Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today, in the spirit of the day, I went to lunch with some friends from work, to one of their favorite haunts, MoMo's. I have eaten at MoMo's several times, and the last time I swore it would be, well, my last time. Highly overrated and overpriced. But like I said, today was a holiday of sorts, and I heard the menu was expanded to include corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, and bangers and mash. So optimistic epicurean that I am, I thought I would go along and give Mr. MoMo one more try. I should have stayed at my desk and continued reading the book I'm waaaay into. (Word of Honor by Nelson DeMille - check it out.) Since the corned beef was smoked (never heard of that) I decided to play it safe and go with the shepherd's pie. Oh, I had such high hopes. But, dashed they were! Dashed, as if they had been dropped from the heights onto the Blarney Stone! What I was served was some chopped meat and frozen mixed vegetables in a chafing dish, with a blob of BOXED mashed potatoes on top, "garnished" with a shave of cheddar cheese. Not even run under a broiler to try to look authentic. I don't think any salt was used in the preparation, because no matter how much salt I shook on the food it remained tasteless. And how much did I pay for this sad, bastardized dish? $9.99! Well, hopefully I have learned my lesson. (At least the company was good, thanks to my co-workers, the only bright spot in this misspent last hour.) From now on, if I'm invited, I will be compelled to say, "No no to MoMo!"

Good BBQ joint. I had the Brisket and Rib combo with both kinds of cole slaw as sides. Brisket was ok, ribs were pretty good. I liked the creamy cole slaw a lot, the vinegar slaw seemed like it needed a few more hours to soak, but it was lunch,so it was probably just made before I ordered it. Corn bread wasn't anything special. Pricing was very reasonable, I had the above meal and three beers, came to $26 before tip. Can't really bitch about that. Also, comfortable low key environment, owner was bar tending. Nobody is trying to be fancy about this place, which is how BBQ should be.

This was my 4th visit and each one was worse than the last. This LAST order was carry out and it was a waste of time and money. Only thing decent about the food was the tanginess of the sauce. Very disappointed in quality and customer service especially when calling to talk to a manager who is conveniently not available. Can Harrisburg get a good local barbecue joint with nice portions and quality food.

I was in Harrisburg at the Hilton for a meeting so I looked for a walkable takeout place and saw this place. I had the BBQ nachos which at best were ok. The use regular ball park tortilla chips with below average cheese. I will say the pulled pork on on top tasted good but overall I would not order them again. I ordered a half rack of ribs which with sweet potato tots and mac & cheese as the sides. I always feel your ribs are loaded with a ton of sauce and not smoked into the ribs they are not top notch. The sauce was ok nothing special no better than and chain place. The mac & cheese was below average flavor the tater tots were good. Overall I would not recommend this place

Went in here on a Sunday afternoon. The food was "meh," at best and the servings were small. Waitress was overworked and forgot our cornbread. Wouldn't return.

I ordered beef brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and Cole slaw. Sandwich was so so. It needed lots of help from the table bbq sauce. Mac and cheese tasted like it came out the can. No flavor at all. And waiter gave me the cream slaw instead of vinegar slaw. Unfortunately he never came back to check on me, so I just ate the sandwich and cashed out....

This place has the driest ribs I've ever had. Always a disappointment. The cornbread doesn't have a drop of moisture. The white sauce is delicious, but every other sauce is average. The Manager and possibly owner is arrogant and unfriendly. Refuses to listen to his customers and is naturally combative. Not sure if Harrisburg has any other BBQ spots, but I can tell you this wouldn't survive below the Mason Dixon Line.

Look, momo 's. I really want to like you. I've been here several times but always leave somewhat disappointed. 1. What quality bbq joint shreds their brisket?? Huge disappoint. If you're shredding it cause it's tough, then cook it right. 2. The bun on the brisket sandwich is literally sopping wet when they bring it out. How does this happen without even putting bbq sauce on it? I have no idea. I couldn't even eat my sandwich the last visit. Until this is fixed, I sadly don't see myself coming back here. On the plus side, the beer selection and fries are great though, so there is that.

During my time studying at HU, this was the place for good food. To this day, I've not found a restaurant that serves better BBQ. The brisket is amazing!

No cell service but good bar service. Nice happy hour and deals during nfl games. Alabama white is my favorite sauce, #sodelish. Also they're open for most Arsenal games, so that's cool

Went here over the weekend. Not disappointed but not the best bbq I've ever had. The brisket wasn't shredded at all, like others have said. I found it extremely odd that there really wasn't a bartender, but every server seemed to make their own drinks. This made service extremely slow. I couldn't be mad at our server, it's not her fault that they do things that way. I just found it strange that they do it this way. We had the beef brisket platter with sweet creamed corn, fries, and cornbread. The cornbread was nothing to write home about, it was kinda bland to be honest. The fries were super fresh and hot. The sweet creamed corn was the homerun of side dishes!! It was amazing...I wanted much more of it (side was of ample size). The brisket was really good, as was the white sauce that I chose. They were out of redds apple ale, however they did have a pumpkin cider which was a good substitution. We definitely want to try Momo's again, it was well worth the money. I'd change a few things, but it works as the place was packed.

Really not impressed with the bbq. The restaurant was cool, kinda dive bar-esque. Was there on a Sunday afternoon, clearly it's a Buffalo Bills bar...which is cool. Huge beer selection. We ordered ribs and brisket. Both were completely overdone. The ribs were porky but otherwise flavorless. The three sauces we sampled all overwhelmingly tasted of slightly fermented apple. The brisket was so over cooked it was basically inedible. Gray brown in color and dry as an old shoe. It also tasted slightly musky... I won't be returning to Mo Mo's. But hopefully they will improve their standards. Their current bar is extremely low.

  • Rhowena A.

It was ok. Staff was friendly, though. Spare ribs were average. Potato salad and mac n cheese were...eh. Probably won't go back. Tried three different craft beers. Two were horrible, but did not finish the third.

Not good BBQ. Our wait staff was very attentive. But she couldn't make up for the poor brisket, lousy canned baked beans or average Mac and cheese. Not on my list of BBQ shops.

I have passed this place countless times and never had tried it, but decided to give it a shot when my sister recommended it. Definitely a great find that I will be visiting again soon. From the outside it just looks like a small barbecue shop, but when you enter you notice it is much larger and has a nice low key atmosphere. The food was delicious, the beer options were plentiful and the prices were inexpensive compared to the rest of the neighborhood. Definitely a great find that I will be recommending to all of my friends!

  • Ali P.

