2+ hours for delivery and they just kept lying. When we ordered they told us 40 mins after an hour went by we called and they said it just left. After another hour went by we called again and they said it just left. 2+ hours later the pizza showed up and it was barely warm. Never again.. And as far as the comments from the business owner - more lies. I never spoke to him and I paid completely for my order.

This place has absolutely the worst customer service in delco... they act as though they are doing you a favor by allowing you to eat their food. Food is decent if you can tolerate the assholes who work/run the place

Good Pizza but customer service really turned me off! I like being greeted or even acknowledged when entering an establishment. I was in the area doing some errands so I thought I would give these guys a shot. As Steven B. says there are many options for pizza in the area and they should all be fighting for your business. I placed my order and was told it was going to be a 1/2 hour for a plain pie. I drove by earlier and there was not a soul in their lot. I couldn't understand why it would take so long. I was thinking 10-15 minutes tops! I was almost inclined to call back and cancel but decided to give it a whirl. When my 1/2 hour was up I walked in and nothing! No one was in the lot, no one was eating at any of the tables, 4 workers just stared at me. They said nothing. No hello, Can I help you? I was turned off before I even had a bite. The pizza was okay, nothing great. It was thin which is a good thing. I was just so turned off by their customer service skills. There are many more options for pizza in the area and believe me I will give them a shot over Paisano's. You left a bad taste in my mouth and unfortunately it wasn't your pizza and you definitely did not gain a customer. Next time I will go with my gut and order from a place where I know they want my business.

Paisanos just lost a loyal customer tonight. I picked up our order when I asked for it to be available. The pizza was cold when I got home, the antipasto had green yolks in the eggs and the tuna salad was sloppy with mayo. We have been customers there for the past three years and have not yet had an experience like this. When calling to explain the situation and to see how they could rectify it, the owner got on the phone and told me there was no way the pizza could be cold. He repeated himself multiple times and I couldn't get a word in edge-wise. If there was any pride in his product and responsibility for poor quality, we may still be customers. Thanks, but no thanks.

We can't get enough of the honey mustard chicken cheesesteak. Everything comes together into a delicious blend of gooey goodness. Much friendlier inside than on the phone, I'm pretty sure the owner would do anything to make you a happy customer. We have been a few times now and can't wait for the patio to come in out front. The Stromboli looks huge and smells great. I am only going four stars because I haven't had the pizza yet. Once I do I'll come back and finish the post up.

I must have a high expectations of "good food" but for the initial time I was here, it doesn't cut it. I came on a Saturday night and nobody was there. There was one guy cooking and the delivery driver handling the phones. I ordered the fettuccini Alfredo and waited almost 30 minutes to get my food. I know it's a Saturday night, but really? The fettuccini Alfredo was bad. The noodles were over cooked and hard. The sauce tasted like it was out of a can. Maybe I should try the pizza next time?

I've had two bad experiences with this place and have no plans to risk a third. The first time we went with delivery. The pizzas arrived late and cold without any explanation or apology. The second time we opted for pick-up. It was here that I met the owner, Mark. This guy is a real piece of work. Rude, obnoxious and clearly infallible. The pizzas in both experiences were just glorified cardboard smothered in cheap cheese and no-frills sauce. We tried the fried chicken on the first visit - also a mistake. My guess is that the owners thought they could just throw together a pizza shop with some low budget ingredients and a deep fryer. :::::Four months later, Mark sends me this gem of a message::::: Sorry for your bad experience with me. This is Mark the owner. I don't appreciate the bad review when I can give out pizzas as credit to those customers that feel the food wasn't up to their standards but I been voted the best pizza in Havertown so you must know me and not like me because to write a bad review without giving me a chance to fix the problem is s spiteful act. I make more pizzas than anyone in Havertown by far. Cenzos used to be the ones since I have a lot of their old customers and havertowm Pizza, and Hooptys Pizza are for sale. No one sells a good business unless you feel threatened. I use the most expensive ingredients when making our pizza because I pick it up myself to be able to save money buying the better stuff without the food rep there to spike up the prices. Maybe a good quality pizza is not up your ally that's why there is pizza Hut for those who don't know what good quality ingredients are. Sorry about your bad experience as there are not many when you know how to deal with an issue rather than run home to write a bad review. My pizza shop is growing rapidly so I know I'm doing the right things. You just had bad luck and lack communication skills. Sorry. _____ The take-away: Mark is a paranoid, insulting loser who's pizza shop is in desperate need of cash flow. Best pizza in Havertown? Please. I'd rather microwave an Ellio's Pizza. Read Mark's responses to other Yelpers - the guy has zero class.

There are better pizza places in Havertown, but my wife really enjoys their pizza. There is nothing wrong with the pizza. I think it is good, but not the best.

THANK GOODNESS. I finally found a pizza place that I like (and that boyfriend and I can agree on!) in Havertown. I'm not originally from around here and was spoiled with the pizza that I have grown up on so I have been unnecessarily picky. I liked Hoopty's pizza but boyfriend wasn't a fan so we started trying other places. Paisano's really delivered (both literally and figuratively. ha..ha..). Their sauce was delicious, with a good sauce-to-cheese ratio, and the dough is thin and tasty. The only thing that I would change about the pizza is I would like the dough to be more crispy on the bottom. It's hard to eat a floppy piece of pizza. They also have some fun toppings. It was the first pizza place that I have seen using long hots as a topping. That made my fire-loving boyfriend very happy. Overall, definitely a winner and I would absolutely recommend!

