I am a huge fan of Friendly's and have been since I was little. I grew up in the south and we didn't have this sort of ice cream shop. Every time we would come north to visit the grandparents, we'd all scream for ice cream! My favorite is the Reese Pieces sundae. I went with a friend from work the other day to grab a late dinner and it was everything I remembered it to be. Food was solid, no complaints. And the ice cream was just as good I remember it being. Even thought I didn't get my favorite, I got the Fribble this time, I was still very happy with my shake. The only thing I was disappointed in was the service. Which completely contradicts the first review. They may have been nice but more like nice and slow!

I had high hopes for this restaurant, seeing how I've come here in the past and I've always had good service and food... I came here for breakfast today and boy, was I wrong. I ordered water, over-easy eggs, brioche french toast, and bacon. When the plate came out, my food looked a bit sad and small on the huge plate. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu. The water tasted like it came out of the tap, the eggs were so undercooked and watery that I was afraid if I ate them I'd get food poisoning. The bacon was WAY too salty. The french toast was the only satisfactory item on my plate, but I could tell that it was pulled out of the freezer and warmed in the microwave. The service was nice, though. The burgers and ice cream are probably the only reasons why I'd come back, but Friendly's is definitely not my first choice.

Great place. I ordered the clam strips with fries & coleslaw. I was happy with my order. Clam strips were fried to perfection not over cooked, fries as well. Then of course for dessert I ordered a 2 scoop sundae. Very good. The waitress that took care of me today was courteous and the service was great. I have no problem recommending this location. Clean & fast friendly service :)

The food is what you would expect from a chain restaurant which ultimately is what brought me to this place - the consistency in their food. What will keep me from ever going back there is the terrible service. We got there around 4:30 pm and there was 2 other tables besides ours with ppl in them with 2 waitresses. My husband ordered our drinks which were water w/ no lemon (not complicated!) but of course Raven (our waitress) was not listening and brought back waters with lemon. We ordered our meals and got them promptly (again consistency is a big thing for this place) Raven did not come by one single time to see if things were OK, she didn't clear our table, and when we tried to get her attention she ignored us. While we were eating another group came in and were on desert by the time we decided enough waiting for this lazy chick to clear the table or bring the check lets just get out of here. when she asked us if everything was OK I told her no and I explained why and she had the audacity to argue with me about the lemon. I left her the tip she earned a big fat ZERO!!!!

If sucking could take the physical form of a chain restaurant I'm pretty sure this Friendly's is what it would look like. We were at this location for over an hour on 5/17/12 and the place is bad. The food took a very long time to come to the table but I understand that because initially the restaurant was fairly busy. But when the food came only three of the four entrees were served. Our server Jenn said that it would be a minute or two for the fourth entree to come out. That would have been nice if it were true except that the fourth entree came out almost fifteen minutes later, I know because I was timing it, and by the time it came the other three in our group who got their food were fairly close to being done. The fourth entrée, the BBQ bacon supermelt, when it was brought out looked at best slapped together with an insane amount of BBQ sauce all over everything. Jenn also took our two glasses for what we assumed were refills and while they were returned, it was after a considerable wait and it was naturally with the wrong beverage in them. We finally got around to ordering ice cream and the two people in our party that ordered something vanilla based had a sticky and sloppy mess all over the sides of their glasses as somewhere along the line the vanilla was allowed to sit out too long or sit exposed to some sort of heat source. And to top it off naturally the bill was incorrect. Jenn wrung in a wrong menu item and attempted to charge us extra for one of the partially melted ice creams that was supposed to come with the meal. It eventually got straightened out but the entire meal was a hassle and the employees in the back were engaged in too much horse play and talking to seriously be concentrating on their jobs. While a manager did seat us, he was busy either vacuuming or doing ?? most of the time we were there but whatever he was doing he was NOT in the kitchen and clearly having someone directing things and keeping people in line would have helped. The next time we're in the area with the children at Kids Castle we will not be returning to this hell hole.

It's a shame that Friendly's has gone down heal. This was a favorite of mine growing up as a kid. The quality of the food isn't very good. Our burgers were nothing to brag about and our fries were still cold. The wait was horrible with getting our food. Other customers were pretty upset with the wait as well, especially when they were not busy. This would not be my top pick.

Consistently bad food, bad service, and bad atmosphere. I'd rather go to McDonald's. And that's saying something. And it's not just this Friendly's location. I visited a Friendly's in MA and it was equally as bad. Yeesh!

Two words: Food poisoning! I grew up eating at Friendly's and took a friend who had never been there before. It was so dirty in there, there was a hotdog pack haning over the counter into the trash, there was a girl waitress that kept running her fingers through her hair and then touching food.. yuck! I would recommend the place if you are looking for stomach cramps and giving your doctor a stool sample.

Oh boy, the day we stopped by there was hardly any customers seated (after lunch but not dinner time) and it still took about 30 minutes to get our food to the table. The manager came out and talked to us after we inquired on why it was taking so long. It was not a good experience and we were wondering why we didn't go somewhere else...

Since our son's birthday fell on a Tuesday we decided to take him there for his dinner until we held his party the following weekend. Our thought process was it would be great for a 5 year old to have them sing and then he could enjoy his cake and ice cream. Boy were we wrong. When we arrived I asked the waitress about singing since it was my son's birthday. She acknowledged my question and I figured they would be more than happy to sing to him. They never came to sing, and when I got home I called the restaurant to find out if they do indeed still sing for birthday's. They told me they do. The rest of the conversation was hard to understand because whoever it was sounded like a drunk Jonah Hill doing a terrible robot voice and it was mumbles. If you're looking for a good place to bring your kids for their birthday go to another Friendly's restaurant where the staff cares more about their customers.

I would spend the money and drive the distance to eat at a COLD STONE. The menu's were dirty and sticky and the atmosphere is something my grandma might tolerate. I ordered the Turtle Pecan sundae and didn't eat more than 5 bites. Coming from THIS big girl, that's pretty bad. The ice cream is very low quality. I was disappointed to say the least. One thing I can say positive, the staff was nice.