Overpriced and not worth it. The selection of restaurants in the area is pitiful though. Def don't get the Mac and cheese, and check your food for hair before eating. There was a hair imbedded in my corn bread. I discovered this towards the end of my lunch. The waitress did nothing to rectify.

I decided to give this place a try as I love a good bbq place. I got the beef brisket "burger" and it was awesome. The white bbq sauce is delicious and the brisket is very tender and flavorful. The bun was just average but why take away from the goodness of what's inside? Service was speedy, attentive, and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a child beer and a tasty bbq sandwich.

Food: pretty good. Service: absolutely atrocious. Probably the worst I've encountered. Management was rather apathetic as well. I'd stick to take out and double check your order before you go...

So I actually keep coming here. Their beer selection is one of the main things that keeps me coming. It's an open atmosphere, I always get good service, and I just really like that. We also figured out what we like here after the first time of visiting. The pulled pork is really good, as is the corn. The corn was off the first time we got it, but has been amazing everytime since. We actually love their signature sauce and the berry sauce - it's like dessert pulled pork. It's a matter of finding the right things on the menu here.

Ordered for lunch their MoMo's "burger," which is chopped brisket, provolone, lettuce, tomato, bacon, with a very good white BBQ sauce. Got fries for addl $1, also very good, fresh, and nicely seasoned. Service was quick and attentive, appreciated on my lunch break. The hostess was miserable. If she smiled, her face might have cracked. Atmosphere was dark and dingy, probably best not to see too well. They had good amt of craft beers advertised, which are half-priced for their M-F happy hours, and some interesting apps, too.

I stopped in here for lunch one day last week and had the Brunswick stew. It was quite good and so I brought my husband back on Saturday. He had the brisket rib combo and I had the pulled chicken. It was delicious.

Food was delicious. Waitress was undesirable and lacking in the attentiveness of her table. When I approached the manager in regards to the drink sitting on the counter that I ordered 10 minutes prior and the waitress spending most of her time in a land unknown... he simply said "and what would you like me to do" kind of upset me. The appropriate response would have been "I apologize sir, this one is on the house" or something similar.

My wife and I decided to try MoMo's at the suggestion of a friend. Being a BBQ judge, I am pretty picky about the BBQ. My wife ordered ribs and chicken with sides of potato salad and applesauce, I ordered the Boss Hog which is Chicken, Pork and Brisket with 1/4 rack of ribs with sides of vinegar cole slaw and Macaroni and cheese. My thoughts on my meal: The meats were OUTSTANDING The beef, pork and chicken were chopped, but they were not soggy or overdone, which is pretty hard to accomplish. The ribs were done competition style, which means not falling off the bone, but done and render appropriately with good smoke and pork flavor and good texture. The macaroni and cheese was excellent, the cheese sauce had real cheddar flavor, I wasn't a big fan of the slaw, but I am picky with that. I sampled my wife's potato salad which I liked but felt it needed salt. He applesauce was out of a jar or can, but hey, we came for the meat! Each meal comes with two sides and a slice of cornbread, which was good also. They also make their own sauces. Our server, Angella, asked which I wanted. I said I am not picky and to surprise me and put it on the side. She brought out my meal with 4 sauces ALL WHICH ARE EXCELLENT! My two favorites were their mayonaise sauce and apple butter sauce. You have to try them to understand why I love them. All and all, this is the BEST BBQ in the area, parking is close by in the garage or onstreet, but easily a short walk. Go and try it! You will love it!

Surprisingly good BBQ for its locale. Brisket, pork and chicken were excellent. Baby backs were tough (overdone). Sides were great. Don't leave without trying the mac & cheese and creamed corn.

Received a great Groupon deal for this place, so we decided to give it a try.. Yikes!! List of things that went wrong. 1. The place is large but needs major renovations beginning with the old green/gray tile dirty smelly flooring. 2. Table we were seated at had uneven legs so we had to brace it with our feet to prevent wobbling. 3. The "Specials" for the day are handed to you with the menu, but they are on regular cheap full page printer paper..black ink on white paper...sooo tacky. 4. The ladies bathroom is way in the back closest to the kitchen area.. the doors on the stalls have gaps which leaves room for peeping.. 5. Our server was all over the place..a total nutcase. 6. There are gnats flying all around. We noticed something fall from the ceiling and looked down at our table only to find a large bug had landed on our table!! 7. The Mac & cheese is disgusting.. No creamy texture, no taste, no nothing..just gross. 8. Sweet potato TINY tots were just ok.. The ribs were good as well as the tender pulled pork. 9. The smoked wings are a must..very good. 10. There is an old dirty mop water type smell that wafts through the air every so often. I would avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere..

The beer selection is good. Unfortunately, I wasn't there to drink. The food was not good at all. They gave me minimum sauce for my pulled pork and my girlfriends salad had almost no dressing. I then was over charged by about 30 bucks. The waitress fixed it and came back and still over charging me by about 6 dollars. AWFUL....I was so over the experience, I left my tip and left.

I have three primary points of evaluation for a restaurant: Food quality, Service quality and if there are gluten-free options (since I'm, ya' know, sans gluten and all that). First, Mo Mo's gets a two star rating on the food, which tasted meh. I've had better BBQ both locally and outside of PA and while it wasn't the worst I've ever had, it wasn't the best, either. The beef sandwich we got was very wet and blah--not even the BBQ sauce pepped it up much. There were parts of the meat that were done to medium, which for some reason, I thought BBQ was also done well. But whatever. First time I've ever had pink BBQ meat. The coleslaw had a spicy bite to it, which would have been nice, had the dressing in it not been watery. Second, Mo Mo's gets a two star rating on the Service. I will say, the service was fast (on a Thursday for lunch) and the waitress brought our drinks pretty quick. She didn't, however, keep our cups filled, which is a no-no in my book. As for the rest of the service....we get to the gluten-free rating. Third, I eat gluten-free because it's medically necessary for me to do so. While I realize that not everyone avoids gluten, there are enough places to eat, that I'm surprised when the wait staff is ignorant about items on their menu which might be gluten-free. (I also feel the same about items which may be vegetarian, even though I'm not a vegetarian--there are just some common aspects about the food that staff should be aware of.) Anyway, when I asked the waitress if there was a gluten-free menu, she admitted there wasn't, but told me they did have gluten-free options (and indeed, they did offer a gluten-free bun!), and that all I had to do was ask and she'd tell me which ones were okay. I asked about the fries and potato chips they make in-house. After confirming with another staff person, I was assured that both were safe because even though they fry these in the same fryer as the battered items, their "fryers get hot enough to kill the gluten". Um, no. That's not the way gluten works, sweetie. This, of course, made me doubt everything else that came out of her mouth. Is the BBQ safe to eat? What about the rub used on the meats? Only time will tell. I had hopes for Mo Mo's BBQ...hopes that I could get a tasty meal there that wouldn't make me ill. They really didn't past muster with the first, and the second is still up for debate.

