i've been coming here for as long as i can remember. but when portobello's opened in the next strip mall over, everyone suddenly went on an anti-bruno's kick. so i guess i have to be the one to say it. the food at portobello's is low-quality crap. after eating there for a year or two (and having bad experience after bad experience), my husband and i decided to start frequenting bruno's again. it was such a breath of fresh air! the pizza tastes like real pizza-- not quite new york pizza but certainly better than what you'd expect in a strip mall in lord's valley. they do by-the-slice which is nice when it's just the two of us, but the full pies are much better. the entrees are pretty good too but be prepared to eat-- the portions are enormous. i'm sorry i left you, bruno's-- but i'm back.

This place has fantastic sandwiches and bruschetta. I wasn't able to sample the pizza, but it LOOKED delicious at least. Everything looked delicious to be honest, but unfortunately both my wallet and my stomach have a limit. The waitress was very friendly and the place seemed clean enough. I will be going to Brother Bruno's again next time I am in the area.

Good food, horrible service. If you are going to eat here I recommend either food to go or go in on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Nick (the pizza man) is ALWAYS rude to the costumers. He yells and screams at people for no reason, because he has absolutely no control of his internal voice. I have known people for years who will not eat there solely for him. About 4 months ago I went in and their computer system was down, so when I handed him a credit card I got "Machines down go to the ATM." Not politely, talking down to me like I should have known it was down. Also he didn't even ask if I had cash. When I said I would be right back I got "You better actually be, unlike the last guy." I have never heard someone treat a costumer so poorly, purely for wanting to pay for their food. I was so pissed off I called the next day (to their Port Jervis location), and talked to the manager. He was extremely apologetic, and informed me that he has actually wanted to fire Nick for years, but is unable to find anyone else to work his hours. I guess for now I will just stick to the chinese food place down the shopping center. I assume the owner said something to him, because about 3 weeks after this I went and he was making pizza, saw me, came up to the counter and said "I hope you are happy with yourself" and walked away. If you can put up with him the food is great. Every waitress I have ever had is extremely friendly as well!

What can I say, Brother Bruno's is OK. It's not NY Pizza, but it's like ordering a Philly Cheesesteak in NY, you going to say it was OK. For a slice in the middle of the Pocono's who can complain. I can say you can defiantly do worse out here (example: Pies On....worst pie on the planet....I guarantee no Pizan was ever present in Pie's not on)

I went to eat with my two kids not happy soup was cold, ordered bacon slices they were cold sent them back to get heated up came back no bacon on it. My hot tea was warm. I ordered a calzone it was black as tar no lie. The cheese inside was not even melted. I don't want to go back it is getting so bad.

Good quality, new york style pies for the location... I usually get take out when I am visiting from the city. They are pretty fast. A few miscues here and there but no big deal. Like most pizza shops in PA, Bruno's also sell 6-packs but, you'll pay a premium -- per usual. Handy, if the distributors are closed or you just want a few beers and don't feel like lugging around a case.

very poor service in dining room; the excuse is always that the cooks are swamped but even when the dining room is empty the order delivery is always delayed!!! today, there was no air conditioning!!! last time the linguine and clam sauce was a disaster. this time the pizza wasn't hot and we waited too long for it with no crowd there. that's it for me-going elsewhere.

Being New Yorkers we know good pizza so when we stopped into Brother Bruno's we didn't have high hopes. The pizza actually was pretty good. We got a chicken alfredo slice, a white slice with broccoli and garlic knots. Everything was tasty so if you are in the area then I wouldn't hesitate trying it out.