Paisano (or Paisan) is the equivalent of brother or friend in Italian. That's a great name for this place as Mark Anthony treats me like a bother every time I visit. There are literally fifteen (15) pizza joints in Havertown so the competition is fierce. I can stand in this parking lot and just about see two others. I could drive to 5 more in 5 minutes. So with all these choices when the craving strikes I usually come here. These folks make a killer Italian Stromboli. If you want an ingredient added or omitted just ask; it's no problem. The toppings for their pies are always fresh and I appreciate that the final product is never too greasy. If you want something a little different try their white pizza. The lovely wife and I order it with chicken and one or two veges. It's very very good. Most of the time when I visit Mark is working. It's always a good sign when the owner is actively involved. These folks are definitely worth a try.

    * Great Ingredients = Great Pizza & Great Hoagies The nice thing about Mark Anthony's is the selection. Lot's of Italian classics on their pizzas and sandwiches. Broccoli rabe, prosciutto, sharp provolone, long hots, etc. When I want something more than just a standard hoagie or pizza I order from here.

I'm new to the area (and Pennsylvania in general) so I've tried several local pizza joints to try to find the best pie in town. Paisano's makes the best one, which unfortunately isn't saying a whole lot as I've been thoroughly disappointed with its competitors. The reason I am only giving three stars is mainly based on their delivery service. They are consistently late, by at LEAST 20 minutes. My advice is to add on at least a half hour to the time frame they give you.

This place used to be awesome! But, having just moved to Havertown from Drexel Hill, I'm on the hunt for a new pizza place, and I was disappointed. The crust and dough was great. the sauce was excellent, but there was far too much cheese for a plain pizza and in spots, the cheese wasn't cooked though. I'm not sure I'll order form here again. It pains me because they used to be so good!

First time experience with Mark Anthony's was a disappointment. Placed on hold for a full five minutes. Person taking order was not real personable. He promised a callback with a total (which i didn't ask for) but never did. One hour 15 minutes later food arrived.. COLD. We had to reheat everything. Pizza was okay. Nothing like boardwalk or NYC pizza as other reviews have mentioned. Crust was actually more like Greek style. Even well done it was a little mushy. Tried a piece of cheese steak and that was good if not a little spartan on meat. First and last time I will be ordering from them.

Must concur with one of the previous reviewers -- thank goodness we found Paisano's! In the eastern Main Line, and despite many Yelp reviews to the contrary, there are no good pizza options. You have to go all the way to Wayne to find good pizza (Anthony's Coal Fire). Finally expanded our search to include Havertown and discovered Paisano's -- finally a pizza crust with some texture and bite, not the toasted white bread or thick Domino's like crust most shops are serving.

Not sure what the story is with them but I called at 4:30 in the afternoon to ask if there was a website or online menu I could order from and the person who answered the phone barely spoke English and had a hard time understanding what I wanted. I'm not sure but I suspect this place must be under new management and that might explain the lack of a website. The link on Yelp is broken. Hmmmmm, I hope this doesn't mean the quality level of food will be going down too. I will check back in a week to see if they have pulled it together.

My favorite cheesesteaks in the area - especially the "Triple" featuring a combo of Whiz, American, and Provolone cheese. Great Italian style pizza too, nice thin crust. Paisano's is on my Favorites list on my phone. :)

Finally! And thank you Steven B. for steering me in the right direction!Havertown-ians....head to Paisano's for delicious Friday night (or any other night) pizza. The ordering process wasn't the best...the first 12 times I dialed, the line was busy! If it was any other time I would have abandoned the whole thing but I was determined to try this place. I finally got a girl on the phone who was a bit confused and couldn't confirm if they had broccoli rabe as a pizza topping. But once she got it all taken care of, she wrapped up the call and that was that. I opted for pick up since I assumed it was crazy busy and I definitely made the right choice. The wait was 35 minutes and when I got there, the place was packed but my order was ready - a good sign. The pizza was delicious and we ordered a variety - one 1/2 plain, 1/2 pep, one white 1/2 plain, 1/2 broc rabe and 1 cheese steak. The pizza was by far superior to any other I have had so far in Drexel Hill or Havertown and I will definitely be ordering again. The cheese steak however was lacking in bulk and could have used more meat and more cheese (but props to the cooks who actually put the fried onions on the side as requested. I know that when places like this get really busy the orders can go awry and based on my phone order, I kind of thought my order would be wrong but it wasn't....all was correct and yummy. (I am not really judging the cheese steak since it wasn't for me and my quest is mainly about the pizza). Thanks Paisano's for delicious pizza in Delco. Until we meet again.....

Apologies to the other reviewers, but based on the slices I had here, meh. Maybe it's a neighborhood thing?

I came in very close to closing time, about 5 mins b4. Not only did they stay open to make me a small Stromboli, the owner himself stayed to take care of me. It is the best stromboli I have ever had. Their small is what most other shops would call a large, the price was fair and the quality was superb!! You have just gained another customer!

I discovered this place quite by accident, as pizza joints are quite common in Havertown. However, their pizza is far and away the best local pizza I've had, and the slices are huge. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Very friendly service and a nice collection of Phillies photos and memorabilia also.

Great food, the only problem is sometimes the wait can be a bit longer than expected. Other than that it's great. Our go-to pizza joint, bar none!

Paisano's is our pizza place of choice in Havertown. When it comes to a classic pepperoni pizza (usually with extra cheese) we have not had a better pizza in the area. They also make an incredible Italian stromboli. If you are not in the mood for pizza or stromboli but would like some French Fries, go here for their fries. They are always hot with just the right amount of crispiness.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