I've lived in the Harrisburg are for 3 years, and never heard of this place until a few nights ago. I decided to check it out and I was glad I did. I love BBQ and make it a point to try local BBQ places wherever I go. This place had some of the best BBQ I've had in the area. I had the ribs and brisket, it was delicious. The smoked flavor was perfect and no overpowering and the sauce was great. It was a more then fair portion for the price. On top of food, the atmosphere was friendly, the beer was good, and the live acoustic music added to the experience.

Good food, friendly atmosphere, and great beers = you should go there. I enjoyed the brisket and was delighted to see a number of Dogfish Head, Bells, and Victory beers on tap. Place was clean and service was attentive, I'm looking forward to going back!

When my family came to visit me, I took them too MoMo's because I've lived near there for a year and never went in. The food was amazing!! Good portions and good prices. Good bottled beer selection, too. The service was good, quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!

My fiance took me here for my birthday dinner last night. I had read/heard mixed reviews and went in with pretty low expectations, fortunately I was pleasantly surprised! Venue: I like the look of the place. It's actually a really large seating area, doesn't look that way from the outside, but it goes on forever. The bar extends close to the entire length of the first floor, so there is ample seating if you come in for a drink. I'm not sure how busy MoMo's gets during the weekends, but I can't imagine it ever fills up. They have a really large chalkboard that displays the huge selection of bottled beer that they carry. It really is an impressive selection, featuring seasonals and one-offs from a plethora of the most critically acclaimed breweries from across the United States. I didn't take notice to any imports, but I could be wrong. Food: I started with the ribs and wings appetizer, with the KC Thick and Sticky sauce on the ribs and the Mango Habanero on the wings. Both were delicious! The ribs were fall-of-the-bone tender, with a nice char on the outside and just a hint of smoke. The Mango Habanero sauce on the wings was one of the best bbq sauces I've ever had, and the wings were cooked perfectly; very meaty and no fat to be found. I decided on the pulled pork sandwich for my meal, which came out immediately after we polished off the appetizer. The meat in the sandwich was super tender and covered in a nice layer of the house bbq. I was a little disappointed with the bun choice, which became saturated with sauce pretty quickly, but that was the only downside to the sandwich. The hand cut fries with a little splash of vinegar were also great. Overall, I thought the food was really tasty. Beer: In addition to the expansive bottle list, there were also around 10 craft selections on tap. If you can't find a beer to enjoy, you're too picky. Good experience, will be back!

We ordered the beef brisket and the appetizer which included 6 wings and 1/4 slab of ribs. Every sauce we tried was amazing. The wings were extremely juicy with a good crisp to the outside

I am so confused as to why this place has more than 1 star ( I think its because of the beer selection) and I question if this place would survive anywhere but in Harrisburg. Granted, I am not a BBQ expert but I do know when something is yummy, flavorful and delicious and this was NOT it. I got the pulled chicken BBQ sandwich.....simple right? Yep and it tasted like air! Chips come along with all their sandwiches and I love chips.......however these chips tasted like crunchy circles of air. SMH! I could see the added sodium/seasoning or sprinkles of tangible air on the chip but it tasted like nothing! Friendly staff but this place is overrated food wise. The prices are decent considering you get what you pay for. The food is edible but not worth more than a 2 minute ride. Try elsewhere if you are looking for good BBQ. Womp womp woooomp!

By Far, the best BBQ anywhere close. Its worth a 20 minute ride, but, I wouldn't come here expecting to eat BBQ like it was made in Memphis or Austin, etc. The meats themselves are awesome. Have had the ribs, chicken, brisket, and pulled pork. All were very, very good. I was really shocked by the brisket, very hard to get that right and they did. That said, the sides are just not amazing. I liked the slaw, but feel like they aren't really putting much effort. Have had 4 or 5 different sides, and its sad, I can't even remember them. Not that they are bad, but just not memorable... Regardless, this is very good BBQ. I really hope they do OK, and stay around!!!! Go eat here!!

I don't usually review right after leaving a place, but in this case I'm making an exception because the food was so unbelievably average and I don't want to forget any details about this place. First off, we had the smoky wings and I would say that was probably the highlight of the meal. We got them with the spicy maple bourbon sauce and they were really good. Perfectly fried, served piping hot, but admittedly with a bit less sauce then I would prefer, but hey you can always ask for more. After that, the food just kind of went dwonnhill. The baby back and st. Louis ribs were actually pretty delicious, but not really overflowing with that smoky taste that you crave. The brisket and chopped pork was bordering on overcooked, which seems to be a trend if you read the other yelps. I would say the assessment is accurate. The mac and cheese definitely has the reheated feel. Ours was only lukewarm. It is definitely creamy, but a bit bland. That said, the sweet creamed corn and baked beans were great. Definitely consider one of these with either fries or the BBQ chips. The other sides are forgettable. This spot was in walking distance to our hotel and certainly wasn't bad. It was convenient and had some highlights worth eating again, but definitely nothing to write home about. I like the variety of sauces and beers available here. We had four of the sauces and found all of them quite tasty. My favorites are the KC thick and sticky and the spicy maple bourbon (it's not very spicy though). The cornbread is a travesty. Just leave it on the plate or better still, tell your server to keep it!

This place is hands down one of my favorite places to eat. They have several microbrews and they are always changing. All the sauces are terrific and the wings are the best. Even the desserts are interesting and tasty, an unexpected surprise for a BBQ place. The only downside is the few mixed drinks I've ordered here have been absolutely terrible (not made correctly or WAY too strong). Regardless, my boyfriend and I come here often for wings and beer and it's probably our favorite place to eat in Harrisburg. Edit: We got a smoked turkey for thanksgiving that was to die for. It was perfect and easily reheated. I also wanted to reiterate the best part of this place is the beer and wings. Nothing else really ever hit the spot. We've moved away (to NC, a BBQ heaven) but still think these are some of the best wings.

