealing back door area.

Too bad I can't give this place zero stars. Everything is bad staring with a green tea out of tea bag, ending with a 20 minute wait for miso soup and 25 for nasty tasting thick warm sushi. The catch? - I was the only person in this restaurant! Not that I'll ever be there again but if you happen to be in Kutztown - avoid

The only reason to go here so because it's the only place in town! The service is RUDE and so slow. Last time I was there a boy was brushing his teeth in the kitchen... disgusting...

Pretty good sushi! Portion size was a bit small for my spider roll but still pleased.

Pretty bad sushi, the spicy tuna is definitely from canned tuna. Service is slow. Overall, not too great.

This place is almost always dead. I was very surprised since it's right on Main St. in Kutztown. The sushi is bigger than most & it's reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the delicious sauce that they placed on top of their sweet potato roll. However, I was very pissed off when I paid $2.25 for two bites of lettuce that they had the audacity to call a salad. They put this nasty sauce on top that resembled diarrhea. It's BYOB, but you're not allowed to bring outside non-alcoholic beverages in. It's $2 for a soda & then &.75 per refill. What in the hell?! Way to rob people without a gun.