MoMo's is a pretty good BBQ place in the middle of downtown Harrisburg. I came here with a few friends via a Groupon deal and I was pleasantly surprised. The deal came with appetizer and entres, so we tried the pulled pork nachos to start. They were very, very good. The pork was soft and tender and tasted very good. For our entres, we all had an assortment of baby back ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Everyone really liked their dishes and had no complaints. I personally got the baby back ribs and brisket and the ribs were delicious and fell off the bone nicely. The brisket was also fairly tender and tasted good. The BBQ sauce left something to be desired though. It was good, but it was much too watery and felt diluted down, which is never good. For sides, I tried the apple sauce (with cinnamon) and sweet potato tater tots. The apple sauce was good (can't really mess that up to bad), but the tots were definitely not as good as sweet potato fries, but it was worth a shot trying them. All our meals came with cornbread, but the consensus was that it was very dry and not good at all. The beer selection was also very good (but pricey) and good beer always goes well BBQ. Overall, MoMo's is definitely a 4 out of 5. The food is prepared well and they offer a great selection of BBQ meats and beers, but the cornbread is not good at all and their sauce was not their greatest assest (they do give you extra sauce, which helps). The beer selection was also very nice, but really not worth $6+ for a beer. If you're a fan of BBQ meat and want to enjoy a relaxing, rib-sticking meal, then definitely try MoMo's.

Good beer selection, service was great, and BBQ was OK for being north of the Mason-Dixon line. Probably won't knock your socks off if you are a BBQ fanatic and have been to Texas/Memphis before, but it ain't bad either. They also have a dazzling array of sauces, some of which are pretty different and quite tasty.

Excellent BBQ. We got several platters to try a variety and enjoyed everything. Pulled pork nachos, fried catfish, ribs, brisket, chicken and pulled pork. Moist and full of zesty flavor. The sweet creamed corn could be a great dessert. The chocolate bacon creme brûlée was an unexpected dessert.

Been here a bunch of times. Friends and wife all love it. Try the smoked chicken wings with berry berry sauce. There is usually a $5 off $25 coupon in The Burg magazine. Also, free live music on Friday nights. One criticism, replace one of your many draft IPA beers with a draft witte beer. Otherwise, don't change a thing.

Some of the best BBQ that I have had in awhile. I stopped by here once for lunch and was very happy with the menu. The service was very good and I look forward to the next time I'm in Harrisburg for dinner so I can try them out.

My girl and I went there for dinner on a Friday evening. It wasn't very crowded, so we were seated immediately. She got the half chicken, with the Alabama Sauce. She loved it. I got the ribs and pulled pork combo. My ribs were cold and dried out when I got em. The pork underneith was warm for a little, but not long. The creamed corn was good (sweet). I also had the Mango Habenero sauce, which was delicious. The beer selection is great, but pricy. I was surprised to pay $7 for a bottle of beer I can get down the street in a 6-pack for $12. If it was a hard to find beer, maybe, but it's not. The service was so-so. We n ever got the glasses of water we requested at the start, and sat with an empty beer for a bit before I was able to ask for a new one. The bill was $50 for two of us, with 3 beers. I don't think it was worth it. Maybe for half price happy hour...

Went with party of 13 people and waiter was great. Food was good too. Got the Cluck, Oink, & Moo platter (chicken, pulled pork, brisket). Chicken was ok, pork good, brisket divine. The side of sweet potato tots were worth it and crisp and beans were yummy. Cornbread was dry and tasteless. Now the sauces: mango habenero was sweet & hot, Alabama white had a kick but just ok, andy favorite was the raspberry chipolte. The beer menu is huge. Had the Blueberry Belch which just had notes of berry. There was a blues band there on this Friday night too. Great place to hangout and eat!

I smelled the BBQ smoke as soon as I walked in and was hoping the smell would cling to me when I left. Ordered the Texas Chili it was great. The heat sneaks up on you gradually. I also had the Brisket Platter, and my fiance had the Pulled Pork and Ribs Platter. Everything was great. The vinegar slaw was ok, but I recommend the mayo slaw and mac n cheese sides. For sauces I would recommend the mango and the white bean. Great beer selection, but we didn't see the huge chalkboard listing them, until we were walking out the door. I asked the waiter to recommend a dark lager and he suggested the Troegs. I was very pleased with his recommendation. Definitely a kid friendly place. My boys had the grilled cheese with fries or chips on the side. The hostess gave them each a coloring book and crayons with the kids menu on the back.

I have been searching for a BBQ place since moving to Pa three years ago...I have now found what I've been looking for. Love the variety of sauces they offer. Love the big beefy ribs, perfectly cooked. Even the sides were great. Best brisket I have ever tasted.

After doing my research, I had high hopes when I visited Momo's for the first time today. Parking was not bad (as expected for a Sunday afternoon) and the exterior of Momo's was clean and inviting. . When a joint is all about BBQ, I expect to be greeted by that great smoky BBQ aroma before both feet are in the door; that did not happen...at any time. We sat ourselves and were quickly greeted and handed menus. I did enjoy the numerous HDTV's hanging over what appeared to be a well stocked bar. I also noticed a huge selection of beer was available. The kids menu has an average selection and the prices are good. The rest of the menu is what you would expect from a BBQ joint- ribs, chicken, brisket, pulled pork, etc... you also have a wide range of sauce choices. The kids ordered the 1/4 rack of ribs with made to order chips and my wife and I each had baskets consisting of ribs, chicken (BBQ and pulled), pulled pork and brisket. She had a side of chips and Mac & Cheese and I went with the coleslaw and fries. Both baskets also came with corn bread. The Meats- Ribs - cooked perfectly with a flavorful dry rub, we all wanted more. Chicken (BBQ) was a bit dry but had a good smoky flavor. Chicken (Pulled) was also dry but had good flavor. Beef Brisket - Moist and flavorful but I thought it was a bit too shredded/chopped for my taste. Pulled Pork - Dry and just tasted like pork, nothing special. The Sauces "Signature Sweet Caroline's" - a typical BBQ sauce, a bit runny but OK. "Sweet Heat" - was sweet but lacked heat "Raspberry Chipotle"- More raspberry than chipotle (my 6 year old wanted to drink it with a straw) "3C's" - Described as a mole inspired sauce and though it had a hint of mole, did not have any heat at all. The Sides Mac n Cheese - Had an almost microwaved "heat n eat" flavor Chips - These made to order potato chips were a hit across the board Fries - Skin-on shoestring fries crispy on the outside were another hit Coleslaw - 2 loved it, 2 did not Cornbread - lacked flavor On a side note, the restrooms were very clean and my wife said she finally smelled BBQ when she was nearing the women's restroom.... I hope it was from the kitchen. I am a fan of BBQ and have frequented dozens of BBQ restaurants. Overall, Momo's is a good BBQ joint. Today, it didn't live up to the hype. The meat was all well cooked but the smoky flavor was not consistent. The sauces we selected all lacked heat and the sides had some winners and losers. Though I will not be going out of my way to visit Momo's, I will visit again some time in the future with hope they bring their A-game.

Awesome southern style bbq with sauces that TASTE great without burning your lips off. The creamed corn is absolutely out of this world delicios! Can't wait to try and duplicate the recipe this weekend. Yes, the beer prices are a bit higher than surrounding establishments but drink elsewhere if you have to but go here for some fabulous grub!

We've been to MoMo's twice and love it. The first time we sat in a booth in the back and the last time we were at a table by the bar where we could see the tv's. We love this place, from the helpful and friendly staff, to the great food, and great atmosphere. The list of bbq sauces is impressive and from salads, to soups, entrees and sandwiches we have always been too full at the end of the meal to order one of their amazing-sounding desserts. Please consider coming into the city on a weekend night and I promise you will have a great meal and good time. Parking is never an issue. Bring some friends or family, both can be accommodated, and enjoy!

I went here with a friend for lunch one Saturday afternoon (10/8/11). Upon entering the place is clean, pleasant and inviting. The front bar area has good feel to it, but we opted to grab a booth in the back. Unfortunately, the fluorescent lighting in the back is a just little harsh. The server showed up promptly to take our drink orders. The menu is pretty standard BBQ fare, but a good selection at reasonable prices and a wide range of sauces to choose from. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my friend had one of the day's specials: a smoked turkey Reuben. We both opted for the fries for an extra buck. And we each got a side of the Alabama white sauce for fry dipping. Extra sauces cost $0.25 each. Not a big deal, but it's kinda odd for a BBQ joint to not just have a selection of sauces right on the table to try or to mix and match. Our food arrived pretty quickly. The shoestring fries were tasty, however they were really short.--like matchsticks--and not conducive to dunking. I also would have liked mine crispier. My pulled pork sandwich was okay. Nothing to really rave about, but solid enough. I wasn't really getting a whole lot of smokey flavor and it could have definitely used more sauce. I barely tasted any. It was supposed to be "drizzled with our signature gourmet BBQ sauce." Again, I would prefer to have a selection of sauces on the table so you can add to suit to your own taste/liking. My friend said his smoked turkey Reuben special was very good. The Alabama white sauce we got sides of was excellent, but be warned, it does have a kick to it. Actually, it kind of overpowers everything, so use sparingly if you want to taste the actual food. I'm not a big, regular beer drinker, but as per other reviews they sure do seem to have quite a great selection. I really wanted to like this place more. To be honest, I've had better pulled pork at the "Red, Hot & Blue" chain restaurants in MD and VA. But I will give MoMo's another shot. Like I said, the food was solid enough to warrant going back when I get a BBQ craving. And I live downtown so it is convenient and it's fairly reasonably priced.

MoMo's is the BBQ Bomb! Stopped here for a late lunch early dinner on Sunday and was thoroughly impressed. The food is AMAZING. I am not a huge meat eater but I do love chicken, the pulled Chicken BBQ was so moist and tender, the sauce is sweet and spicy. I loved it! My mouth is watering as I type. My husband tried the Alabama Wings and they were SO good. They smoke all their wings before they flash fry and sauce them so they all have this amazing smokey flavor. We ordered another 6 Carolina Sweet wings to go and promptly ate them at home. SO good! You have to try it! They also have an impressive beer selection. Several drafts with local Troegs on tap as well as loads of MicroBrews in the cooler. I was pleasantly surprised to find my personal favorite Anchor Steam. The service was prompt and friendly, atmosphere is clean and inviting. I highly recommend this place for some fantastic BBQ!

This place is the most filthiest, dirtiest place I've ever eaten at. Rude, racist servers treating our party like the untouchables. So unprofessional, its unbelievable I wasted my time there. Waste of money and food cause we all got sick from it too. Save your gas and don't bother driving into the city for uncooked pork.

Wow. Lots of mixed reviews. I get concerned when so many people are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Usually the "TRUTH" lies somewhere in between. In my case, it was leaning more to the enjoyable side. Wife and I arrived at 7pm. We were told it would be about 10 minutes. Sat at the bar and ordered a beer. Beer was only half gone and we were seated. Our waiter was pretty busy, but once he got to us, he was attentive. We started out with 12 wings for an appetizer. They smoke their wings and then flash fry them. We ordered them with the Spicy Maple Bourbon sauce. The menu states its their hottest, but that's not the case. It was however unbelievably tasty. We also ordered a side of XXX Sauce which isn't on the menu. If you like hot, try this peppery sauce. The ghost pepper sauce is really good too! I have to give props to Mo Mos here on all of their sauces. They have TONS of flavor, heat if you want it, but it never overpowers the flavor of the sauce. The wings were hands down the best I've had in the area. My wife had burnt ends which was a special. I am always leary of brisket since most people overcook it. Well lets face it, most people just screw up BBQ. Not Mo Mos. They nailed it. It was tender and tasty. She also had beans and cornbread. She was very pleased with everything. I ordered the ribs and pulled pork combo. I ordered my ribs with sweet caroline sauce and the pulled pork came with a house BBQ sauce. The ribs had a fantastic bark on them, a great smoke ring, and a decent smoke flavor. I have to say again, the best ribs Ive had in the area. For some reviewers that said the ribs and pulled pork were dry, I must believe you get BBQ at the store with a bottle of Baby Rays and think your living large?? Pulled pork was really moist, smoky, and flavorful. I also had beans and cole slaw. Beans were good, especially after I added a little ghost pepper sauce. The slaw was good and crunchy like you expect BBQ slaw to be, but it lacked any flavor. This was the only disappointment of the night. At 8pm, a band started to play. Nate Myers and the Aces. They were a fantastic blues band and man can Nate blow that harmonica! Nice touch. Good BBQ, an unbelievable beer selection, and free entertainment. I would like to see more places like this instead of the chains that litter the landscape! So for 7 beers, wings, two dinners and some entertainment, we had a bill of $64. Really?? That's a great night for me especially when the food is good. I've been to plenty of other BBQ joints and paid $45 for two dinners with no beers or bands. Bottom line. Mo Mos does BBQ right. I wish there was a place like this on the west shore. I will be returning.

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday. Place was empty so service was good. I got the beef brisket which was ok. It was a little cold for my taste I like my food as hot as possible when I get it. The beef had kind of a funny seafood taste, and same with the fries. Beer selection is great. Since it's the only BBQ place downtown we're kind of stuck but there are better places further out...

I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and the portion was definitely only a 1/3 rack. There was little meat on the bones suggesting a cheaper grade of pork was used. The mac and cheese tasted like it came from an instant Kraft creamy box. My family will not be back. I left hungry and feeling ripped off. There are better BBQ joints around the area with better parking. Save yourself a head ache and your wallet a rip off, go elsewhere!

Excellent BBQ. Smoked pierogies and smoked corn were great, had the beef ribs, they were huge, meaty and tender. KC BBQ sauce was sweet and flavorful. The meal came with a small piece of cornbread. It was light and soft. Our server Nicole was attentive and polite. Macaroni and cheese was mediocre and dry and desserts were not good. (our table had the chocolate bacon creme brulee, which is just as strange as it sounds, and the Red White and Blue cheesecake was just ok.) Overall, it was a great restaurant experience, just skip the dessert.

Not overally impressed. I am very particular about my wings and I actually like Aroogas wings more than here. Tried several different sauces and was not impressed by them. Husband and I shared wings and I got a pulled pork platter and my husband got a chicken platter. They do have a great selection of beers. The prices are average.

I stopped here with my wife and Mom after the 'unwrap the joy' holiday parade. The beer selection is very good and wings & ribs sampler was tasty with the peach jalapeno signature sauce. I liked the sweet potato tots and will probably go back. My wife was a little displeased with the fact the waitress left in the middle of taking our order to bring food to another table and returned 5-10 minutes later after she said she was stepping away for a minute. I would say the service could be better and the food was not the best barbecue there is, but a good experience for the mos part.

I had high hopes for this place after reading reviews about the food. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try it. After going through a 20 minute wait, an eight person party walked in without a reservation. They were immediately seated. When my wife asked why they were seated before our three person party, She was told it was because there was room for them, but somehow not room for our smaller group. As they say, you only get one chance to make a first impression.

Happened to be downtown between lunch and dinner time, so we stopped in for an early dinner. Apparently the bartender was not thrilled with having to wait on us, and his demeanor did not change throughout the visit. Despite the bad vibe and musty odor I still had hope since I had read some positive reviews. I ordered the pulled pork platter, which arrived in a basket lukewarm. The fries, which were cold were soaked in the greasy fluid at the bottom of the basket. The one thing that was good was tbe sauce, but they only put a drizzle on top. My son got tbe st Louis ribs with mac n cheese n fries. The ribs were sub par, the fries cold and old, and the mac n cheese was like the country crock microwavable, but not as good. All around not a good experience. Would never go back and would not recommend.

I just learned I was a slob. I don't mind food served in baskets, little plastic cups for the sides, the lack of corporate plastic decor and no live background violin music. What I found at Mo Mo's, and what is really important, was a good selection of ribs, pulled pork, lots of variety of sauces accompanied by a beer listing offering 24 varieties in bottles along with 12 beers on tap. All served by a friendly staff working hard to ensure a pleasant visit. We ordered the pulled pork with baby back rib combo. I choose a Carolina vinegar based sauce for the pulled port and the house Sweet Caroline's for the ribs. The pulled port was virtually melt in the mouth goodness; the sauce accented the meat flavor letting the BBQ craftsmanship shine through. The ribs were glazed with the sauce which sweet and just right spicy. The ribs had ample meat and the slow smoke cooking was well done. The side dishes were excellent with the beans having a good balance of sweet and spice and the fries excellent and fresh prepared. The meal was accompanied by Dog Fish Head 60 minute IPA which I am hoping is a permanent offering on the tap line up. Looking forward to many visits to Mo Mo's to explore the BBQ offerings then matching them with the various beer styles.

The gigantic chalkboard lists 60+ beers though I'm pretty positive they don't update the chalkboard regularly. The wings are delicious. Service is terrific. A Great place. Easily the best BBQ in Harrisburg.

I was a little nervous given some of the negative reviews but found the meal satisfactory. The restaurant is relatively clean, as clean as I would expect of a BBQ joint, the service friendly, and the prices reasonable. That being said, the wings were the best part of the whole meal with the blue cheese dressing accompanying them possibly the very best I have EVER tasted. Perhaps I should have stopped there. The 1/4 chicken was reasonably smokey but dry, the pulled pork had no crispy , burnt ends and the brisket was wet and relatively bland. The beans were tasty but did not include the requisite BBQ bits of either brisket or pork. Both the corn bread and coleslaw were dry.

This place is GREAT!!! Stopped in on Saturday for lunch. it's clean and spacious and smells like smokey BBQ (in a good way!). they have a HUGE beer menu (check out the large chalkboard wall by the door) and the restaurant is spacious and comfortable. we had brisket (the best I've had in a long time), chili (with brisket and no beans, i think), and catfish (good, but the cornmeal breading was a bit thick for my liking). The sides are also yummy...fries are fresh cut and crisp, cornbread has subtle sweetness, and the potato salad is yummy (though spicy...so not great for my toddler). Fresh brewed ice tea, too...both sweet and unsweet. This place is great and we will definitely be back!!!

Very good, very clean, and cornbread pudding for dessert!! How can you go wrong? I would subtract half a star if I could because the waitress, while very nice and attentive, couldn't tell us what many of the dishes tasted like and hinted they weren't allowed to try many of them? Maybe she was just having a bad night. So minus one half for that bit of weirdness. The standard Sweet Caroline's sauce was great, and I did not think it was just average BBQ sauce...definitely a 5-star sauce. I was there on a Friday evening and it was kind of a family atmosphere, there was great music, not loud and annoying like most places downtown, and one of the musicians kiddos was dancing around. Normally I don't like to mix my Fridays out with friends with my family but I would feel comfortable taking my teen here.

Found this place while searching internet for BBQ in the area and sounds great. invited friends and we decided that Wednesday March 7 was a good day to get together. So, we arrived at about 5:15 and parked in the suggested garage. We excitedly walked to the restaurant and found a sign on the door that said, Closed for Private Party 5:30 - 7:00!!! What a bummer. So I paid $5 for parking in the garage for about 15 minutes and we drove to another favorite spot of all our guest. Hopefully we'll get back there again and find the place is open to the public. Better yet, will call ahead to avoid that mistake again.

I went in around 6:15pm on a Saturday night, and the place was busy but not full. I had a LivingSocial coupon and was excited to try it out because I love ribs and have yet to find my favorite spot in Harrisburg. The first thing that impressed me when I sat down was their beer selection, which would be the one thing that could bring me back to Momo's. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs with fries and apple sauce, and my girlfriend had the ribs and brisket combo with baked beans and creamed corn. Both came with cornbread. Neither of our ribs were very tender to the point that most were nearly impossible to tear apart with your hands and were difficult to bite off pieces of meat at parts of the rack. My fries were cold when they arrived, and the apple sauce and cornbread were nothing special. My girlfriend did have more luck with her sides. I was somewhat disappointed that we weren't given anything in which to discard the bones since the meals were served in plastic baskets with very little workroom. A bit picky, but I would have liked for the extra sauce I requested (original amount did not cover part of the rack) to have been warmed so I was not having to apply a cold sauce. The knife was little more than a butter knife, and it did not fit the meats that they serve. It would have been nice to have been given a wet nap/moist towelette to clean the stickiness off our fingers, too. For a place that has "BBQ & Grill" in the name, I was expecting a lot more and really wasn't very impressed. It was like they wanted to be a "BBQ & Grill" place but should change the name to showcase the thing they actually do well, their beer selection.

Went this past weekend, and was disappointed. This was our 4th/maybe 5th time here. Sat at the bar since we were in a rush, and the bartender came right to us for our drink order. I ordered a draft and asked for menus. My beer came right away, and the bartender went back to talking to the other employees. I got up and got my own menu. I ordered the pulled pork for the first time, and my boyfriend got the pulled chicken, which I've had before. I used the restroom for the first time while waiting for our food, and it was clean, but its set in a weird location outside the kitchen with an Asian screen separating the entrances. The food arrived really quickly as always. The pulled pork was ok, but nothing superb. It was a little dry and very bland. I had to dip my sandwich in the BBQ sauce the bartender brought out, and the cole slaw on the sandwich had no pizazz. Of course my boyfriend's pulled chicken sandwich was delicious, I wish I would've ordered the same thing! Definitely not our best visit here, but the location and atmosphere are great!

Okay, we went last night, me for the first time. (My wife had been there for lunch.) Ambiance was fine, service was friendly, I like the full bar, and the draft beer selection was excellent. I agree with some others that plates would be nice, though I understand the cost of dish washing. It is hard to divide a full rack of ribs and keep it all in that plastic basket with chips. (Don't miss the chips, they are awesome.) The slaws were both too spicy for my wife, and the vinegar slaw was kind of edgy even for me. It could be dialed back. We all had ribs, and our main complaint was that they just didn't taste smoky. I don't know all of the nuances of using an electric smoker, but the smoke taste was just not there as much as we like. Nevertheless, we will undoubtedly go back for another try.

If your looking for great smoked meat, this is not the place. It is passable Mid Atlantic BBQ. The meat is not tender. One dead give away that they know they do not have the quality is the fact that they shred their brisket. A tender, properly smoked brisket is best served sliced not shredded. They do have a very wide selection of micro brews on tap and in bottles and the service was very good.

My boyfriend and I just went on a Thur night. Had high hopes, but the food was just awful. We split the 1/2 chicken 1/2ribs combo with side of fries and baked beans. The ribs were SO tough you couldn't even tear apart with your fingers and they were all dat. We couldn't even eat them. The chicken with alabama sauce was greasy. Fries were just off, some underdone, other tasted like they came in contact with the catfish on the menu. Baked beans were fine, nothing I couldnt get from cracking a can of bush's beans. I really want to like this place but did not. A highlight - great beer selection, I'd go back for a drink, no food though.

Worst service experience I have ever encountered in my life: I was really looking forward to hanging out at MoMo's. I had been told by a number of people how great the food was and how they had a fantastic beer selection. When the Millennium Music Conference was in town we thought it was a great opportunity to go to get some good food, listen to some good music and drink a few beers. We were going to sit there all night eating, drinking, enjoying the scene. There were 3 of us, all young professionals in the area; we had money to spend and friends to call to come join us. When we arrived, we were told it would be about a 10 minute wait, sounded reasonable as it was pretty busy. 20 minutes after that, a lot of people ended up coming in, one party contained 6 people. After 30 minutes of waiting, the hostess decided to seat the party of 6 (the same one that came in 20 minutes AFTER we did) while we continued to sit by the door. I could hear her discussion with the other hostess (I was only 4 feet away from her), she was going to put seats at the ends of a booth that opened up. Perhaps I am mistaken, but that sounded to me like a booth that was meant for 4 and 2 seats would be added, not a large booth that was intended for a larger group. I looked at her and said "are you really going to seat 6 people ahead of us?" She looked me straight in the eye and said "well yeah." We walked straight out the door. I've heard great stuff about this place but I will never know first hand because I will never walk through their doors again. I can't say that I have ever been treated so poorly anywhere, ever. Perhaps I should have demanded to speak to a manager or owner, but I was too hungry and too angry at that point. Sorry MoMo's, but I'm going to have to tell this story to anyone that asks about your place. You may want to teach your teen-aged hostess a bit about service and managing a crowd. The older woman that was working with her was running around like a lost puppy and talking on her cell phone. This place needs some serious work on the front of the house before I decide to forgive and forget.

Our meal here was pretty good. I'm not certain I would go back though, unless they improved a few aspects of the menu. It's true, their sauces are awesome! I recommend the Alabama White and their signature Sweet Caroline. I had the brisket and St. Louis ribs combo; pretty good, but the ribs were a bit too dry for my taste. Unfortunately it was their side dishes that were pretty disappointing. Other than the baked beans, which were delicious, the others needed alot of work: mac and cheese, sweet creamed corn (WAY too sweet), and potato salad were 'off'.

This is what BBQ is suppose to be. Thanks to a Living Social voucher I purchased, I was treated to the best BBQ I've had in quite a while. The shear number sauces available will have your head reeling. I tried the mayonnaise based sauce, Alabama White (never even heard of it before let alone tried it) and the Mango Habenero as well. I was not disappointed. Two other surprises that were great was the beer selection and a blues band playing on the night we went. I'm going back and going to try some more of those sauces.

We have eaten here a few times in the last few months. The wings with the Alabama white sauce are hands down the best wings we have ever had!! The cornbread is probably the worst! We have had good service and some really horrible service! I would recommend this restaurant for beer and wings...not much else...

MoMo's has the best ribs, pulled pork, catfish and brisket around! Everything has a good smoky flavor (catfish excluded of course), as one reviewer said it melts in your mouth. The catfish, which I liked a lot, had a slightly sweet batter and the filet's are thick and big. The homemade chips are great, the coleslaw has a nice kick to it and the beans are good and doctored. The variety of the sauces are outstanding, all homemade, both sweet and spicy but all are a good combination and compliment the meat. The sauce that comes with the catfish, a little horseradish with a little barbecue sauce, as one friend said "They should bottle this". I do wish the cornbread and the sides were a little larger, only because they are so good. As far as the customer service, the staff are very good and go out of their way to make sure your experience with them is the best around. I was very impressed with one of the owners I met, Dave. I asked him on the first Saturday that they were opened how the business has been going. He said that it was going better than they hoped for and they were still working out some of the kinks of opening a new restaurant. Dave said that they did remove two tables so that their customer service was even better. How often have you heard

We just had lunch at MoMo's and came away very pleased... and looking forward to a return visit in the evening so we can enjoy the large beer selection. The place has plenty of space with wide booths and lots of air... nice and open feeling. We had a pulled pork sandwich and a beef brisket platter. Both meats were excellent as were the BBQ sauces that we tried. The food came out FAST, which is perfect for a quick lunch hour meal. For the price, the portions were a tad small. The platter was almost twice the price of a sandwich for roughly the same amount of food, but the sides were better. This is not a belly-busting BBQ joint... my wife and I both left MoMo's feeling a little hungry, but also vowing to return. Also, the corn bread was a little bland, lacking sweetness. Overall, with more impressive portions (the is BBQ afterall!), I would have given it five stars. But the meat is outstanding and are the sauces.... Great BBQ, especially for Harrisburg. Looking forward to trying some wings next time!

I ordered wings while waiting for my train ride home. Plain hot.. the bartender asks, am i too pu$$y to try one of their sauces.. umm.. no! I'll try anything, so since you called me out, you pick the sauce! #alabamawhite #mayobasedhotsauce #kindascurred #butaintno #youknow Well, love the bartender. And the wings were... Really good. Alabama white is a mayo based sauce with multiple pepper's mixed in. So the sauce has a nice kick. More spicy than hot which if you know, will kick your tail longer than anything just hot will. Very good stuff. N the wings were 35¢ a piece. #winning

Great food, nice staff, good selection of beers on tap. We tried this place after finding a Groupon offer for it. We were able to get a little bit of everything and try a few sauces as well. Their house sauce is delicious. Sweet, a little tang, doesn't overpower the food it's on. We tried a few others, my favorite being their Berry Berry Sauce. It was a mix of 4 berries with some cayenne for kick. Sweet without too much heat. The ribs were excellent. Fall off the bone with the right amount of char. The pulled pork and brisket were delicious as well. The wings seemed to be grilled and the char added a level of flavor to them. My favorite sides had to be the baked beans, Mac and cheese, and vinegar slaw. We will definitely be going back.

Today is Memorial Day and my friend and I want to eat GOOD BBQ. I spent about 45mins trying to find a decent BBQ place in Harrisburg/Hershey area. Let's just say MoMo's wasn't my first choice (based on reading some of the reviews here) but the other two places (Shakedown and Camp Curtin) are closed for today and we had no choice. My expectations were lowered. My friend used to live in GA so he said he knows about "good" BBQ. My mind was set on Ribs so I ordered 1/2 Baby Back Ribs and Sweet Tea. I wasn't happy with $15.99 as that's a bit high IMO. I used to live in Maryland and typical 1/2 rib with two sides is about $12-14.99. My friend ordered 1/2 BBQ Chicken meal with two sides. We were IMPRESSED! I was especially impressed with the fries. The fries were seasoned with a mix of BBQ and Old Bay or something. Very flavorful! I ordered some kind of spicy BBQ sauce and it was good. The portion of the ribs seems a bit small but that's because when I was in Maryland, I was so used to eating Beef Ribs which are a lot bigger. My friend LOVES his BBQ Chicken. He said it's very flavorful, not too dry, and decent portion. He also loves the fries. He would give this place 5-start for Harrisburg area. The Good: 1. Tasty for the food we ordered. 2. Lots of seating area! 3. If you are into sports, they have tons of TV and deals on beer it seems. 4. A lot of selections The Bad: 1. Cole Slaw was bad. It tasted sour to me. 2. No corn on the cob for today. How do you run out of corn? 3. Selection of side items need to have a bit more vegetable like Green Bean or Collar Greens. 4. Price is a bit high but maybe it's because it's so close to the capital. 5. Sweet tea is VERY sweet. My friend loved it but I told her to mix half with non-sweet tea. You need to be the judge on this. I would go back again if I crave for BBQ. I give it 4-star for Harrisburg area.

Been here several times, and the food is good and reasonably priced. Large area. Lots of foreign beers, and beers on tap. Booths and high top tables. TVs. A group of 20 was dining in the upstairs room.

Well the best thing I ate here tonight was the chocolate chip bread pudding...it is pretty hard to mess up anything chocolate chip! Let's just say I'm glad I had a groupon at least. The brisket was super dry, do not recommend! Pull pork was slightly better. Cornbread was bad too, which I didn't think was possible as I normally love any cornbread! Mac and cheese was ok, and baked beans adequate at best. Service was weird. She was nice but seems to forget easily and get things mixed up/confused. Overall unless you are staying downtown (we are staying at the Hilton down the street) and absolutely want BBQ for a meal, I would rather get a burger at all the pubs nearby! Skip the dry meat here.

Its been a year and half since I last visited and its still just a terrible as the first time. We sat at table near the bar and the male bartender (who I swear was my server last time) came over to take our drink order and we also ordered our food at the same time. The food came out pronto and was pipping hot (thank you kitchen crew and expos), but our drinks where no where to be found. So I went over to the bar and waited patiently while a female bartender, who was in the weeds, got me our drinks. I took them back to our table. Then the male bartender, who thought he as being cute, verbally insulted me twice. I know not everyone has the same type of humor, but even my friend thought he was rude and was surprised that I was able to let it go. What can I say? Oh right, "DON"T EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!"

Had my first supper in Harrisburg, PA. Delicious and soft pulled pork, with soft and tasty Mac n cheese, to die for. Also, the potato salad was a little spicy but tasted so fresh and tasty. A really good band was playing live as well which added to the awesome lively atmosphere! Beers were reasonably priced, and very good! I had the Lancaster Strawberry Wheat and the Milk Stout. Really tasty. Would definitely come here again. Food took a really short time to come! A very very good and pleasant experience. The waitress was also friendly and very intuitive :)

MoMo's is great, Mike Moran (one of the owners, and the namesake of MoMos) is a class act. Usually more than happy to chat with tables about food and business if he isnt too busy working himself. Almost always there. Its a fathers day staple for our family, as there is no better way to tell dad you love him than with a chunk of meat. We also love taking friends here for their first MoMo's experience. Happy hour specials are amazing, Beer selection among the best in PA, and wing specials almost every other day! Must haves include (but are not limited to) Smoked wings w/ Alabama White Burned ends- its an off menu special (brisket) BBQ Sliders Sampler (pork, brisket, and chicken) on homemade biscuits Texas Chilli Pretty much all the different sauces, there has to be like 15 of them, I love the Spicy Maple Bourbon Pretty much all of the sides, which are the highlight; Mac and Cheese, Creamed corn, Baked Luau beans, Cornbread And usually some of the most creative deserts! These are just a few of the things I personally love!
